    Random sampling of responses...

JerseyGirl; sounds like the sort of thing that'd end up on the CrazyTown menu.

    Katy: admires your quilts!

Proudtospin: glad you stayed on after things calmed down a bit. Was the sofa the only thing damaged? Come back and post about your spine results?

duckyb1, here in southern Nj between the rain, Sun, rain and now the wind howling like crazy, it's been a dreary, weird wacky weather day!

I'm gonna hunker down with the dog, blankets and a good book....

KatyThe quilt is gorgeous! It appeals to the OCD part of me! Love the clean lines.

Jerseygirl we do have similar DX. Not too many of us Triple positive ILC girls. Love the drink, sounds like the perfect beverage!

Octo my pleasure! I love searching for things and have a virtual hoarding problem. My Pinterest is a perfect example.

JAN- I usually do it free motion on my own machine but I don't think I have the strength to do it. I have a friend who has offered to coach me on her personal long arm. It's an old one. Not computerized but she does beautiful work. That might me a good compromise.

I understand about wanting to whip one out quick. But I LOVE the idea of contributing to a throw for Bepoy! She's earned it! I got your pm and will have this off in the mail tomorrow. Since its Beppy, I'm going to throw in a big piece that might work for backing. It's bright! Beppy may need sunglasses but it will surely be cheerful!

Let me know if you need help with batting. I usually wait for a coupon from Joanne's. I have an extra but the shipping might not be worth it. Let me know.

Rosesrx, I hope the troll gets his training class so he gets out of your house.

Mommyof2, good to see you again! Hugs to you, too.

Ducky, I love the pic of Bobby, and he and that stuffed owl are so doggone adorable! Congrats on your modest lottery win. I think my sister won $7 once, so you are the biggest winner I know so far. Selling the shore home must really be the end of an era for you. Maybe you can take some of the savings from not maintaining it anymore, and take a trip over the summer some place?

Octo, I've known a couple of ladies who have had arthritis in the thumb in their 50s, and they thought it was either all the writing they've done (teachers blame it on years of grading papers!) or years of gardening. The position they put you in during rads doesn't seem like it should be a big deal, but it sure makes my hands go numb. Maybe now that rads is over, your thumb will improve.

I talked to three women at my support group last week who are on Arimidex, and they all are doing well on it, with just some stiffness when they have been sitting for a while, which they can "walk off" pretty quickly. My two cousins have had the same experience with Arimidex - you may find that your experience is just as easy.

((JerseyGirl)) We all have those times when we've just had all we can take. Sometimes they come at times when you wouldn't expect. In fact, maybe it's this lull in treatment where part of you feels safe to have an anxiety attack. Otherwise, you have been too busy fighting. I like your BFF's idea for Ativan sprinkles! I'm not a coffee drinker, I wonder if I can get a hot cocoa with a mini Xanax marshmallow.

    JAN, congrats on five years!

Katy, I love the colors in your quilt. Go Jack, Speedy Dog!

Iris, let us know what the spine doc says tomorrow.

Slow, take good care of yourself. We will hold down the fort while you are gone.

Waving to Rainny, Queenie, Robin, Molly, Lucy (beautiful beach pic!), and the quiet crazies.

Does anyone know the words to that song, "The Bitch is Crazy"?

Seems like we might need additional songs,?

Thanks so much for the encouraging words about the Arimidex, Cubbie...really, it is mostly my hair that worries me but I will try not to worry. As for stiffness when I've been sitting: that is already a fact of life for me I'm afraid (arthritis in both knees). Hopefully it won't get worse, but if it does, I may replace one or both of them. I can shake it off and it doesn't keep me from walking, scuba diving, biking or swimming (my favorite sports, besides watching baseball), though it can make it tough to put on my fins for diving....

And actually, my thumb is feeling a lot better, thanks! But whatever it was, it sure as heck wasn't gardening. Haven't I mentioned how much I LOVE gardens and HATE gardening?! Hubby is the gardener in our family. I do like to harvest though. :-) Hubby usually only does spring and summer gardens, s this time of year my harvesting is pretty much limiting to picking herbs (we always have sage and rosemary) and the fruit on our lemon and blood orange trees. The lemon tree is going crazy, huge crop. Biggest in years. Apparently it isn't just us: a neighbor stopped us as we were out walking today to ask if we could use some lemons. Um, no. I plan to take some to work tomorrow where I hope they disappear from the break room. (after all, they are horribly expensive at the store!). Blood orange has only produced about five or six so far, but we are happy: it is our first year of harvest: we planted the tree a few years after we bought this house eight years ago.

    That Jack is really fast!

    Sending hugs to all!

Thank you for all that you guys did, on my behalf. I am going to lay low for a while, because now I just don't know who to trust, and I want to not worry or hurt Beppy, any more on my part, and really, this is not good for her.

Love to you, you know who you are!

If only there were some way to send real lemons through the tubes! I've been drinking club soda with lemon juice instead of cola recently, trying to cut back on sugar and artificial sweeteners. Lemons are like a dollar a piece here.

Tomboy, good to see you are still here. *waves*

mmm...lemon pound cake...lemon bars....lemon coffee cake! Wish I was more of a baker!

Cubbie, wish you were nearby! You too Katy! all of you. I'd ship them, seriously, but I hear there are rules against that. (ag issues). wonder if they'd catch me.

((((Tomboy)))). You I can bring lemons to, next time I am in LA.

(indescribable noise of anguished wistfulness) For all that, I'll drive from Michigan to Oregon, pick you up Katy and drive down to Octogirl.

Come back when you feel comfortable, Tomboy. The list as a whole may be bruised, but you most of all. Justifiably. Alas.

I think I have only one post left that I am allowed to do today, partial house arrest. I must've been a BBBBad gRRRRRll!!! And the same is true with pm's, which is mostly where I will be. All the love that has been shown here, from the very beginning, has been a thing of magnificence to me. And, it kind of grew very organically! Almost every woman here found it on her own, except for some we invited, because we thought they may welcome the very real and caring community that we have become. I am glad of all of you, and I will send more pm's, as I am allowed, 3 posts, and 3 private messages. I guess I could write a really looooooooong, message, but then i think I would get tired of me. hehe

Mods, if you are reading this by any chance, I used one pm to thank you (amongst other things), for letting the jail door open , a little. So I hope you don't mind if I tell you here, that I got a lot of emails from you, saying that I am limited because I abused the 'report this post' button. This is really weird, because I only reported one post, and it wasn't even properly a post, it was a new topic, one in which the man asked you to text him if you wanted to buy pain meds. Doesn't that sound as if it should be reported? I have reported many of them, when ever I see them, they are too weird.

Jakitty? I have many lemons, and I am going to send you a huge box! I think it's okay to send OUT of Cali, just not in. will check on that. They are meyers, but I also have accessto others too. except that I am hardly getting anything done, so ..

If you want my phone number, I will give it to you, tomorrow in a pm. Ducky if a woman named Lori calls you or pms, you, it's okay, she is my friend. i asked her to last night when I was in a panic. Okay, this is a short story, Copywrite ME, so I better stop. Hope all are well, and safe, and warm, in NO pain, and at least slightly bemused/amused. Love you. okay I am writing this sunday night, 8:31, lets see if it posts!

Robin, I have a friend who is triple positive ILC stage lll. She's having a hard time with chemo. It is good to find others with her diagnosis who seems to be doing well. You seem to be pretty rare. Tomboy, I know we don't know each other but I am sorry for what you are going through.

Mommy50: good luck with the eye exam. Is this a 'just because' appointment?

Mommy and Blondedoris!....will be in your pocket!

I also have an upcoming eye apt: to make a long story sort of short, about three months before my bc dx I was diagnosed with a retinal injury causing permanent (and untreatable, unfortunately) partial blindness in one eye. Eye doc wanted me to come back six months later for a status check but I kept postponing the apt because I was in active treatment, and eye doc is at a teaching hospital several hours drive from here (no one in my rural area could figure out the problem: they knew there was one but it took some rather sophisticated tests to finally get the dx, hence I ended up having to go to a world class specialist...). So, finally, I am going later in January for my 'six month' followup. I was supposed to go last week but had to postpone yet one more time because it was my last day of rads and I would have had to be two places at once. But, when I called to postpone, they told me eye doc didn't have any bookings until April! I explained the situation, scheduler said she would talk to doc, sure enough she called back five minutes later to say he didn't want to wait that long and gave me the apt in two weeks. I am nervous: I keep thinking of bad scenarios: what if they were wrong all along and it is really eye mets? (I realize after all the tests I had that this is probably just crazy thinking. But this is Crazy Town..)

and of course, I have cataracts, probably made worse by the steroids, so at the least they will be looking at whether it is time to remove those....since the worse cataract is in the 'good' eye they told me at time of the retinal dx that they don't want to operate on it until absolutely necessary: if I am one of the very small percentages with serious complications that leaves me with just the 'bad' eye. Sigh. one more thing to worry about. but I have put off that apt. long enough. If I get a lecture about postponing so long I will play the C card.

Nothing like bc to make one crazy, is there?
