Good morning to all! I know I have t been posting much but I do read everyday and enjoy Mara’s posts and thank her for keeping things going. I had my scans Wednesday and bone scan results were stable. CT results take forever (at least 2 weeks) which is awful for a hospital system with a medical school! Also had a nerve ablation in my lower back following a successful steroid injection. Unfortunately the ablation did nothing to help with the back pain. So I’m beyond frustrated. Even though I’m not supposed to take them as I have only one kidney, I’ve started taking a couple Motrin every day just to give me a break from the pain. I’m tired of taking Arthritis strength Tylenol that is like a sugar pill to me and does nothing. We have lots of sports activities with the grandkids and just making it into a football stadium or soccer field is beyond difficult. The pain is so fatiguing and I sure get that for most of us, our get up and go got up and left. Been trying to get my fall decor up and it has taken me most of the week to do it. 10 minutes of putting stuff away to make room for fall then requires 15 minutes of sitting for pain relief. Same thing with kitchen duty and laundry. My hubs is so good doing all the vacuuming and dog duty.
So I’m always here for pocket duty for all, especially those who are struggling through this disease and the crap it throws at us. Wishing all a good weekend!

Thank you everyone. I am sorry for the Xeloda exhaustion @threetree but glad you are able to go out. @intolight I am also sorry about the cabin but something else that is better will likely come along. @shanagirl I am glad you are feeling more energized. Thanks for the info. @candy-678 I am sorry about the BIG D but glad you are resting up.
Lost rest of post so start over. Am doing laundry, floors throughout day and deciding on meals. Looking at rice cooker, add in beefless ground, thought about a stretch for the beefless ground with lentils and beans, eggs and perhaps some rice. I have taken to the idea of two to three servings of stuff, can take leftovers, put in container and have on hand to serve with my billions of burritos. I have also taken to putting diced potatoes in as well. I will see, using a lot of unusual fillers. I will post meals of course.
MEAL 1 Lentil heavy meal. Put in 1/3 cup canned lentils, 1/3 dried red lentils and a 1/3 cup of beefless ground. Instead of water, located an almost empty tube of queso with jalapeno, added water shook up the tube and using that as the water. Taco seasoning with little salt and a bit of garlic parm as well. Set rice cooker for 90 mins, will stir periodically. Will definitely fill me up. I will post about the taste.
REVIEW MEAL 1. I did use the same ingredients listed above, only addition was some stuffing mix I keep to the side just to reduce amount of liquid. It was DELICIOUS and filling with all lentils. Will put rest in the fridge, serve on side of burrito I think. The taco flavour was wonderful, no need to add a binder. Picture a stew with ground beef or gravy. Not especially pretty but oh so good. I will put rest in the fridge and like I say, the double shot of lentils makes everything so filling. There was some cheese in there too.
MEAL 2 In the rice cooker, some leftovers, new lentils added, some of the dashed hashbrowns and a precooked and sliced up burrito, bean and cheese. Added some watered garlic mayo, not enough left to pour, added more queso and jalepeno, nothing else. I feel like this will be super filling. Going 30 mins at a time and checking if a stir is needed, if too much liquid, keep heating it.
I have also decided to buy a reasonably priced air purifier from Amazon. Planning to put it in corner part of shelf near but not to close to litter area. Keep reading people stating it cuts down the stink of the box and ease up on the dust and fur. I plan to check my bedroom as well since thought I already had one in there. Located a humidifier I forgot about though so can use that in winter when house dries out. I also made an impulse buy of a wee dual bucket washer. I can do two cycles at same time, one side set up for washer, other side can be the softening cycle and while that one runs, can put clear water for proper rinse, can spin in one of my portable washer. Main use I see, undies, bras and hankerchiefs. It is charged like a phone would be so better. Arriving wednesday, paid the 20.00 for it. I also came across a hack to keep clothing from getting tangled up which is to use a plastic empty water bottle and lid. Supposed to work similar the dryer balls I use to cut down on static. I may try this as I do have water bottles on hand in the fridge.
Now that I have lost posts along the way, just going to save draft regularly. Hope everyone has a good day and in pockets for all.

Making a separate post re my ability to combine stuff to stretch meals easily. Recently discovered Kraft Dinner, take noodles and store airtight in separate container, use about a 1/3 cup at a time. When adding stuff to the rice cooker, I can use partial Kraft dinner cheese mixed with taco seasoning. Both of which are cheap. Lentils and beans are both inexpensive, they make a nice cheese type of seasoning when using lentils and the cheese/taco seasoning. Taking bottles of queso or sour cream and lime crema and when nothing comes out, put water in and shake it, use that as the cheese. I also am using portions of stuffing mix as a filler too. Diced hashbrowns are good as well. I have not had to do a full grocery shop in a very long time.

Cookie, Mara- Thanks for the shout out. Cookie, I do not have time off these meds. They are every day, continuous. I do get out to church on Sunday mornings. And I keep up with my responsibilities- groceries, bill paying, etc. I just do not get to do things that others say they are doing- ball games (not that I would want to in this heat we have been having), festivals, etc. I need to have access to a bathroom when I need it— Quick!! I was thinking about going to a concert locally in November, but decided not to get tickets, as it would be a big venue and large crowd and I don't want to take the chance of a Big D accident. And the fatigue makes me not want to do too many things, or big things that take a lot of energy.
6 -
@goldensrbest It is good to have a DH to get down storage bins, etc. as I know I can't do it. However, we may give it all a pass this year. My DH struggles with his knees and is slowing down although the PCP at his last physical said he was doing well. I am able to walk better than he even with this broken leg! But I can't bend well and lifting is next to impossible.
@candy-678 Going out to events eludes me too even though I am only on weekly chemo and not daily pills. My DD offered to buy me a ticket to see Mannheim Steamroller for Christmas, but with the expense I worry something will come up and I would have to miss it not to mention all the walking, stairs, etc. I miss worshipping at church but the last couple of times were not good for me. For one I have to take the mini oxygen concentrator and I worry the small bit of noise bothers those around me, and even though people said it didn't bother them, I was very self-aware of those who moved away. If I have to isolate myself I might as well worship online. Two, I usually end up having to pick up all my stuff for a bathroom break, another annoyance, and end up waiting in the foyer for my family to come out so again, I might as well stay home. And three, since I am on chemo it is to easy for me to get sick and it isn't even winter yet! Excuses I know. I am a former pastor's wife so I know them all. I didn't understand people's situations back twenty-five years ago as well as I do now and I am sorry I was not more attuned to them. It is all part of the wisdom gained with age.
@mara51506 @shanagirl and everyone else I missed… I pray you have a good weekend with minimal pain and SEs. It is good to have this online community of people who care and are willing to be honest and open. It helps in sharing the load of the burden.

@goldensrbest I am so sorry the nerve ablation did not work out, that would most definitely be so frustrating. I am glad you can chunk out the fall decorations and rest between. That is what I need to do as well when doing chores, breaking down boxes and such too. Getting made up and dressed requires breaks in between even. I do mean that the resting is not frustrating for you, just glad you can get stuff done. I am glad you have your DH helping out as well. You would think with all the cancer drugs they come up with, there would be better oral treatment for you as well beyond the injections.
In your pocket with whatever you want to eat.
5 -
I second the idea, @mara51506 that "You would think with all the cancer drugs they come up with, there would be better oral treatment…." I can't believe how many drugs they have, and yet none of them are easy, much less truly effective.
3 -
Intolight- Your post really got to me.
Mannheim Steamroller!! Wow!! I would love to see them!! But I get it about expensive tickets and the chance you might not be able to go— not feeling good that day. And that would be a big venue, with lots of walking, I am sure.
If you want to attend church in person, then go ahead. Who cares what others think. The sound from your oxygen machine- - - could you sit a little separate? My church is small, but we have 4 or 5 fold-up chairs sitting along the back wall. I used to sit there during the cold/flu season. That way I was not sitting in a pew shoulder to shoulder with other people. Also, that would be better for you, sitting in the back, for bathroom breaks and having so much to transport with you. And maybe being a little separate from the germs. The last several winters - I have been on treatment for multiple winter seasons - I have been staying home during the peak illness times - if I hear there is a lot of illness in our community or with our church people. So, is there a way to sit in the back of your church in a separate chair??
"Excuses", that pisses me off, sorry for the language. I don't think they are "excuses" but "valid reasons". The things you mentioned are valid reasons for you staying home from church. I just got into a "conversation" with a church member about him saying - not to me specifically, but I think he was including me - that those that stay home and watch the service online are "lazy", his words. Oh boy, I gave him what-for. And "wisdom with age", he is in his 80's.
You said you are a former pastor's wife, so don't take offense, but sometimes I think "church people" are very judgmental and have no sympathy for others or see other people's views. I am a Christian and have been most of my life. I grew up in church. But I think churches can be their own worst enemy. They can hinder people from coming to church with their attitudes.
Let's see what they say if they ever have to go through what we do!! I bet they would change their views then!!!
You take care, and I am thinking of you.

Mannheim Steamroller - I always look to see when they are in our area for their Christmas show. Love love love their music. But the tickets are crazy expensive and I also struggle with the concept of navigating the huge venues they play in. I play their Christmas cds all holiday season. I also would like to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra but same issues. When we lived in Michigan we did see Mannheim at Interlochen, a fine arts academy but that was many years ago during the summer so no holiday music.
And to my prior post, we have two grandsons who carry our storage bins up and down from the basement.

@goldensrbest Happy to hear your scans were stable!Sorry that the ablation didn’t give you relief you so deserved. I can’t imagine how frustrating this is for you.Fingers crossed that your dr can provide another alternative treatment.
@candy-678 Ugh I understand your apprehension with the big D, I would certainly feel the same way. I truly wish everyone had an overall better quality of life on treatment. I can only hope someday future treatments come with less side effects to truly live better in this stage. The commercials we all see are sooo deceiving portraying rainbows and butterflies…annoying.
Sending hugs to so many here who are struggling physically and mentally❤️

Count me in with the Manheim Steamroller fans! I too play their CD's a lot during Christmas time; some of my favorites. I've never been to a concert though, and I don't think I've ever noticed one happening, but I'm sure they have around here, I just haven't followed what's happening live around here for years and years. I remember seeing them ages ago on the old Today show where they interviewed Chip (whatever his last name is) and then they performed. I really like their combo productions that blend classical and rock.

Good evening all. Just checking in this Sunday evening.
@candy-678 Thinking about you and have fellow feeling for your struggles and what you’ve posted. Belieive me you are not alone. I have been very isolative with people socially and many family and neighbors for all the reasons you to are feeling. It’s not easy toget ourselves out of protective mode. I undrestand your how you feel about church people and judgemental of others within the congregation. l’ve dealt with that too in the past. What I do is share my feelings in breath prayers to God during the day and at night when I go to bed. Having a close relationship with God is what gives us the srength to go on even without being inside a church building. And if some congregants show thier rudeness because you have your breathing oxygen device in use say a little silent breath prayer to God and he worksfor the good in all things.🙏💕
@goldensrbest I’m sorry for th frustation of having to go thru the ablation and then not working , yet I am happy for stable scans😊 I get so fatigued going out and doing thing. My DH handles the vacuuming ,the dogs stuff and food shopping, and yard work. I do the cooking of one or two big meals for my son & DH. Otherwise it’s pizza or take out or just finding our own meal of left overs in the refridgerator.🌷🩵
@threetree @intolight I always loved the Trans Siberian Orchestra Christmas Canon concert music🥰🎄

I did sleep decently enough, the air purifier is doing its job, really do not smell the cat corner, only when first used, odour goes away quick. Even though it ran out its' 8 hour cycle, it still smells better. Have to set up the bedroom one at some point since there is a lot of fur and dust in there.
Feeling like fall, of course it is fall. Temps and humidity going down quite a bit, I don't mind that. Nothing on the agenda today, laundry, floors need doing and refilling the round cat toy, got cardboard in middle and ball to send round and round. Need to break down boxes got some things delivered in. Organize garbage this week as goes out Tuesday.
I did make meals in air fryer and mini griddle, mini griddle egg was fine but the burger done in air fryer on the platform wasted a lot of the meal down below. Will use the fryer but not the little rack. The wee scoop that came with the rice cooker is excellent on all things, can scoop them out easily. I do like burritos done with lentils and beans. Microwave burrito first, cut it up and then add seasonings, usually the Kraft Dinner/taco seasoning mix dump it in rice cooker with beans and lentils. Those meals yield leftovers. I also add about 1/4 cup of the Stovetop stuffing mix, really fills out the meal. Meat pies done in microwave first then dumped in rice cooker are really good. Today's meal dump will feature white rice, beefless ground, lentils and beans, 1/4 cup each ingredient and likely white rice. Seasoned with queso and jalepeno and other stuff, still got a ton of seasoning. Could also dump the liquid from soup to add flavour, obviously will post as I have meals. I also need to put some beefless ground back in the freezer and pull out one at a time. Sitting on my hands because I keep finding groceries to order which is really unnecessary since I have so much in pantry and freezer. Found frozen burgers yesterday as well.
EDIT MEAL 1. I added quinoa, rice, lentils as well. No real measurement done. Took a handful of beefless ground, bit of shred cheese and two eggs. There is some Tostitos queso in there as well, cooking it for a longer period and will stir stuff together. Will take 80 mins, like most of the liquid to come out before serving. May also form two meals, I am not sure yet.
MEAL REVIEW It was really good and did taste good, no complaint there. Rice cooker is also easy to clean as well. Second meal was just peanut butter from the jar. That was all I wanted.
I hope all have a good day, in pockets for all.

Today is my 10 year Cancerversary! I thank God for these years. Believe it or not, overall they have been good years. When I was diagnosed my oncologist said that I might live for "several" more years but never did I imagine 10 more years ahead of me. I could barely walk or breathe, had to have a pleurex tube inserted in my chest. But the Ibrance/Letrozole combo worked and eventually I got my strength back. Who knows what they future holds or how many good years or days I have left? Only God and I am grateful for what I have been given.
I am still learning not to compare me with me in the past and to be happy for what I can do today. There have been many positive changes in my life due to cancer. First, I don't get upset (as much) over stupid, trivial things because when mortality stares you in the face I realized just how little some things matter. Second, I have stopped being so much of a people pleaser. Due to a lot of factors, I somehow developed into a grown woman who was always accomodating everyone else. During this past decade, I have learned to say "No" more frequently to things I don't want to do or plans that are really inconvenient for me because I finally value my own time and energy. I finally value myself. Too bad it took cancer for me to learn some of these things but I think I am actually happier now than I was 10 years ago. I don't look as good. I can't accomplish as much but I think I love myself more and have more self-compassion. Cheers!
13 -
@chicagoan Happy tenth cancerversary (if it is ok to say such a thing!) I resonate well with your post. I too have learned a lot of things in my past ten years of mbc. I love your phrase "I value myself." I think those of us who have spent many previous years serving others have learned how to advocate for ourselves without guilt. I recently have realized there are a lot of people trying to keep me alive, including family, friends, and medical personnel, and it has altered my perspective a little. I honor them.
6 -
@chicagoan 10 years and still going, that is indeed a milestone to reflect on. I cheered when I read that you have learned to say no and stop people pleasing. I am practicing this also but think it comes easier to me as I am naturally disagreeable. I lose my mind when I hear people 'weasling' out of something, trying to say no without actually saying no. My mom is the worst! She'll make some excuse, give a long, fluffy explanation, perhaps add a white lie (I'm busy) when she is absolutely not. I tell her, mom, NO is a complete sentence! No excuse, no explanation and dear god, no apology required! I used to say, "I'm sorry but I can't do that." Took me a while to get cool with not being sorry. Now my phrases are, "I appreciate you thinking of me but I decline." or "That won't work for me." or, "Have you lost your frikkin mind?" But none of these contain an apology although they do dance around the blunt and abrupt NO. But I do use that too, when required.
Recently weathered a family reunion. The 'Olds', siblings, the remaining living of a family of 14, gather annually for a reunion. All us cousins, our spouses, our kids, our kid's kids. It's a zoo! About 50 or so for a sit down meal and then the visiting. It's like speed dating. So many rellies one rarely sees so everyone zips around from table to table for a quick chat, floating to this group standing over in the corner, then joining the group near the door seeking fresh air, maybe pop outside to converse with the few smokers who have snuck off for a puff. The Olds are all deaf, all wear hearing aids. Even some of the 'youngers' (who aren't very darn young!) wear hearing aids. The volume goes up and up and up. It's a tumult of shouting and people leaning ears in saying, what? what? Hubby wear hearing aids and by the time we got in the truck to come home we rode in stunned silence. Wow!My inner introvert takes a beating at these events! People harass me - you're a shut in, you never go anywhere - it's true . I don't go anywhere. Everything I want to do and need to do is pretty much right here. Every now and then I get up in the morning and think, I should go somewhere. Followed by the question: where? (crickets, as my brain rolodexes through potential destinations). None of them make me jump with glee so I decide, screw that, I'll stay home, make coffee, feed the chickens, look at my tarot cards, sew some pot holders, water the lawn, prune the tomato plants, make jam. So I do. Accusations that I never go anywhere tell me that I am introverting at a gold medal level!
Earlier this year as they came in season I froze rhubarb, from the neighbour's massive plant. Froze raspberries from my plants that grow epic raspberries since we planted them in the septic field. Then lastly I wait til the end of the season for plums to come on as I make a wicked plum/rhubarb/rasp jam! I zest the rind of an orange and add it, chop the flesh of the orange and add it too. Use less sugar and a low sugar pectin. Woo - ee! That jam makes you pucker and do a little jig. I love it. But I was wondering where to get plums as it was getting time to find some and I hadn't gotten around to it yet. We were driving home when we spied a close neighbour had put a wheelbarrow heaped with plums at the road with a sign, FREE. What a windfall! I didn't need a whole barrow full, just an ice cream pail about 3/4 full. Other neighbours saw it too and wanted to get some plums but oddly, the wheelbarrow was empty. Empty! That was A LOT of plums for someone to take! Turns out a mom bear and her two cubs had come along and had the very best plum smorg ever. Licked up every last fruit. I guess they have to get ready for winter too but jeez. But happy to report I did get enough plums to put up 16 jars of jam. I still have a few frozen rasps left over to fill a wine glass with and pour a cheap, sweet, bubbly wine over. La Scala Spumanti or Spumanti Bambino over frozen raspberries? Try it. I'm serious. Try it.
I have blathered on pointlessly and now it's time for bed. Love and hugs and good days to all of you. May your plums be safe from bears.5 -
@chicagoan Congrats on 10 years!!I loved your post as it also truly echo's my beliefs also. I went through many stages when diagnosed but it wasn't until Stage IV that I realized that I should be living my life to please me and not to please everyone around me. I am a giver and a doer for others which I enjoy making someone else's day better if I can. When it comes to events etc that I don't feel like attending for various reasons I can now say no also. Cheers !
@runor You made me lol at the description of your family reunion, I was able to visualize all of it. Sounds like a nice day to see everyone but I can only imagine all the noise and gabbing going on can be overload. You sound like you have a beautiful property that keeps you busy with gardening and lovely vegetation. Guess the bears needed the plums more than you an your neighbors but glad you had enough for your jam. Your jams do sound amazing and I'm sure your family and neighbors get to enjoy the fruits of your labor!
@mara51506 Glad the air purifier is working out well. I think the hum of anything like a fan or purifier is great white noise to help us sleep a bit better. I use a fan and now it sounds sooo quiet I try to sleep without it. Rainy week here but temps in the 60's which is fine with me. I'm ready to be rid of the hot/humid weather. Hope you enjoy your day and have some tasty meal combo's.
Hi to all reading along, hope it's a quiet day🌻🎃

@cookie54 @chicagoan So true that after a it’s of years being NEAD and 4 years Stage IV and a long summer of hospitalizations for hemorrhagic Pneumonia, I am no longer a people pleaser, feel the idea to do more & get out more is what should do. I get up when I want and go through the day mostly shut in and just enjoying the creature comforts at home. 🌷🌷
@runor I loved your family reunion story. That’s pretty much the same when I make it to large family gatherings lol😂

Happy cancerversary, Chicagoan! 10 years is something to celebrate!
Hi to everyone…it's been awhile. I left the boards for a bit, but I think of you often and appreciate all of you.
Initiated into the chemo club this summer. Not fun, but doable. Now on to radiation and a consult at Mayo. NED for 10 years and then things got interesting. Trying different treatments to get back to stable. As you all know, treatment is challenging. Thankful for every day!!
6 -
Good morning ladies
@chicagoan congratulations for your 10 years. May you have many more.
@mara51506 what type if air purifier did you get. By the way I love the neck fan. Sometimes I hold it and let it blow in my face.
@intolight its nice to hear you honor your caregivers. My doctor inc of almost 20 years retired and I still recall some of his advice. Definitely wanted to keep me Alive.
@runor family gathering sounds cool. We never All got together especially now. When my mom was still in NY we did them at a park. I miss everyone but reunions are a reminder of the love and space that’s needed.
@shanagirl still working on saying “no” and boundaries. I have slowed and or stopped quite a bit of the trying to make everyone happy😀. It was exhausting.
@goldensrbest sorry about the ablation. I’ve tried it 3 times, can you say desperate. Unfortunately it never fully worked and there was a lot of prep and pain and it just didn’t deliver relief for me.
I was told about a resort for cancer survivors Mary’s house by the sea. I’m going to try to go I have to call October 1st for 2027 availability.
Waving hello @iwrite , @threetree , @cookie54 , @irishlove , @candy-678 and everyone I forgot. Take care all

@tanya_djamila Got it off Amazon, brand name is Airromi. By the time tax added it was almost 70 dollars but I cannot smell the litterbox when I walk in and that is a bonus. I found an older one which I plan to find a place for, I am bad for buying and not getting rid of the boxes and just forgetting them. It is an effective. On the US Amazon, Levoit seems to be popular. Left a link for air purifiers on the american site.
Left you the link to the different ones.
Slept well enough, definitely felt the fall air when took garbage out. Oh well, shut off the AC and other fans for now. Once heat is on, it will get HOT and I will complain until they turn it off.
Nothing on agenda, laundry, floors and deciding what to eat. I may use another frozen burger, toss in the rice cooker with some rice, an egg and chopped up beans and lentils, bit of water and queso with taco sauce and cheese. I will post up later. If decide on something like that, will take a while for it to come out and stirs along the way. Post later. I am noticing a lot of stores running out of the canned lentils so I widened my search to other local stores, found a few that have them. I also found mini pot pies for more than 2.00 less than the ones at Walmart. Got 2 of the mini pot pies, gives me 12. 4.99 and 3 cans other lentils.
GOT the two boxes of mini pot pie, wanted beef but out of them so had chosen the chicken ones which is fine. 3 cans of lentils as well. MEAL 1 will be rice, lentils and chopped beans, some beefless ground with queso, and mayo to make it all creamy. Cheesy seasoning as well. Might use some leftover chips to chop the beans into or shredded cheese.
I am supposed to get my impulse Amazon buy, these two wee washers that I got for 20 bucks. Considering they shipped from US surprised they did not cost more but whatever. Wanted those in order to wash up handkerchiefs, socks and undies, I will see when I get them if they are any good. I expect super small. Other thing I heard about as a laundry hack to keep things like shirts and leggings from tangling up besides a mesh bag was an empty plastic water bottle, it really does seem to work, probably similar effect to my wool dryer balls I use in dryer.
I do hope all have a good day in pockets for all.

@shanagirl Happy 54th Anniversary to a beautiful couple! Cheers for many more to come 🥂! Hope you get out for a nice dinner to celebrate.❤️

@shanagirl Happy Anniversary! You two look great!! Thanks for sharing!!!

@shanagirl - Congratulations on your 54th! Wow! You both look great, and very happy. Very nice photo.

@shanagirl Beautiful couple! Hope you have a nice dinner on Friday.
3 -
@chicagoan Congrats on your 10 year cancerversary! It's a pleasant surprise to still be here, isn't it? (I haven't reached 10 years, but I've lived longer than I expected.)
@iwrite Good to hear from you again. What chemo did you start?
@mara51506 it's always good to hear how you keep yourself busy
@runor loved your description of the reunion. I'd almost suggest making it a weekend event, but that might really tax your introversion - OTOH, it might allow for some breathers in the midst of it.
Scans today. I won't get results before Monday, at the earliest, because of a new, unnecessary, and infuriating (and stupid) state law that requires a 3-day delay before any imaging results can be posted to an electronic portal. @!#%@!!!
4 -
@seeq Oh the wait for results… maddening for sure! I know the docs weren't happy when we were getting next day results before they had a chance to review them . Nobody can understand scanxiety they way we do!! In your pocket for scan today, may time fly by quickly over this weekend!Hugs🤗
2 -
Shana - a very Happy 54th Anniversary one day late! May you share many more years together! Hope your dinner on Friday is the best!
Chicagoan - a 10 yr cancer anniversary is amazing. I had my 7 yr MBC anniversary at the end of July and am still on my first line of treatment.
Saw my pain management PA yesterday and he is ordering a new lower back MRI. He also prescribed the new non narcotic pain pill, Journavx. While it was developed more for post surgical pain, he says his patients find it helpful for pain on their worst days. He was concerned that I had decided to use Motrin (only on days when I needed to be functional) and said Journavx does not harm the kidneys. Will see how it works for me.
Here for pocket duty. Wishing all a good Thursday🫶🏻
