What? I missed the Birthday part... Happy Birthday Wren!!!!!! Are you doing anything special? Clogs are in fashion to my knowledge. I would love to get some clogs, but I walk heavy as it is.. I'd be a nightmare in clogs... everybody is always yelling at me to pick up my feet!

GB, they do take awhile to ship... I too am spoiled by Amazon, I've been doing Walmart a lot too now that they have free shipping on everything over I think $49.00 and they are fast shippers. I am an internet shopping junkie... have been for a long time, I hate going into the stores now.

GB love those items, especially the dress. I am still resisting though!

Bobogirl, best of luck with your brother.. men are such damn babies!

Well Good Morning, my Leisure Suited Gang!

I haven't stopped having little laughs to myself about this Marika "Awakening"I hope you are all happy with it when it comes. Some of the photos of the other purchases had me wanting to start shopping again, lovely stuff.

ndgirl, I have a gag response to pink these days! I never really liked it very much, but now I have a negative physical response to it, they do so much Pink awareness stuff in Australia. Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with the fundraising etc, just the Pink!

Bobo, one of my GF just had a big knee surgery. I actually wanted to go too Melbourne to stay with her after it because I doubted she'd be able to do anything for herself. She said she would be fine, and guess what? I rang to see how she was doing on her second morning at home, and where was she? Out shopping for a birthday present for someone. It is just us gals, I think, we just plough through everything and get on with it!

Zills, I am so sorry that you are having issues with this treatment. I used to get a numb side to my tongue from Migraine, weird feeling. I can't wait for this part to be over for you. Lean on us any time you're not feeling positive. You're doing so well. Big hugs to you! PS Get some comfy Marika, for your PT.

Now, the only reason I have not shared about my Marika buying was because I didn't think anyone would be interested. Now, I will alert you all to the 50% off the already reduced Clearance area, which is the time that I buy up big. In the most recent one I got 10 items for under $100!!!!! I just can't resist!

Wren, I am smiling at the lala, fingers in your ears, and the impressing someone in a fantasy situation. I have a secret laugh to myself when I get complimented on a Marika ensemble, usually I haven't spent more than about $40.00 on the entire outfit, which would have been over $200.00 if I'd paid full price for all those pieces.

Thanks ldesim! I said to Colin,"Do I look like a hooker in those wedge sandals with the cigarette leg pants!" He says "No, Honey, why? I say, ldesim thinks it looks "Hookerish!" He says, "Did you upload a picture on your own"? I am still laughing at that one!

I am off to my Thursday morning Opp shopping experience...will be back...M x

I feel guilty. Bought three pants and three shirts. Going to get three more zip up fleece jackets on Friday. They are soft on my skin and easy on my arm.

The PT says stretch, stretch, stretch. Will be tight for awhile after surgery. Doc not sure numb tongue is part of rads.

Daycare called while I was napping. Baby has a fever. Her grandmother picked her up. Seems fine now but is supposed to stay home tomorrow.

Waiting on DH to get home. Sitting in my pillow palace watching cartoons. Baby bringing her stool to climb up and join me.

Have a good night. Good luck shopping M.

No guilt Zills! Enjoy your new clothes!

The stretching can be hard, but it will feel so much better later. I know it must be sore after the rads, but try not to let it get too tight. I had to force myself to do the PT exercises 4 x a day for months and then the Rites.

Have a comfy warm day in the pillow Palace! M x

Bobogirl!! Foobs in my PO Box today!! Thank you so much!!Smile So I stuff them with fiberfill? The stringy thing, do I coil that to be a nipple? They will be so much more comfy than my silicon foobs! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!!

OK, I held out most of the day but a while ago zulilly sucked me in again! This time I did ldesim's trick. I ordered one item and now have free shipping on any other orders tonight. Sigh, I just can't stop myself! This is what I ordered:

    image $13.49

Will try to do Christmas shopping and not indulge myself any more. Yesterday retail therapy did me well. It was the 16th anniversary of my DH's death. I always have a down day on the 12th of Nov. But I don't have any excuse for today!

Ariom, you reminded me to keep up with my stretching. I have gotten a little lax in the last few days and I can feel the tightness more. Will this steel band around the chest feeling ever go away?

Nice buys GrammaB! After looking some more I decided not to indulge, still have some hospital bills coming I am sure. I sure love some of those dresses too, but I dont look so good in sleeveless tops anymore, or shouldnt I worry about that and just wear them?

Good question about tightness, last dr. visit, she told me to always do them or else scar tissue will over take and be very stiff. I really notice if I miss a day.

Yes, I had another finger that locked up on me many years ago and got a shot and it still feels better, so hoping he gives me another, I do typing at my part time job and need flexibility. This morning it was really painful and that is not usual. I have been just tired lately and kinda down in dumps which is never me, hope to hell it isnt this medicine too. Things will be fine I know, just need to get some good sleep which i cant it seems..

But I love the clothes everyone has picked out. I spent too much time on that site! Has anyone bought any new bracelets lately? i havent but dont tempt me.. ha!

Keep stretching tho I know it helps, my friend that had lump many years ago still has to do stretches.

Hi, I am back from the "Oppy" , I just can't help myself!

I have a label that I love, Nicola Waite, but it is so expensive, I don't ever even look at it in stores any more, but today, a jacket was waiting for me. It is brand new and perfect and it was $2.00 that's about $398.00 off!!!!!!!!

gB I have those pants too, love them! Glad you got your knockers!

I am still obsessive with the massaging, and the Rites take care of the stretching, but I still do some of the exercises from the PT. I am phobic about getting tight.

ndgirl, I don't look too great in sleeveless things any more, but I still wear them. I probably wouldn't wear sleeveless to anything social, but just a normal day, or walking the dog, I love them. I have heaps of those waterfall cardigans, so I wear those over a sleeveless cami or top.

I am so sorry that you're feeling down in the dumps, and you're still not sleeping. That's gotta be a PIA! Hugs to you! I hope you feel better soon!

    Take care everyone...M x

gB I didn't have the steel band feeling really. Mine was the"Claw". It felt like a sharp caw holding my chest and under my arm. I started the massage almost immediately after surgery and had Myofascial release done early on too. I don't know if that was what prevented that band feeling, for me, or if in fact, it is the same thing, we are just describing it differently. I also had Mondors Cording after my surgery which was a really nasty feeling thick ropey cord that came from where the nipple had been, and then branched off into 3 long ropey cords across my abdomen and my ribs. I had to do really hard stretches for that too. My surgeon said it was self limiting and like varicose veins. It did go away, but it made me feel like there was something anchoring me when I stood very straight or leaned backwards. I went away after 2 or 3 months and I felt much freer when it wasn't there. My massage therapist really massaged it hard during the release massage. It hurt like crap, but at least it went away.

I think if you keep at the stretching and massaging, you need to do it pretty hard, it will resolve itself eventually. There's been a lot of cutting and reattaching going on in there! M x

Hey M, we are posting at the same time! Congrats on your jacket! Hope you post a picture...

ND, nope, have not bought bracelets lately. Probably because Idesim got off of it. It seems we all buy whatever she buys. I wonder what she will buy next. Yes, gB, I did not stuff your knocks because you've been losing so much weight -- was not sure what size you are. You can stuff and unstuff if you lose or gain. You're right -- coil up the long things for the nipples. Some people like prominent ones, some do not.

Wren, is it your birthday? Wait. When is it? I think it's nice that you want to get some snazzy outfits. Of course you do not want to look like a hooker, like some people in our group might look! Some people, who used to be around rock bands a lot! Who could I be talking about? About whom could I be talking? Hint: I have a picture of her on my refrigerator in which she is wearing go-go boots... :)

Z, congrats on your new clothes! How is the baby doing? We are here for you every step of the way. One week down. Don't let yourself get the baby's fever! How is your tongue today? Are you having something good to eat?

Back to work for me. My nephews are sleeping, my brother is quiet for a minute, and I'm working from my laptop. Exhausted. Got to be up at 3 a.m. to empty his drain! Yuck! I'm going to have four of them, I've heard. So I'm getting some drain practice.

Now, Nurse Ratchet, I mean Bobo! You just take care of those drains and leave my Go Go boots alone. I had those boots in 3 colorsHappy

3am for drain emptying isn't that a bit pedantic? Who's idea is that?

I hope you can get some sleep before work tomorrow, are you spending the night there?

    Take care now...M x

Thanks for the wishes. The birthday is long gone. We have birthdays 8 days apart, so the partying does a number of the waistline. DD & family took us to our favorite Mexican restaurant. I was thrilled to see tostada added to their menu. It's my favorite dish. They have lots of vegetarian dishes too.

We're cat sitting for another foster parent next week. He's a nice big black boy named Boris. He may even be off medications by then and we can just enjoy him. His regular foster parent keeps him in her store. She has gotten a lot of cats adopted from the store.

I can just picture M in the go-go boots.

Wren. I remember now about your birthday. I'm glad you got your favorite meal. Enjoy Boris this weekend.

NDgirl. I find sleeplessness is worse during the full moon. I nap well on rads from 8-9 pm to 11-midnight. Would love to break the cycle. Maybe after I join the gym in Jan.

GrammaB. My tightness went away before rads. It would show up if I was on the computer too long. Hint, hint. I have bad posture now. Sorry about your DH.

I bought the same pants as Idesim and the three colored power play shirts. I prefer cotton and have tanks that I know work with my port. I will not fade into the woodwork!

    M. Congrats on the find! Still using the air fryer. Do you make your own coconut prawns? If so, how?

Hello Granwe! When is the shower? I forget when the baby is due. Are you hosting Thanksgiving? Dumb question? What's on the menu?

Our family goes to my sisters here in town but I always have a turkey at home. DH will cook it. Will cheat with Bob Evans mashed pot and Mac n cheese, box stuffing, green bean casserole andSister Schubert rolls. I love my grandma's pumpkin pie. Hope I have the oomph to make it and it tastes good. Finally found some dream whip so I can make whip cream with the baby's milk.

Bobo. 3 am? Really? I needed pain meds in the middle of the night but only stripped my drains twice a day. At least you'll be an expert for yours. I had 4 also. They are a pain but generally don't hang around long!

Yes I ate better today as far as volume but had Pringles and Oreos. Seem to be in a rut as far as veg is concerned. Need to make a spinach quiche. Lettuce doesn't agree with me.

Baby was fine all evening. Kinda expecting her to wake up in the middle of the night. My sister will watch her while I go to rads. Just hope we can nap at the same time.

Boy's school has strep and stomach virus. Arghh. He's tired but otherwise seems fine. Even took his blanket to school!

Guess I need to try and sleep.

Hi Zills, Yep, I am still using the Air Fryer most days, even if it is only to heat bread rolls in a couple of minutes for lunch.

Coconut prawns are really quick and easy!

green prawns deveined and tails on.

dust the prawns with cornflour and dip in a mix of egg and splash of coconut milk, then coat in shredded coconut and deep fry till golden. Serve with sweet chilli, Chilli Coconut, or whatever dipping sauce you like.

With the Air Fryer, I just put about a teaspoon or so of oil in the coating of the food that you would normally deep fry. So far I haven't had a failure!

I hope you've had a good rest and that the children are well......Take care M x

    Don't shoot the messenger.

Uh-oh. Shopping update from our Idesim. Dare I check it out?

Hmm. Z. When I am in a veg rut I always turn to squashes. Baked butternut or kabocha squash, lots of (soy for me) butter or olive oil. You can make it sweet with a sprinkle of nutmeg and a drizzle of maple. I like to blend roast squash for a soup (in the vitamix) with milk or coconut milk. Great with a plop of miso in there too; that will be good for your digestion.

Ariom, it is not a surprise to me that you had those boots in three colors! I can just imagine you standing in front of your closet, weight shifted to one hip, wondering which pair to wear. You beatnik. :)

Oooh. My brother is outrageous. He is telling me what to do constantly. At one point he said, Stand there and call my phone. I can't find it. I went to get my phone, but he repeated, Stand there. I explained I could not stand there, as my phone was in another room.

He is twirling a lock of his hair and clutching his BABY BLANKIE, which, incidentally, is on his bed all the time, I now know! It is his childhood quilt, worn to a thread. I have known it was in the bed with him, but now he is dragging it from one couch to another! A grown man, six feet three inches! Drain out today. Agree: excessive to drain it in the middle of the night. But we wouldn't hear of draining it at midnight (a little early) and then again at six (it's supposed to be every eight hours). I am exhausted. Plus taking care of my two special-needs nephews. Yes, I spent the night, and now will again tonight, since my brother is telling everyone, Bobo is staying two nights. News to me! Meanwhile, my princess misses me, and so does Bobo. And I am behind on work. DLLP bringing our two over here for dinner tonight, and I am cooking for everyone!

Wow. You should have seen what I cooked yesterday. I will not list it all here. And then I would make my brother a plate, bring it in (he has a gigantic mansion, everything is like a mile from everything else), go back to the kitchen, put it all away, and then he would call me and hold out his plate and say, Refill. So I would have to get everything out again, mise en place, slice bread from baguette again, get butter out again. Today I put yesterday's homemade baked macaroni and cheese on a plate, cut it in to little squares so he wouldn't have to cut it as he reclined, heated it up, then served it to him with a fork -- he put the fork aside and ate the pieces with his fingers!

Off to write a quiz and make spaghetti sauce. XXX

How you doing? Regarding shopping: I want to buy some coconut oil and some Weleda Pomegranate body oil at the moment.

Do not look for me to "collect" from my brother. I will wager he will be out of town for my sx... I just have to do things for him without thinking about that...

OMG Bobo, where do you get your energy from? now that is one place I would order a bunch from if I could! please take care of yourself! Brother should wait on you hand and foot!! but maybe you wouldnt like that much! I know how you feel in a huge house, my son has one like that, felt like I had to walk 1/2 mile to get to the bedroom! Hope your little ones are ok.

M, of course go-go- boots! I only had 2 colors.. white of course.. didnt everyone have white? and black for me. Remembering really wanting some yellow ones, but never swung that one by my mother!

Happy Belated Birthday Wren! glad you got a good meal and enjoy your appreciation dinner too, hope your friend is able to be there too.

Zills, your turkey dinner sounds great! and you will have leftovers! I think they are the best part and we dont have to cook for days! hope kids stay well and you too.

Idesim, Well i did some shopping but not for the fun things... ordered 3 more mx bras! insurance says ok so this time I ordered from Jodee, they have a soft looking midnite blue one that they rave about so will update you about that later. Also ordered a leisure one too, been looking at that one for awhile, for being away from home and lounging as we sometimes do in morning. I know there wont be much support but that is ok for this.

Weather is supposed to turn real cold.. grammB are you sending it our way? ours usually comes from the west so I am blaming you!! just kidding of course!

ND, I am blaming YOU! North Dakota! Because it got no higher than 60 here yesterday. And my brother blamed me. You said it would be 77 today, he said, several times, while he was on drugs.

Currently I get my energy from beer (?). I am having a beer. That's right. And it is 3:37. My brother is sleeping as I have given him the maximum recommended dose of pain medicine. I have two minutes to myself. Still have not written my quiz.

Wren, how did we miss your birthday? I still do not 'get it.' Did you have a wonderful meal? ND, I have one of those leisure bras about which you speak. But soon I will not need it, or any of my other DDD bras, and I guess I do not know what to do. They are new since April. Shall I announce them on the thread? Give them to an 'angel closet,' along with my 750 dollar prosthesis? Or simply tip the whole thing into the trash?

Using the thread as an avoidance mechanism.

If it was me I think that would make me feel good! You will do the right thing for you. Well guess I better crack a beer huh? I like it with tomato juice! bobo, I am so sorry your brother is being such a pain. You really don't need this right now. Is your mother coming to help him after you leave? On a different note, the foobs are wonderful!! They are so light weight! I really needed this instead of the heavy silicon foobs. Now I might even wear some of my bras.....maybe. Thanks again! :)

Airom and Zills, this band could well be the full version of the claw. It is far worse in the evenings. I made a point yesterday to do the exercises about 4 times and it feels better today. Must keep up the stretching!!

ldesim, I did manage to restrain myself yesterday, the only thing I got on zulily was the Markia pants. Now today we have Lakeside Collection!! I put a few things in my cart there, but there is no way I can spend another $100 after my zulily forays. It is a shame, but can't do it!!

ndgirl, no snow here yet, but we are supposed to be slammed starting Fri night all through the weekend. It looks like the worst will go to the north of me, but I'm sure we'll get some. Our weather mostly comes from the Pacific NW or down from BC Canada. It does probably go on to you after departing my area though.

Ah, gogo boots, I only had black ones. We were such a wild bunch way back then!!

Zills, hope the boy doesn't bring home anything from school. I want you and the babies to stay healthy for a good long time. Like until you are done with the rads!!

My family is all in CA so I go to a friend's house for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day dinners. Her sister used to live across the street from me in CA so when I moved up to MT they sort of "adopted" me into their family. Very sweet of them.

bobo, not only are you the energizer bunny, you are a Saint to put up with your brother at this time you need to be doing things of your own before sx!! You continue to amaze me!

Spookiesmom, I didn't know her.. I am so sorry to hear that. I don't know what I get more of, pissed or sad when I hear this type of news.

M, sorry to hear you are having trouble today.. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I know I typed a post last night.. I guess I never ended up sending it.

M, I don't think wedge sandals are hookerish, I was more referring to the 3-4 inch thin heeled platform shoes that are popular here, I think they look hookerish with the straightleg skin tight jeans/leggings. I am laughing at the conv w/Colin!

Zils, I don't think you should feel guilty, you deserve a couple of nice things and you will be thankful to have the soft material against your skin. When it comes right down to it, they are a necessity. I am so happy to hear you are feeling a bit better today!

GB, I couldn't justify spending $100.00 either so no purchase for me.

Bobogirl, what your brother needs is a slap upside his head! I better hear that he reciprocates in a few weeks time!! What a baby!

So wait.. Bobogirl has a pic of M on her fridge in go-go boots??? huh??

Ndgirl, I have been good on not buying more bracelets.. I think I got my fill of them!! Beer and tomato juice?? Never heard of that one before.. interesting.

Wren, that's sweet of them to hold a dinner! I am looking forward to updates on Boris too (love that name!!). My mother is addicted to black cats. I brought a stray home as a teenager that was all black and ever since she's always had a black cat.

Crappy stressful day at work, so I am calling it a night early.

Hello all! I have spent the whole day on the couch, and feel marginally better this evening, but hands are swollen and joints are hot and sore. Don't know what kicked this one off.

ldesim, I know you meant the big high stiletto shoes, but wasn't Colin's conversation priceless!

In fact, over here, they had a far more disgusting name than Go-Go boots. These went up and over the knee. They affectionately call them CFM boots in Oz! I had white, black and chocolate, and they were worn with the shortest mini or hot-pants and a maxi coat to the floor! mm mm looking good!!!!!!

I am with you with the head slap for Bobo's brother. Aren't men unbelievable when they are sick! I am just so impressed that Bobo hasn't given him a slap....yet!

I can't remember the actual reason, but I had spoken of the photo I used for the invitations to my 50th Birthday. It was a teenage modeling shot, and Bobo asked to see it. I don't know how it ended up on the fridge!

Wren, I hope you have fun at the dinner.

gB, so nice that you have friends close by to celebrate the Holidays with. I am thrilled that Bec was able to get leave again this year. I was sure she'd be denied after the time she had last Christmas, but her boss must have been having a good day:), just a shame it doesn't stretch to New Years too. We have a sensational Fire Works display right in front of our house, that we saw for the first time last year. Bec is talking about coming back for the one night and going back the next day, so we will see.

Zills, I am scratching my head here! Do you mean you can vacuum all your rooms without having to plug your vacuum in to different plugs? or is it an in wall vacuum that reaches all rooms? I am not "getting" this one:)

ndgirl, you're right about the Ebay sales of mx accoutrementsHappyI have bought some there myself! Also, there are some groups who distribute donated stuff to women overseas. There are good options other than tossing them out as some do. Not sure about the Angel Closet though, as I remember, that scared our girl Bobo, so I'd stay away from that one!

Spaghetti Bolognaise on the coffee table tonight, then an early night...catch you tomorrow! M x
