imageFound a pic of one of my little puppies when I was a 13 year old girl. Shadow. Puppies are so cute. I can’t take it. I wish they would never loose the puppy smell, and size and look. But obviously Be trained and behaved!

Today my very best friend came over to visit. She walked into my house and collapsed into my arms and cried for twenty mins. When she composed herself, she told me what had happened ::

Her and her son decided that since it was nice outside they would take their dog for a nice walk at the dog park. So they went and had a great time. They get home and are busy with packages and water bottles etc... well, she thought her son took the dog inside the house with him . He thought she took the dog inside with her. Three and a half hours later she had an appointment and got into her vehicle. She said she smelled urine. Then it clicked. The dog was foamed at the mouth and not breathing😞. They grabbed the the hose and tried to bring the body temp up. The dog started to breathe. She panted for four hours but made it. I've never seen her so upset. She felt so terrible. She said she almost fainted at the thought of a child. Even though she loves her dog like a daughter. Scared was not the word.

Poor pets , poor young babies. Gotta be aware always. She was having a bad day already to begin with and this just made it totally worse. Just shows things happen so quickly!! Much love ~M~

This is my Bull Terrier girl, Gigi, who is going to get me through this. She’s 7. And we only got her when she was 61/2. We had just lost my 13 yr old Bull Terrier boy. Gigi kind of fell into our laps. It’s been a perfect fit

Micmel I can't even that puppy pic! I'll have to rustle up a baby pic of my two boys who are almost 14 now and deaf as posts. I have to raise my voice loudly for both them and hubbo to hear haha

Snalffle53 - your Gigi is beautiful and you can just feel the love she has in that photo

Hoping that my Sheltie, Jackson makes it to the Fall. It looks like he is slipping away from us. He is having a hard time with with back legs and we are having to carry him up and down the stairs and now outside to do his business. Not ready to lose my boy just yet.

So sorry to hear this, Micmel.

Jackson is showing a bit of life this morning, which is encouraging. He has been getting up and walking around a little with very little stumbling or signs of shakiness.

maybe it was just a spell. I’m noticing he floats in and out of them sometimes. It’s odd. Panting heavily. Fur looking scragglier. Not shiny anymore. Poor fella. I’m starting to think that sounds like me!!

Might have been. Think he might have hurt his back paws somehow and it hurt him too much to stand up. He totally made me cry with happiness twice today. This morning he got up and walked over by where my hubby was eating breakfast, even though it was shaky. Tonight I took him outside for his nature call and he suprised me by walking a bit further than he had this morning when he went out. After bringing him in tonight, I had my husband put a treat on the rug not far from where I put Jackson down. Jackson walked over with a tiny bit of shakiness and grabbed it before he laid down.

Not pushing him very much though. I am working with him a little at a time to see if he will start walking without stumbling or becoming shaky. I stay very close once we have him on his feet and praise him when he starts walking around as much as he feels comfortable with.

ever consider cbd treats ? I give them to my dogs and it helps with inflammation and pain. My dog tag has outlasted everything they have said because of these treats. They are natural hemp oil. It also relaxes him and he is less shaky. I am sending you a hug!

Thanks for the hug. Never heard of them but I will see if I can find them around here. He seems to be more stable on the rug and on the grass more than my hardwood floors.

I got mine from a cbd store. Where they sell CBD products. Not just regular dog treats In a store. But they help. And yea tags back legs kinda just drag behind on the linoleum floors. Even falls from it. The vet said when they reach pain, we would know. He’s still so happy and loving . I can really Part either him. These rescues are always so loving. Maybe because they are so grateful To have a happy home

Jackson is still doing ok. He’s been getting around a little more. Had his water bowl on the hardwood floor near his Daddy’s chair this morning. He walked over to it and stood on the hardwood briefly before laying down. He seems to be getting more steady on his feet when standing and hardly any shaking.

I moved two small rugs over towards the entry way to the kitchen. He’s starting to walk into the kitchen to where his water bowl is.
