{{{JG22}}} hugs to you. Do you think it may be the fact you are nearing the end of treatment? I know we all look forward to seeing the finish line approaching, but the reality of it is scary as hell.

Oh ladies, I do thank you for this thread. I don't post much because I kind of feel like a "kid sister" here and a bratty one at that, but I appreciate you all and your warmth and wisdom so very much. I should keep notes so I can respond better to everyone, but for now ((((group hug)))))
Octo-could that darkness be hair???? When mine started to grow in at first I thought it was dirt on my scalp and was blaming my cat for sleeping on my head and getting me dirty! And here 6 months later, 4 haircuts, 2 dye jobs and a platinum bleach job later, I look like einstein!

RobinLK, yes, I think that probably has something to do with it... I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and yet there is still have a long way to go. I hate the impact this is having on my family... all of it... Just realized our DX is a bit similar...
Trying to Warrior on! Thanks for the hugs!

Hi everyone, I hope those who are hurting from some trouble here are feeling better. I hate drama. I was reading this thread for a while but never posted until I posted in the movie thread. I am definitely a real person who is, in fact, meeting another BCO sister this week!!! Duckyb, that baby is adorable. Octogirl, my RO said rads were the cause of my exhaustion. I am just starting to get my energy back and I didn't have chemo. I apologize for not keeping up with what all the posts said. This thread moves quick!

Robin- those pill boxes are AMAZING for Octo! How sweet of you to find those for her. Just love them both!
Mommy hugger! So glad to see you. You have come back in the knick of time. We always need your hugs but I think we are all needing both healing and celebration. For Crazytown was built to crazy code. The foundation is good and the walls are strong and we are still here with a new theme song!
Jerseygirl- you aren't crazy and aren't alone! And we have an official hugger as you can see above. But I'm certain all the rest of our rabble rousers will gather round you today and send you the sweetest anti anxiety hugs on the planet. Your warrior is there. Perhaps on pause as you prepare for rads. Let her rest for a few days and we will take care of you here. Pull up a chair next to QMC on the porch of the mayor's mansion. There is sunny or shade, always a comfy chair and you can get fizzy drinks and things. Breathe deep. You are safe

Molly............thanks from Bobby......he is my love....although I do have 5 other great-grandchildren (all girls).....he is our Prince Charming..........others are adorable too ....a set of twins, and 2 singles.
18 Grandchildren....and 6 of my own crew.......
Yes, I am almost 5 years in Feb....and I can still remember the techs saying at my last Rads which was #38.......your gonna feel like crap in about 2 weeks, and it is going to last for a while........and they were right........only problem I had.......everything else went perfect........but I do belive it takes a lot out of you even 5 years later.........but then again I'm 80.......so WTH can I expect.......LOL.
Everything on CT is better......this is a happy place, and we want to keep it that way.........you won't find nicer women anywhere, and I was very upset, but I am good now...........hugs to all.0 -
Molly- so glad you are sticking around. I hope you feel kindred spirits here.
It was very sad and upsetting what happened but we are all moving forward now I can see. I am very grateful for all of you.
And what good fun to meet a bco sister in the flesh! Yay! Hope you have a great time and we will keep your seat by the fire or on the porch ready, whichever you prefer.

So nice to see things resuming after a little housecleaning. We may be crazy, but we care about each other.
Thinking of you Slow. I hope you can brush off the sand and get some attention. I've ordered another LazyBoy recliner for you in the observation tower. I've already installed a direct line to Sula's kitchen.
And Tomboy, I hope you are able to dust off the dirt you've had to deal with. Would love to see more of your art.
Ducky, Love that little guy. Please keep those pictures coming. Congratulations on your 5 years. Happy Dance party invitations going out soon?
Octo, if retirement is right for you, go for it! Will you be able to keep health insurance? And daily social contacts? Retirement has been a mixed bag for me. I so miss the challenges of teaching.
Kate, I feel your bravery, strength, and compassion. I've walked on the southern Oregon a few times. I always wanted to fly a kite there.
This is my 5 year anniversary of dx. Somehow I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Wonder if that will ever go away.
Today's therapy is making a valentine quilt for my daughter's entry hall. My personal challenge is to use only the fabric I already have. It would be so much easier to run off to a quilt shop and buy all new stuff.
To those hurting today, comforting warm wishes for relief and hope for a better day tomorrow. Jan

Jackbirdie, Thank you! I've pulled up a comfy chair on the porch, I brought my point blanket along for the shade, and I'll take a tall fizzy drink when they come around. Part of my problem is not resting enough. CRAZY TOWN is the perfect place for me right now .... I adore all of you crazy, awesome women already!
My bff is having a bad time dealing with my BC. She told me today she wanted to go to Starbucks and order a double mocha valium latte with double ativan sprinkles, and double whipped cream... I thought, hmmmm would't that be cool!? Maybe that should be on the menu at the Crazy Town Cafe....

Whose in charge of supplies dammit!
Get those Ativan sprinkles to the reading room and cafe ON THE DOUBLE!!!!!
Baaahaha ha. Best laugh in days!!!
Thanks for that Jersey! But I'm sorry for your friend. It is a struggle for those who love us.
JAN- thank you and Happy csncerversary. That's a big one. I'm sure everyone in your real life would never dream that 5 years later it still occupies your thoughts in such a big way. Such is the way of Crazytown.
BTW- I'm a quilter too. Have been having an awful time motivating myself to finish on a quilt I made from bits on hand. I think I've posted an in progress before. It kind of looks like a plot plan of CT!
Anyway I have a few pieces of Valentine fabric. Just fat quarters or smaller. I'd love to send them to you to contribute to your lovely project. You could open a PO box if you're worried about my identity. Haha. Hmmm maybe not enough time has passed to laugh about that yet.
I'll post pics

Duckyb and Jan69 congratulations on 5 years! I'm 7 months post diagnosis. I am definitely in the paranoid about recurrence or new cancer part of my recovery. Ducky, I have 1 grandchild, a boy. He's the light of my life and what gets me through the day.

Robin, yes!!!!! I LOVE the pillboxes!!!! thank you for finding them, they are awesome! So me. and thanks to ducky and others for the gentle, loving push in the right direction: so I took my first pill. As Ducky says, I have to try it before deciding it is a problem for me.

Here is my almost finished quilt top. I used Scraps on hand and there is asort of progression of color across. Except I made some boo boos.
As you can see I don't do much technical. But I love the fabrics and the muslin dividers. The back will be plain muslin.

JAN- here are the Valentine scraps I'd set aside but I don't think I'll ever make one. I would love for them to go to a loving family:next of Crazytown kin: just pm me and I'll mail them out!
At least a fat quarter of this above
And some complimentary strips and such.

Slow..Thinking and praying for you to feel well again very soon.. I hate to think of you going through do many health issues :-(
Mommy.. Yay.!! So good to have you back with us.. You're missed when your not here.
Ducky. What can I say.. Your little man is so darn cute :-) What a bugger only getting 16 bucks instead of the Billion!! 😞 Love the new motto.
Jan.. Congrats on your 5 year anniversary.! Noe that must feel good. The other shoe is NEVR going to drop..We won't let it.!!
Molly. I would love to meet some BCO girls too..It must be such fun.!! I will have to save my pennies for the flight.
Octo. I retired last year..Hubby retired too. at 56.. We realised life's too short.. and money just isn't that important.. I only worked in aged care, but loved it.. Hubby's an electrical engineer.. He used to have to travel a lot with work.. But enjoyed his job too. We are so much happier retired.. So much more time to spend with the grand - babies.. Just time to smell the roses..
Katy and Jan.. Would love to see photos of your quilting!
Molly.. I love the grand -babies too.. I have 8 and the oldest is 5 !! So hectic when we all get together.. Which is quite a lot.!!
Jersey.. Sorry for the impact all of this is having on your family.. It does get less as time goes by.
I can't look back a page when posting on my phone, and my memory is crap., but want to say Hi to anyone I have missed xx

Katy, Love that quilt! It looks to be a very big one and will warm you and your home. Will you quilt it yourself or send it out? I made something similar years ago when my daughter lived in Hawaii. The fabric squares came from a local shirt factory and sold nicely cut up, ready to sew. (I wonder where that quilt is now......)
Thanks for the offer of the valentine fabric. I'm hell-bent to get this one done this week, but I would always enjoy adding to my stash. Maybe I could make one for Slow for her recliner in the observation tower. I've been making potholders out of scraps lately. It's a fun way to spread a little color around my world. PM to follow. Jan
