Morning group, not as cold as hear in parts of mid west and no snow for now but not planning on heading out! Ok so saw the nurse practitioner yesterday, told her of my nightmare and said i wondered if i had taken my chemo pills twice. She said o you couldn't have done that.......get a pill box just for the chemo pills. See i take 4 at bfast and 4 after dinner. So had bfast, can not remember if i took my pills. So guess i need to see if i can reach nurse? Pills do not work if you do not take them!

Proud: The pill box sounds a grand idea....for me, never mind for you! Get the thing, to save yourself the worry if nothing else.

hey everyone
I'm waiting on the breast surgeon to order a guided MRI biopsy of my right breast which revealed a mass that wasn't present on previous mammograms. It's funny isn't it. My breast were determined to give me hell until they got replaced. Yep I'm in crazy town! Since being diagnosed everything on my body aches and I think I have arthritis!

Iris ..yes ..the second pill box is what you need !!! I would never know if I'd taken my tamaxifon or not without mine !!! Just after I started on tamaxifon hubby was diagnosed with rhumatoid arthritis , so he decided he should "share " my pill box ..About a week later he was horrified to discover he'd taken MY pill instead of HIS !! :-)
(( Savedbygrace ))...sorry ...it's awful waiting for scans , tests and results !!! In the meantime pull up a chair here at CrazyTown and sit with us .We all understand what you're going through.

Merry Christmas crazies!! Sorry for going MIA. Tessie, how are you doing? My mom passed away recently from Alzheimers. I know it's hard to watch our loved ones like that. Wyatt's been really sick but finally rounding the corner after hospice started him on antibiotics. Savedbygrace, in your pocket for your biopsy. This whole mess is crazy making. Pull up a rocking chair and have a cup of hot chocolate with Ativan sprinkles.

Oh and dexascan tomorrow.

Good luck on the DexaScan, Molly--hope whatever you're doing for bone health is working!
Every night, I put my pills & supplements (except the vite & fiber gummies, which I chew while sorting meds) into a couple of shot glasses--the bigger one for morning because there's more to take. When packing for travel, I used to use a big 7-day AM/PM pill box (for longer trips, two of 'em)--but after having some compartments pop open once too often and having to tape it closed I bought a folding nylon-and-Velcro pill folio instead. 7 little zip-slider pouches each for AM & PM, which slip into their respective slots with room for two pouches. For longer trips I bought some extra pouches (and just in case, another folio).

Thank you, ducky. He is indeed a real fighter.

Hugs to Wyatt from me also, and to all of the crazies waiting for scans and results...
Had a good final appointment with ortho surgeon yesterday, after total knee replacement. I am cleared for normal activity until I get the other one replaced (in mid-February) and right now that is the one that hurts...replaced knee doing great!
If I go MIA for a few weeks there is a nice reason for it: I am getting on a plane tonight for a brief stop at LAX to meet up with my sister, and then off tomorrow am early for Japan, where I will spend two weeks playing tourist with my sister, whose son and DIL live in Tokyo. Tokyo and Kyoto are on the agenda, the DIL's parents (they are Japanese and Tokyo natives) are doing some of the hosting, so we will have a real 'friends and family' tour. Mostly, I want to eat! (I love Japanese food, and I hear the pastries in Tokyo are amazing :-)) I have TSA pre-check, which I guess they will take away once they find out I am part titanium! Have cane if I get tired, will travel! Will try and post some pics: back mid-January.
We closed on our new condo in Reno, so after I get back fixing it up will be on the agenda.....
Take care, all.

octogirl, enjoy your visit! Too cold here in nj, i bundle up every morning and not eager to go out more than i have to. Gee so i skipped one, i think of this routine on the chemo plan. Doc has me on the highest dose since other meds have failed for me so duplicating not wise, scares pants off of me

Octo: enjoy the trip, and post what pictures you've got when you return. We'll just have to enjoy vicariously.

It's coming up on January and we don't have any health insurance for next year.... I need to stay healthy!
My missions trip is in August and started vaccines this month last month: Tetanus and Hep A and B.
Hep B booster next week - Then in another month or so it will be time for my yellow fever and typhoid vaccines.

Hugs for Wyatt, Molly--glad he's getting better again.
Octo, I've always wanted to visit Japan (and not just a layover in Narita). Our niece is an art major at Cleveland Inst, of Art and a minor in Japanese at Case Western, and we were going to give her a trip to Japan as a graduation present (to give her incentive to graduate). But she's taken a leave of absence again in the middle of senior year (after taking last year off); her original major was in video game design but the prof who recruited her retired and the program no longer exists--and she's still trying to "find her voice" in commercial illustration (her senior portfolio was savaged by the faculty "jury" and she was already depressed to begin with).
Gordy is finally en route to Houston to spend New Year's weekend with Leslie & her parents. Because of snow & frigid temps, the plane had be to de-iced several times before it could take off--3-1/2 hrs. late. Snow is tapering off here on the n. lakefront. Tomorrow will be sunny...but brutally cold, in the mid-single digits at best. Lows will be subzero for the foreseeable future. Houston isn't exactly tropical this time of year (60s & rainy through Monday and dropping to 36 Tuesday), but at least he's missing Chiberia for a few days. And thank goodness he didn't fall in love with a girl from Erie, PA--which is enduring Snowmageddon.

GMA..yes..stay healthy !!! Where are you going to for the mission trip ?
Mommy ..how is everything going ? Are you still doing the injections ?
Sandy..I hope Gordy arrived safe 'n sound ..
Ducky ..how are you coping with the cold weather ? I know you hate it !
Hard to believe it's New Year's Eve again..I know it's only "another day " ...but I'm always anxious at New Year's ...worried /wondering what the new year will hold ??....we are going to a Thai restaurant at the marina with another couple for dinner to celebrate tonight ..

hi all, cold in nj but for now snow is ended, one of my good neighbors cleaned my car. Will wait to see what sunday brings as it is supposed to stay ......brisk! New years eve has never been my favorite but, hey i am here!
Believe it or not, there is hair groiwing on my lumpie head! And my nails seem stronger! But still have not had a good scan so may not stay!

Yup, Gordy made it safe & sound, but I'll give him space before touching base with him. As Bob pointed out, the girl's family is always more careful about warming to the boy, because there are differences involved (it takes a very "evolved"--or "woke" as millennials say--set of girls' parents to be comfortable with their daughter possibly being the primary wage-earner, even in these modern times; and there may be some religious differences as well). Tiptoeing on eggshells...

morning group, cold here again, can you hear my winey voice? Well i have been having some wacky nightmares lately, not usual for me so i get to blame in on the pills......last night i thought i saw a woman with a big nose looking through my storm door, the glass portion. Anyone good at interpretation?
Wondering if i should get my hair trimmed, think it would help it to.grow in thicker?

Lucy;...it is brutal here....I just stay in.can’t go anywhere anyway my car doors are frozen shut.......just another year to me.....my kids were sending me pictures they came across while cleaning out there attic’s,which is arm and toasty all the time so their albums stay safe and in tact........many of my husband which was nice but depressing....He had his pancreatic cancer surgery on January 3rd 1989, sothis time of the year for me is awful......7 hour surgery, and died 2 years later, but at least we had time with him, and he was not sick till the very end...and it was mostly not being able to eat.....only 57....gone way to soon.

ducky - You and hubby - a very handsome couple. Just think of the legacy of all your children, their children, etc. Too cold for DH and I also - just enjoying champers and nibbles at home. Last year, I was just recuperating from lumpectomy on 12/21, so much more cheerful New Year's this year. Happy New Year to you and all the other BC sisters!

Need to check the side effects listed

Iris, no idea what your dream means but I’ve been having some strange ones myself the last week or so. And this morning I woke up singing “Werewolf in London”... howls and all. No clue where that came from. Night before last I dreamed that my friend’s husband was “Bad Ape” from War for Planet if the Apes. I have to say, that one at least made me laugh.
