Irishlove, I am a hermit most of the time myself, yes I do stuff in house for activity but hardly ever go out. If you were normally a person who goes out a lot, I am sorry for that, in your pocket for the radiation and hoping bowels and bladder are not affected.
Intolight, I am glad you could watch your brother's services as well.
I am paying remainder of my monthly bills, Tv ads for money and planning to do taxes, put it off long enough, no need to delay. Laundry and chores. Also rethinking the broccoli slaw, I did not enjoy it and wound up chopping up the rest and tossing it. I think my mind is telling me to eat normal food. Can still use the different methods to cook ie mugs, right on the plate covered by a lid, frypan on stove or in breville, just don't eat weird stuff, eat the beefpie as a meal etc. That is what I am going to do. May include some around the block walking,
I hope everyone has a good day and in everyone's pocket who needs me.

"Side effucks" says it perfectly 😂.
Don't know how good your current insurance is, but I found the transition to Medicare very smooth. We have traditional Medicare plus a supplemental plan and I think it's different from Medicare Advantage.
None of the treatments my MO and RO have prescribed have been denied. It even covered Xgeva injections (which I think are easier than Zometa infusions) with no co-pay. One thing to watch out for is to be certain that you use a "preferred pharmacy" for your specialty drugs like Verzenio, Ibrance, etc. This is different than being an "in network" pharmacy for your Part D prescription company.

Finished taxes, use the turbotax basic that prefills all forms of tax receipts so was quick. Chore 2 of bills will be happening post breakfast, ordered Mc D breakfast since was free from earning sites I use as a treat.

Lol 'side effucks' oh man, Im gonna remember that one!
So guess what ladies, the last scan DID show the tendon in my hip partially separated from the bone, but it wasnt there in the October scan. Its consistent with a heavy blow to the area. Now I loved to play hockey and that made me think of getting squished on the boards, but I certainly didn't fall or anything, so I wonder if it just hadnt picked up to now. Im going to be scanned later this week in My First Pet-CT so they can get a better look at everything and is it cancer or inflammation causing issues, what is going on with that soft tissue, and then get an orthopedic surgeon in if needed. I knew it was a damn sports injury!
Overall, feeling much better now there is a solid plan in place - we also talked adding Verzinio to Fulvestrant etc. My long time nurse is moving on to not being a nurse, so that was sad, but she got a cute hair cut. Finally, my meltdown two weeks ago was apparently widely noted, I had nurses stopping by to ask about my hip pain and how I was doing while I was waiting for my injections (sorry, have we met before?) and I was brought in early so I could have a comfy infusion chair by a sunny window which was great, I got to doze for an hour. I guess I just needed to complain more loudly the last year +? Well they got it all that time, seems to have broken the stalemate.
And to top off the wins today, I came home to Special White Dolly Mouse carefully laid out on the heating pad for me as a gift. Thanks Martin!
I need to go lay down on that heating pad a bit as im exhausted but thats the news from here.

Good morning ladies
Mae I hope the Texas fires are nowhere near you and not affecting you at all.
Emac you got snow in the valley! Weather report said it wasn’t typical
sondraf enjoy your heating pad. I take mine with me when I travel. It’s so nice to use after a long day
iriishlove I hope your radiation hits the target and does what it needs to do sparing your organs. It’s all scary.
into light I’m glad you were able to watch your brothers funeral. I saw someone taping a funeral and thought it would be insensitive to family but I understand now.
candy nice to see you. I still mask indoors too.
in pockets with chocolate mint Girl Scout cookies for all those undergoing treatment this week.

Threetree, I have lost posts when I needed to log-in and didn't notice as I tend to leave my tabs displayed. So now I refresh every time I access the site just in case.

Sodra, glad to hear the firm talking to at your med centre got you better attention. Enjoy the heating pad.
Candy, I am debating the masking for when I am in public places after the influenza A I had a couple of weeks earlier that caused a couple of nasty falls for me. We will see about that.

Several of you commented on watching a funeral online. This funeral was sensitive to online needs and was tasteful and reverent. I think the main reason for doing it online was my younger brother's sensitivity to the fact several family members have medical issues and could not travel to attend the funeral in person, me included. He even read a brief remembrance note I sent when sharing stories from others. The funeral was not about me but I feel respected because of his decision. I am thankful to be part of a family that is sensitive to the needs of others.

eleanora, I, too, have Traditional Medicare A&B with Plan G and Part D. Am hoping that the transition goes smoothly. Just gave my new numbers to my MO's office. Working on the Truqap script and also the upcoming scans. I need a PET and may ask for an MRI to see why I've been having more headaches lately.

Just got done with scans, and results are starting to come in. Abdomen and pelvis CT looks good, as does sinus CT. Still waiting for chest CT and bone scan. For some reason my stress and anxiety are off the charts this time and I don't know why. Sinuses were done for non cancer reasons anyway, but you never know.

Waving hello to all. Thank you for the encouragement on radiation that probably awaits me. Just got approved today, so I'll make the appt. tomorrow. Hope that it comes after next petscan, which is Mar.12.
Mara, write a note to put on top of your can. Tell 'em private can, not a community can. Same goes for recyling can. Nervey people! Threetree, hope the remainder of scans come back good. Sondraf, not familiar with the damage done to your hip, but sure hope it's repaired soon and you are not in too much pain. Intolight, so glad that the family recorded the funeral for you. It sounds like a wonderful gesture and family. Sunshine, hope the headaches are just seasonal or tension stuff. Illimae, I too worry about you with the fires in Texas, along with the animals and lost homes. sigh.
Is anyone else watching the Eagle cam at Big Bear Lake? We've been following Jackie and Shadow for three years now. Hoping all three eggs hatch soon. Amazing how they stayed on the nest to incubate the eggs thru horrible snowstorms, wind and those crazy ravens bothering them.
Have a peaceful, painfree day and in pocket for all with a cherrypie I made.

Irishlove, yeah, can is labeled with initials and address but these are my apt neighbours who did this, not as angry but will check on garbage at end of day going forward. Oh well, these are small issues I know. Came home for some comedy, did some deep breathing and just told myself to calm down. I feel better.

Well, enough about my garbage saga, will solve my own problems here. Free up old garbage can provided by building, load up garbage bags and put the lid on again. Might look into recycle bin with lid instead.
Not sure what I am doing today. Got TV playing ads for money, started laundry and will be deciding on breakfast. I am thinking another egg mcmuffin but made by me. Always better and somehow form beefless ground into a patty shape for the bigger sandwich maker. Might try adding lentils and beans, mold it into shape and add to the bottom of the sandwich maker, we will see. Might be good, who knows.
I hope everyone has a good day and in pockets where needed.

Intolight - Thanks for the tip about posting. I'm going to have to start watching more closely and saving drafts, etc. I guess. Unfortunate.
Mara and Irishlove - Thanks for the congrats re my so far stable scans. Bone scan also came in as showing nothing new. Still waiting on the chest CT though. Yesterday afternoon, results were coming in one right after the other, but now the one is lagging. That's the one I'm most nervous about too, although they all really stressed me out big time this time. This is the fastest results have come back since Covid, so maybe things at the hospital are improving.

From what I can tell, my final scan from Monday (chest CT) is showing as stable, from my interpretation of the report. I'm not the expert, so here's hoping the oncologist has the same take when I see him on Thursday.

Threetree great news!!!! You are probably reading it correctly.

Tanya, the fires are a couple hundred miles north of me, so I am unaffected and have great air quality and great weather, thanks for thinking of me 🙂
Heading to Houston for scans this week, feeling fine about it, no symptoms or issues so I’m cautiously optimistic for stable/nead but won’t have results until next week.
I started seeds recently, I hope I have better luck gardening this year, mice ate almost every sprout last year before anything could develop, what a waste. Using some fine netting this time and hoping for better results.
Hi to all 😁

Tanya - Thanks so much for the congrats re my scans, and your assumption that I'm probably reading thing correctly. You gave me a much needed boost!

Waving hello to all. Best wishes for good NEAD scans Illimae. What great news on all scans threetree!
Quiet here tonight. Everyone is asleep except myself. Radiation appt. is Mon. March 18th. First timer, if the R.O. agrees. Petscan is Tues. March 12, so plenty of time for the report to be finished. Still don't understand why a petscan when I am full of inflammation from MS. If I understand correctly, petscans are notorious for showing the inflammation as well as other things.
Our grand-daughter, daughter and now her husband all live with us. We had expected them to move out months ago. They are working on their marriage, but unfortunately he has not found work since quitting his job. I always tell my kids do not quit a job until you have another one lined up. The Son-in-law has a 4 yr. degree in Engineering Technology (and student loans to go with it), but has not been able to find work in that field. He's trying for a job at Home Depot, sigh. Overqualified and I worry that's why no one is calling him back. Our daughter is not well enough to work (spontaneous colon death, iliostomy and severe scoliosis. Not disabled enough according to SSDI to receive benefits. So all the bills fall on us. Stretching meals like we use to do when kids were younger and no going out to dinner. Reminds me of a Roseanne show, stretch one pound of hamburger with a lot of corn flakes to make a meat loaf. lol…
Better days ahead for all I hope and pray and in pockets for scans.

threetree Yaay for stable scans! Keeping the faith that you're right and will hear the same tomorrow.
Irish Definitely agree PET can be very sensitive especially with inflammation. Geez I'm so sorry to hear of your families struggles. So much extra stress on you and DH , I pray for he finds a engineering job soon to relieve this worry. For real??? Sounds like your daughter certainly has enough to qualify! I just don't understand the system sometimes… infuriating for sure!
Mae Safe travels, in your pocket for a clean scan!
intolight You are very blessed to have such a thoughtful family.
Off to treatment today. The drearies are here for another day think it's early April showers,
Hi to all here… thinking of many…sending positivity, strength and hugs to all who need it today🌺

Congrats on stable, threetree.

Stable is great! More good news please ?
Mae~ glad you’re away from the fires.
thinking of us all struggling out struggles and hoping we have a good day. Hugs to all

Threetree, glad incoming sscans are good as well.
Mae, hoping fires stay away and air quality is not affected for you..
Irishlove, I am sorry that things are so tough in your house, disgusted for your daughter not qualifying for SSDI. Although I enjoy stretched meals, doesn't mean everyone does. I hope it turns around soon for you and your family. In your pocket.
Cookie, was rainy yesterday, it is pretty dull here, not sure if getting rain but the early April showers does sound correct for me too.
I am not sure of the agenda today, should continue TV for ads, will probably do up beans and rice to use up black beans and lentils mixed with beefless ground, give a garlic profile this time. Don't have anywhere I need to go so probably will stay in for the day which is fine, do some chores and that is about it.
I am in everyone's pocket and hope everyone has a good day. Looking up ways to stretch the cat food here, just the wet, planning to add a bit of white rice and bit of scrambled eggs to their wet food throughout the day. Both things are safe for cats as long as they are unseasoned. Mix it together with wet food and use it between dry food.I also looked back on my complaining about the garbage and deciding to stop worrying about it, much worse things go on in life than that, need to grow up and stop being such a grump about small things. Be positive about the fact I can walk up and down the stairs. I can come up with better ways to deal with getting around etc, make my own life better than focus on annoyances. Still working on changing my mindset, complaining and anxiety have been a large feature in life, changing in my 50's is no small challenge but will keep going. I did check email and there has been an email sent out by property managers about the trash issue and my recycling was picked up as well which is good. The email from the PM's even included the part about not throwing your garbage on top of a neighbour's and to replace a garbage can if you do not have one. Glad they were listening.

Irish love, I was a psychiatric case manager when employed. It seems people get SSDI on their 3rd try and usually using a lawyer. Don't give up. Bonus is when they actually approve it, they date it back to the original application. The lawyer is paid with a share of the back payment.

Well, my pulmonologist called my MO and discussed the Pleurex catheters and my MO agreed to it. So I have an order in to have one placed on either side. I'm still a little nervous but I think it will be better than doing weekly thoracenteses. I also had a coworker who's husband got a bunch of guys together and they are going to help remove and chop up the pine tree that fell in the snowstorm on to my fence. It's a relief to have those things getting done. The fence is fortunately covered by my homeowners insurance so my next project is getting that fixed.
Irish - I hope your son-in-law is able to find a job in his skillset. I am not feeding a family but can empathize with the cost of food (and everything else it seems). Congrats on the radiation, I hope it brings you some relief.
Glad to hear Illimae is safe and I am in your pocket for stable/NEAD
Also glad for Threetree's good news

Irishlove, your daughter needs to apply again. And again if necessary. I think it's the third application when you need to see the SSA disability judge.
Good luck to you and your family

Irish - There's so much I want to post, but not up to it all right now, however, I do want to chime in right away about your daughter's disability issue. I will echo what wren44 has said. I work in guardianship and would strongly suggest getting a lawyer who specializes in disability law. Most who apply on their own are turned down. An attorney who specializes in disability law is almost always necessary, but even then, it can sometimes take more than one try. Keep trying and good luck 🤞!

Threetree- its great to hear of a stable scan from someone! And Mae should follow in the next week or two ahead of hopefully many more of us.
emac- what a really great thing for your coworker to arrange to have done. This is the sort of thing you think of when people as if you need help - they hear the problem and go to fix it not just.. walk away. Good luck with those catheters and I hope they help solve the main discomfort.
Irishlove - Im almost the opposite of you where they want the PET in order to see just how much inflammation is in there vs the cancer at this point. Still dont have a date though, Im guessing it will be next week sometime. Let's hope we have positive outcomes :)
I woke up this morning feeling… different in some way. I dont know what it is but my leg has been working great all day (just gets tired of course). Hard to explain, maybe I tipped over the point where the inflammation in some areas has subsided thanks to aggressive icing, or that lidocaine patch really worked last night, but I hope I have the same tomorrow. I went to acupuncture and pain med review at hospital this afternoon, then ran into a local friend on the Tube who I hadn't seen since May. He filled us in on the doings of our other friend (who lives down the street from us) with some bombshell news they are apparently selling the house and moving country for a year to support the wife's business activities/ambitions. Had no idea that was happening, feel kinda left out I guess. But there are a lot of people chopping and changing their lives it seems, I think its time for us to do that too. (I also feel grumbly of the fact that for this friends wife, everything always seems to go her away on her terms and her schedule, to hell with what anyone else wants - its always very calculating and I dont really like to be around her. Like when does cancer strike for any of them? I feel like such a career loser when it wasn't my fault) .

threetree - congrats on stable!
Mae - hope you hear those same words next week.
emac - glad to hear there are plans for a catheter - pocket duty for the procedure.
Irishlove - pocket duty for radiation. I’m sorry that you daughter’s family is struggling. I think most of us would feel that let me have it but spare my child. Sometimes life just stinks but things can turn around. And I pray they do. It is not easy having extra people to support but you are a blessing to them. Hugs.
I got a steroid injection in my right knee today. The pain has been awful, even waking me at night. This will buy me some relief until I go in for a knee replacement. My hubs is 7 weeks post op and his ortho is very pleased with his result. I’m looking to get mine done late summer. That will make 4 joint replacements for me. Getting closer to bionic😂😂
Hoping everyone has a good evening and good nights sleep.

Waving hello to all. @emac877 I have to say I was happy to get away from thorascentesis (sp?) and have the pleurex cath inserted. Much more comfortable, lower risk of collapse of the lung and infection. The systemic treatment eventually dried up the effusion and I was able to have it removed. Wishing you all the best.
Another quiet night around here. Waiting for the Eagles in S. Calif. to hatch their 3 eggs. Love watching them on Youtube.
Thank you all for suggestions to help our DD try again for disability. She's been out of work 9 plus years with no income, but takes great care of our granddaughter. Hoping the son in law finds work soon.
In pocket for all your needs.
