Kamboka, Yes, I do. I don't have any bids on it, yet. Did they pay for the microphone?
mocame, I love to big bags of stuff. You never know what you are going to get. I had a bracelet similar to the watch band. It was gold, but the metal was very light weight and fragile. I have had similar ones that were gold plate. They were much heavier. I have a gold and silver test kit. It uses acid and a scratching square. (not sure what it is called) I take something that I want to find out what is and rub it on the square, then put a drop of acid on it. The acids are marked 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K. If it is gold the scratch will not disappear, if not it goes away. I use the 18K to test silver. If it is sterling silver it turns blue. Also sterling silver and solid gold will not attract to a magnetic. Many fake silver pieces do. When I am out junking. I carry a magnetic. You can buy a kit on ebay.
I am going to an estate sale today.

I read online that I needed to send the payer an invoice. I thought it was automatic but I guess the 'best offer' is different. Anyways, I did that and the person paid shortly afterward. Mailed it today. I still have 65 items to sell. I might be going overseas in a few weeks and if I don't get busy and sell something, I'll have to either remove the listing or put vacation.

Glad to see the site back up but looks like it might be in and out. Every time I have to sign in and forget my user name and password. Too many passwords. Got word this week that I might have to go overseas for a month. I'm still working on my documents for the trip so it might be two weeks before that happens.

Kamboka, I am glad this is back up. I missed our messages. If you are going for a month, you can put it on vacation or just end all listings. I have done both. I am glad the person paid. I have had several no pays. My sales seem to be slowing down, especially the Sterling. Unique and signed vintage costume seems to be doing OK.

petite1: On the old format, I was always signed in. On this one, I have to sign in all the time. I forgot my password and gave up till today. I looked in to the vacation mode and it says you have to have a store. I don't know if I can sell that much to afford the fees but might change my mind. I did list four small pictures last week for auction. I research and I started the bid at $365. I had someone immediately want to buy but I'm keeping it on auction till Tuesday. I paid $40 for them at an estate sale. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it works out. I'm still working on getting my work trip off the grounds and approved. With government, it could take forever. I'm hoping to go the week of the 11th. My brother will come and housesit for a bit while I'm gone. When I traveled in the past, I didn't have a house to worry about.

Sorry that I haven't been on here for a while. I had been putting in long days at work for a couple of weeks. Ebay has finally started picking up for me the past week and a half. In the past week, I've sold 7 things which is a lot for me. I currently have 118 items listed. I did try and get into this system the other day and couldn't. I guess that's when they were having issues with it.
Kamboka - I don't have a store and put my listings on vacation when I go away. The only problem is they drop you low in their algorithm and it takes a little while to get your listings to get higher and sales to start rolling in after you take it off of vacation mode. If you were only going to be away for a week or two, you could increase your handling time and then it wouldn't affect your listings as much. But I don't think you can do it as long as a month? Also, you don't have to send an invoice when it's Best Offer. They send it for you but with Best Offer, the buyer has 3 or 4 days to pay instead of having to pay immediately. I've never had a buyer not pay with a Best Offer.
Petite1 - I did take a magnet to it but I don't have one that I can take along with me. Buying jewelry makes me nervous because I know nothing about it.
It has been warm here 50s to 70s. But yesterday and today it's back into the 30s and windy! It is 21 degrees right now. My poor flowers.

Kamboka, Good luck with the travel. It has been a long time since you traveled, hasn't it. I think we have been on this website since 2019 and I don't remember you traveling at that time.
mocame, Good sales. I finally sold most of the stuff I got from Mount Dora. I think there are 2 pieces left.

I haven't done international travel since my cancer diagnosis in January 2019. In fact, I was in Nigeria when I was diagnosed. I think I'm excited but really dread the long flight with a mask. The shortest travel time is 19 hours and that doesn't count the time I have to travel to get to DC to start the trip. I have to go to DC this Thursday to get a work ID. Mine expired 18 months ago. I wanted them to give me two weeks notice but they didn't so I'm having to pay more than necessary to get there.
I'm learning so much from both of you about Ebay. Isn't it weird that we are the three left on this site and all of us do thrift shopping and reselling. I didn't sell anything in the last week.
I'm always trying to see if my items are authentic--jewelry, painting, etc. I have a couple of jeweler loops that I have to use to see the fine print. Even with my readers, I sometimes have to pull the magnifiers out to see.

Kamboka - When do you leave for your trip? Will you be able to post here while you are gone?
Just when I say that sales picked up...They stopped. I haven't sold anything since Friday night. But the big news is that I made Top Rated Seller on ebay! Woohoo! I know it's not a huge deal but I'm excited because I work so hard to sell a nice product and give good customer service. Hoping to be able to keep that up so I have less fees I have to pay. Although, I do have a return for an electronic item that they say didn't work even though I tested it multiple times before listing. It's been a week and he hasn't actually shipped it back yet so we will see what happens. Only my 2nd return and the 1st return was due to the customer using the wrong battery and it didn't work because of that. I just resold it again later and have had no complaints.

mocame, I hate returns. Most of the stuff I sale is cheap and I don't bother with a return, I just refund it. Why return a $2 items when shipping is between $3-$4? Luckily that doesn't happen that often.
Kamboka, I hope you can keep in touch while you are gone.

mocame: Congratulations! What is the criteria to get to that? I don't think I'll ever get there with one sale a month.
I will have internet there but will not be taking my personal computer. Hope I don't forget all my sites and log in info. I'm hoping that I can postpone until after Easter but not sure. I need to be back before the end of May so that I can arrange my family reunion last minute things. I'm working on food now. the prices are going up so I'm having to think differently about what I'm serving. I have a reception that I'll probably do pizza. then we have a picnic at the beach, a family meeting and a bus trip with snacks. I also don't have my t-shirt design done. I'm not artistic and was hoping somebody else would help me but nothing yet.

Yard work today. The poor Bird of Paradise was trimmed to about 3'. It was about 12' to 16' tall. At least it isn't dead and should come back, but it will take years. 27 degrees is "goner" for it and we got to 26 degrees twice. We have some new growth. My wonderful lady that helps me, did most of the difficult stuff and her husband helped with the trees.
I have a couple nice pieces, including a Miriam Haskell, that I will be selling on ebay. I am not sure if I should do buy it now or auction. I would wait until my busy season, but it is Spring colors.

petite1: I lost my hibiscus plant when we had that one night of high 20s. Only one small branch near the ground trying to grow. I tried to trim it back weeks ago hoping that would help but I need to buy a new plant. I really am not much of a gardener.
So far, I have two bids for my paintings. The auction ends tomorrow. I think I have a Miriam Haskell in my jewelry that I'm keeping for a bit. She has some nice pieces. Good luck with your sale.
I'm flying up to DC tomorrow for the day. It's a long day. Leaving for airport by 5am and not getting back till 10:15. It's supposed to rain all day here and there so will be cooler. At least I will only have one more day when I get back and then it's the weekend.

Kamboka, Have a safe and pleasant trip.

I got back last night at about midnight. It was a long day in which the "govt was the govt". Nothing went as it should and I almost was going to leave with nothing done. Luckily, someone helped facilitate things and I managed to get what I needed done. There are three buildings that I had to go to with the last one being the job I had two years ago and had not been able to go back to claim my office belonging. I had a nice but short visit with an old colleague and found some interesting things in my desk--also two nice pairs of black shoes. I had to stuff as much as I could into some sacks and my backpack. The flight was supposed to leave at 8 but was delayed 1 1/2 hours on the tarmac. I really do hate flying. I love road trips.
Some good news when I got home and checked my emails. My painting that I had on auction and listed for $365 sold yesterday for $770. I'm so excited. They paid and I packed them today in some nice colored tissue paper and bubble wrap and mailed off. This was beyond my expectations. I hope he is happy with it and I don't have to do any refunds. One of the guys on Ebay that I had been chatting with about my paintings last week sent me a note. He said that he wished he had bid more to win them. (so do I). Now, I really need to get busy trying to find some more treasures at my estate sales. I paid $40 for the four of them. Tonight I've been lowering prices and want to add another two sets of prints for auction. They will not bring anything like these pictures did. My trip overseas is still on but it will probably have to be after Easter. It takes 10 business days to get my visa back, minimum.

petite1: was at an estate sale and saw these.

Kamboka - Vera Bradley! Congratulations on your paintings! That's awesome! I wish I had high dollar sales like that. A high dollar sale for me is anything over $30. LOL.
Petite1 - I have no idea what those flowers/trees(?) look like. I've heard of them but have never seen them. I do not have a green thumb so the bushes, trees, and flowers at my house are mainly easy to maintain and perennials.
I wish I knew more about jewelry and purses like you two do. My ebay sales have been a rollercoaster the past few weeks. I have been listing something every day and in the past 5 days, I've sold 8 items. Yay! I'm hosting Easter for my husband's family and need to get as much stuff out of the house as possible. My kids will also be home and my daughter's bedroom is where I have a lot of my listed items stored.

Kamboka, Wow, that is fantastic. These paintings were a great find. Vera Bradly. I thought I would never get them all sold. LOL I was in a pawn shop, that I do more selling than buying and he had a big box of them with the original tags on them. My friend was digging through them, but I didn't even look. My sales were pretty good this weekend. I did list the Miriam Haskell necklace starting at $79.00. I think there is one watcher, but no bids.
mocame, they look similar to a banana tree. I had a photo that I posted, but can't seem to find it. I don't have a green thumb either. My fake plants even fall apart. LOL Hope you can sell a bunch of stuff, so your daughter gets her room. Under bed storage works well for me.
My grand nephew and his wife came for a visit, Monday. We had a great time.

mocame: At least your sales are steady most of the time. I had a drought and then sold the pictures. Last night I got a sale of my Fossil tote bag. That got a great deal. This morning someone bought one of my ceramic vases. They are low dollar but every bit helps. My sister, mom and myself are planning an eight western state tour this fall. I need to save my pennies--or rather, I need to sale some pennies! I sure wish Easter was an official national holiday. All the other countries I've worked in celebrate Good Friday and Easter Monday.
petite1: Good luck with the Miriam Haskell. I just bought a Judith Ripka ring on auction today. I have so much jewelry and I don't even wear it. I need to start selling when I get back from my work trip. The govt bureaucracy is so slow and I'm still jumping through hoops trying to get this trip together. It now looks like the week of the 18th at the earliest.
I bought a honeysuckle tree this weekend. I was going to pull up the hibiscus that I thought was dead but the nursery lady said that she thinks it might come back. I do have some green at the very bottom. I'll see how it does this summer and then change out in the fall if it's not back.
I've got about seven estate sales to hit this weekend. I'm starting to focus more on things that I think can resell. Although, I need to clean out my bedroom before July or I'll have to box things up. I don't have a bed in the room so can't hide them.

This weekend is the "Great American Yard Sale" on US 19. Way back it would go all along 19, but now I think it is just localized. Last time I got some nice stuff for resale and hope I can score once again.

Today, I sold some figurines and some silver plated utensils. Not much but still a sale. I took three boxes to the post office. I'm on a little roll but those sales all came from me sending out offers. I don't have any more watchers on my 60 items. I got another offer for something on auction but I'm going to let the auction play out.

Kamboka, Great. I have some no pay or slow pay people. We are having some rain before the cold front movies in.

The food truck is supposed to be here at 5pm and, of course, we have a major thunder cloud descent. I am an early eater so will have to find something in the kitchen.
I still hate this new system. It makes me sign in everyday and I can't remember my password for day to day. There are just so many passwords. then when I get into the site, it takes a bit of maneuvering to find the "my favorites".
Somebody bought one of my little purses but haven't paid yet.

Yesterday we nearly had a major disaster. We had a small fire in the office. All my shipping boxes, bubble wrap, tissue paper and supplies smell like smoke. I had to take down drapes and wash them, clean floors, walls, etc. The biggest loss is all the supplies. I had just received 100 padded envelopes. I will have to repack the jewelry. Those in boxes stink. That is probably 50 boxes. I had ordered more boxes which arrived after the fire. I am not sure if the old ones can be salvaged. The burnt plastic smell is not pleasant. I have cleaned about 50%. I was going to go to the Great American Yard sale, but canceling that. The good thing, one second later would have been a major fire, so we were lucky. We felt so lucky we bought a scratch off and won $100. That will pay for replacement shipping supplies. We are feeling very thankful.

petite1: That is so scary. What started the fire? Sounds like you caught it early. Did you have to call the fire department? I think the hassle of regrouping is probably harder that having to fork out the money to rebuy supplies. So happy you won the money. Last week I was feeling lucky and bought about $20 worth of tickets. I like Bingo and Crossword. Didn't win a single thing. Normally, I get a free ticket. Today, I had another picture sell well at auction. I hit two estate sales today and grabbed a few goodies. I drove all the way to St. Augustine and didn't realize it was a real auction and not a house estate sale. I got there late so decided not to even go in. I ended up at Buckee's to get my favorite Rice Krispy treats. It was worth the gas to get there. Today, the weather has been sunny and nice and crisp with wind. I love it.

Kamboka, My husband violated the smoking policy and caught the trash can on fire. He no longer has a trash can and I took away his ashtray.
0 -
petite1: Oh my, that is scary. That could have been a disaster. Well, I guess it is sort of one as you have to regroup with all your supplies. Today, I sold a set of glass decorations. I'm still waiting on my departure date so that I can end my listing or do the vacation. I'm leaning towards ending and putting them back later.

Kamboka, It was a pretty good ebay weekend. The Miriam Haskell necklace didn't sell, so I lowered the starting bid. I hate packing breakables. I have had so many that broke during shipping. I have about 18 things to ship today. Several are combined orders. One person has 9 and 4 have 2 things. The rest are single items.
0 -
Wow, 18 sales. That's great. I haven't had multiple sales to the same person. How do you handle the shipping costs as it's cheaper to put some things together?0 -
Petite1 - Wow! I'm glad the fire wasn't worse! I wish I could sell 18 items! I had someone contact me a couple of times about a heavy item (my most expensive listing) and asked if I could put the option of shipping it UPS on the item. I changed it and let them know...They didn't buy it and haven't heard from them again. Grrrr!
Kamboka - It sounds like you are selling more too! That's great! I hope you can get your trip finalized soon. I don't like living in limbo.
It was sunny and in the 70s yesterday! Woohoo! Today it's supposed to get to around 80. I have been so busy with work, my kids going through stuff at college, and getting ready for Easter. I'm hosting my husband's family for Easter and at one point I had 24 people coming and now I'm down to 14-17. I have a small house, so we were trying to figure out how to fit so many people into it. My family gets together tonight.
I saw my PS last week and everything looks good. I have been putting lotion on my radiated side every day since radiation stopped 2 1/2 years ago. Because I'm now 1 1/2 years out from my surgery replacing my implants, he said I can now stop putting lotion on if I want to. It won't benefit me anymore.
