@goldensrbest I am so sorry the experience with the nurses not responding was so slow on top of what is a scary situation. I hope your feedback about the cardio unit helps to lead to faster response time.

I had a good sleep last night, FINALLY put the online application for my new health card in. It does not expire til Nov 11, my birthday but that date is now October 31st which is when it kicks in. Should arrive by mail but made digital copies of the updated version code. I will soon have to apply for a new photo card, since I do not drive or travel, I need a purple card which acts as primary ID and I will be applying for replacement birth certificate. After procrastinating, decided that I need to get off my butt and take care of it. Health card is updated.

Nothing else on agenda, only a couple of little cloths and wee towel, using the 20.00 washer instead of big one, will still spin dry but that is it. Use the hanging drying rack to dry them since main dryer not being used. I will likely charge the twin washers as well. So far they are handy to use for the small stuff, nice to be able to charge and they do not vibrate when spinning.

Todays meals will be done in the rice cooker I think. I will take 2 eggs, add mayo and cheese seasoning, put beans and lentils in and microwave 5 mins. Stick with me on this, take out my chopper and chop the eggs and beans/lentil mix, throw in the rice cooker for 30 minutes, warms up whole thing, then take out. Possibly throw in beefless ground as well. I like the idea of warming the food in a completely non stick rice cooker and bringing together flavours like I used to in my fry pan. I like chopping things like beans and eggs to be similar to ground beef texture. Will post of course.

I do hope everyone has a good day and I am in pockets for all.

@gailmary I’m loving your posts. It’s always nice to hear about how we spend our days. That’s one thing about @mara51506 . She’s wonderful about how she just bangs out her days with meal plans, cshopping cooke cleaning laundry, and watching her 😱 movies 🍿 we love you @mara51506 🥰

I’m going to make a fried egg on an English muffin with mayonnaise, I usually have 2 cups of coffee in the morning in bed. DH makes it and always bring s it to me traditionlly throughout our 54 year marriage. WhenI make it downstairs I make a DR GUNDRY Chocolate protrein Smoothie with MCT Blackberry lemonade.. that gives me my nutrition and energy.. I don’t eat the rest of the day and will justpick on whatever is for dinner. Last night it was popcorn chicken & French fries 🍟. Earlier in the week I made potroast, and the day before the guys ordered pizza, and I made salmon with clams for myself and the pugs. other than that it’s usually leftovers from a big meal I cook or takeout. thinking of you all today. Especially sweet @scgal08, after your 10 day hospitalization, and update about what you’ve been going thru girl. @chicagoan . @goldensrbest @cookie54 @intolight @rlschaller @threetree @micmel @candy-678 @mkestrel and all those I haven’t meentioned. Have a calm and restful day today.😘

@gailmary I buy stuff that is easy to put together, not so much a great cook. I do enjoy lentils, canned or the dry red variety. Rice is good too. I like to dump everything in the rice cooker and just let it go for a bit. I usually add a lot of flavour and I do chop up regular beans as I prefer the smaller texture. How I finally got myself eating beans, potatoes in the form of diced hashbrowns, the rice cooker turns them into potatoes. I also like different seasoning but have to admit popcorn cheese, white cheddar and sour cream are my favourite seasonings and mayo is a favourite binder. Thank you for the compliment.

@shanagirl I am fortunate my apartment is small, easy to run my vacuum sweeper, dry mop and then wet mop. All told, my apartment takes under 10 mins for all of those steps.

Slept lightly yesterday night, mostly on the couch while watch Harry Potter different fan fictions on the youtube, tried making it to bed but no sleep there, perhaps a light rest. When I know sleep is evasive I eat throughout the night as I feel better the next day that way.

Chores are the usual ones, laundry, floors and cat area. I did add an extra container to that area so can scoop, drop in the put a lid on Not much laundry on the go so can bust out the little 20 dollar twin washers. They run on a charge with usb charging so no need to fuss about where they go. I don't expect them to last forever but for the cost they are nice.

I have to check the fridge, think there are leftovers I need to get to and might throw in beans, lentils, I will post meals after. I have a beef and tomato frozen pasta, it is one of the larger ones from Walmart, my thought is, do an initial heat up in microwave and put into different containers, use as more of a side with lentils and chopped beans and cheesy seasoning. I will see.

I hope all have a great day and I am in pockets for all.

I did not sleep too much last night, not even on couch, no worries or anything, chores cut off earlier. Oh well. Got an early all day appointment with MO and Herceptin a bit later. Got a ton of snacks I can bring. Already projecting insomnia due to the early hour. Not to concerned, I just eat meals throughout the night and i do not feel as tired. Have to ask MO about why I need a holter monitor, my echocardiograms have always been glowing. Rather not wear something for 72 hours. Oh well, will find out.

Nothing on the agenda, want to apply for a purple id card, since no passport or driver's license, use this for official ID. New Health card takes effect Oct 31, just updated the version code. Also wanting a new birth certificate.

Yesterday's meals will function as breakfast today, got 3 meals out of it and it did not feel like a lot of food. Meals were very good, still working through frozen hamburgers. I cook them up in the rice cooker as well. I am also sitting on my hands not to order more food unless I truly need it. My freezer is still overly stocked and need to clear out some space. I am also eating through my pantry as well. I will post meals as usual today.

MEAL 1 I am wanting some rice, lentils and beans 1/4 cup of each and if have more beefless ground, 1/4 that. Rice will be there as well. If I do not have beefless ground, toss in a mini pot pie and handful of diced hashbrowns to sub in for potatoes. All done in my crockpot, ahem I mean the rice cooker. Will post on taste.

Laundry, floors and dusting as always I did get entire area swept and mopped up though and still got the window fan going as with boiler heat on, normal temps are almost 90. Province requires heat starting from October. I almost miss the old boiler which did not heat up the place so much but whining won't change it so done with that. Tell myself other people don't have heat and I am lucky. Usually shuts off the whiny thoughts.

I hope all have a good day and in pockets for all.

@goldensrbest Ugh sorry to hear of more struggles for you and DH! I hope your time off Ibrance gives you the recharge you need to help DH get to his ablation and beyond. I'm sorry you're getting hit with everything at once..wrapping you in a big hug. Continued prayers and sending healing vibes your way💕

@mara51506 Hope you're able to catch up on sleep after the anxiety of early appointments passes. In your pocket for smooth travel to appointments and a good day.

@gailmary Glad you were able to get out a bit to the Fall festival . I hope that gave you a boost and your feeling a little less stressed today, hugs🤗. I bet your quilts are beautiful, I think I need to get back into some type of crafting that I use to enjoy.

@shanagirl Oh what a gloomy day it was yesterday but we have a beautiful sunny Fall week ahead. Hope you're feeling better today as you get further out from last weeks treatment.

@seeq Congrats on getting a new car, enjoy! I still drive my 2011 Chevy Equinox, it only has 80,000 miles! I always worked close to home and still don't drive very far. It's in pristine condition so now it's a challenge to see how much longer I can go with old Bessie lol.

@intolight Hope today is a better day for you, fingers crossed. Nice to hear your half sis is coming soon, how nice! I'm sure you both are looking forward to catching up on your lives.

Yesterday stayed in and watched the Eagles blow another game. Made a roast in the crockpot, mashed potatoes and pillsbury biscuits. Was an good rainy day meal , also made chocolate chips as a pick me up treat after the loss lol.Today I had protein waffles for breakfast with my 1-2 cups of coffee . Will exercise, take Buster for his walk and then do some food shopping. Tomorrow I'm going to Smithville( about 40 min from me a quaint shopping village) with my childhood gf to celebrate her birthday. Will treat her to lunch and we will browse all the shoppes and chit chat. Typically for lunch I have a salad with some protein in it or a turkey wrap. Snacks are usually fruit or greek yogurt with berries. Sweet treats are these coconut clusters I get from Aldi or a Kind Bar or something similar. The Aldi clusters are dark chocolate covered pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and Quinoa…sweet with a nice crunch… highly recommend!

Hope everyone has a better day today, hearing of struggles just makes my heart heavier. I care deeply about everyone here and wish I could wave a magic wand and make everyone whole again..appreciate all here❣️

@intolight So sorry about your incident. What you describe is my biggest fear of aging, cancer or not. Losing our bodily autonomy is so humiliating but seems to be the case for each of us if we live long enough. I guess that God wants to remind us that we are dependent on others from the cradle to the grave but what an unpleasant lesson it is to go through.

@goldensrbest So sorry you were back in the ER. I too have been on Ibrance for a long time and I think these medications, as wonderful as they are at combatting cancer, do take a longterm toll on our bodies. Hopefully the break will let your body recover a bit. I just started a break in anticipation of my cataract surgery on October 22. Got to get my white cells reactivated.

@seeq-you have me craving roast chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. Got to buy some potatoes.

@mara51506-Hope that your infusion goes well today and that they will have snacks for you. If they don't, I know you are prepared! Best wishes for a good night's sleep tonight.

@cookie54 Your outing sounds fun. So nice to do a little day trip, almost a mini-vacation.

Today I'm off to get my eyes measured for my upcoming surgery but have a pizza party with co-workers tonight. We do this monthly. It's fun and relaxing

@shanagirl - Hi Barbara, saw your post on the other thread and wanted to say that I am also very concerned about @irishlove and have wondered why we haven't heard from her in so long. I've got my fingers crossed that she's just taking a break or something and that she and her family are all doing OK🤞. Sending her good thoughts and hugs.

@tanya_djamila - Yes, I think several of us in particular are becoming quite concerned about Irishlove. I do hope we hear something soon.

Very nice that you can spend some time with your family in other states. I've been to PA before, but never Boston, although I 'd like to see it sometime.

Glad too to hear that you are going to try Mary's by the Sea. I only recently heard about it myself and I did look it up online. I didn't spend too much time on the details, however, as i was having one of my frequent very menatlly fatigued times. I hope you have a really nice time there, and please be sure to let us all know how it goes.

@threetree @tanya_djamila Yes, I’ve been concerned. I sent her a messsage. Hopefully she’s just taking some alone time. It’s just not like her to go MIA. Thanks for sharing with me you also were thinking of our girl sweet @irishlove

@mara51506 In your Pocket for your treatment tomorrow.💗💕

I also heard about Mary’s by the Sea from a recent post here the other day @tanya_djamila . I think it’s great you made a reservation fo a stay.

I know where it is. it;s in Ocean Grove right on the ocean. I used to livein Belmar the next 2 towns over. I believe one or two of my neighbors were involved with running it. It’s very lovely and right there in the midst of a lovely little shore town.

I did not manage to get out for Herceptin, managed to get another stomach bug/Big D. Will be cancelling Paratransit and the cancer centre to cancel appointment. Got new appointment in 3 weeks or so.

Did not help that the few bites of food before being sick were so gross. The popcorn seasoning cheddar cheese I usually use was the culprit, could not finish breakfast, dumped in trash and the bit of red lentil meal was awful too. Tossing it out too.

I feel hungry again but sticking to egg etc. Might also just do rice or Kraft Dinner type stuff, the cheese powder and taco blend of dry seasoning is good. Stop adding everything to the rice cooker. Rice should go in the rice cooker. Oh well.

In addition to @irishlove , I would also love to know if anyone has heard from @eleanora . She had just started Xeloda the last time I heard from her on the Xeloda thread, and had been having some problems, but things were looking up as she had an appointment with a different oncologist scheduled a few days out, but then have not seen her post anywhere here or on the Xeloda thread since then.
