I am there Zills, what a day! I'll sleep well when I finally get to bed! This is really aggravating, can they never make this crap move a bit faster? I feel for you having to watch snakes again and hold onto your pee!

Oh F that Bobo! I am so sorry sweet one. This is just BS!

You can have all the cupcakes, you deserve them after all that. I am on the side of a 2nd opinion. I don't like these people, and I don't like how they think waiting till December is a good option. Not because I think this is ANYTHING SINISTER, just because I know where the mind goes when you have to wait unnecessarily.

I wish I could win the lottery, bring you here for the surgery you want,

with my great team, and look after you here. There's a plan!

I am mad, like ldesim , F'ing pissed off. I didn't see this coming either. I am going away to sulk for a while and then I'll be back! M x

Argh. Lost my post. Chemo uneventful but took too long to get started. I expected to be finished at 3 not just getting started since I had no labs or dr to wait on. Am home in pjs with oyster crackers at my side. DH wrestling kids in bath

Bobo. I'm so sorry about your mx, your mother, .... Maybe she will surprise you this weekend.

We will help you with a plan whether you wait, 2nd opinion closer than NJ, file a complaint or confront the BS with killer brownies and Ms pointy eye, Granwe's Ffemara and Idesim's beer sloshing and smearing of cupcakes. As soon as your mother leaves, we'll work on a plan. I promise.

Do you have more Ativan so you can sleep this weekend? I think this calls for some serious chocolate. BTW what does yucca taste like?

This is good.. Ndgirl and spookiesmom, keep on her... I think we need some second opinion action going on here.. I think waiting until December is cruel, I don't give a sh!t what the reason.

Zills, how are you doing?  We have two more to go or are we still waiting to hear back?

Granwe, I hope you are feeling better, just what you need on top of all the crap going on in your life.

GrammaB, I hope you've been good today and backed off on the Ebay.  Do you have to drive all the packages off to the post office?  you need to share the lasagna recipe.. that sounds so delicious and those are a couple of my favorite veg.  I'm so excited for fall as I love the fall produce.

The chocolate cupcakes were delish.. I don't quite know what happened to them, they sort of disappeared quickly.

I'm so upset, my little stray looks to be having some problems, it's like his forehead is all swollen and his eyes are kind of squinty because of it.  Joe thinks somebody bashed him, but I think it's an infection.  I think I remember reading somewhere that if they have worms, it can go in their brain.  I'm gonna be busy googling... it may come down to us having to call and get him captured... sometimes I don't know what is more cruel to do.. let them remain in their natural habitat and let nature take it's course or intervene.  Around here they will probably put him down if he is captured and I don't think I can bear that, but that may be selfish of me.  He's eating fine, so I don't know.

Moira, Joe was yacking just the other day about getting a waterbed.  I'm not particularly jumping up and down with joy at the thought.. I think my foot may remain planted on that.

It's still humid out here, so we are just having tuna sandwiches and watermelon for dinner on the coffee table.

Bobogirl, I hope you are enjoying your take out, beer and movie.... what movie are we watching?

GrammaB. There is no pushing thru the iron bra. Just stretches and massage and a warm towel at night. You are doing too much and your body is letting you know. Watch your posture. Try not to be hunched over, easy to do at the computer. Not sure how you are sleeping--side, back, stomach. May need to try and keep your chest area open with pillows at night.

    Sulking over...

gB, Zills is right. Massage and stretching is the best thing to get that tightness to go. I found sleeping on my stomach stretched me out too.

It took some time gB, it will come. Just try to take it a little slower during the day if you can. I found that the more I pushed it during the day, the more I had the "Claw" and the tightness at night.

ldesim, the waterbed we had was a single bladder. If you go for the two bladder type, you won't have that awful wave. I have to be honest though, I hated that feeling of movement when either of us moved or turned over. I love the rocking of a boat, but that bed was just nasty. I swear, I had to hold onto the side with both hands, not a comfy way to sleep!

Wren, I finally can see your kitty! Beautiful!

ldesim, your kitty is a worry though. I wouldn't know what was the best thing to do in your case either.

nd and spookiesmom, I am glad there are some possible options for Bobo to consider....M x

Bobo, I just cant get you off my mind tonight.. you state that you hate you dr. and I just feel that is so important.. you need to have trust and faith in them as well have some good vibes. your bc team is so important to you and your dear family. So again I am weighing in to really push you to finding another dr. and team. If you find someone you can connect with and feel comfortable with it will go a long way in your healing, not only physically but mentally too. I find I can say anything to my team and they will listen to me and me to them.. this is just my opinion but I am feeling you need to find another cancer team. Sorry if this adds more stress, that is not my intent at all, I know I dont like people telling me what to do either.. (imagine that) so I am just saying this is my suggestion for what it is worth.. take care our dear Bobo..

ldesim, I was delighted to find that I have 16 of the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum books and 3 or 4 others of hers.  When my DS was here, he downloaded onto a thumb drive a huge amount of books he had gotten from a friend who works in some sort of editing job for books being uploaded (totally untechnical here).  They check for errors and content etc.  I have more books than I could read in a lifetime!! And many of them are current books.  I downloaded the first in the series and one called Plum Secret I think.  I'm always looking for fun reads.  I spend too much time researching all the bad things...it is nice to read for fun!!

Idesim, It's a good thing that your stray is eating well. He might have an abcess if he's been in a fight. Or might have been stung by bees on his forehead. I would wait to see if it looks like it's getting better or worse. In the meantime, call around to see if there are feral cat organizations where you live. There's one in Seattle that traps feral cats, spays and neuters them, and returns them to where they were trapped.

Birdie, your words mean so much.  You are right.  Now how to find a team?  We have BCBS, but it is a special edition of insurance called 'GatorCare,' designed to keep its people going to this hospital only.  I thought I'd try the affiliated hospital in Jacksonville first -- they have a whole other team, and Jacksonville is a bigger city.  Meanwhile, I thought I'd call Moffitt and MD Anderson and see how my insurance would work there, if it would work.

You are all right -- much as I want to go to my BS in NJ for the BMX, I need to go somewhere closer, since I am tested constantly.  Can't go up to the BS in NJ every time I need a biopsy.  Just wanted to add this, if I haven't: in 2010, I felt a spot on the right side -- something hard.  It was two years after the PMX, and I knew it was something.  They checked it out with Mammo and U/S, and said it was nothing.   I begged for MRI and got one.  Meanwhile, I lost 30 pounds from stress.  Realized last night that this nodule is in that exact same spot.

Thank you also Wren for taking such good care of Kin.  Good news, gB, about your books!

Hi Bobo, did you get any sleep? Been thinking about you all day!

Just reading your post and thinking that's a good thing, isn't it? If it has been MRI'd, Mammo'd and US, and it was clear back then, could it not be the same thing?

I don't get your insurance, it is so different to ours. I just want you to find a Doctor you feel confident with.

The others all seem to have good suggestions of facilities close to you. I hope you find someone. M x

Absolutely unacceptable, to be told to wait until Dec for anything, except of course Christmas. Bobo girl IMHO it's time to put on the old Bit** bonnet and give this group the heave ho. You said BCBS wants you to use a particular hospital, do they "want" or "demand" that you do? Meaning will they refuse to pay or reduce your benefits if you use a different hospital/doctor? Insurance companies chap my a$$, some di&* head sits in their cubical and plays with peoples health, who gave them that F-ing right? I'd bite the doctors and insurance company like a GATOR! Sweetie you need a team that makes you feel comfortable that is a big part of this battle. You are trusting them with your life, they are to work FOR you, not for the insurance company. I don't mean to preach or to add any additional stress, I do mean that you are important and I want only the best care for you possible. Odds are since it's in the exact same spot it's nothing, please don't stop eating because of worry, it gets windy in Fl don't want you leaving the ground in a stiff wind. HUGS.

Zills, how do you feel this morning? Hoping this round of chemo will be kinder to your tummy. Remind my feeble brain, how many more until you are finished? 2? HUGS.

I can't see the picture : ( As much as I love the kindle it does leave out some things I want to see.

DS1 has taken the OG to therapy this morning, thank goodness! In the fall/winter of 2011 I had pneumonia 3 times, and haven't really had anything wrong with me since then, except that incident of cancer. This whatever it is, is kicking my a$$. I know what the lymph system does, or at least I think I do, but I have a question, could this creeping crud be the reason for my armpit and upper chest are swollen? Doesn't hurt per say, just uncomfortable. I know I should see a doctor, just afraid of opening another Pandora's box by going.

Our baby is now the size of a turnip! Little mommy has gained a bit of weight, she is out growing her pants. Vomiting has slowed to only in the morning, unless she tries to eat meat. We have concluded this child must be a vegan. Bobos influence!

Out of gas, going to try to rest. If I didn't address you individually its not personal, please don't think I don't care or haven't read your post. The energy just leaves the body quickly. HUGS.

Agree regarding the Pandora's box.  It might not be LE.  Still we've got to address the swelling Granwe!

So glad the baby takes after me.  Hope you have already told DD I get to name the baby!  I love turnips.

Doing my best to get through this team stuff.  Talked to my breast navigator today, laid out all my issues, plus told her I seek a new team.  Talked to the nurse of my PCP as well.  Moved up my next appt with PCP.  All while doing three jobs and my mother is now at my house, eating soup out of my fridge, and texting me that she doesn't feel like making dinner for the kids.

Navigator flew into action, told me she didn't want me leaving my 'team' -- just think of all the money lost!  Stand by.  It doesn't matter if it's 'nothing' on the right side.  I need to feel there is some kind of organized patient-centered plan.  And I am sick of being picked to death.  If the princess didn't need me so very much I would retire from this entire business.

Not feeling 100% myself this morning. I hope it is not some bug coming on.  Stomach very iffy and feel totally wiped out! Yuk!!

gramwe, I'll third the thought that maybe a trip to the dr is in order.  What ever it turns out to be, as Wren said, the sooner treated, the better.

bobo, have you spoken to your ins co directly to find out what your options are regarding a change of your bc team?  Go right to the source, your current team is obviously going to try to keep you and your $$ right there.  There has to be another, better option for you.  I worry about you and the effect all this is having on your health/mental state overall. (((Hugs)))

Think I am going to take a nap.  Hope I wake up feeling better.....

    I love turnips too...

I am seriously F'd off over this.. it just keeps bothering me.

Ok so the plan is for somebody to win the lottery and we ship Bobogirl off to Australia (of course she will need assistance, so I will have to go along.. it's a sacrifice I am willing to make).

Bobogirl, I hope it doesn't seem like we are ganging up on you.. but I just hate the fact that you keep going through BS every time you turn around and I just don't think it should be this way.  I have to agree with the others, you have to love your team.. it really makes the world of difference.  Like Zills said, lets get you over your mother's visit and then we can get a plan underway!!  When is she leaving? lol

I agree with Ariom, it's a good thing it was already looked at and I'm sure it is probably nothing, but F living with stress  until December... especially when you have  history.. they have a huge set of b@lls to make you wait like that.. and I am sorry to me that is poor care and we are not going to stand for it! (I am laughing over Granwe's b!tch bonnet too... I am wondering how anybody can be taken seriously as they are b1tching while they are wearing a bonnet... and for some reaon I am picturing the bonnet as blue)

Moira, I am laughing over single bladder waterbeds... is that really what its called? lmao.

Granwe, I don't think LE has swollen chest symptoms... but regardless, you should probably get it checked out if it's now knocked you out for a couple of days.

I haven't seen the kitty yet today, he was sleeping in his condo on the hill. It was pouring rain all night and this morning.. Joe gave him breakfast in bed, but didn't see his face very well.

Gramma B, I am just finishing 16.. I think the first was One for the money.  I can't remember which were the funniest as I've read them over probably the past 15 years.. but I recently have caught up and 13-16 had some serious LOL moments.  They were exactly what I needed lately, just silly and entertaining.  I hope they give you the same.

    How's the tummy Zills?

Ndgirl, I hope you are getting some sleep!!

    Hello everyone!

    Not raining! Yay!

Bobo, I am so impressed at how you have gotten onto the Navigator and let her know what you expect. Getting an appointment sooner is a good thing too!

I too, hope you don't think we are ganging up on you, it is only that we all care and can't bare to see you not being taken care of properly.

So we wait to hear the outcome.

Hmm, your Mother doesn't feel like making dinner for the kids? I hope she's taking them out then! Am I right in assuming you may be stretched like a tight rubber band right now? I'd hate to see you snap!......Take care M x

Bobo, Can't imagine what she meant by "all the money lost". The records belong to you, you can take them anywhere, so the money lost would be on their side, not yours. In fact, it might be a good idea to get copies of those records before they're "lost" or "misplaced". They don't sound too up and up to me. I wouldn't be surprised if BCBS doesn't want to pay for an MRI in less than 6 mos.

Idesim, There's something called truncal LE in which the chest swells. I think it can be present without arm swelling. I hope your kitty is OK. At least he has sense to stay out of the rain.

Gramwe, Check out some of the LE threads. There are folks over there who could train doctors.

gramwe, I am concerned for you too. This is hanging around and making you feel crappy for too long now.

I get the Pandoras Box analogy, but you have to go and get it checked out. A course of antibiotics will likely knock it out. I'd say get onto the Olive Leaf extract if I knew it wouldn't be a problem with the F Femara, but I am not sure about that. There is nothing like this herb for respiritory and viral issues.

The swollen chest issue is something else again. I am not well versed on LE either, but I have read about it going to other places than the arm....wait a minute.....went to check it out and yes, breast, chest and truncal. Don't want to scare you gramwe, just want you well!

A Turnip, wow that baby is really coming along. So sorry about the morning sicknes, but hopefully it will disappear soon.

I love that description of the "Bitch Bonnet". I see it a s blue too!

    Look after you...M x

ldesim, your assistance will be wonderful!

Yes, I know it sounds daft, but the water holders are called "bladders" and they can be two separate ones in a base, so you only have the wave of your own movement, which can be considerable, depending on how full they are. The other thing that will put you off, for sure, is the maintenance of the bloody things. You have to put mould inhibitor in it, because the water is heated all the time. It needs to be emptied periodically too. Just a bloody nuisance for a really uncomfortable bed. I am just remembering how much I hated that bed.

Wren, posting at the same time! I see you have great advice again about getting the copies of everything, and the LE.

    ndgirl, hoping you're sleeping well!

gB, so sorry you aren't feeling too good now. I hope it is something that a good rest will fix...Take it easy ..M x

Zills, you're missing today. I hope you are resting, but I doubt it. Is everything OK?...M x

Sit around the table, chat laugh and just enjoy them.. well guess not everyone comes from my world. please dont snap like a rubber band! ha ha.

Bitch bonnet has to be blue for sure!!

Gramwe, I am on board with the others, better get things checked out, sure it is just a nasty virus but our bodies have turned on us now and we need to be aware of everything. keep us posted.

Granwe. Hope you got to the drs yesterday. If not maybe you can find one with Sat hours and believes in shots in ye bum! This thing is really kicking you to the curb. Hope you get some relief soon.

Bobo. I have no good advice for your mom. Maybe dump soup on her head or shove her out the door with both kids and tell them not to come back for a couple of hours. You need some peace not aggravation! I'm guessing your benefits will have open enrollment soon. Maybe you'll have more info about a new doc and can see what other ins options there are, if you have to go out of network.

Idesim. Hope the cat is better. Your cold weather has come here. While it sounds good, I feel silly wearing a hat and jacket at 4 pm when it's 70! My son called it a blustery day And he was right.

GrammaB. Try propping your "book" on your boomerang pillow while reading. Hopefully it will keep your chest more open and prevent that tightness.

I was really sleepy yesterday and sick and tired of my stomach. Right now I feel pretty good but I'm sure that will change as the day progresses.

I hear the baby stirring but the boys are conked out. DS got some nasty mosquito bites from not wearing a shirt so had to give him some Benedryl last night. Just half a dose so he'd sleep and not itch.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I have not snapped.  Why have I not snapped?  Because I had a very special phone call when I came home yesterday.  Giant cable man was there, DLLP (making things worse, coming to me for everything), both kids, my mother, flapping around because SHE was hungry.  I had just come from two hours of lecturing and a 14-hour day.  And then, I got a very special phone call from a special guest star!  Just what I needed.  Thanks Z.

Z, you have very workable advice for everyone.  I think you should be an efficiency expert for one of the major companies.  I do not feel at all like everyone is ganging up.  I am so grateful you care.  I, I love the Australia option.  It seems like the best option.  How is Kin? Love that he has breakfast in bed.  So did my mother this morning.

Birdie, by 'what about all that money lost' I mean the navigator flew into action because SHE did not want to lose the money for the hospital that they would lose if I left.  So far I have spent 20,000 this year, for instance.  I will call the insurance.  But I just know it's going to be an uphill battle.  Moreover, I feel I have to 'shop' for a team, if I'm given any option to do so.  Just jumping somewhere else may not necessarily be good.  And how will I take time off to get care two or three hours away?  I can't even schedule a pedicure right now.

Granwe, please let us know when you get checked out.  Sooner rather than later.  I was thinking: a turnip can be any size!  How big IS our baby anyway?  I am really getting excited about this.  I believe I need a good-for-nothing non-life-partner of your DD update.  What are we calling him again?  The Weasel.

ND, agree, cooking for grandkids should be a pleasure but my mother is a sincere washout in many areas.  I can't begin to tell you.  I can't believe I'll get no rest at all this weekend after the week I've had.  In fact, it may shock you to know, I am at the office right now.  DLLP is shopping.  My mom is very anxious about 'What will we have for dinner?'  She wants me to make dinner.  We will try to get out to the movies this afternoon.  But she wants us home for the dinner making..

I am having a hot flash right now.  Ariom, I wish you were here.  You could do your pointy-mother eyes at... my actual mother!  And then we could go for pedicures.

What's going on for appts this week?  Z, please keep in touch regarding tomorrow.  Sure hope you feel as well as possible.  What are we eating these days?  Jello?   Yogurt?  You still doing kefir?

Feel better today.  I think my body just had enough of me pushing the envelope and made me feel sick enough to take it very easy yesterday.  Will do the same today....

Zills, I'll try that with the pillow when I am reading in bed.  The tightness usually comes on in the evening when I am tired from the day...I guess another shout out from my body to take it easy!!

I hope you have a good day with no stomach problems.

bobo, I'm with Wren, give your mom some money and point her to a restaurant nearby!!  The nerve of her telling you that you need to be home for dinner when you plan a nice afternoon for your family!  I'm thinking you might need to get that B1tch Bonnet out........ ;)

Wait, wait, you fixed your mom breakfast in bed this morning? Very sweet of you, but don't you think you are just encouraging her to be needy?  She needs to return the favor and fix you dinner!!  Or treat everyone to a dinner out!  I hope she is going home soon too.

gramwe, a turnip eh?  This is exciting, when my DD's partner was carrying their baby, they would send me those weekly emails telling what was happening with the baby at that point.  Some of the veggie/fruit comparisons were odd though!

Please do let us know how you are and what the dr says.  Sending you healing energy.

Planning a very quiet day (you hear that body? I'm listening to you!) feet up in the recliner and a book in hand.

    Have a great day everyone!!

Bobogirl, what is the purpose of mother's visit?  Besides being an aggravation that is.  Testing out my new netbook to see if I want to keep it... my other one is on it's way out.. it's about 4 years old.  This one has Windows 8 and a touchcreen.. so far Windows 8 isn't so bad.  What's the odds I somehow lose this post eh?

Kin is doing good, the swelling has gone down a lot.. he's been sleeping quite a bit in his house on the hill and he's eating fine. Hey! I can scroll up and down w/my finger.. this is too cool!!!

Glad to hear everybody is doing better today.... Zills hope that stomach is still holding up.  Still cool here and it is going to get cooler as the week progresses... I am going to start to take out some of the winter stuff... that's so depressing!!

Hope everybody is enjoying their Saturday!

Woo!! Made it without losing the post..... Posting XXXX

Z, how are you getting on?  I know it's a challenging day.  Is your sister helping?  How is miss Poopy Pants?

GB, NO!  I did not make her breakfast in bed.  DLLP did!  And it was 'in bed' because breakfast was being made, and she was not getting out of the bed!  I am innocent!  Guess what?  She is sitting right here! *sound of maniacal and exhausted laughter*

Idesim, the purpose of the visit is this:  my brother horrible divorce.  My mother babysitting for him for two days while he works out of town.  Then she comes over here for two days to make it "equal."  I am so glad Kin is better.  Keep me posted.

Birdie, so happy for your f kitty! But totally understand bittersweet.  You know, I took in a couple of kitties last year -- found home for one, couldn't bear to do it with the other.  Actually, the vet told me I couldn't -- he was so ill in so many ways, he wouldn't survive a home switch.

A, when you get a chance, may I have your veg soup recipe?  I am going to make it with garlic bread.  DLLP made a chicken, and she's making chicken soup, and I want to have soup too.

Believe it or not, I am now going to grade papers.  No rest for the wicked!  Anyone want to grade papers?
