Good Morning Crazies,
You've all been so busy over the weekend, it's doubtful I will be able to catch up with everything, so I will try for a quick catch up.Yeah right...am I ever quick??? hahaha
So we're using Katy's jam to rub on all of our body parts?? Oh wait....maybe that was coconut oil??? I go away for a few days and come back to plans for a new diner in Crazy Town. Such busy bees!! haha Since food is my favorite dish, I think it's a fabulous idea!!! I LOVE IT!!! Wonderful idea Sula!!!! CT is growing by leaps and bounds.
First I'd like to welcome our newbie.
Maggie57, Welcome to our thread!! I'm really happy you found us!! Please pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable. Here is your Crazy Town starter kit which consists of a flashlight, magnifying glass, mirror and the newly added coconut oil!! Sending best wishes for a B9 scan!! We will all be right by your side. I've also had so many things pop up after treatment, all of them B9. It's difficult not to go straight to Crazy Town when dealing with these scans!!! Gentle hugs to you!!
Ducky, Thanks for sharing the pictures of the Pope. So wonderful that he visited your area. I was also raised Catholic, went to Catholic school, and even sent my children to Catholic school when they were little. I've fallen away from the Catholic church over the years, but it really is great to see a Pope that seems so in tune with the people. He seems like such a kind, caring man. Thanks for sharing Grayson's picture with us!! I really enjoy watching her grow up through pictures.
Octo, Great big hugs to you. One of my best cries was when my hair fell out. Even though I was prepared, it was so shocking when it happened. It makes no sense, but I thought I would be one of the people to defy the odds and not lose my hair. It's traumatizing when it comes out so quickly, and not too many talk about it hurting. It seems like the quicker you lose it, the more pain you experience. There are some people that have lost it gradually. I wasn't one of those. Mine was fast and furious.
Rain, That really sucks about your insurance. I hope you get some answers soon. I hate dealing with insurance issues. Just one more thing that can send us straight to Crazy Town. It's great that ES Tylenol is able to handle your pain. Over the years, I think I've built up a tolerance to pain meds. Unless it's I.V. grade, I really don't get much relief. I'm glad you're friends are taking such good care of you. Food deliveries are great!!
Gaia, CONGRATULATIONS!!! We must have a big ol' cyber bridal party for you on the expansive porch of the Mayors mansion. What a wonderful surprise!! Thanks for posting the vacation pictures!! Such a beautiful backdrop for a proposal. I agree, you most definitely have a keeper!! What fun we will all have planning your wedding!! hahahaha
Queen, CONGRATULATIONS ON FINISHING RADS!!! WooooHooooo!! I'm so excited for you!! Doing the happy dance in your honor. Sorry you're having to deal with crappy insurance issues.
Poppy, You have a very big heart for doing this in your home!! Knowing you, I'm not surprised that you offered to do this. There have been many times in my life when I've bit off more than I can chew, but when it was all said and done, I was almost always glad I did. What a wonderful thing you're doing for the band. My son was also in band, and unless you've been involved in the program, no one realizes the amount of hours and dedication that's involved. You're awesome!!!
M0mmy, Thank you for the daily hugs!! What a wonderful thing to wake up to every morning. You rock!!!
Sula, What can I say. Each time I log on to this thread, I'm in a constant state of drool!!! When we have our bridal party for Gaia, we know who will be providing the cyber food!!
momwriter, Oh boy do did you find the right place!! It's a comforting feeling knowing there are so many crazies going through similar feelings as you, yes??? I know it was for me!! My BS gave me some wise words about scans. She said scans pick up EVERYTHING, and unfortunately once they find something, they must investigate. She also told me that most things turn out to be deterioration, arthritis, or evidence of old or new injuries. Typically most things tend to be B9. She told me that's why they don't do routine scans unless I'm having a persistent symptom. I try to keep those words in the forefront of my crazy mind. I keep repeating that conversation in my head while I wait for my new test results.
Katy, LOVED the bingo game!! It sure sums up many of the truly stupid things that are said to us!! Who knew there were so many uses for coconut oil!! I added it to the Crazy Town kit, as requested!! Did you know you can freeze the coconut oil and use it for lubrication for the VaJayJay??? I read that tip here on BCO. Not so messy that way, and I've heard it really does work!! This is for you Katy. This going hand and hand with your new *uck it mantra!!
pennsygal, I don't know if you've ever tried it, but when I was going through treatment and a long time after, I used Benadryl as a sleep aide. May not work for all people, but it really worked well for me. Now I use a muscle relaxer every night before bed. Helps with the pain too.
Lucy, Hi!!
Tomboy, Thinking of you my friend. ツ!!
Remember Romper Room? Each show I would sit there with excited anticipation, waiting for my name to be called. It NEVER happened. It's something that REALLY bothered me. I felt invisible - like I didn't exist. Ahhhh....the childhood traumas.
For that reason, in Crazy Town, anyone that posts to Crazy Town, will have their name called every month or so. It is my hope while going through this nonsense we all have to endure, that you all feel loved and appreciated on this thread. That you all feel a part of us whether you lurk, post once in awhile, or post often. I never want anyone to feel alone. So, here we go.......

Worst thing was the 2 clowns still wanted to watch the show.........well it was that or Soupy Sales with White Fang........remember that...............
By the time I had #6 Sesame Street was the show of the day, and "come on ladies......who didn't sit there with your kids and watch that show...............46 years later...........Bobby is watching Sesame.....Loves Elmo..............hahahahahahhahahhaha

thanks Slow for adding the CO. And just a gentle warning. Do not take Benadryl if taking Tamoxifen. Don't play well together.

Crazies - taking this out of the oven just now, it occurred to me that I may have cooked the perfect pre-surgery meal!
0 -
hahahahahaha Ducky!! You gave me my belly laugh for the day. I was one of those crying children.
Katy, Thanks for the warning for the Tamox gals. !! I think it's important never to take anything suggested unless cleared by your MO first. I also check with the pharmacist as well.
queen, I'm just not sure what to say to that!! hahaha.....Too funny!!

pennsy, hmm that looks good and I do agree it is good for you now, so easy to do!

pennsygal, looks yummy!!
I swear your post wasn't there when I posted. Also, when I posted earlier, some others posts weren't there either. So weird!! Anyone else experiencing that too? POST LAG!!

Ok, but yeah, pennysgal? they do look like breasts don't they? I have so many photos of things that look like breasts, I was planning on adding them to my blog soon, but yeah, those look like too much radiation!!!
Funny, Ducky!

Tomboy - yes! I felt like I had taken two green roasted boobs out of the oven!!
0 -
QMC, you did ask if we could have someone to lick Katy's excellent jam off of, right?? If I read that wrong, don't click on the link LOL. If I didn't...
0 -
Littleblueflowers: no, you read my initial comment pretty much right. I didn't have anything specific in mind, but yeah, a couple of those vets would fit the bill.

I totally missed the burned boobs!!! Leave it to me to only think about food and taste!! Can we say 50 lb weight gain??? hahahahaha
0 -
SlowDeep: don't worry, it took me a second too, and I was kind of already thinking "This probably has something to do with breast cancer treatment...."

Pennsygal- too funny... But then again....not? Looks deelish and healthy though. I like the way you think. And glad you're keeping your sense of humor.
My bathtub is in! Not the tile, but the contractor said I could take a bath if I didn't splash my rubber ducky around too much. (Sorry, Ducky)..... The extra few inches of width and depth make a huge difference over my 10" puddle I had before. Tile going in tomorrow! So excited. Feeling better now that I'm clean, too. My tub came out last Thursday morning. Despite my attempts at alternative ablutions, things were getting a little ripe around here, as my mom used to say.

Cheers for a bathtub for Jackbirdie!

, congrats on the new bath tub! I had to gut my bathroom due to a nasty leak that meant the ceiling was close to falling in! I confess I survived with the shower at the gym'
bad news as I just got a letter that my dentist of 20 plus years is retiring and selling his practice.
dang but did like him but it seems I need to find a new one
0 -
Katy, I'd love to see pictures!! Not of you taking a bath....but of your new bathtub!! I love looking at home improvements.
Oh no PTS. A good dentist is so difficult to find!! Mine retired a few years ago and I was so sad. I hope you're able to find another one you trust.
I thought I would share this picture with you all. On the surface it looks like a pale, white, flabby, scarred leg, but this is my knee actually doing a rotation on my stationary bike!!! I did this last week and have been making progress daily. My knees were following the path of my wrists and were starting to freeze. This is a huge accomplishment for me!! I wanted to share with you all. Someday I may even be able to ride a real bike again, providing I could find the right seat. So excited!!!
Baby steps....or in this case, baby turns!! haha

slow, glad for you progress, it dang but takes time to rehab knees and junk but betting you can do it

ok Slow, here are some in progress photos:
After old tub was ripped out, before new subfloor put in (they found a rotted floor)
Above is new tub. I checked it out and it was bliss.
Below are some fizzy bombs I bought from Soap Hope. In anticipation of this fine day. They give micro loans to very poor women who make organic soaps and things. Cool company.

Great looking tub!! I wish blissful soaking for you!! I can't wait to see it all finished. You need candles....lots of candles!! And, a bath pillow....and a glass of wine!! Just one glass though cause we don't want you drowning in the tub!! I'm so excited for you!!
0 -
Tang, It's been on my mind and I forgot to ask. Did you ever find out what the red spots were from???
0 -
Beppy- a bath pillow? Pray, 'splain please. I'm liking the sound of that.
Yeah, no way I could have drowned in former tub. I'm thinking bubbly! One glass. You know I love my champs...
And candles....are there any recommendations out there for good candles in the bath? Guess the candelabra is out... Maybe those thick tall ones?
0 -
Oh my....you've never had a bath pillow???? You're in for a treat!!
