    you two look great ,Nicol!

Snooky , do you think it is a coincidence that the issue with healthcare has been resolved a day before headaches have resolved ?

Snooky, the mysteries of our bodies. Glad the headaches are gone and you got the Medicare.

Nicole, you look absolutely stunning and beautiful. And such a good looking couple.

Frisky, always anxious to hear results from everyone of us. I get scans on the 24th, but only nuclear bone, as I had CT in July.

I miss Sonya, just as the rest of you. Praying she is ok and only taking a break.

(Odd, my younger brother was a 30 year lifer and I never heard one word about balls! Wishing you the very best this coming Monday,

Anotherone, Good question. I wondered the same. Stress can do odd things to you. And having cancer with no insurance is right up there on the stress level. I have an eye appt this afternoon, just covering all bases.

    Happy Friday to all

    Hi all,

    I have a Dec 3 Pet scan scheduled...so we'll soon find out what's up....

meanwhile I'm sitting here eating a delicious Italian ciabatta sandwich of fresh mozzarella cheese and Genova salami...my favorite comfort food...as I wait to get my Doxil infusion ...

The hospital is PACKED! Never seen it like this..there must be a cancer epidemic going on...

Frisky, I'm jealous. I want that sandwich. Hope your infusion goes well.

It's so funny Snooky..I can only get it when I come to this hospital...the Italian delicatessen is right next door and the owner, a Sicilian man, told me that he loved me this morning...

I think he knows I'm coming in for treatment and it's his way to say he's sorry I'm so sick...I speak to him in Italian and his eyes get very big and moist from the joy ....

    Goldie,

I hope your scan turns out to be good news too.

thank you all for your good wishes...I'm finally back home...it turned out to be on all day affair, delays due to the dose lowering of Doxil...but I'm all pumped up on steroids with nowhere to go...I wish I had the ingredients for baking something fun, but that's not the case right now...unless I get REALLY CREATIVE

will have to see a cardiologist that might help explain the sudden dangerously lowering or raising of my BP....let me take a wild guess....hummm....after many thousands of $$$$$ worth of tests I'll be told to take salt pills whenever that happens...and to not eat salty things when it's up...

it's a once a month out of the blue phenomenon...( in my view associated with the damage of Doxil on my heart) but they don't admit se...not even the ones posted on the medication...

Disassociation is a wonderful coping mechanism....sometime I wish I could go back to that deep state of unconsciousness....

The power of steroids...after a four hour long FaceTime with my best friend in Italy, I'm proceeding with the improvisation of baking something sweet...something unthinkable only yesterday...

Im starting with this....I'm not kidding I've had that squash for the past two months and didn't know what to do with it...I would get exhausted just looking at it...image

I processed only half...didn't want to have to throw out too much food....

    image

Twenty minutes of roasting with lemon juice, raisins, butter, stevia and water, and I then added goat cheese, sliced apples..nuts .and spices...

    image

Ready to go in the oven for the finale...

    image

I checked the lab results...nothing much has changed with the tumor markers...whatever I'm doing is keeping things in checks..I think the liver markers are deteriorating but not enough to get flagged...and I don't understand those numbers at all.. humm I smell the baked apples, cinnamon and butter...let's see what we have here...

    image

Dinner time...I wish I could be sharing this experiment with you all!

Amazing results...somehow the lemon juice, the fat from the cheeses and the sweetness of the fruit and vegetables are all balanced...good enough for Le Bernadin..

I feel pleasantly full with no need to eat more which means this meal was well balanced, and although sweet and delicious is not raising my insulin levels....very good for me!

"You'll never catch me dying": living with stage four cancer. | Jen Sot...

    mind on steroids around midnight...

uplifting Ted Talk...not about MBC but about Metastatic deadly cancer and Immunetheraphy sweet/bitter results for this woman...and her coping mechanisms...

12.30 am still going strong...and watching that video became more satisfying while eating this yummy sandwich...You need to eat more vegetables my mind on steroids told me...but it all started with the visuals of the toasted sourdough bread...and the rest—like they say—was history!

I could get used to this....I might opt for weekly infusions next...

Frisky, the squash/apple baked dish looks so good! As for the sandwich, I am amazed and impressed that THAT is the type of sandwich you throw together at 12:30 in the morning. I was assuming it was a slab of meat, cheese and bread, maybe some mayo (given the time). Wow, the sandwich looks so tasty and healthy as well. I have commenced my PET scan fast and am feeling hungry!

JFL...I prepared the roasted peppers day's ago....dressed with all the proper spices and put the jar in the refrigerator...there’s enough raw garlic in there to keep Dracula away...

Good luck tomorrow...everything will be alright!

You have plenty of time to eat something...pet is only a six hours fast...

Dog medicine goes viral in South Korea over claims it cures human cancer

    https://www.scmp.com/news/asia/east-asia/article/3037893/dog-medicine-goes-viral-south-korea-over-claims-it-cures-human

Interesting article about shortages of the FZ and how fears are mounting in the cancer medical complex over people dropping chemo for a $5 treatment....

Mind on steroids, slept between 4am and 6 am....good to go without coffee....

In anticipation of my Pet on Dec 3 I have decided to stop the doxycycline and switch to the FZ now...but will be taking 2gms 4 on 3 off because I'm afraid I'm going to runout and the gouging on amazon is insane...there are people asking $60 for one gram package...

Actually, I know what I'll do...when I runout, I will ask my primary physician to prescribe the menbendazole...or whatever it's called...that should up an end to the problem....

This morning I'm taking it after consuming a fatty breakfast of fried eggs and melted fresh mozzarella cheese that would make any dog extremely happy

Frisky, Petmeds.com has better prices but alas, they are sold out except for the 1gram packages which are 8.??

The odd thing about amazon, the prices are all over the place. And after they display all the sellers of Panacur, they go right into vit E and curmin which are also high priced.

There's also Safeguard which is also FZ that's somewhat less expensive.

Frisky, dare I say enjoy the energy burst. When my wife took prednisone she started an epic housecleaning.

Tumor markers steady is nothing to be sneezed at. The squash looks delicious. We grow spaghetti squash and butternut squash in our garden. If all else fails, those plants grown and produce.

JFL, good results on those scans!

Frisky, I've been getting mine from bestvetcare.com. They are in the UK I think.

Leaving tomorrow for a glamping trip to Moab, be back Wednesday afternoon.

    Love and Huggles to everyone!

    Thoughts are with Mike.
