mocame, Since my packages are little, 1 ounce to 4 ounces is the same price. I still used the lotion, but I use it everywhere (just about).

I hope you had a wonderful Easter! I had a busy week of work and then had to spend a few days cleaning and making food for Easter. I bunch of people couldn't come so I ended up with 17 people. It was a great time.
Kamboka - I've never seen a tulip like that! Beautiful! Ours are the traditional ones.
I've had decent sales lately. I sell at least 1 item most days. I did stop by a yard sale on Friday that I didn't plan on. Bought a few things. I wanted to go on Saturday but held myself back! LOL! I have a ton of stuff already that I haven't listed yet.

mocame: Glad that your Easter social went well. I was invited to my neighbors but decided not to go when we had thunderstorms starting after noon. I wanted shrimp but my favorite restaurant was closed. there were several stores and restaurants closed. I was surprised. I've not had any sales this week. I've sent out two offers but will have to take down my listings this week. I think I'm almost set for my work trip on Monday. On the one hand, I'm excited about a trip but on the other, I'm worried about my house.
BTW, the flower is not a tulip, it's a Dutch iris. I got them confused. It's the only flower that survived out of the $160 I spent on flowers in 2020.

mocame, What all do you buy at the yard sales? My sales have been down. It could be the season, inflation, or people are going out and doing things, not online shopping.
Kamboka, I hope you have a pleasant work trip. Send us a note when you can.

Kamboka - I hope your trip goes well too! How long will you be gone?
Petite1 - I buy almost anything at yard sales, except really big stuff. I've bought children's encyclopedias, Tupperware, books, toys, household items, tv remotes, linens, craft supplies, etc. My favorite things to sell/buy are vintage toys and children's books. As soon as I say that sales were decent, then it goes down. LOL. I haven't had a sale since Saturday. Although, I haven't listed every day due to being busy over the Easter weekend.

mocame, I had an ebay disaster and shipped something to the wrong buyer. OOPS

I'm still working on getting all my ducks in a row for my trip Monday. If the powers that be don't get it straight tomorrow, I risk not getting to go on Monday. The problem is that the flight I need only goes on Mondays. I've postponed for two weeks d/t bureaucracy. It's so frustrating. I can't complete all my prep until I know for sure when I'm going. I need to take down all my offerings and was planning to do that today but now I will wait till tomorrow. I sold a ship barometer thingy yesterday.
mocame: I had a few vintage toys but they haven't sold yet. I have a few vintage mickey mouse and betty boop items.
petite1: I hope you can get your misdirected package back to the right person.

Petite1 - I hope you got the shipping worked out. That is always my fear!
Kamboka - I hope you are able to leave today. It sounds like a stressful time for you.
I am thinking of stop selling on ebay after I get rid of everything I have in my house to sell. It is consuming too much of my time and for what? Sales have been DEAD the past week and I only sold 1 thing and that was at a discount. I'm busy at work and I'm not getting stuff done at home. I enjoy doing it but it takes up too much of my time for the amount of money I earn. We will see. Maybe when I retire I can do it to help bring in some additional money. Until then I need to sell a lot of stuff that is in my house.

Kamboka, I hope you can get all the trip arrangements worked out. I think unusual things are selling on ebay. I noticed there are less views and watchers. I think people are doing other things and not online shopping. Plus the economy.
mocame, The person I think I sent it to is not responding. The personal that I refunded is OK with it. It was a Victorian sash pin. Both buyers bought Victorian stuff and that is how I mixed it up. I won some lots on Dudley's auction and one lot has a sash pin in it. I will offer it to the person that didn't get it, before others.

mocame: you sound like me with the frustration from all the work and not selling much. I took down all my things instead of using the vacation. Maybe when I relist later, I'll get more responses. I'm going to reach out to another auction house to see if they can get my stuff that is not so valuable. The valuable stuff, I'll list and the really cheap stuff I'll try to sell in my next garage sale this Fall.
My funding was still not approved as of Friday so I had to rebook for another flight this coming Saturday. This is my fourth change. Now that it's been delayed again, I can't stay the full month. I need to get back before the end of May so I can start working on my family reunion activities.
I have spent all day trying to clean out my hot tub for the millionth time. I've had so much trouble keeping it clean. I've cleaned it at least four times in the last six months and haven't used it once. My BIL told me I need to fill it up and chloronate it and then cover it. The last times, I left it dry and that built up 'stuff' in the pipes.

Kamboka, I never had a hot tub, but the pool gets cleaned biweekly. Of course water stays in it with chemicals. It does sound like a lot of work.
0 -
petite1: If I had a pool, I'd hire someone to clean it. There are no people who want to do hot tub cleaning. I had to the hardest time when I first moved in to find someone to do a deep cleaning and let me know what I needed to do. This afternoon I spent an hour trying to clean the top of my 'new' topper that had mold or mildew, already. The worse part is that my hot tub is against three sides so I can walk around it to do any cleaning. I think they built the patio around the hot tub. If I could walk around it to clean it, life would be easier.

Kamboka, if the pump ran a little everyday, would that help keep it clean?
The stuff I won from Dudley's auction had some good finds. One is a signed Native American piece that should pay for the entire lot.

petite1: I look forward to seeing how your Dudley finds work out. I wen to their website and it looks like May is mainly open air markets. I'll see when the next online auction happens.
My trip got pushed back to Monday. I can't believe how slow these people are. The urgency will be gone by the time I get there.
My BIL had some rental homes and he said they just covered the hot tub during off season and didn't have a problem. I'll see in a month when I open the covering.

I went hiking in the Withlacoochee Forest with one of my BFF's. She had never seen the caves. We did not do the entire cave hike, it takes about 6 hour, but did seem some.

Lovely caves and glad you got out with your friend. (But, I'm not loving the graffiti.)
Trying to get all my ducks in a row for Monday. This is my first trip in many years where I've had a house or apartment to worry about. Luckily I have some good observant neighbors.
I won't have my personal computer so I'm cautiaus as to what I do on my work computer. I'll try to check in sometimes during my time out.

Kamboka, No, I don't like the graffiti. It is a shame. On the the caving and hiking websites, everyone says the samething. Ever notice that Google or the word police don't care for compound words. The computer underlined samething, as if it was misspelled. LOL Have a safe and productive trip. I look forward to hearing from you when you return.

Hello, Ladies! Sorry that I've been missing. I've been working long days and my daughter graduates this Saturday (in the predicted pouring rain) and my son comes home from college today. It's been crazy.
I haven't listed hardly anything this week because I've been too busy but I've had 3 sales. Weird. Earlier I listed every day and only had 1 sale in two weeks!
Kamboka, I hope your trip goes well.
Petite1 - I've never hiked in a cave! I'm not sure whether I would like that or not. Are they large or would I get claustrophobic?
0 -
mocame, We didn't go into the caves, we just looked at them. Years ago, Jim and I went into them, but we were much younger. My sales have been OK for the last weekend. I am still waiting on one no pay. You sound like you are busy with family plans. Sounds like fun. Jim has a doctor appointment today. He lost hearing in his left ear. He has a cardiologist appointment on Friday.

Hi, Just wanted to quickly weigh in.
I had a long 30 something hour journey but luckily none of the airlines required masking and I was lucky to get an empty seat beside me to stretch out on both my long hauls. I don't usually get jetlag so am doing well. Hotel is nice but no microwave. Everything is really expensive here so I'm trying to eat snacks and cheap stuff to save money. I brought lots of stuff to buy me some time. The cheapest thing on the hotel menu is a $23 grilled cheese sandwich! During the week, the food at work is great so that helps. The hotel does have a nice breakfast that is included. I went to a supermarket and bought some cheese slices and bread. This is where I miss the microwave as I'd love to have it hot.
Anyways, the internet is weak so some streaming is slow. The TV channels are mostly in Portuguese but they have a few English stations running old TV shows and old movies.
I'm enjoying being back after seven years. All the old hands at work remember me and it's fun to catch up on their lives.

Petite1 - I hope your husband's dr appointments go well.
Kamboka - Wow! I can't imagine that long of travel time. I'd be exhausted. How long will you be there? I hope the rest of your trip goes well.
Well, sales have picked up. I have sold 6 things in the past week, but I have lost my joy of doing it. I have too many other things going on that I just don't have time to do it, nor the drive to. My son came home from college on Thursday and my daughter graduated from college on Saturday. I've been working long hours too. We got over 3 1/2 inches of rain between Friday and Saturday. Because of that, they changed my daughter's graduation to indoors and limited the # of people who could be there. After trying to figure out who could go and who couldn't, we ended up having to uninvited everyone to graduation. We could not, and would not, choose between grandparents who would go and who wouldn't. Just not fair to anyone. So, it ended up just my husband and I going. Sad but we will make it up to the family somehow. They did get to see it via livestream. She will now be moving home because situations with roommates changed for now so she cannot get an apartment for at least a few months. So, we will have both kids home for at least 3 months. Oh boy.

Kamboka, Good to hear from you. A 30 hour flight must be so exhausting. Did have to have a mask on the entire time? Is there markets where you can get healthy foods? Keep us posted when you get a chance.
mocame, My sales were pretty good this weekend. I only list on the weekend and sometimes I get tired of it. When I have interesting items, i enjoy it again. A while back, just before BC, I closed it down for a few months. I only listed a few buy it now pieces. I had an ebay stalker that I was avoiding. I blocked them and didn't do any auctions. They went away. I went to an estate sale Saturday and some nice stuff, but also had to buy the not so nice stuff. It was cheap enough to sell the good stuff and donate or put in a big lot for sale the items I don't care for.
My husband had solidified wax in his ear and it has been removed. He is like a new man. He had his annual cardiac ultrasound and loss another 5 %, unfortunately. He has been dealing with CHF since 2009. I am thankful to have had him for another 13 years, only by the grace of God and good medical practice. In July 2009, the doctor told him to get his things in order. We went to Mayo Clinic and they saved his life. Second options do matter.

Petite! - Wow! I'm so glad your husband got the help he needed at the Mayo Clinic back then. That sounds like it was a scary/stressful time. And your ebay stalker sounds scary and I can't believe you had to take a break just for them to leave you alone. People are crazy.
I've only been listing a few things a week and only sold 1 or 2 things all week. I actually donated a number of items to a local thrift shop today. I decided I didn't want to deal with them. I did pick up a few freebies at a yard sale that do sell well and are easy listers. I took my daughter yard saleing this weekend because she is looking for cheap books to help supply her future classroom. I didn't buy anything else to sell so I am happy with my will power. My work continues to be busy and stressful and it doesn't sound like that will be changing any time soon.
On another topic, I am starting to plan another trip to Disney World for May of 2023. This time it will be with just my 19 (then 20) year old son. So excited!

mocame, I had a pretty good ebay weekend. I shipped 21 little packages. When I have good stuff that I like, it is fun to do ebay. When it is stuff I don't care for, it is not as fun. LOL I am not much of a Disney World visitor. I went when it first opened and maybe once or twice after that. (about 50 years ago) My niece, who is 51, loves Disney World and all the other places in Orlando. I think she gets season passes or some type of discount.

Hi, I've got one more week here. As much as I like my colleagues, I miss my routine from home and my kitchen. I've eaten too many snacks since I refuse to pay $30 for a sandwich. I've probably gained 10 pounds from all the salt and sweets. Bad habits.
I'm glad to hear that both your sales are going well. I hope my luck will be as good when I relist my items.
pettie1: Glad to hear your husband is doing well. Were you at the Mayo in Jax? I like the place but I just got a bill today for almost $500 for all the labs done last month. My insurance is not the best and I can't believe that I have to pay that much. The next time the doc tries to order this test, I will refuse. I only need a select few and not all of them.
mocame: I'm like petite1. I went to Disney back in the 80s and haven't been back. I was hoping to go last year with my niece but she didn't come down. I might try next winter when the weather is better.

Kamboka, It is good to hear from you. I was worried about the food situation for you. Yes, my husband was at Mayo in Jax. It was 2009 and I don't remember the co-pays. I think he had BCBS at that time, but it may have gone under the Florida Law Enforcement Heart & Lung provision. That is what he retired under. There was a workers' comp claim as a result. It was a crazy time that has now blended together.

Kamboka - Glad to hear from you. One week left?! Yay! $30 is too much to pay for a sandwich all the time. Crazy.
Petite1 - I'm glad your sales are good. That's great. I'm only listing 2 or 3 things a week and selling about 2 items a week. I don't have time to do more but I'm glad to get a few things out the door.
Well, yesterday I tested positive for covid. Not great timing with being so swamped at work. I have no idea where I got it, although I was away on Friday, Saturday, and to church on Sunday so any of those places could possibly have been where I got it. So far no one else in my family came down with it. I hope they don't. Up until now, my boss has adamantly refused to let us work from home, even when I was off for 3 weeks with my reconstruction surgery in December 2020. But we are so busy that she is letting me. I can log into my work computer remotely and do some of my work, but not all of it. I've been working a few hours each day, but it is taking me longer to get things done with all of the distractions at home. Better some work done, though, than none.

mocame, I am sorry to hear you tested positive for COVID. Hopefully it will be a mild case.
