Have a not so lovely bruise forming under the nail of my ring finger on my left hand. It got caught between a door and the door jamb while I was doing housework today. Scared the daylights out of my hubby when I screamed from getting it caught.

Ouch M0mmy! I bet you did scare your DH. I hope it heals quickly.I have a bruise under my right thumb nail and I have no idea how I did it. My brain seems to have been left out in the rain to long!

Bruised area hurts a bit this morning yet

Coming back to report my scan results show just the original tumor and one lymph node in my armpit lit up. The mets on bone and lung were pretty quiet. Oncologist declared me "not worse" so I get to stay on just the Tamoxifen, Zoladex and Zometa.
Still stable! Yay!
Thanks, all, for the support.

Nine, woo hoo! M0mmy, sorry about the sore thumb. I am impressed with your lawn mowing adventure. Wyatt's getting better. No more fever. Must be responding to the abx. We have a family reunion picnic today and we're going to take him. I'm hoping it will be good for him to be out in the fresh air.

I absolutely hate when my finger gets caught. All sorts of bad words come out of my mouth. All my bruises from surgery are now starting to appear. I am very colorful this morning.

Littleblue, Good to see you! YES! You are now the keeper of the Crazy Town Bonfire. Here is my first offering - fuel for the fire.
I thought I had gotten rid of this BC literature. Imagine my surprise when I found more - UGH! It seems to multiply when I'm not looking. BURN BABY....BURN!!!
Lori, You don't have to BE in Crazy Town to hang out with us. We have some very safe places to hide from the crazy. The tree house is quite lovely as well as the porch. We hide there until the crazy passes.
M0mmy, OUCH!! I've done that before and it hurts so much. Sending healing mojo your way.
Nine,YAY for stable!! I'm doing my special happy dance in your honor!! Thanks for letting us know.
Molly, I'm so happy Wyatt is doing better today!! I hope you enjoy your day out with your family.
GMA, I often wonder what the heck they do to us that causes so many bruises. I was covered with them after my surgery.
I hope everyone is having a pain-free, fun day.
Love to all..quiet crazies too.

Congratulations to your grandson, ducky. My oldest is finally graduating in June with his bachelor's in electrical engineering. He found out last week he's graduating cum laude. Makes the years he spent in community college figuring out what he wants to do worth it.

Ducky, congrats on grandson's graduation.
As for my bruised nail, the pain is gone unless I bump it on something.

Ducky, I'm right there with you with a twisted state of mind! Congratulations on the graduation of your grandson. I'm not surprised they are all so successful. You did a great job!!
Molly, Congratulations on the graduation of your son!! What a great accomplishment to graduate cum laude. You must be so proud!!
Iris, Will hiring more help make it easier to stay where you are now? When I have a problem making a decision, I usually make a pro and con list. For some reason seeing it in writing helps me.
Lori, I wish I had the moves of that animated dancer. I would surely throw out my hip if I attempted that happy dance. haha

iris, maybe being such a permanent change is holding you back? I love the idea of a pro/con list

Molly congrats to your son............and so happy for him..........
Thanks to all for the kind words.....I am so proud of the job my children have done with their children.....they are wonderful parents...only one.......my son raised his 4 children on his own after his wife walked out......she was a great Mom, who one day decided she was leaving ......it's a sad story of turning 40, being flattered, and walking out thinking life was better away from them......my son did a great job....the older boy already graduated from Penn State, one daughter is going to Penn State, and the other daughter is going into her Jr year in September.....she is the one who 3 months ago we found out she has diabetes......my son has his hands full, but is doing a great job considering what he has been through.
I always like to put the name with the face.........My son Michael, his oldest boy Michael Jr, Vincent our graduate, Alexis, and his youngest Lisa....

Ducky, what a beautiful family you and your son have! You both have done an awesome job. I just can't wrap my head around a mother leaving her children?! I couldn't do it!

Hi, ladies -
Generally how long is it before MRI results are available? I know with my mammos, they now read the results and give them to me before I leave the center. This is my first MRI post-cancer. Will I find out that day?
My MRI is next Friday (June 4th) and I am already starting to freak out about the waiting!

hi ready, length of time for mri will vary, based on the facility, not the same as a mamo but I would call and ask the doc
So the sky is lovely but I have paperwork to do so hanging in for the afternoon

Hi lovelies. I've been lurking but too busy to post.
DD graduated from 8th grade this weekend. Not normally a huge celebration but this means that she is starting classes at the Community College in the Fall! She is homeschooled and can get dual credit for High a school and her Associates degree at the same time with waived tuition. So my baby is off to college already! Scary but she's so excited!
I'll do another post about my health because if I type too much my phone gets REALLY slow..

I still have bad joint pain and I saw my MO a little over a week ago. He says it's probably menopause related but since my liver enzymes and alk phos were high he ordered a PET/CT.
In the meantime I saw my PCP for liver and she ordered a whole bunch more lab tests. I get the results and everything points to me being an alcoholic. This is so funny because I MIGHT have one drink a month! So I'm waiting to hear what testing she has planned next.
Then MO calls and says PET/CT showed no hot spots or signs of mets - only some inflammation in the colon which explains the diarrhea (colonoscopy showed nothing in January) and is possibly related to joint pain. So he is moving forward with rheumatology referral. Ummm...ok.
Now I'm going down 2 rabbit holes at the same time, chasing 2 different problems (I think). I'm guessing my PCP will just want to re-test liver labs in 2-3 mo the before jumping to a biopsy but I haven't heard from her yet. I don't really care as much about the liver right now (not that it's not important but I doesn't hurt or decrease my QOL like the joint pain does) so I'm all for a 'watch and wait' approach. But geez...why do my joints hurt so bad?!?
That's my scenic cruise through CT for now

Oh and I just about punched my PCP's medical assistant in the face! She's doing my intake and asks when my last mammogram was. I said 'oh I don't need one because I've had a bilateral mastectomy'. She gets real snarky with me and says 'I didn't ask if you needed one...I asked when your last one was'. I let that roll off because that is what she asked. So I told her it was Dec 17, 2014.
She then says 'ok, you're due for a mammogram so I'll make sure the dr sees that'. WTH?!? I lit into her and repeated that I don't need one and she just gave me that look like I don't know what I'm talking about. I said 'look...2 oncologists, 1 breast surgeon, 1 plastic surgeon, and YOUR boss have all confirmed that I don't need one because I no longer have any breast tissue. Do you see my history?!? So if you mention it again I'm going to file a complaint and possibly sue you for causing unnecessary anxiety and triggering PTSD! Got it?'
She left the room without another word and the PCP came in profusely apologizing for her comments.
I don't normally say stuff like that but she truly pissed me off!

Hi Crazies!!
Ducky, You son's family is beautiful. What a challenge that must have been raising four kids on his own. Especially two girls!! It's very sad that the mom left. Vincent is a cutie. I bet your family gatherings are a hoot!! The picture of Bobby pushing Greyson is adorable. That boy is built like a tank. Are you still able to lift him?
Shorfi, You ok? I noticed you posted and deleted. Thinking of you!!
Poppy, Good to see you! I'm heading that way on the third. Maybe we can have lunch? I will text you as it gets closer.
Readytorock, Good to see you. I think every facility is different. Mine typically takes 48 hours except when they are really busy. Sometimes it can take up to a week. They don't make me come in for my results though. They will either call or email. The first MRI after treatment is always so nerve wracking. Make room in your pocket on the 4th. We will all be there!!
Iris, I detest paperwork. I'm sorry your stuck doing that today. Sending no calorie cupcakes your way!!
Rleepac, Your family is lovely!! Congratulations on the graduation of your daughter. She sounds like a smart girl!! You're both beautiful. I hope they get the joint pain figured out soon. I'm doing a happy dance in your honor. YAY for a clean petscan!!
You go girl!!! Sometimes we just have to speak up for ourselves. Good for you. That would have totally ticked me off too.
I've been busy exercising and trying to get this treatment weight off. Let me tell you, it's a SLOW process. DH has four days off coming up this weekend. I'm so excited!!
Thinking about all the quiet crazies and I hope you're all off doing something fun and you're enjoying the spring weather.
Love to all....quiet crazies too!!
