Stephanie,
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with dying. Who knew that it would entail as much work (if not more) than living? I particularly want to thank you for explaining the difference between healing and curing. That has been very helpful to me.
I'm Catholic, and when I hear "On Eagle's Wings," I always think of you and the others going through this thing called dying.
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand.
Much lovingkindness,
ElaineTherese

Oh Stephanie,
It seems that light attracts even more light, and that beauty attracts even more beauty.
How contagious is the gift that you have so generously shared with so many, that it rushes right back at you through this thread.
I know these thoughts, feelings, pictures, stories, etc. are all for you, but we ALL get to benefit from them.
A complete circle of LOVE.
Eternal thanks,
Louis

Stephanie, I feel very, very blessed to know you in my life. You are a unique light who has helped me, and I know others, so very much. I've got my own oddly crafted "liberal" and non-linear Christian spirituality which sustains me, too.I am very, very glad to hear you donated your writings to the Bay Area project, hard as taking that step must have been. You have so much to share and others can learn so much from you. I agree entirely, as someone above said: This thread should really be called "Light from Stephanie sent round the world." Sending you peaceful love to wrap around yourself. I am very grateful for your existence now and forever.
This is in the Santa Cruz foothills, on the San Jose side. I walked by myself in a light mist on a morning when it was about to rain. I am glad I went; being outdoors was a caress from the universe, and I hope you, too, can feel that caress when you look at this picture.

For you dear Steph - my favorite Lord Byron poem:
She walks in beauty, like the nightOf cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

Dearest Stephanie,
I haven't posted in quite a while due to a set back but I wanted to let you know I have held your strength, wisdom, kindness, love, and "light" in my heart. You helped me no longer fear death or the unknown but rather to embrace the now. I pray that your now is peaceful, warm and full of the love coming your way from all of us. Soft, gentle hugs to you my friend, Juli

My physical body continues to deteriorate, while my spirit remains bright. So grateful for gratitude, love of intimates and your care and notes too.
Am slowing down at bco now and will ask my local friend caregivers to continue to read this bco topic.
Thanks to those who read my personal blog and send messages from there to here!
Friends will keep that blog updated when I'm no longer able.
My fondest dream is to die next Wednesday, November 2 when the veil between worlds is thinnest - All Souls Day and Day of the Dead.
A friend shared this with me, so I'm sharing it with all of us:
All Souls Night - Loreena McKennitt – Lyrics
All love in all ways and for always, Stephanie

dear Stephanie, I have never corresponded with you before but recently in a dark time I found some of your writings on BCO - and was so inspired I started to track down your posts. Know that you have created an amazing and beautiful store of wisdom love and hope that will nourish countless women walking the dark path you walked before us with such unique grace. Thank you with all my heart for this great gift of light you leave on the world. You are extraordinary and beautiful and I hope you can feel that huge love radiating back to you from this world.

Hold Me
Izetta Smith
Hold me, hold me, never let me go.
Hold me like the leaves on the ends of the branches.
And when I die let me fly, let me fly,
Through the air like the leaves when they're falling.
Hold me, hold me, never let me go.
Hold me like the stars in the sky high above me.
And when I die let me fly, let me fly,
Through the sky like the stars when they're falling.

You are a blessing, beauty and grace follow you until you become the grace. May it be on All Souls Night if that remains your intention. I cant imagine a better time to leave. May beauty surround you.

Stephanie,
At church this morning we sang "Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee". As the lyrics passed on the screen, this verse caused me to think of and pray for you:
Thou art giving and forgiving,
Ever blessing, ever blest,
Wellspring of the joy of living,
Ocean depth of happy rest!
Thank you, Thank you for teaching all of us so much about living and dying.
Eternal Lovingkindness,
Louis
