Hi back Mel and all--
Today has not been a good day. See multiple posts on the Ibrance Thread. Can I just crawl under the covers and call it a day.

Candy~Just go in as your concerned self. You’re allowed to be apart of your Decision making with your own life. Maybe bring someone with you. As a buffer/listener because you’ll be heightened already. Just calm
Down and simply explain to her like you did us. I am sure these doctors have seen it all honestly. You’re allowed to be afraid. You’re allowed to ask any damn question you want to ask. Just breathe. Problem patient my ass, what you did is nothing !!0 -
Thanks Mel. Hugs.
I just posted again on the Ibrance Thread. Should talk with MO on phone Monday. I will have my thoughts together. I do not have anyone to help me. Never have. I just pray I can communicate what I want and how I want to the MO. And she will be willing to listen to me.

Nicer weather here today. Did two hours of walking. Treadmill for 1 hour with 1 min rest breaks put in whereever I wanted them. This afternoon, walked up to my fast food joint to pick up an order of snack size burgers and some wee cinnamon donuts. That was another hour in total. Much better. Roasted on the way home. It was cool when I set out so I wore a vest over a long sleeve shirt. I was not smart enough to just take off the vest. Oh well, sweating makes me feel like I did something.
Candy, I think with time to think about what you want to say, you will communicate what you want with the MO.

Mara~Cinnamon sounds delicious! I love how committed you are to walk everyday like you do. That's awesome. We took a ride and went to cvs. I always spend money there. Their store is a treasure trove. Lol

Mel, if I did not walk, I would be much larger. As it stands, my diet of beans, cheese queso and crumbled tortilla chips have caused some weight gain but my bloodwork no longer shoes me as anemic. I feel healthier now, if it means a few extra pounds, so be it.
I did check out CVS online. I can see a lot of beauty products, a lot like Shoppers Drug Mart here in Canada. I used to get lost in the make up aisle. Loved it. I can see why you would want to shop there.

Mara~I really don’t eat very much at all. Don’t have a good appetite at all. But my crappy metabolism doesn’t know this. I could look at some cookies and milk and gain another ass. I also love chocolate, cupcakes cakes. Cheese cakes. Doughnuts. I love sweets. I try to eat them in moderation of course. I wish my one net was not on my lower spine. It’s getting so nice for walking. I miss feeling like I’ve done something. Physical. I miss the strength I once had. Wow do I ever.0

My dog was housekeeping today. Lol. (They were on and off in two seconds, but he was. Cute!)

Mel, such a sweet dog and definitely love the gloves! As far as missing strength that we had before cancer, I am with you there.

It’s like no one can understand unless they like have lived it. No one understands what is taken from us. Mentally, physically emotionally, sometimes I just want to have a pause button. To catch my breath from all this living I can’t do anymore. I dream of it. It’s all I can do.
My dog is a sweet one. He is very trusting. 11 years old acts like a puppy0 -
INSOMNIA HAS HIT AGAIN! Good grief. I think it's too warm for me. I love the air conditioner... I like it cold at night. I hope I can sleep. No nap today either. Who am I? I always nap. Today we went for a ride. It was so nice outside. My masks and wipes came today both. So that is good. I'm all set. I hope everyone is good. Been quiet this weekend. Hope that means all out livin.

Mel,
What an adorable picture of your dog. What is his name again? Sorry, no memory left.
You wrote that you like cheesecake, so I've got to tell you all my story...I recently made my DH a cheesecake for his birthday. The recipe calls for 8 pkgs. of cream cheese, 7 eggs, and 2 cups of sugar (along with a few other ingredients). I went to pick up the springform pan and put it in the oven....but I forgot to latch the springform pan in the closed position. The bottom of the pan fell out, and the batter went all over the oven door, on the floor, and on the cabinets near the stove. I almost passed out from shock! My DH came in and cleaned it up for me, and we had to clean the oven to use it. I made him another one the next day, and you can be sure I latched that stinking springform pan this time! I'll bet I will never forget to latch that springform pan everagain!!!
Waving hi to Mara, Candy, Tanya, Mae, Santa, MJH, and all of the rest. Happy Sunday to all.

Good Sunday morning all.
It has been quiet on this Thread this weekend. I have been posting my woes on the Ibrance Thread as they pertain to that. I have had a lot of responses there trying to help me and give me advise. I will talk to MO Monday. Dread that talk. I hope I have not upset her or the staff by declining a treatment she ordered. Slippery slope standing up for what you believe while not upsetting the medical staff.
Mel- Sorry to hear of your insomnia again. Cute dog. I too love sweets.
Mara- I have not been on my treadmill lately. My bad. Maybe today....
Maybe others will chime in here today and say HI.
Edited to say---HI Boo.

His name is Deeohgee ! Lol at BooBoo! Sorry about your cheesecake! Lesson learned. It has been a glorious weather weekend.
Candy~Try to relax, you are allowed to be apart of your care especially if you’re uncertain about anything you would be taking. Try to remember it’s your life0 -
Hello to all!
Mel, you are correct that it's gorgeous weather out there!! Hoping to get for a walk at a local public garden that is still open, but unfortunately, the other day I wore a different pair of sandals while walking there and got a humungous blister on the bottom of my toe that exploded -- it hurts a lot and I'm trying to heal it so need to take it a bit easy on the walking.
Besides that fact, I have had three scans in the past two weeks, with the third being a nuclear bone scan that showed just how extensive my bone disease is (or was -- all lesions are identified as "sclerotic.") Don't know about others, but in addition to scanxiety, when I have a scan that shows stuff, even if I haven't had a pain in those areas before, the power of suggestion kicks in, and I start feeling things I wasn't feeling before. So this weekend, I've been feeling very tired as a result of that bone scan, primarily. I know that it's psychological, and that I'm no sicker right now than I was before those three scans, but somehow, they make me feel sicker. Does anyone else have this going on or am I alone in this?

Laurie, that would totally happen to me in the kitchen. What a wonderful DH to come and clean it up for you. That is a good one right there. Glad you were able to make a new one.
Candy, I have not been on the treadmill yet either. Too busy filling out surveys for money. Doing some squats and step bench work by pretending I am going up the stairs at my old condo. I also found vigourous chair workouts and am running on the spot for 30 seconds then resting 30 seconds. Brings my heartrate right up. I will go out today as it is sunny. Going to try out my new UV blocking umbrella. Don't care if people think it is weird, it will protect my skin as my head is more at risk from the brain radiation. I also don't mind walking in the sun, but recognize it makes sense to use one along with sunscreen. I don't like the big hats so the umbrella made more sense. Automatic open and close too which is nice. Not going to try to walk a couple of hours today. Need to give my feet some respite. A short walk feels more in order, maybe to the grocery store nearby and see what treats I can get. Thinking of getting chocolate which always appeals to me.
My delivery of the hand sanitizer and generic oxyclean from the dollar store is coming tomorrow. Really looking forward to the hand sanitizer myself. Be an easy way to clean my hands. I wash and dry my keys with soap and water and use rubbing alcohol to wipe my bags down if not tossing them in the wash.
I tried a Dr OZ 7 minute full body HIIT workout including a bit of weight work. It was intense and I performed the best I could. I figure that little bits of exercise like this combined with a chair workout give me something to do besides walking

I also have found that listening to an audio book on the treadmill certainly kept me from watching the clock yesterday morning. Would not try that outdoors as I must be so careful of paying attention to steps. Stumbled a bit on a curb and almost fell. Will keep using music outside and look down more often. I did see people running and biking in face masks but our chief officer of health in Canada said that was not necessary and could be harmful due to humidity inside the mask while exerting yourself. She said as long as you can social distance, a mask is unnecssary, just to wear it indoors with others if doing errands.

Mara, HIIT can be VERY effective in a very short duration of time.

I agree Santabarbarian. Need to push. Will keep it up for sure.

Today was absolutely lovely outside. The weekend was perfect and we took two rides. I don’t walk to great on funky terrain either. My balance isn’t what it used to be in anyway. I definitely view curbs and such to be that for sure. I am clumsy if I’m honest since the AC and abraxane my feet have taken a beating. I am very prone to falls. I wish I had an elyptical . I could at least do something!0

BevJen~I absolutely Hate blisters oh man ouch. Plain and simple. Then it takes a week to even attempt to wear them again. Your poor foot! Hope it feels better.

Micmel, I’m glad you got out and enjoyed your lovely weather. Sometimes change is scenery can do so much for someone’s mood.

getting my hair done today, so I'm happy about that Dh also. My friend is going to do it with a mask on. So. It should be safe those chemical smells should kill something!! Just have to stay awake long enough near nap time. Another beautiful day where I am. Hope it is where you are too.

Mel- Enjoy getting your hair done !!!! My hair appt is tomorrow !!!! Awaiting a call from my MO today (saga from Ibrance thread). Otherwise not much to do today.

Candy~just be your caring self and just be honest with your feelings. Take notes if you have to. She should damn well understand caution and being involved in your own care treatment!! Good luck. I'll be waiting to hear in your pocket. Since you said you're going alone..,

Thanks Mel. Your post means a lot. I do not like conflict and I want people to like me. So questioning my doc is scary.

Candy~just lean more towards a discussion than a confrontation. Just tell her you had concerns and questions You're allowed. There is no time clock to decide if you'll accept a treatment a doctors proposal. You're the one that deals with the side effects. Not them. I think you'll do well.... 🌻

Okay they are really here. I never thought I’d see them again. Ahhhhhhh I got ten packages (personal packages) purse size. I honestly wanted them for my vehicle and while out with doors etc..

I also got my masks, I love them , they are comfortable and washable. I figured My dh made some, so he can wear them. I’ll wear these. The doctors ones we had had to be thrown out So I wanted to make sure we had enough. They feel like swimwear and are so breathable but you get full protection on your mouth and nose. Finally my orders are coming in. I want my clothing now... just gotta wait. I was wondering if you ladies would share photos of your different masks. It may give my dh some ideas. Of designs. Plus, I’d Iike to see them lol I love my New ones
