@goldensrbest I am so sorry the experience with the nurses not responding was so slow on top of what is a scary situation. I hope your feedback about the cardio unit helps to lead to faster response time.
I had a good sleep last night, FINALLY put the online application for my new health card in. It does not expire til Nov 11, my birthday but that date is now October 31st which is when it kicks in. Should arrive by mail but made digital copies of the updated version code. I will soon have to apply for a new photo card, since I do not drive or travel, I need a purple card which acts as primary ID and I will be applying for replacement birth certificate. After procrastinating, decided that I need to get off my butt and take care of it. Health card is updated.
Nothing else on agenda, only a couple of little cloths and wee towel, using the 20.00 washer instead of big one, will still spin dry but that is it. Use the hanging drying rack to dry them since main dryer not being used. I will likely charge the twin washers as well. So far they are handy to use for the small stuff, nice to be able to charge and they do not vibrate when spinning.
Todays meals will be done in the rice cooker I think. I will take 2 eggs, add mayo and cheese seasoning, put beans and lentils in and microwave 5 mins. Stick with me on this, take out my chopper and chop the eggs and beans/lentil mix, throw in the rice cooker for 30 minutes, warms up whole thing, then take out. Possibly throw in beefless ground as well. I like the idea of warming the food in a completely non stick rice cooker and bringing together flavours like I used to in my fry pan. I like chopping things like beans and eggs to be similar to ground beef texture. Will post of course.
I do hope everyone has a good day and I am in pockets for all.

.Good Morning everyone☀️🩵 I hope today finds you all incomfort and peace,.
I went for my oncology & Pulmonologist follow up and treatment on Wednesday. My both Drs. felt I could go back onthe Verzenio on one half the dose only once a day and see how I dofor the next 4 weeks till my next ollow up visit. They want to be sure I don’t relapse into another Pneumonia. Ive already beentaking 1 pill a day rather than the former twice a day. So far so good since Wednesday. Its normally allergy time of the year for me so I’m already sneezing and a little bit of asthma, but Ihave all my lung medications. mu pulmonologist wants me to take the nebulizer breathing treatment twice a day. Ugh I hate it because it make me jittery and hyper. He’s also prescribed new prescriptions of asthma inhalers with steroid..Im just praying I don’t have to go the the ER with another relapse.. I want to be able to stay on the Verzenio because it’s worked so well keeeping me stable from the day he put me on this treatment plan 4 years ago in January. Stable no progression since.
Waving hi to @cookie54 @threetree @seeq @mara51506 @sherri2004 @goldensrbest @chicagoan @irishlove @intolight….thinking of you @candy-678 @micmel @mkestrel and everyone here. Have a blesed day.

Sleep was OK, have to cut off the scrolling on Facebook or watching the little videos.
Got chores, normal floors, bit of laundry, finding the 20.00 twin washers useful, can clean up dish towels and cloths quickly and easily. I do like the basins not being removable as well and no cord to be concerned about, they only require a spin dry in my regular washtubs. The cat area is getting done, plan to be done by 11am. I am good at scooping, not good about moving stuff on the floor to get in for vacuum and floor mopping. May have my breakfast meal first.
MEAL 1 I am planning to have rice, chickpeas, beans and lentils. Chickpeas and beans will be chopped up with cheese or a few chips. I don't hate the taste of beans or chick peas, it is the size and texture. I can adjust it so I do that for myself. Small amounts of each so I do not overfill. Probably looking at 1/4 each of the lentils, beans and chickpeas. Measured out 1/4 cup of everything, got the chick peas and black beans chopped as well, used shredded cheese. Getting rid of rest of manwich sauce, just really tired of it at this point. Can get it as a dry seasoning instead, thinking the manwich taste combined with a cheesy dry seasoning would be quite good. Added some garlic spread since it is milder and set rice cooker for 1 hour and 20 minutes. RESULTS OF MEAL 1 It was a very dense meal, it did taste good and I did eat up previous leftovers as well. About 1/2 the meal was leftover. I did dump out the manwich sauce due to being tired of it.
My later meal is starting to percolate already, my thought is eggs mixed with mayo, dump them and some diced hashbrowns with bit of water and do them up in the rice cooker. The hashbrowns become more like proper potatoes and I really like those. Post for both meals eventually.
Hoping all have a good day, and in pockets for all.

Barbara I truly hope the verzenio can continue to work for you and you manage to stay out if the hospital. I feel chatty tonight. So the rest of this nay seem silly but I do wonder what everyone else's posts would look like if we wrote of what we ate and how we filled our time. We all have different lifestyles.
Obviously Mara loves to eat or cook or both. I do not. Breakfast- raisin bran with handful of walnuts. 2 cup coffee. Lunch. Peanut butter and jelly sandwich and half apple. Glass of milk. Those 2 are pretty much a constant for years. Supper. I made French toast to use up bacon dd brought over. Likely will snack on fruit tonight.
This morning I finished a quilt on my longarm machine. Then I walked almost 2 miles. Then dd came over and I worked in the sewingroom patching batting scraps together for future quilts.
Sore back from standing much of day. Will crash on the couch and hate tv.
What did you do all day?

Amazing how much we can all have in common.
Okay, we all have cancer. And like flowers and pretty scenery and our pets. Married 52 years here. Almost like Barbara. And my cancerversary is like 10 yrs like Chicagoans. Hard to say. I had the pain in my arm bone almost a full year before it was scanned and diagnosed. In which case it's 10 yrs. I hope you all get that far at least.
I haven't needed a palliative care dr yet but good to know of these new nonnarcotic drugs. Jouravx?
My aches and pains aren't cancer related though I wonder if the arthritis isn't really a side effect of treatments. There were 4 years prior to the 10 yrs metastatic. Doesn't matter. Pity from anyone won't change it.
Sorry I sound so bad tonight. Always lots of stress. I can hide it better in person.

@gailmary Here's my day-had cheerios with milk and an apple with peanut butter for breakfast. This morning I did my puzzles-NYT Wordle and Crossword. I kept working on a sermon for Sunday and did the communion liturgy. I had a few crackers with some cheese, and a few cookies with dark chocolate for lunch, along with Coke Zero. Then I played pickleball for a few hours. Came home and watched Jeopardy, did a few chores, then did yoga. My body feels sore. I do think our medications contribute to arthritis. I had a salad with tuna for dinner, a pear for dessert and watched the Wizard of Oz. Now I am going to do some writing and then read a little more of Rules of Civility by Amor Towles. For those who like novels/short stories, his books are fantastic.
My cooking is usually pretty easy. I buy bagged salads from Costco and often have their rotisserie chicken or other prepared entrees. I had their lasagna for about 4 days this week. It was really good. I am attending a funeral tomorrow for an elder at a church I used to serve. She died of gall bladder cancer but it wasn't diagnosed until the very end. She was having a lot of stomach problems over the past few years but they obviously didn't catch it. She died before her first chemo session. She will be very much missed.

@gailmary I’m loving your posts. It’s always nice to hear about how we spend our days. That’s one thing about @mara51506 . She’s wonderful about how she just bangs out her days with meal plans, cshopping cooke cleaning laundry, and watching her 😱 movies 🍿 we love you @mara51506 🥰
I’m going to make a fried egg on an English muffin with mayonnaise, I usually have 2 cups of coffee in the morning in bed. DH makes it and always bring s it to me traditionlly throughout our 54 year marriage. WhenI make it downstairs I make a DR GUNDRY Chocolate protrein Smoothie with MCT Blackberry lemonade.. that gives me my nutrition and energy.. I don’t eat the rest of the day and will justpick on whatever is for dinner. Last night it was popcorn chicken & French fries 🍟. Earlier in the week I made potroast, and the day before the guys ordered pizza, and I made salmon with clams for myself and the pugs. other than that it’s usually leftovers from a big meal I cook or takeout. thinking of you all today. Especially sweet @scgal08, after your 10 day hospitalization, and update about what you’ve been going thru girl. @chicagoan . @goldensrbest @cookie54 @intolight @rlschaller @threetree @micmel @candy-678 @mkestrel and all those I haven’t meentioned. Have a calm and restful day today.😘

@gailmary I buy stuff that is easy to put together, not so much a great cook. I do enjoy lentils, canned or the dry red variety. Rice is good too. I like to dump everything in the rice cooker and just let it go for a bit. I usually add a lot of flavour and I do chop up regular beans as I prefer the smaller texture. How I finally got myself eating beans, potatoes in the form of diced hashbrowns, the rice cooker turns them into potatoes. I also like different seasoning but have to admit popcorn cheese, white cheddar and sour cream are my favourite seasonings and mayo is a favourite binder. Thank you for the compliment.
@shanagirl I am fortunate my apartment is small, easy to run my vacuum sweeper, dry mop and then wet mop. All told, my apartment takes under 10 mins for all of those steps.
Slept lightly yesterday night, mostly on the couch while watch Harry Potter different fan fictions on the youtube, tried making it to bed but no sleep there, perhaps a light rest. When I know sleep is evasive I eat throughout the night as I feel better the next day that way.
Chores are the usual ones, laundry, floors and cat area. I did add an extra container to that area so can scoop, drop in the put a lid on Not much laundry on the go so can bust out the little 20 dollar twin washers. They run on a charge with usb charging so no need to fuss about where they go. I don't expect them to last forever but for the cost they are nice.
I have to check the fridge, think there are leftovers I need to get to and might throw in beans, lentils, I will post meals after. I have a beef and tomato frozen pasta, it is one of the larger ones from Walmart, my thought is, do an initial heat up in microwave and put into different containers, use as more of a side with lentils and chopped beans and cheesy seasoning. I will see.
I hope all have a great day and I am in pockets for all.

@gailmary - thanks for making the suggestion to talk about our days. Talking about the mundane can lighten our worries, I think. And, yes, I think the hormone blockers we take create and exacerbate existing joint issues.
Now that I've found I can tolerate A2 milk, I've started having chocolate milk for breakfast again, or a bowl of cereal - unless we're going out for lunch, then I skip it. Today's lunch was leftover spaghetti and dinner was chicken thighs - oven baked instead of grilled, because it's rainy (hurray for rain!) - with corn and mashed potatoes.
I didn't have much on my agenda today - just watching college football, reading and puzzle apps. @chicagoan, I like the NYT games, too. The last few days, I've been hooked on Arrow Block 3D, lol.
I had a nice surprise, in that my husband found a nice (3-yo) car on Carvana to replace my 10-yo Kia, which I've loved, but he's been worried about taking it too far. It's funny, in a way, because I don't drive much, but I don't much like riding in my husband's pickup truck. This will be much more comfortable for our road trips, as well as around town. And finally, I'll have a car I don't have to climb up into (his truck) or out of (my Kia). They gave us a decent trade-in on the Kia, and we take delivery next week. :)

Well, I ended up going to the ER yesterday. Reached out to oncology team for significant shortness of breath and fatigue. I’m on my week off of Ibrance. Of course they wanted me to go in for bloodwork, chest X-ray and CT to rule out blood clots, possible pneumonitis. Thankfully X-ray and scans were negative but my blood work was less than good. WBC & RBC very low and ANC at .7. Lots of avoiding crowds and handwashing for me. Plus an extra weeks vacation from Ibrance 🎉🎉 ER doc thought that 7 yrs of being on Ibrance has taken a cumulative toll on me. Who knows? I haven’t had this severity of symptoms in a couple years. My DH’s cardiac ablation is scheduled for 10/14. Even though he had a cardiac version on Monday, he has developed a-fib again but at least no tachycardia. So he’s fatigued and short of breath too. We’re a perfect match🤣.
Here for pocket duty for those in need. Wishing all a quiet, peaceful week🫶🏻

I did not sleep too much last night, not even on couch, no worries or anything, chores cut off earlier. Oh well. Got an early all day appointment with MO and Herceptin a bit later. Got a ton of snacks I can bring. Already projecting insomnia due to the early hour. Not to concerned, I just eat meals throughout the night and i do not feel as tired. Have to ask MO about why I need a holter monitor, my echocardiograms have always been glowing. Rather not wear something for 72 hours. Oh well, will find out.
Nothing on the agenda, want to apply for a purple id card, since no passport or driver's license, use this for official ID. New Health card takes effect Oct 31, just updated the version code. Also wanting a new birth certificate.
Yesterday's meals will function as breakfast today, got 3 meals out of it and it did not feel like a lot of food. Meals were very good, still working through frozen hamburgers. I cook them up in the rice cooker as well. I am also sitting on my hands not to order more food unless I truly need it. My freezer is still overly stocked and need to clear out some space. I am also eating through my pantry as well. I will post meals as usual today.
MEAL 1 I am wanting some rice, lentils and beans 1/4 cup of each and if have more beefless ground, 1/4 that. Rice will be there as well. If I do not have beefless ground, toss in a mini pot pie and handful of diced hashbrowns to sub in for potatoes. All done in my crockpot, ahem I mean the rice cooker. Will post on taste.
Laundry, floors and dusting as always I did get entire area swept and mopped up though and still got the window fan going as with boiler heat on, normal temps are almost 90. Province requires heat starting from October. I almost miss the old boiler which did not heat up the place so much but whining won't change it so done with that. Tell myself other people don't have heat and I am lucky. Usually shuts off the whiny thoughts.
I hope all have a good day and in pockets for all.

@goldensrbest So sorry you had to make a trip to the ER and that your DH is struggling too. Yes, they always want to run a whole bunch of tests at the ER. I will pray that your time off Ibrance will help you recover and that your fatigue and SOB will improve. It is difficult to have to worry about your DH when you are not doing well either.
@seeq I started my day off poorly with another "episode" when I tried to go to the bathroom. I ended up lying on the floor half-dressed. At least I didn't pass out this time and break a leg like last time! I just slowly laid down. My sweet DD had to come upstairs and help me clean off, and between her and my DH they got me back into bed. My DD is a nurse but it still doesn't make it any more pleasant. She has to work tonight and was trying to get some extra sleep, but I ruined that… If it wasn't for the bathroom issues I would be doing pretty well. We have Alexa setup so I can make a broad announcement that I need help and I get the help from whomever is home. On a good note, my sweet half-sister is flying out for a visit over the Halloween weekend. I found her on ancestry.com seven years ago and we have been great friends ever since bonding immediately.
I am sure the rest of my day will be spent in the recliner with my crochet hook and a good book and with the dog by my side.

Today it’s dark and rainy. A blah day to do nothing. DH is watching the game in his office next to the bedroom where I am. I was sitting on the couch in his office with him and took a 10 minute breathing treatment on the nebulizer. I came back in my room because I feel more comfy there and so do the dogs. They are already snoring 😴. My hands are now all jittery from breathing the nebulizer breathing treatment. But my pulmonologist wants me to do them twice a day now that I am back on th half dose of Verzenio. Today I haven’t felt so great., I was felling really very fatigued and breathless downstairs in the kitchen while making my smoothie, and putting stuffed shells in the oven gfor my DH Son so they could snack as they watch sports on TV. It’s Sunday and not making Sunday dinner. I’ll just go down later and pick on the stuffed shells.
So far the Verzenio isn’t affecting me with my lung issues., but I think I’m still feeling the after effects of the Fasoldex & the Xgeva treatment injections I had this past Wednesday. I’m always off for the first week after. And this weather is not helping with the bone aches and pains.
So I was just checking in this afternoon. @goldensrbest I hope you and DH are feeling well today. I was thinking about you both.
Have a good day today everyone..

So sorry to hear you all aren't doing the best. I guess that's why we're all here. Bad bathroom trips and ER visits and such just suck. Top it off with a spouses poor health and there you have some crappy challenges to deal with. Why are we so lucky.? So scarry what the future holds.
Feeling stressed today. Trying to think of the mundane to calm me so I sleep. I do feel very blessed with all I have. I got another quilt done this morning. Church fall festival this afternoon. I just popped in to pick up a bunch of jigsaw puzzles and a pumpkin pie. Yet good to see many familiar faces for a few friendly words. A frozen pizza again tonight requested by dh. Lots of different flavors. Better than a sandwich or chicken dinner at church. Trust me.
7 -
@goldensrbest Ugh sorry to hear of more struggles for you and DH! I hope your time off Ibrance gives you the recharge you need to help DH get to his ablation and beyond. I'm sorry you're getting hit with everything at once..wrapping you in a big hug. Continued prayers and sending healing vibes your way💕
@mara51506 Hope you're able to catch up on sleep after the anxiety of early appointments passes. In your pocket for smooth travel to appointments and a good day.
@gailmary Glad you were able to get out a bit to the Fall festival . I hope that gave you a boost and your feeling a little less stressed today, hugs🤗. I bet your quilts are beautiful, I think I need to get back into some type of crafting that I use to enjoy.
@shanagirl Oh what a gloomy day it was yesterday but we have a beautiful sunny Fall week ahead. Hope you're feeling better today as you get further out from last weeks treatment.
@seeq Congrats on getting a new car, enjoy! I still drive my 2011 Chevy Equinox, it only has 80,000 miles! I always worked close to home and still don't drive very far. It's in pristine condition so now it's a challenge to see how much longer I can go with old Bessie lol.
@intolight Hope today is a better day for you, fingers crossed. Nice to hear your half sis is coming soon, how nice! I'm sure you both are looking forward to catching up on your lives.
Yesterday stayed in and watched the Eagles blow another game. Made a roast in the crockpot, mashed potatoes and pillsbury biscuits. Was an good rainy day meal , also made chocolate chips as a pick me up treat after the loss lol.Today I had protein waffles for breakfast with my 1-2 cups of coffee . Will exercise, take Buster for his walk and then do some food shopping. Tomorrow I'm going to Smithville( about 40 min from me a quaint shopping village) with my childhood gf to celebrate her birthday. Will treat her to lunch and we will browse all the shoppes and chit chat. Typically for lunch I have a salad with some protein in it or a turkey wrap. Snacks are usually fruit or greek yogurt with berries. Sweet treats are these coconut clusters I get from Aldi or a Kind Bar or something similar. The Aldi clusters are dark chocolate covered pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and Quinoa…sweet with a nice crunch… highly recommend!
Hope everyone has a better day today, hearing of struggles just makes my heart heavier. I care deeply about everyone here and wish I could wave a magic wand and make everyone whole again..appreciate all here❣️
4 -
@intolight So sorry about your incident. What you describe is my biggest fear of aging, cancer or not. Losing our bodily autonomy is so humiliating but seems to be the case for each of us if we live long enough. I guess that God wants to remind us that we are dependent on others from the cradle to the grave but what an unpleasant lesson it is to go through.
@goldensrbest So sorry you were back in the ER. I too have been on Ibrance for a long time and I think these medications, as wonderful as they are at combatting cancer, do take a longterm toll on our bodies. Hopefully the break will let your body recover a bit. I just started a break in anticipation of my cataract surgery on October 22. Got to get my white cells reactivated.
@seeq-you have me craving roast chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. Got to buy some potatoes.
@mara51506-Hope that your infusion goes well today and that they will have snacks for you. If they don't, I know you are prepared! Best wishes for a good night's sleep tonight.
@cookie54 Your outing sounds fun. So nice to do a little day trip, almost a mini-vacation.
Today I'm off to get my eyes measured for my upcoming surgery but have a pizza party with co-workers tonight. We do this monthly. It's fun and relaxing
4 -
@goldensrbest - ugg to ER visits. So, they didn't get to the bottom of your shortness of breath? Hope your DH's treatment went well and is helping him.
@intolight -that is not a great way to start the day. And, we never want to need help in the bathroom, do we? It's inherently embarrassing, even from a loved one. If you can't sort out the early morning mobility to the bathroom, maybe something like a Purewick system would help? They had one for me when I was in the hospital -for the overnight before the surgery. It worked fine once I could convince my body to let it go (11 hours!)
Today was leftovers for lunch (and a small glass of chocolate milk for dessert!), then the Zoom meet-up. Hubby made a peppercorn pork loin on the grill and I made crispy roasted garlic-parm potatoes in the oven., plus a chopped salad with "everything " seasoning and dressing. Double-dark chocolate Milano cookies for dessert! We watched the latest Now You See Me movie , which was just okay, IMO. And we've been watching the old seasons of MASH on Hulu.
Follow up appt with MO tomorrow, followed by lunch at a surprisingly good Italian restaurant in a tiny little town halfway between here and there. Even their lunch portions are huge, so we'll get another leftover meal out of that.
Hugs to all.
5 -
My MO and Herceptin are happening tomorrow, got plenty of snacks to have sweet and salty peanut bars, reese cereal bars which are not bad and crispers, smoky bacon flavour. Those will suffice, also need to take some digestive enzymes and immodium.
I did not finish yesterday's post. Ate something that did not agree with me so got the loose D treatment, turned it off cleaned everything up including disinfection of the washer. These things happen, can't worry too much why. Blaming a ravioli I got that was not good. I took 4 immodium post haste and all is well.
Doing smaller laundry today, floors on tap as well as the cat area.
Not sure about meals, staying away from tomato sauce and will do up any sort of pasta in the rice cooker. Still got burgers in the freezer, may take some beans, red lentils, rice and a burger, season up, got ham slices from a mini shop yesterday. I will decide later, may go simple with english muffin, butter and the crunchy peanut butter. Post later on food.
Hope all do have a good day, in pockets for all.
5 -
@mara51506 sounds like you’ve got everything down pat. In your pocket for your MO followup 🌷🩵
4 -
@seeq I also liked the Purwick system at the hospital. I can get up to pee just fine but it is the solid stuff I struggle with. It is borderline constipation and painful. I try not to strain which is my problem. Believe me I am trying everything. I wonder whether there is something else going on. Right now I am concentrating on my diet. Sorry…tmi.
5 -
@mara51506 forgot to add i am praying for your treatment today and that your gut cooperates. Noone tells us we will have potty problems along with our cancer battles… I pray your transportation works out well today too. I hope you can feel my hug in your pocket.
4 -
@shanagirl - Hi Barbara, saw your post on the other thread and wanted to say that I am also very concerned about @irishlove and have wondered why we haven't heard from her in so long. I've got my fingers crossed that she's just taking a break or something and that she and her family are all doing OK🤞. Sending her good thoughts and hugs.
3 -
@threetree @shanagirl as I read through the posts for the past few days I also became concerned about @irishlove .
@mara51506 pocket duty for your treatment tomorrow.
My DD moved into her new home in PA so I’m spending a few days with her and the grands. I’ll go see my GS in Boston for a few days afterwards and then head home for treatment.
A page or so back someone mentioned Mary’s by the sea. I have a reservation to go Tuesday January 5th. I just took the first dates available bc there so much going on between my husband granddaughter and myself that I’m sure if and when the time comes I’ll more than need it.
Tanya
6 -
@tanya_djamila - Yes, I think several of us in particular are becoming quite concerned about Irishlove. I do hope we hear something soon.
Very nice that you can spend some time with your family in other states. I've been to PA before, but never Boston, although I 'd like to see it sometime.
Glad too to hear that you are going to try Mary's by the Sea. I only recently heard about it myself and I did look it up online. I didn't spend too much time on the details, however, as i was having one of my frequent very menatlly fatigued times. I hope you have a really nice time there, and please be sure to let us all know how it goes.
3 -
@threetree @tanya_djamila Yes, I’ve been concerned. I sent her a messsage. Hopefully she’s just taking some alone time. It’s just not like her to go MIA. Thanks for sharing with me you also were thinking of our girl sweet @irishlove
@mara51506 In your Pocket for your treatment tomorrow.💗💕
I also heard about Mary’s by the Sea from a recent post here the other day @tanya_djamila . I think it’s great you made a reservation fo a stay.
I know where it is. it;s in Ocean Grove right on the ocean. I used to livein Belmar the next 2 towns over. I believe one or two of my neighbors were involved with running it. It’s very lovely and right there in the midst of a lovely little shore town.
4 -
I did not manage to get out for Herceptin, managed to get another stomach bug/Big D. Will be cancelling Paratransit and the cancer centre to cancel appointment. Got new appointment in 3 weeks or so.
Did not help that the few bites of food before being sick were so gross. The popcorn seasoning cheddar cheese I usually use was the culprit, could not finish breakfast, dumped in trash and the bit of red lentil meal was awful too. Tossing it out too.
I feel hungry again but sticking to egg etc. Might also just do rice or Kraft Dinner type stuff, the cheese powder and taco blend of dry seasoning is good. Stop adding everything to the rice cooker. Rice should go in the rice cooker. Oh well.
4 -
@tanya_djamila In your pocket for appt today, glad you have a good lunch to look forward to today.😊Oh yes Mary's By the Sea @shanagirl mentioned first then I chimed in last week. Sounds like a nice experience, I just never pulled the trigger on it. Will be looking forward to hearing about it. Happy to hear your visiting DD new place, enjoy!
@mara51506 Oh no..ugh! I hope it's a quick 24hr bug, fingers crossed.Hugs❤️
Echoing the concerns for our sweet irishlove🤞
Had a lovely day yesterday with my gf, beautiful Fall outside browsing/shopping and lunch 😊
3 -
It looks like @irishlove logged into BCO yesterday (10-6) or this morning (4:13) - depending on where you look. So, maybe just not feeling up to posting? Sending hugs either way.
I'm sitting in the waiting room waiting for DH, who is having minor surgery. It should be short and no recovery time, to speak of.
I had my MO appt, and he confirmed all was good with scans. Said not to worry sour about BUN and BUN/creatinine numbers trending up. We reviewed whether a mammogram would be a good idea - apparently it can be helpful for some who have been in treatment for a long time. My breast tumor was so tiny, he decided not to worry about it unless it shows up on PET. 🤷♀️ He also wants bloodwork redone at 3 mos, but I can have that done closer to home. He said something about WBC sometimes dropping (abruptly?) Again, for patients who have been on a treatment for a long time. I guess he feels like he needs to keep closer tabs on me. I'm 9n the fence about whether that's worrisome or a good thing.
@mara51506- I'm sorry you missed your appts and hope you're feeling better soon.
@chicagoan - your upcoming family visits sound fun. We were thinking about traveling to Boston during our upcoming road trip, but decided we don't need to go that far this time. That might be a flying trip.
Gotta go. Love to all.
5 -
In addition to @irishlove , I would also love to know if anyone has heard from @eleanora . She had just started Xeloda the last time I heard from her on the Xeloda thread, and had been having some problems, but things were looking up as she had an appointment with a different oncologist scheduled a few days out, but then have not seen her post anywhere here or on the Xeloda thread since then.
