ladies
I don't even know where to begin
I don't think I can even attempt to catch up!
Tomboy. I read your post yesterday. Sending you a big hug. I could really feel how overwhelming this all is. Breathing with you. Hope you are feeling a little brighter.
I mean all the food and then the floaters and the sinkers and salmon and king estate Pinot Gris.
Slow love the emoticon
Ducky yet another adorable photo
Rain glad for no infection and that your water has returned lets get our chapter meeting going sometime during/ after the week of 10/19
Octo seems like you are turning a corner and when you come in December we will have a special NYC meeting!
Italy never confuse Italian with Sicilian or those of us with roots in Naples. Lol
Ok I'm off to a conference this weekend. And I left my computer behind. So I'm sure my posts will be more brief as I hate typing on my phone.
Thinking of all of you!
More later

Still craving matzoh and chicken broth like whoa.
Rainnyc: huh. You're right. Erysipelas does sound like a 'red shirt' from the Iliad.
SlowDeep: thank you. (Erysipelas is related to cellulitis--different layer of skin? Mine is in my face, so dunno if it's directly related to my cancer treatment....)

Since chemo my eyebrow are greyer, softer and less defined. Read in a magazine that fluffy brows are the in look. . It said to draw in sparse places with blonde pencil and draw on little fine lines for hairs. Took chemo to give me a trendy look.LO

Italy,
ha!!!! yes quite different from Italian. My grandfathers' favorite sister married a Sicilian and the rest of the family stopped speaking to that side for about 70 yrs, til I brokered a peace back in 2001
Morning fellow crazies,
In my office writing , herceptin is tomorrow, and my knee cancer is geting better since I am trying not to sit like a pretzel while we write...I know seem to have shoulder cancer from pulling on too many heavy cast iron pans last weekend and lifting stuff I shouldn't
back to check in later

Sula- I bet that the peace brokerage outcome was heavily influenced by your food.
If all the world could sit down and eat together once in awhile, imagine.
Maybe Crazytown can have the first World Eat For Peace program haha! We are already doing it. It would be a virtual thing
QMC- hope you are seeing some radical improvement today. You make me laugh. I'm craving chicken and matzoh bal soup like WHOA!, too!
Christine- have a good conference. We will miss you.
Octo- glad you are turning the corner. Funny stories!
Mommy- thanks for the morning hug. I was feeling a bit down the rabbit hole this morning, but you Crazies always lift me up!

Rainny, not sure how many shots Medicare pays for but it sure is a pisser on the PT
my solution for now is lots of pool time, a massage tomorrow (that is a test) and likely get into acupuncture
issue I have found online is if I have the shots, they work better with PT follow up
dang but gonna check into all stuff

Italychick, haha..... I had a horrible time with the big C when I went through chemo. I ended up in the ER with a bowel obstruction.
Good morning M0mmy!!
Lucy, Hope you were able to rest up after having the grands!! Did you take pictures?????
Tomboy, Thinking of you, as always!!
Ducky, I love your pictures!!! That's what makes this thread so much fun. Not only do we get our crazy out, but we talk and share about things that we love in our lives...things that give us joy and take us away from that Crazy Town feeling for a bit. I love all the things that everyone shares. It always brightens my day!!!
Gaia, Enjoy your conference!! I hope it's relaxing for you.
Queen, That sounds so uncomfortable having something like that on your face. I hope you're not in too much pain. Speedy recovery collective thoughts heading your way.
Chloesmom, So we all have trendy eyebrows??? Who knew!!?? My brows did really well all through chemo. They didn't start to thin until after I completed treatment. I've always had a lot of hair (Italian gene), but my brows have thinned a bit from how they used to be. Probably a good thing though because they were really thick, and I never had to use a pencil. Now I use it sparingly to fill in. TRENDY...I like it!!
Katy, We've all got a hold of your legs, pulling you out of that rabbit hole!!!!!
Hope you're all having a good morning so far. BBL.
Love to all...quiet crazies too!!

Slow, love the rabbit hole!

PTS, A massage sounds like such a good idea!! I've got to get me one of those!! Glad to hear you were able to exercise!!

I only wish I looked that good in white tights! Always do the black for slenderizinghaha. Love the meme!

(wails) How come I didn't get the cancer that would give me trendy eyebrows? (I have, er, strong eyebrows.) Seriously: my sympathies to those who did need to go through chemo!
Eat for Peace sounds like a grand idea.
Jack/SlowDeep: My redness/puffiness is receding, though slowly--I don't look like I went eight rounds with Ali in his prime any more--but still what my neighbor described as "a mask" (vivid red raised welt(s) across my cheeks, nose and forehead)

I just wanted to let all of you know how much you mean to me. You Crazies, and my March Chemo girls, have literally saved my sanity.
Some months ago I made a donation to bco.org on behalf of my March group. Today I set up a (very small) recurring donation. I did it for myself, but also for all of you.
Thanks again, Bep, for listening to Tomboy whispering in your ear when she came riding in on her dragonfly. Thank you for keeping that spreadsheet, and for loving us all like a sister or a mother or a daughter.

0 -
yeah well there weren't any fried oysters on hand here. 😇
0 -
Katy, we should have swopped....couple of oysters for a half a sandwich! they were big ones
0 -
yes, an oyster tomato porn swap. That was way too much for me to eat. The avocado was perfect, so I was backed into a corner by my own bread. Hoisted on my own petard!
0 -
my oyster plate was really too big for me also, or maybe I have cancer of my appetite and not hungry?

so mammo results came back fine. Next scan/test is at end of January, so I am going to enjoy the upcoming holidays

Hi guys, my breast surgeon never called me back, but I was able to get a friend of a friend who is a pathologist to go over it with me. Boy was she wonderful. I feel so much better understanding that report. She wrote a little book for folks like me, I'm going to order some copies and writ her a review. She is a really caring, wonderful doctor. Her name is Mary Edgerton and her book is the Pocket Guide to Cancer. I know she would appreciate any more reviews (positive ones especially!) if anyone out there is willing or able. Jackbirdie when you come out for your Harmony Hill adventure I'll try to remember to give you a copy. Don't forget me . . .

Maggie- great news! Don't be a stranger.
Eggroll! Will not forget you! They have responded to my application, put me on a waiting list and they haven't announced 2016 dates yet. Fingers crossed! I think I could really benefit from it. And they said Jack could come. Otherwise he would look at me like this:

The shower demo began yesterday. Up bright and early today and again Friday. I was gone for most of the hammering.
I had a first time experience preparing ham for 30 people. Made a simple glaze and heated up the slice ham. My Sunday school class served dinner to the family after the
funeral(celebration of life) Miss Kitty lived to be 101 years young. The matriarch of our church. A true southern lady.0 -
Katy.. That looks so yummy...!! :-) and Jack is adorable.!!
Maggie.. WooHoo.!! That's wonderful news.. So happy for you!!
Rose.. What a lovely idea to include the kids in the celebration of life.. and considering she made it to 101 it would of been a wonderful celebration.!!
Eggroll.. So glad you found someone to help with your pathology report..
Slow.. Yes slowly "recovering " from having my grand -babies staying with us.. :-)
It's my son's birthday tomorrow so he and his wife, twin 3 year old girls and 1 year old daughter will be here to spend the day with us tomorrow.. I'm happy we are all going out for lunch though..already wondering what to order.. :-)
