I've been on my self imposed bco break for the weekend but popping back in as I had a pm from someone
Tany, yes, I'm a zumbaholic! Been doing it for years now. I've been working out to Marlon Alves on YouTube. If I keep going at this pace might be able to join one of my old instructors' zoom live classes in Feb.
Good luck with scans tangandchris.
I scan on Thursday night at 7pm.
I guess I'm lucky though as I never wait for appointments! Haven't had a delay ever at my cancer center for chemo or MO visit. Bloodwork yes....but now they're by appointment too and also very fast.
I'm off to walk with dh and Olive. We were supposed to get snow but it's just cold rain. Oh well
Hugs everyone

So hubs had his cardio version on Wednesday and last nite slipped back into afib. Next step will be to put him on a new rx but that will require a hospital stay to monitor how he does. But more concerning is the fact that he has had swelling and severe pain in left calf for 6 weeks. No evidence of blood clot, but ultrasound and xray revealed air bubbles behind his knee, which radiologist cited as cellulitis. Cellulitis usually presents as skin infection and he has no cuts or scrapes on his leg. So I checked Dr Google, air bubbles can also be gangrene😳. Either way, will require biopsy and removal of affected tissue. May even require amputation. That scared the crap out of me! As I said b4, our specialty hospital is UW Madison, which is 90 minutes away. And we moved to this community of 5000 16 months ago and with COVID, have no friends to turn to for help. For those so inclined, I’m asking for prayers please.

Goldens- Prayers going up here.

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband Golden, holding you both in my heart and prayers.

Golden - Prayers for you and your hubby. Is it possible that an organization in your somewhat local area exists that offers some help? I live in a rural area but there is a group that tries to help those in need from medical situations from anything from gas cards, rides to appointments, medical equipment, building ramps, etc.

Golden-That sounds very scary. Prayers lifted.

Good vibes coming your way. I am so sorry. Sounds stressful. I hope they figure it all out and he will be just fine. Your family is on my mind.

Goldens, I will send prayers up for you and your husband. Hope they can resolve this without such drastic measures.

Goldens, good vibes coming your way for DH.

Goldens, I’m so sorry. Prayers up. My brother had blood clots twice that were thrown to his lungs. He’s the one that caught them both times. The doctors said no. Be extra vigilant in keeping an eye on the issue. I’m not quite certain I trust doctors much anymore. Hugs from here.

Goldens, I pray for skill and guidance for your husband’s medical team, strength, comfort, and a quick recovery for your husband, and love and support for you during this difficult time.
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Goldens, yikes, sorry to hear your news about your husband. He is a physician himself, iirc? What does he think of the leg situation? What a bummer that the cardioversion was not successful. Planning for an inpatient pharmacological cardioversion must be stressful with the distances and drives and the winter conditions and covid. Ugh. That's a lot on your plate. I hope you can get a plan and some assistance and sort this out quickly!

Thanks to all for your prayers and thoughts. He has an MRI this afternoon so that will help steer the course of treatment. Moth - yes he is a physician - does gynecology. He is certainly aware of the concern of the situation.
After I wrote my original post, I went to Facebook and one of the Christian sites I follow and read posted my favorite scripture from Philippians 4:7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God
I have a very strong faith and truly believe God speaks to us if we but listen.

Mel, how are you doing today?

Goldens, having faith can certainly be helpful for stressful situations. I certainly cannot say I am religious but I do believe in a higher power out there. I also have prayed when my cancer came about. Helped my mental health a lot and does whenever I need to talk.
I had a productive morning today, washed 3 pieces of bedding, walked an hour to pick up my burgers and did 20 dollars in surveys which is very unusual. I was happy about that, the walk was nice and feeling good now. I also had my CT scan 2 weeks ago now but no one has called me in to go over results, I take this to mean nothing is there still. I am feeling confident. I find out officially on the 3rd of Feb. My cancer centre would not wait this long to get ahold of me. I will still hope for pockets on the appointment day and will confirm results 100 percent when I get them.

SeeQ~Thanks for asking. I am still recovering and have some pain as well I’m guessing a deep bone bruise can last for quite sometime. I appreciate you remembering. Hope things are good with you as well. I did a little sewing today again. It’s therapeutic for me . sending hugs out to everyone.

Mel, I hope you recover soon. An injury in that location must make sitting a very uncomfortable thing to do.
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Goldens,
I love that verse. I will certainly pray for a good path forward, as it sounds like there may be more than one.

50's oh my ! Is so hard to sit. Even to roll over in bed. It's been a tricky week. Sitting is virtually imp for an amount of time. I have to keep moving. It's painful. It's also painful to stand up from a sitting position. I'm avoiding an X-ray. At all costs.

Sorry illimae, I'm having my coffee in front of the fireplace. In my head. Scans today. Results Thursday. Not sweating it and it's been a year! Feeling good in spite of tons of stress this year.
I'll get vaccine soon as I can. Meanwhile I'll continue to sit home and make quilts. Then I'll make more after the vaccine. Its very therapeutic.
Mel, I hope you don't find your injury is more serious. I fear falling in the snow. Some days I just have to get out for a walk. I really should get on that treadmill. No doubt that would help with the stress too. I've got the energy.
take extra care everyone

Goldens praying for best results for your DH.
Waving hello to all.
Did some repotting and went to cheap store nearby and got some more planters.
Moth I’m going to look for marlon alves
The towns painted red for the Bucks and upcoming Super Bowl. Not such a big football fan but have been surrounded with men who love it. I know the game and love the parties.

Mae, That room is fabulous. I’ll join the group there any time! The chairs are even kinda spread apart for our times of social distancing.
Kitty Kat, Your pic with your grandson is adorable. He looks like a charmer!
Mel, Sorry to hear you’re having so much pain in moving around. Good for you for doing some sewing. I’m sure it wasn’t very comfortable.
Mara, Count me in for pocket duty for your appointment day. I hope all is stable, of course. 🤞
Goldens, So sorry about DH’s difficulties. Sending best wishes that his leg is better soon (with treatment?) and that his Afib can also be treated soon.
I had a consult with an IR today and will be getting scheduled for microwave ablation of 2 liver mets fornext month. Hoping it’s the right decision. I also decided to go back to my water exercise class starting tomorrow. I quit going about Thanksgiving time when our Covid cases starting going crazy. It’s 2 days a week and I feel so much looser when I’ve been to a class, otherwise I’m stiff and achy. Ok, I’m still kind of stiff and achy even when I go, but I enjoy moving in the water.
Waving hi to everyone. I feel for those of you with tough days, happy for those doing well.

Good for Brady. Showing the management staff he was more than just an empty head. Congratulations Tanya!

Mara, I’m in your pocket for your appointment.
Mel, sorry you’re still in so much pain.
Hi to everyone else.

KBL<Just taught me not to break my ass! Ugh! Trying to be gentle when I sit, but how does one do that? I thought about a week. But not so sure it’s a week tomorrow, still have certain movements that isn’t happy. So I’m keeping a close eye on how long it continues. Sleep is difficult as well. As if I wasn’t already dealing with insomnia! Goodness gracious.

Mel, I hope the pain eases back soon for you to make your life easier. Take care of yourself

Mara~ thanks so much. It has eased some but it was so deep the bruise. I just can’t seem To move without pain yet. Just hope I didn’t break anything and don’t know it. That would suck bad. DH has said several times I should go. I’m waiting it out. I hate hospitals. Like we all honestly go enough and I’m sick of it! Thanks for caring my friend.

Mel, it might be best to listen to DH. My husband kept telling me to go get checked in November after our vacation when I thought I had a yeast infection. After trying to treat it myself, it turned out to be an allergic reaction to some wipes I had used. Ended up in the emergency room because I had made it much worse. It was not fun. It might be worth a quick few X-rays just to be sure.
