Case in point, we have a hugely lucrative trade in opiate based drugs that thrives on both the black market and the legal pharmaceutical market. When the federal government changes the status of marijuana, it's easy to envision the same type of thing occurring. You can indeed patent delivery systems with dosages based on research based science. If we didn't have plant based pharmaceuticals we'd be without a lot of drugs! I believe that saying that marijuana will never be adopted by the pharmaceutical companies because it's a plant, is an old meme which doesn't hold water anymore

It'sofficial! I am expecting my second grandchild in late April. This is the first child of my younger daughter and son in law. I was diagnosed shortly before their engagement party. I hoped to make it to their wedding, which I did, and now, two years later, I am thrilled to be awaiting the birth of their first child. Watching life continue is exhilarating.

Dawnann, good question! I have only been diagnosed for a little over a month. But have found that there are great coping tips from many of these couragoues ladies on the " tips for fighting the dark clouds" thread. Kiwicatmom has some great tips!!

Thank you all for your good wishes. I am so excited . Babies always bring such happiness to families.

    Dawnann,

Since you're a new member, I assume that your stage IV dx is new ( I may be wrong). It takes time to adjust to this and to process what this means to you, how it will effect your life, how you deal with it etc.Eventually, you decide whether you want this to ruin/rule the time you have left in this world, be it ten days or ten years and you give bc the finger by living as best as you can. Counseling and drugs work wonders too. Take care

Dawnann - welcome to the club no one wants to belong to. The tears will stop; it just takes time and adjustment, as Caryn said.

Welcome Dawnann. The tears have to come for a while, but you will feel better. If you don't mind my asking, what treatment are you on?
