Hello crazies, another restless night for me can't seem to fall asleep for the past few weeks. Ugh. I use to love sleeping, now I can't sleep without waking back up at least 1-2x a night.

Chloesmom- I've been filling my eyebrows in too. I had my eyebrows tattooed over 10 yrs ago and since chemo my eyebrows look gray now too partly cause the tattoo has faded. I don't have any desire to get it retouched.

Spent most of yesterday on the phon. grrr. Every month I have to give a report to my disability insurance about how much I can't do yet. What a Debbie.Downer. Then I was on the phone from my insurance forever to find out where I can get breast forms. Then on the phone twice with the pharmacy to find out the insurance won't pay for the compounded cream to put on my foot chemo inducedneuropathy as I get too may SEs from the oral stuff. The neuropathy is worse and I can only walk about a block. Get electric shocks in it. Crazy
Then I found out my onco won't order the cholesterol blood work which I need for a SE from my mess she prescribed. That's the PCPs job so I had to make an appt with her. Today I have to see the retina doc as Monday I got a huge floater and bleed in my eye and we have to make sure it isn't detaching. Got out of town guests so DH will have to host as I go down to Baltimore for the morning
The good news is we thought my dog Chloewas checking out. She's been sick on and off since losing her buddy Devin 3 weeks ago. Ended up with colitis! Got meds and she was still not eating. Well last night she turned a corner and gobbled up dinner. She has her wag back!!!!! Here's a recent shot in our camper She has to see out the window to make sure we are going the right way If she can't see the road in front she howls. We call her our little navigator.

Insurance stuff sucks. I spent some time on the phone with cvs online yesterday...they screwed up the billing on my last round of neuprogen (taken after each chemo round). and on top of that they are sending me robo calls about my refills which are timed poorly and highly annoying. Billing still not totally straightened out but they claim they will stop the robot calls. Yeah, right, we will see. They send me straight into CT!!! As Bouncer I officially declare: ANYONE WHO ROBO CALLS US GETS BOUNCED!!! and sorry, they aren't good enough to wash our dishes. Greedy insurance people just get bounced period. Anyway, who needs them, we have pneumatic tubes!!!

On a positive note: I am noticing that my taste buds are not as whacked this chemo round as last. Water still tastes off (but I am skipping the lime in it from now on! :-)) but while food doesn't take as good as it usually does, it tastes better than it did. Maybe I have just figured out what to eat. Still craving beef, and realized that chicken tastes good too. and eggs and bacon! (when does bacon not taste good? and yeah, yeah, I know, but I am not that much of a Jewish Mother...) I guess I need the protein! And of course, my appetite is not diminished at all. Gained a bit of weight. I am sure I will get the lecture from the docs eventually but not worrying about it now. Then again, did I think I wouldn't gain weight between the steroids and the pot?

Mulligan.....thank you............wanted to tell you..............that is my great-grandson....and I am 80.........LOL.............many years since I had one of my own that young.......................my oldes is 58, and my youngest 46.....................I take care of him 1 sometimes 2 days a week for my grandaughter......

I see my MO today at 11:40 for my 6 month checkup. I have to tell her about my stomach cancer that I think I might have. My stomach and waist are the size of a car tire...really. It is getting bigger and bigger. Of course she will look at me like I have 10 heads, but I feel something is wrong. Yes, I am on the fluffy side, but this stomach is making me look like I am pregnant...I hate it. My dear, sweet husband says it looks the same to him...and goes on to say, maybe you can see it now because my breasts are smaller...hmpff...lol. I know she will take tumor markers and I have been swallowing Motrin like candy.
Nervous and hope I have a good visit today.

ok folks so did a shoprite visit this morning, stocked up on junk and due to the conversation of yesterday, I bought ICE CREAM! the first such thing I have bought in many years. Do you think it will help my poor stinky back? no I will not smear it on the back but do expect to have a delightful treat later.

Proud..........I go to SR in my neighborhood.......love the store.........probably not as big as yours, since this was another store and SR bought it.............but the sales are still there.................
Mine has a take out food service from the previous owners and thank heavens they didn't get rid of it.......the food is amazing.....Pizza......chinese......great entrees........and "meal deals"......super food........
We had a new one at my shore home in Cape May BEach...hardly went there, but it was huge.......ours not so much......but a great store.
Enjoy your ice cream......I'm sure it was on sale............

Ducky, yeah some of the new stores are really nice, mine is moderately new but no food service or nothing more than friend chicken!
just back from my massage, oh dear did my back like that, I need to do that more often, she also told me no heat, ice and I have been using heat so new routine but it feels so much better
who cares if the dang ice cream was on sale, it was a medical neccessity

Proud..........my SR has some kind of ice cream on sale every week....and usually very cheap.........and guess what................I know skinny people who eat no salt, no sugar, no fat, and a piece of angel food cake makes them orgasmic.................screw it if I'm gonna eat, I'm gonna enjoy myself.
By the way the person I am referring to........she got BC too.............so what am I suppose to believe............enjoy life...you only go around once.......this is not a dress rehersal..........

years ago when my mom was sick, I used to come home from work and eat a pint of ice cream for dinner, course I was not eating lunch but amazingly, lost weight!

Chloesmom and Octo- it is so frustrating to deal with insurance red tape, denials, disability, and other financial fears while going through tx and recovery. I'm so sorry you are having to defend yourself this way.

Did a u-turn straight back to Crazytown: my PCP wants me hospitalized for IV antibiotics and observation over the weekend as she wasn't happy with how the oral ones worked on my erysipelas.
Could you lovely ladies post some delicious food porn? Hospital food sucks donkey bleep--I'm having my husband smuggle me in outside food, but that won't work for all the meals.

Octo's is better. Look at that nice hunk of chicken in there! I swear I'm going to the store for a chicken and matzoh flour. I've never even tried to make it, but I can't stand it any longer! Is it called matzoh flour? Matzoh meal? Ack! I'm such a goyim myself!

Matzoh meal. But while I swear I never said this, you can buy the mix and it isn't bad, as long as you get Manichevitz, and use a bit of club soda for the floaters. You will need egg and they tell you oil also but you really need schmaltz.
ummm...I chose that pic because it was the closest to mine of anything I could quickly find on the internet. I don't have a pic of mine. I need to follow Sula's great example. If it wasn't going to be 95 or so here, I'd do it this weekend. Maybe I will do it this weekend anyway. Pray for rain. HUGS!

I don't know why but I woke up scared and nervous last night (in CT for sure) and I couldn't get this song out of my head. I know we have some Dame Judi fans here - she does a nice cover of this classic. Anybody feel like interpreting this? Or is it nothing more than a clown association with the big top?

When she finds him she realizes he is married, but has not consummated the marriage,so she proposes to him..................he turns her down, and stays true to his wife..........
Thus in the show she sings "Send in the Clowns".........when someone refers to "send in the clows.....they mean "we are in the midst of chaos in our lives....it is an expression sometimes used for total craziness in your life............

She sang it with so much feeling....others sing it too............Judy Collins does a good job....she is the one you hear the most..................Carol Burnette did it too, and Barbara Streisand....as much as I like her.....her version was just ok...........not sure if you remember the woman who won Britians got Talent........cant remember her name, dowdy woman sang I dreamed a dream...and won........she sings it too...
Yes it does make me cry to, but then again even the Hallmark commercials do......I loved when I had good chaos......6 kids, a husband to take care of.......cooking breakfast, making school lunches, big dinners..........football games, baseball season, then grandchildren.............now its.....get up....who the hell feels like eating..........finally eat whatever you have..........why bother with dinner.....its only you........and soup is fine, or salad.......sometimes nothing......who likes eating alone.............
No wonder when May came I got so damn giddy........shore, pool, 'people, warm, coffee with someone instead of the morning news...........and now that will be over too, once the house sells...........ok, enough feeling sorry for myseslf.

Ducky please don't say that about yourself. I appreciated the backstory. You mean so much to so many people. I'm sorry you feel alone sometimes. I know having Bobby twice a week paints a whole different picture. But some days are just bad. I'm glad Beppy made Crazytown for us to vent all of our crazy feelings. You are loved here, just as you are in your own family.

AAAAwww, Ducky. It's a lot of changes you have been through in your life, and the shore house was a big part of that, I wish there was some way to keep it. Your family is amazing! You are an only child, like my mom, and I think she was lonely, she had 5 kids! Only a few of my sibs had kids. altogether three boys and five girls. And only one has made my mom a great grandmother, so far! Your family has been busy! I can't believe how the littlest new addition to your family is already getting around, climbing pumpkins!

You guys are really trying to make me hungry. my mom would make these dumplings but she was a very harried housewife, and would cheat with bisquick. They were delicious though! I have had to make them myself a few times! I wonder if I have a little box of bisquick in the pantry... I am so lazy when it comes to cooking in this heat. Like a lot of people in la, I don't have an air conditioner, so it really makes me not want to go in the kitchen! I seem to go get thai food more. Something about thai always seems cool and refreshing. Or like I said, I have gotten really lazy in the kitchen...
Katy that happens to me in the middle of the night sometimes too, and you tube is a great thing to watch when that happens! You can find EVERYTHING on it! I hate the midnight heapin' jeebie's .
I am well wishing everybody, even if i don't mention everybody specifically by name, I do think about you when I am wondering through my day, and you better believe it- I AM wishing us all well.
