Hi to all!!
This is just a gentle reminder that this thread belongs to the Stage IV/Metastatic Breast Cancer ONLY forum, so we do ask that those not diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer respect the reserved nature of this forum.
If you have not been diagnosed but have questions about Stage IV Breast Cancer, you can certainly post in the following threads:
If you are not Stage IV but have questions you may post here'
Not diagnosed with a Recurrence or Metastases but concerned
If you are a caregiver or family member with a stage IV diagnosis, there is also a forum entitled: For family and Caregiver's with Stage IV.
Thank you for understanding!

Simone, that is awesome news. I have the same questions as Frisky. Also, were you doing FZ?

None of us mind that there are women here that are not stage IV, and some may be, but just haven't been diagnosed with it or changed their tagline. Maybe ask the mods to move it to "Alternative Medicine"? Or is that something the OP has to do?

Simone, how much of the COC protocol are you doing. Same question to anyone else doing it please.

Dear friends, the mods have kindly suggested to me (by PM) that I no longer publish in this thread. I love you all very much, see you in other threads.

Yes, we want to hear from everyone...
Mods, we discussed the issue of stage four vs everyone else a short while ago, and we all agreed that it's perfectly okay with us stage four gals...
Would it be possible to please remove the Stage 4 only label?
We share life and death information that can save the lives of people no matter what stage their cancer is in. Unfortunately, cancer progresses regardless of labels it’s given...plus, we are all undergoing conventional therapies, as it's recommended by the COC, so I don't see what the problem is....
Or would you rather, we start a whole new thread, on the exact same subject that's open to everyone?
Please advise...

Sonia, please don't leave yet, we need to just get this moved so all stages can post. I'll pm the mods and ask.

Thanks for the congrats everyone. I was quite emotional yesterday after ready the pet report. I can see my reports on the patient portal before my mo and I couldn't stop crying for some time.
JFL, I told my MO and she questioned why I was doing the protocol. Anyway, we're going to monitor my blood tests.
Frisky,
I've been rereading Jane's book going through her steps. She said that people should add high dose C iv with doxy after 2 weeks of starting doxy. cOC alternates mebedenzole with doxy each month. I will be switching to doxy in about a week. She also said at least 3 c iv. I'll finish up the kill phase then go into maintenance.
I am not planning on staying in the CO C protocol forever. I haven't decided how much longer I'll take it. I would like to get my TM < 10. If the Tm go up I would start taking the pills again.
I am also planning on contacting Dr Block to advise me on what supplements and diet can help me stay ned.

Goldie,
Coc perscribes metformin, mebendazole, doxy, and a statin. You alternate the mebendazole with doxy monthly. I also added some supplements and diet Jane recommends in her book. I did not cover all the pathways but the coc protocol covers a lot of them.

Simone we are all so grateful for the info you're providing, may you continue to stay NED for the rest of your days...
We will keep on following the threads you post and to know how you're doing. Consulting with MD Block is a great idea
There's an NED thread you might want to join...we can easily keep up with you there, IF NECESSARY, hopefully, this stage 4 only debacle will be cleared up soon...
I'm using Doxil as the kill phase of my program. I remember reading on Jane 's book about using low amounts of chemo to finish the job...
From now on, I will start alternating the doxy and the statin....thank you so much

I messaged the moderators to see about moving the thread.

Simone one more thing...how much doxy and statin have you been prescribed??
Im currently taking 100mg doxy and 40mg statins

Hi Frisky,
You would alternate between the doxy and feben if you are not taking mebenazole. I've read on Jane's fb group some people are taking fen Ben for 4 days then 3 days of doxy.

Thanks Frisky. I'm still going to follow all of you. I really want all of you to succeed.
here are the dosages
First 2 weeks
Metformin 500mg in the morning with breakfast
Metronidazole 100mg in the morning with breakfast or lunch
Atorvastatin 40 mg at night
After 2 weeks
Metformin 500mg with breakfast, 500 mg with dinner
Mebendazole 100mg with breakfast or lunch. Alternate with Doxycyline. Month 1 take mb, month 2 take foxy and so forth.
Atorvastatin 80mg at night

doxy is 100mg

Is the Metronidazole typically part of the protocol, or was it added to your case in particular

I think it was a mistake - simone must have meant mebendasole

Sonia, I hope the situation clears up soon and we can return to supporting each other....I will, however, search your name and follow you wherever you end up posting. I care about you and hope you too are NED soon! Good luck my dear friend

Ditto. By the way , Frisky, for all we know sonja may be NED already - it is not a given that her lymph node has cancerous cells in it.I will check where Yndorian posts:)

Frisky, the moderators have allowed me to continue posting in this thread. Apparently there were complaints but I don't know if they were specifically about me. I would love to know, to not bother anyone again ... I sincerely believe that the "holistic" tx discussed here are not a matter of stages. I mean... I have never opined when you talking about Ibrance, Y90, Xeloda ... but the COC protocols, or Fenbendazole ... or any other holistic treatment ... I can't share and ask about information just because I am not IV stage... COC protocol is for all stages, isn't it? Now I am confusing and a little uncomfortable. This thread was one of the best things that happened to me in bco. I love you all!

Sonia, lets be happy the problem is resolved....we are a very happy family here, and like you said cancer knows no labels...please continue to post...
it must have been a general complaint made by someone that was triggered and got very upset—for whatever reason....many are the ways of the Lord—at the first hint that the COC is working...maybe it has something to do with a death wish...I don't know enough about psychology to diagnose this very strange case.
The result is that we have been concentrating on fixing the problem, instead of digesting and utilizing the good news...kind of like politics these days, this too shall pass, and Simone has kindly provided all the info we need about her protocol we can apply ourselves—with doctors of course...these are prescription drugs!! For God's sake!
Mods are wise and understood our concerns. Bravo Mods! Let's all give a round of applause and express our gratitude to the Mods! I say: Long live the beautiful and wise Mods!

Thank you Goldie and Frisky for supporting the earlier stage women who post in this thread. And thanks to the mods for accomodating the feelings of the gorup.
As I shared earlier, as a regular reader here, I find their contributions valuable and their posts supportive of our Stage IV concerns.
I think as long as people are being respectful and mindful of the unique Stage IV issues it is fine to have them join in on topics that are relevant to all of us. The ladies here do exactly that.
Love to all, I will resume lurking

You're welcome Olma! Yes, MOs are very bright and understand we are all, only trying to survive this dreadful disease....
Santa, I don't remember, did you consult the COC yourself and what type of protocol they assigned you? its important for us to understand if there's any personalization in their protocols. I am currently under the supervision of my primary physician....so I feel safe...but it's good to compare how much is individualized, and how much is about blocking the major pathways: glycemic, glutamic, and fatty acids...

I see the moderators deleted their post, but have not answered my PM to them. So I guess we are a go for those that are not stage IV?

Yes Goldie, actions speak louder than words...and the Mods are smart and have unequivocally spoken.
it's safe to go back in the water...
