Hi everyone, Micmel, not really taking a vacation, trying to keep up here but no news from me so haven't posted. Scans this week, results and treatment next week. Summer arriving here and it's getting hotter! Just taking it easy, coming out of lockdown gradually here in Murcia, Spain. We have had few deaths this week in Spain, so let's hope it continues downwards.

    Stay safe everyone

    Mel,

I wrote here yesterday, and when I went to post (submit), it was gone. It's happened to me more than once lately. Wondering if it's a flaw in the system?

    Good morning all

Lost my granddaughters 6 month old kitten that I was keeping for her for three days. We think he got in the garage and snuck out when my husband left. Sad. Ugh

    Nothing else here

Hope everyone has a good weekend. We have rain which gives me a gardening break. That coupled with ibrance means na

tanya he may be hiding and scared. cats use smell a lot to find their way. Maybe you can put some food out, or the cat's bed or blanket if he has one. So sorry this happened to you but maybe he can be found?

Tanya~Oh!No! I'm so sorry that reallly sucks... they sure are small and can snuggle up into the furniture if they are scared. Maybe it's still in your house. I hope so !!!!! Sorry about the gardening. I can honestly say it's going to be to hot for me here today. 85 yuck. I like 60-75 perfect But I it will damper down covid. I'll take the heat !

Minnie~ hi sweet woman. I'm Not vacationing either. Haven't since diagnosis. Just barely make it around the house with lead boots on Fatigue like a train. I dance 125 mag is strong stuff. Hard in the mouth also. Tanya. What month for you? I'm going on 45 I believe maybe 46. I can never remember Glad your restrictions are being lifted. Slowly here too. But still no good stores are open So I'm an online victim shopper. I ordered sweat pants yesterday. One of my favorite pair will soon be crotchless. The material is soooo thin.

All the mailing is seriously slow. Things are taking longer because it's all we can do to shop. Everything has been effected. There has been too much bad things happen in our society recently. I hope against hope it calms down to just knowing we all are together in this world. All together..

it’s a glorious day outside So sit and enjoy lovely nature. Just breathe it in. It’s so nice. Did my errands. Going to try to do my nails. Watch something good. DH has to Go away for business for an overnight, bu that’s it. Hope everyone is doing good today.

I came across this today. It’s a 100 year old rhododendron and the woman who planted it. Pretty amazing. I’ve never wished to be 100, even before I knew about my MBC, but now I think she’s kind of lucky.

    image

Pretty quiet for me here. Our smallish town has several protests scheduled for today and tomorrow. They’re intended to be peaceful and I hope they are.

DH and I are trying to decide whether or not to attend a weekend get together at a hotel with friends in a couple weeks. It seems like all the regulars (about 30 people) are going without hesitation. We’ve hardly seen anyone socially and not been inside a restaurant since March. I ran it by my MO last week and she said she would not suggest it with a large group. We had not planned on going but now we’re wavering a little. My DH really needs some social contact and he really enjoys this bunch of friends (and the Saturday drive with the car club on a scenic twisty route in southern Ohio). I enjoy it too but it’s those darned dinners where we all sit close together that worry us both. Ugh.

I hope everyone’s having an ok or even a good day!

Rosie are the restaurants going to be allowing that kind of group gathering? I can't see that happening anytime soon in New York. Right now you can only sit outside with a certain distance between tables and masks are mandatory except for when you are eating. Crazy times! I don't go much of anywhere other than medical appointments. I don't even take walks around the block. When DH is home we might go for a drive or perhaps an easy hike a remote area in the Finger Lakes. My back can't take much more than that. Today the gov here said the virus can live in the air up to three hours. This is a bit scary. We live in a small village with tons of walkers. No-one is wearing masks. DH calls the sidewalk the Covid highway.

I am off Afinitor and Aromasin both now and had my first Faslodex injections yesterday while I was getting Zometa. The shots didn't bother me too much and they are not too sore today. I would say I feel a bit tired today and my appetite is still way way off from the A/A. MO would have liked to put me on Piqray but I have lost 25 pounds I did not need to lose. I am a total skinny minny and need some time to gain weight back on. Anyone have any tips? It's hard to force yourself to eat - ugh!

Gorgeous day here - I'm resting on my porch recliner and I might just snooze a bit here has well.

Moomala, so sorry to hear your appetite is still not good. Never easy when dealing with that for sure. I hope it will perk up soon for you.

I went out for a walk with my older brother at a park and then went shopping at my grocery store. Got a few heavy things since I was getting a ride. I also bought some mini reese peanut butter cups. This is significant because I could not eat anything with peanuts going on three years due to food intolerance. I decided to try with digestive enzymes and the first one I had a few hours ago, I got nervous so took a zofran. I have those post infusion as I can get pretty nauseated from Herceptin. The first one was of course fine. I then had supper a few hours later and I had one more. We will see how this one sits without an immediate nausea med. I love the taste, and it was every bit as good. Got a couple of hours and I will know if they will be able to be eaten without the nausea med. I hope so, I have so missed the taste of peanut butter in the last 3 years. I will be happy if I can have the occasional one. Love them.

Hey gang. Who sauntered nonchalantly out of the garage at 6:00 p.m.

Thanks for the encouragement. I did put food in laundry room between garage and house. He’s a really good hider.

Rosie~I love that picture you posted of the rodadendrun And how damn awesome is that woman standing there next to the bush. It kinda made me think that in 100 years each leaf was a memory of her own. That is so awesome. (Also if I could spell)

Tanya~I knew it!!!!(so did Santa). That’s so great that you found that kitten. I figured he was hiding, cats especially hide when it’s not their home. Just always that way when I dealt with cats in general. So glad for you.!

Mara~Glad you got the things you needed and had a ride ! It was warm today to be trucking all around. I hope the peanut butter is ok for you as well!

Moomala~ I am generously giving you 30 lbs is my weight. No problem. I would gain weight with my mouth tied shut. Ugh!! One extreme to the next. Been told point blank It’s the medicine plus. Hormonal menopause! I look I gain. Makes me so mad.

    Yay! Kitty returns!

Nothing to report here, except I hear you all with food issues, it’s no fun at all.

Moomala, We have one person who scouts out restaurants and makes reservations. I assume they're ok with the size of the group, probably split into smaller tables. Ohio restaurants are allowed to be open, outside and in, with max table size of 10 (I think), and tables spread apart. I've read that some restaurants across the country are going out of business after losing months of income during the shutdown, which is very sad.

And, I was wondering if you've tried the high protein drinks like Boost to try to gain back some weight? I don't know how they taste. Or maybe other things like bread and potatoes that dieters try to avoid. I guess whatever you can handle eating is what you'll eat. I hope slowly you can tolerate more foods.

Tanya, Yay, for the kitten coming out of hiding!

Mara, I hope the Reese's cups don't cause any big problems. They are good!

Candy, I hope you're feeling better now after the neupogen shots? That sounded pretty miserable (on the Ibrance thread). You should treat yourself somehow after that ordeal.

Mel, I hear ya on the weight gain. Me too.

Mel and Rosie, the reese cups were good. Did not have any issues. I do intend to keep eating them with the digestive enzymes and skipping the zofran.

Tanya I am really glad the kitten came back. Puts the mind at ease.

    Tanya,

I was about to ask you if you needed my help finding the kitten. I was trying to imagine how you would tell your granddaughter that Grandmom lost her kitty! I am SO glad the kitten returned. Whew! Dodged that one.

    Happy Sunday all.

    bravo Tanya!!!!!!!!

I adopted a feral cat many years ago. She hid in my house for 3 weeks!!! I never saw her in the daytime but the food would be eaten in the am.

Then one night after 3 weeks, I woke up as she was walking across my bed and settling herself down to sleep next to me, and from then on, the stopped hiding.

We took a kitty in from my brother and it took him a month to come Out to Even be near us. He went up into the couch and waited until we went to sleep to come out and eat and then use the litter box. He never really adjusted so we gave him back, but If they are scared they could hide for a long time. I'm so glad kitty has returned. No bad news for a granddaughter. !!!

Black cats were always tricky. I had a black cat named lucky. Best cat ever. Would say “Hi". Until you said it back. Big yellow eyes. I loved that cat. The best cats are those we are given He was a gift to my Mother and we loved him. I wish we could keep our animals. In good health also My dog tag is barely walking alone period. Harder to get him upstairs. Falling a lot. Swaying when he walks. No pain or wincing. We are watching. He follows us around. Still eating normally. For now can go outside with assistance inside sometimes It's seriously a full time job. We see what. Is coming at us I love this dog. If I could order a good dog it would be my Tag... we've had him for 12 years. Rescue. So we think he was 2 or almost 3 when we got him. I'm Not ready to let go of my day time pal. I'm already going batty, I'd loose one of quarantine crew!!!! 💔😢 part of my family.

Speaking of brother.... he's been moved to a

Rehab center. Last we face timed I could see the droop on the right side of his face and his speech. My mom Says speech is better. But can clench a fist bit then can't unclench it. Without manual help. He's walking with a. Cane to support the right side better. They aren't letting him go Now until, June 22 as of now. If he doesn't make much more progress. Then they will have to extend it. If he can't be alone at all. That's not good. We're all afraid it will happen again. Second episode in two years. First one was the widow maker. I don't know how he's even here. It sucks being far from family when all you want to do is run to them to let them know how much you care. I can't do that. I hate it. No one can. Talk about isolation. He's going crazy missing his wife and sons. Sometimes shit just sucks. Mucks and messes things all up.

I am sorry your brother is still struggling so much from his stroke. I can imagine how much you would miss your family when you can't see them and are trying to deal with the effects of what happened. My thoughts go out to you and your family. I also hope the pandemic gets to the point where people in hospital are able to see family again for real.

Hi to all on this Sunday afternoon. Quiet here (like always).

This morning I watched my church's service on Facebook as I have been doing for weeks. Today, the church had an outdoor service behind the building in a grassy area. People could bring lawn chairs. The singers and speaker was under a tent. Yes, our area is having some services but with restrictions. My church is not really adhering to those restrictions. I asked a member about the service after. Not many wore masks, visited with others so no social distancing. They might as well had the service inside versus outside. I was at home yet again. I feel it is too soon to be having these services. Still a smattering of COVID cases in my area. And with my white counts (increased infection risk or not with Ibrance use) I just don't feel comfortable in a crowd yet. When will I feel comfortable again??????

So home alone. Reading with MY cat on my lap this afternoon. Looked out at neighbor--- grandkids playing in the yard. Just kind of feel like separate from society anymore. I did get the haircut, but not really anything else since things opened up again. Between the virus still out there, and the hot summer weather, I just want to stay in my cool, safe house.

Minnie- Thinking of you with scans and results.

Tanya- Glad you found the kitten.

Mara- I love peanut butter cups---combo of peanut butter and chocolate. Yum.

Tomorrow is my repeat CBC after the saga. It better be good and I can continue with Ibrance and forget all the drama.

Candy, I am so excited to be able to eat these. I ate one today without the nausea drug, just the digestive enzyme. No problems whatsoever. Still not going to eat the whole bag, probably stick with one or two of the mini cups at a time. I am just so happy though.
