Your photos are lovely cowgirl and SoCalLisa!
Thanks for the info, JO-5. I never heard of raw unpasturized vinegar (Braggs), but my daughter probably has cause she's really into health foods.
Bandwoman, your mother looks beautiful. Hope you are feeling much better and catching up on sleep...and that you can get to see her sooner than later.
I'm including a few photos of a lovely South Florida flower called the scrub dayflower. The last pic is what it looks like when it closes in the late afternoon. To me it looks melted.

Steriods keep me wide awake. Not tired at all. I was up for over 24 hours straight & was still going strong. I called my doc & Benadryl was suggested. It worked. I woke up in the middle of the night and took another. I had an injection into a nerve & as time passed, I needed less Benadryl.

Thank you Lisa. The overlook on the MD side gets you closer so you can really hear the power of the water. The rapids are class V+. I find such peace when I go there.i have admired your photography ever since I joined BCO.

Kath, I lived in Alexandria in 1945 after WW11 for a couple of years and again 1966'68 when I was a Navy Officer in Arlington. Went out on the Potomac further down river.

I took these photos several years ago in the early morning during what's known as the Golden Hour. The Golden Hour is the period just after sunrise or just before sunset. You can see how quickly the color of the sky and the cloud formation changes in just two minutes.

april1964, A Schnoodle is a hybrid breed – a cross between a Schnauzer and a Poodle. Here are a few photos of puppy Schnoodles. The lower right is mine, when he was a puppy. The upper right photo was taken when he was about two years old.

Hi ladies,
I am enjoying all the beautiful photos. I have been so sick but hopefully am over the worst of it. I saw my primary doctor today to follow up from my visit to urgent care. My biggest issue now has been caused by the Predisone and I have a whopping case of acid reflux. He thinks my lung issues was a one time event. I was thinking it could be chronic after all I had read so that was pretty depressing so today was great news. Now if the meds will eventually start working I will be back to normal. I never made it to visit my Mom and I was so disappointed. I was to be there for eight days but I was down for the count that whole time. I will be there for Thanksgiving if not before.
Thank you for your birthday wishes for my Mom. The sunsets, waterfalls, butterflies, flowers and musical instruments and adorable puppy photos have all brought some sunlight in for me.
Here is one of the last butterfly photos I took a few weeks ago. I find the markings on this one fascinating. I still saw a Monarch recently and for this area that is remarkable as the great migration happened quite some time ago.
The Great Yellow Mormon butterfly.

bandwoman, that butterfly photo is gorgeous!!! I hope you feel better soon. SoCalLisa, thank you for the camera info... I’ve never heard of a bridge camera... I’m going to look it up. ViewFinder, those schnoodles are sooo adorable!!

Thanks April. I know I am doing better today with the added meds so that is a great sign. A bridge camera is considered a transition camera from a simple point and shoot to a DSLR camera where you have interchangeable lens. It has a little more features on it than the simple point and shoot. I think bridge cameras are usually smaller and weigh less a DSLR but I bought a very large and heavy one this past year which has an extremely long zoom for moon and bird shots. My DSLR is my main camera but I really enjoy this new bridge camera. Learning how to use your camera is really the key to getting good shots. The person behind the camera is usually the one creating the magic and not the camera itself. There are many good cameras out there.
