Ayden is an absolute doll!!! I'm so happy to celebrate with him today.
Thank you everyone for your well wishes today. It was such a vastly different day than last year, just between rounds 1 and 2 of six TC chemos. No hair, no tastebuds. So I am especially grateful today, having all of that behind me, but all of our wonderful new friendships in front of me.
Here is a pictorial tour of my walk on the cliffs, lunch in my favorite restaurant, a visit to an artisanal chocolatier for some fancy drinking chocolate (and taking in their adorable chocolate duckies! Ducky I wanted to send you this one, but it wouldn't ship- and a bunny head first in a cupcake). Jack had a ball running free. And when I got home there were flowers and gifts on my doorstep! Honestly, hard to beat a day like today, and all of your love and comments really lifted me up. THANK YOU!!!

Jack enjoying the view too!

So I find myself here with my other crazy sisters once again. I have a feeling I'll visit more times than I want to. I posted in the March 2015 chemo forum but this seems like a more appropriate place to post this.
I saw my PCP yesterday and she heard something in my left lung and I've had a cough for over a month so I'm off for a chest CT on 4/6.
The worst part I think is that my DH says I'm diagnosing myself and it couldn't possibly be anything because 'chemo should have gotten it all'. Sigh...he just doesn't get it. It's ok though, we don't need to both be worrying.
So, for now, I will hang out in Crazy Town with all you lovelies and wait not-so-patiently for 4/6 to come.
Also, my alk phos and another liver enzyme are slightly elevated and with back pain that has me worried too. I'm less worried about that than I am the lung, but it's in the back of my mind.
I hate cancer.

Katy, so glad your birthday was wonderful!! I SOO want a chocolate ducky!
rleepac, pull up a chair in the corner of the CrazyTown porch! You are very welcome here. Cancer sucks!

Katy, what wonderful pictures! How happy you and Brenda look. How happy Jack looks!
Rleepac, I'm sorry you have to be there, but pull up a chair and settle down with your drink or food of choice. We will wait with you!
Sandy, are you leaving today? Have a good trip!
Good morning to all crazies! Yesterday I was discharged from LE treatment, with instructions to wear the sleeve and glove--well, they'd be happy if it was 24/7 forever, but that's not going to happen. But the good news is that my affected hand and arm are way smaller than they were, so I think due diligence is the answer. Meanwhile, my LE therapist is immensely pregnant; it felt good to hand off a small gift and wish her well. She was a lovely presence when I was seeing her in the midst of radiation.
And laid out a plan to visit four (count them) colleges over spring break next month.
And turned in a project for work.
So what's left? Laundry!

Rleepac: I think looping back through CrazyTown multiple times with each subsequent bout of whatever-it-is is the norm!

((((rleepac))) I will add you to my prayers. I am on 3 weeks off coughing and trying NOT to let my mind "go there". Hopefully you will get good news but I will be in your pocket for your scan.
Duckyb, you have an abundance of good looking relatives. What a lovely picture.

Taking a break here in London from the craziness. After a nap, I'm in my hotel's rooftop lounge for a nice halibut lunch. Here are a couple of shots of the view:

Here's my crazy remedy for the day...

How can you not smile at those chicks. Or chooks, as our Lucy would say!
0 -
I'll take that as an anti-crazy remedy, certainly. Can we have chooks/chickens, and ducks, at the CrazyTown Inn?
0 -
why yes! The eggs can be served at breakfast Eggs Crazybreck.
I would like to see us composting as well in ourgarden, and chook dook is do good for that!

One of my fantasies is to have a flock of chooks. We have enough room, my dh just doesn't share my dream. One of my dds built her own hutch and coop when she lived and worked in Burbank. The dook did an extraordinary job of growing her summer vegetables.
I'm ever so sad tonight. I'm not going to be able to go to the SoCal gathering of the crazies tomorrow. I spent yesterday getting checked out for possible heart issues, starting out with a trip down our mountain in an ambulance! Every single test they ran came out normal, so we're guessing all of the excitement had to do with the infections over the last 5 weeks. I still feel like crap, just ask dh. Heading for the CT porch to see who has a shoulder to cry on. Poor me. Pitiful me.
Hope you all have family and friends to spend time with this weekend. Hugs, Jan

(((Jan))) come sit on the porch with me. I have a lovely cup of tea for you and some lovely scones. I also have a free shoulder. I am sorry you are feeling so bad and we won't see you tomorrow.

Jan, you know this from our email exchange, but I am very sad that you won't be able to join us tomorrow. we will all miss you! The ambulance ride must have been scary! Sending love and hoping you feel better very soon.

Ahh, Tea and sympathy. Perfect. Feeling better already. Thanks for the hugs Molly. Please share some from me tomorrow. Octo, I just can't believe with all your efforts that I can't come. You know I'll be thinking about you all at 9:45. I was going to order the fruit plate.

Evening Crazies,
Iris, That must be such a tough decision on whether to do the shots or not. My mom used to say if you can't make a decision freely, take more time to think about it. Hmmmmm....may be why I have such a difficult time making decisions. hahaha
Molly, Happy Birthday to Ayden!! What a sweet faced young boy!! Adorable!!
Katy, Thanks for sharing your birthday pictures with us. I love seeing you so happy. I'm glad you were able to spend time with your friend, Brenda. Jack is a sweetheart and I love the tilted head pic. Chook dook!!! I've got to remember that one. My dad used to call a tissue a snook dook. I'm sure that's not how you spell it, but that's how it sounded. Crazy PA dutch thing.
rleepac, I'm glad you joined us for the dreaded wait. I'm going to send my best good vibes for nothing serious in your future. In the meantime, pull up a chair and we will take care of you. We will send hugs, love and tasty snacks through the tube. You are not alone. Love the chook pics!!
Twinnie, I'm preparing your room!! haha
Rainy, Great news on the LE improvement. Any west coast college trips in your future??? <crossing fingers>
Ducky, Beautiful family picture. I hope you enjoy your time at the new shore home this weekend.
Sandy, Thanks for posting the vacation pics. I will live vicariously through your trips!!
QM, We can have anything your heart desires at the Crazy Town Inn.
JAN, Big hugs to you!!! Of course we will miss you like crazy, but your health is far more important. This will give us a good reason to haveANOTHER get together soon!!! In the meantime, we will all nurse you back to health.
Sending love and hugs to all in the tree house or any other healing hideout in Crazy Town.
It's FRIDAY!!! Wooooohoooooo!!
Edited to add: Octo, THANK YOU so much for all the planning you did for our get together. You're awesome!!

JAN, Sorry you won't be able to attend the SoCal brunch. As Slow says, your health is much more important.
Looking forward to tomorrow's get together.
