I wished Lita a Happy Mother's Day , and when I. Clicked on the link Kandys picture came up because she created the thread. That really hit me so very hard seeing her picture. This is going to be a bitter sweet day for many i would assume. My mother drives me crazy but you only get one mother. I am just broken hearted for losses this early part of the year already. Kandy was a close one, a tough heartbreaking one, artistatheart, stagefree(Ebru) , raewyn, I know I am missing someone really important but the sadness has me. If you are missing someone today let it out. Love you guys ~M~

mae- seeing your pictures makes me so excited about my family's beach trip coming up in July. Save a steak and margarita for me.

micmel- have a great mother's day! I'm glad your dh is with you today.

5Osgirl- you are so busy! It's great that you and your husband lives such full lives. Very inspiring.

welcome back divine! Glad things have calmed down a little.

gracie- I'm so glad you are posting. Your spirits seem a little better today. I would definitely check into the drug interactions. Maybe they can adjust it and your dance with ibrance will be a beneficial one. I continue to pray for you.

    HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!

Great pics Mae! Enjoy your vacation! I have a friend who lives in Destin, and another that lives in Niceville FL (right next door). I have yet to get there, maybe someday.

    Keetmom-Congrats on the graduation!

    Tanya-You really are busy!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! I hope you had a wonderful day! I got french toast in bed from my older daughter, as well as red roses, lindt milk chocolates, and a "Nana" sign that lights up. My older son gave me 2 bags of mini milky ways. My younger daughter gave me white roses with hot pink on the edges of the petals. And my younger son gave me a beautiful orchid plant. We spent the afternoon at my youngest (sister number 4, I'm number 1) sister's for a cookout, with my Mom and sister number 3 (sister number 2 is a labor and delivery nurse, and was working). It turned out to be a nice day, a little cool, but sunny. We soaked up as much sun as we could. Nice day.

I hope everyone had a nice day!

    Good night!

Lynne~ sounds like a wonderful day and a family who treated you very well. I love you're always surrounded by a big family. I've never had that, so it sounds like a lot of fun to me. I love chocolate, it certainly is one of my weakness for sure!

I got some m&m peanuts and Charleston chews. Some beautiful red roses and pink tulips with some greenery in a beautiful mason jar from DD ans SIL... my DS got me a rotodendren potting plant for the side of the house in a nice pink shade. DH said he would plant it! DH made a great lunch and dinner... went grocery shopping for me, so I had my food for the week and he stayed and extra night here, he knows I am raw with emotion, several good cry's today with worry about the up coming three out of five days this week testing. So as we all know, the stress can be paralyzing. So he stayed because he knew I would do better with him here. Can't wait to be in the same house. Permanently. Scanxiety is so very real..

Divine~I love the pic of you and your DS, handsome Family that you have. He looks so young. Wow I'm getting old. I love the color of your hair. Your son resembles you for sure. Thanks for sharing a lovely part of your mother's day!

Minnie~ Hi darling. Hope you found the corner you needed to lay down to rest. You sounded quite busy. I find it awesome!! Hope you had a wonderful day today! How is the weather in Spain this time, as we get spring ? I was always interested in that?!! Good to see you. As always !

Mae~ that looks like a ton of fun. I am deathly Afraid of heights and spiders. It does look absolutely amazing to be able to see that far out in the ocean. Did you see any sharks or whales swimming along? Looks like quite a day. Was what you sat in comfortable for you to sit ? How long did the ride last for you? You look like your having a blast... what's been on the menu? I love vacation eating lol. Be safe thanks for sharing your pics. I enjoy them as always.

    Much love to all ~M~

Keetmom~ congratulations proud parents!! Thinking of you all. 🍾❣️❣️

I'm at home, until I have to go back to have my bone scan done. I had the nuclear dye done at 8:30, then went to CT scan for my second drink (I drink one at home before I go, it gets me out of there faster), and then had my CT scans. I go back for 12:30. The place I go to is only about a mile away, so I come home for the break in the middle. I'll get the results this afternoon or tomorrow. The receptionist, has all the paperwork ready for me before I even get there. I guess going every 3 months for the past 6 years has it's advantages. They all know my name, and I know their's. I'm kind of hoping for a little growth, just so I can get off of this chemo. A year of all these side effects stinks! I know I should want good results, and then stay on it as long as I can (then the longer I'll be around), but I've pretty much had it at this point! Every 3 weeks I get hardly any sleep for the 6 days I'm on steroids, and then the next week I have to stay home for fear of falling from the dizziness, and being near the bathroom for the other lovely side effect. Never mind the numb fingers and toes that started a few months ago. (Can you tell it's cloudy here today? That always brings me down! Plus it is Monday!).

Oh I forgot to say I also got a bottle of wine, from my younger daughter! Yes they all know me so well! Flowers, chocolates, and wine! LOL

Great picture, Divine! Nice of him to give you a surprise visit!

Oh my gosh, Mae, you are so brave. I am afraid of heights (I used to close my eyes going up the chairlift skiing, and would tell me husband to let me know when we are at the top!), I could never do it. My husband has asked me to many times when we are on vacation. I'm too chicken. I also refused 2 helicopter rides (never been, never will). He's the daredevil not me! Love the Great Blue Heron! We have them here too. There is one on the lake my in-laws live on. They look like Pterodactyls when they fly. Enjoy the rest of your vacation! Glad you are having fun!

I suppose I should have some lunch before I head back, to lay on that hard table for a half hour. I'll let you know the results, when I get them!

    Hugs and prayers to all!

    Lynne

Hi ladies! Tomorrow is my PET scan and today I found out I have UTI! Wish me good luck to be able to hold it during the test and 1 hour before. I hate this situation, but I have to deal with it. Any advice! Thank you in advance!

MicMel today is your test and the scanxiety will be over. Thinking of you!

Devine, love this picture with you son. Happy mom.

Mae, thank you for the pictures. Now we can easily imagine that we are with you on the beach. Do everything that comes to your mind, this is life.

    Love. Elen

Thinking about everyone who has scans this week! Mine start in the 1st. Hoping the Ibrance is working but freaked out that it might not be! Tumor markers are horrible things!!!!

Mae!!! Wow!!! I’m sooo impressed! I don’t like heights at all, but that looked wonderful

    Hi Gals!

Mae-Love the new teal hat! My sister lives in Niceville so I am familiar with Destin. So fun!

keetmom-how lovely to have your daughter graduate from college. Hope you are fairing well these days.

Divine-such a great photo of you with your son. You are looking very well; hope you are feeling well too.

Lynne(Man) -this cloudy Monday is bugging me, too. Sounds like a crazy day for you with the scans. It must be so draining to have been getting this killer chemo for so long. A week from today we will be meeting for lunch in Portsmouth! Looking forward to it. love the image of you gardening in your nightgown! I have been known to go out in the morning in my PJs to inspect my seedlings....

Micmel-how are you, dear one? Tough week of testing, I know. It's always great to get it over with and return to one's normal home routine. I know you loved the extra day with DH; it will be the best when you two live under the same roof permanently. Your bouquet of the roses and tulips sounds so pretty and I'm sure the candy didn't hurt your feelings a bit!

Blueshine-bummer on the UTI. 24 hrs of antibiotics will make a big difference; there are also some OTC products that numb up the urinary tract. May the force be with you during your scan.

Feeling well still; maybe a little more tired on this third cycle of Madame X. Feet are hanging in there-a little burning and stinging as I approach the end of the two weeks. Bailing the urea lotion to them. Enjoying poking around the yard on the sunny days and seeing different birds. latest are Baltimore Orioles and little Black and White Warblers.

Sending love and hugs to all of you-hope your day is decent

Mary Jane, thank you for the idea of OTC products. I'll check tonight, it may help while waiting for the antibiotic. I am glad you feel well on Madam X.

Hi guys! Palliative care doctor tomorrow, blood work Wednesday and scans on Thursday! I am in a scanxiety funk, I just can't help it. Worrying is draining! I am here reading. Just spirits are down. Worry alone is like cement shoes. I hope everyone is coping good if you're scanning this week.

Mae~ our sweet daredevil, have a drink for me, loving how you have such gusto. I wish I was like that, and I keep thinking. Why don't I? Be safe and loving the pics for sure. What's on the menu?

    Bigbhome 💜

    Holmes hope all is well...

MJH thank you sweet friend. I am beyond thrilled this thread brought you three together for lunch with real people who understand. I am in awe and wish I could be there too!

Divine ~ hope the visit with your handsome son was everything you wanted. 😃🌷

I got my results from my scans today. The two CTs showed no change from 3 months ago. The bone scan looked the same except more uptake (of the nuclear dye) in my ribs. The report said it could be from the treatment. My ribs have been killing me off and on. It happens after I've been coughing for a week or so, then takes a month to stop hurting. My oncologist says I may have broken a rib or two, and there is nothing they can do for it, but let it heal on its on. I'll ask her what she thinks at my appointment on Friday.

Mae-Love the pics! I'm so glad you are having fun!

MJH-I may mow the backyard tomorrow morning (if it's not raining), in my nightgown, before my shower! (Don't worry, the yard is not that big). Can't wait to get together with both of you a week from today!

Micmel-I hope the next 3 days fly by for you. I'll be thinking of you!

Blueshine-Good luck tomorrow! I hope the UTI is better. Cranberry juice is suppose to be good for it too.

Here's a chuckle for you. Our granddaughter (she's 8 1/2) was over this afternoon. I'm hearing her "play" the piano in the other room. Our younger son went to check on her. He asks her why she's sitting on the piano. She says that she wasn't sitting on the piano, she was playing it with her butt.

Have a nice evening my friends!

Palliative care doc sick. So I had to reschedule..

I just found out that another sister has lost her battle with this beast (Kayboorg) Missy. She was a sweet light hearted soul who supported anyone who needed her. She was with her DH,girls and her mother and pastor. Her DH noted she didn't suffer. I am thankful for that.. I feel so empty.... fly high our sweet sister. No more pain for you, sweet angel. 💔😞😢

    Much love ~M~

Mae-All I can say is YUM!

Micmel-Sorry you had to reschedule, and sorry about your friend. Good luck with your scans this week.

Gracie-Yes good scans. The rib pain was last around until the week after vacation (it lasted about a month). Once the ribs heal, I only have a little pain. Too many holes in my bones.

This morning was sunny this morning (now thunderstorms watch for the next hour, we could use the rain, nothing yet, thunder in the distance), so I mowed the back yard in my nightgown, wearing my sneakers, and going bald. I got it done in 45 min. My husband of course did the front yard (very small) a couple of days ago. Next time he can give me the small yard! I figured why get my clothes all dirty, wear the nightgown, then take the shower! So that's what I did! LOL Thankfully, the black flies (a New England thing, blood suckers like the mosquitoes, only they bite harder and the spot is much itchier) weren't out this morning.

I heard screeching in the back yard earlier. I saw 2 squirrels in my neighbor's tree, where there nest is, going nuts. A red-tailed hawk was in their nest. This is why my small cats aren't allowed outside. Those hawks are huge. I told him to come back and get the rest of the squirrels (I know I'm cruel). I'm sick of them cleaning out my "squirrel proof" bird feeders. I saw one of them also chewing the plastic seats on the kid's swing set. They were in our "attic" (we have a cape), until my husband put heavy duty screening on the peak vents. I don't mind the chipmunk and opposum, they stay on the deck and out of the feeders, but those darn squirrels! I'm always banging on my sliding door. Some run, some don't.

    Enjoy your evening everyone! Hugs!

    Lynne
