@goldensrbest Sending prayers the ablation procedure for your DH will go well and provide the right results. Praying also for you during the waiting time and as you care for him afterwards.

@mara51506 Praying your travel and procedures go smoothly this time.

@cookie54 I agree and have never jumped on the October band wagon. I guess I never trusted the Komen band wagon even though the San Diego walkathon used to go right by our condo. I make sure I know exactly where my donations end up. I do, however, freely share with anyone who honestly asks questions. I went into this whole diagnosis fairly ignorant.

@mara51506 and @goldensrbest Still with you as you await your results and DH recovery.

My blood work looked good yesterday before my chemo infusion, and my tumor markers dropped a bit. I wasn't expecting that so I soldier on! I have a PET scan and see my onc next week. I crocheted myself another slouchy beanie today as I sat here with 40 degrees outside and all-day drizzle. At least there is no snow—yet.

@intolight Oh wow nice surprise for you with TM drop and decent labs…we'll take it! Ugh I'm sure the snow isn't far behind for you, hope it's not a terrible winter. Thanks for your feedback also😊

@goldensrbest Oh I'm glad to hear it's behind you and pray that the 3 ablations corrected his A-fib🤲 Sounds like an absolute draining type of day..may each day get easier for you both, Hugs

Nice sunny cooler day here today! Heading out later with two of my childhood friends for a little shopping and a casual bite at the Cheesecake Factory. Always nice to catch up in person. I have been busy getting supplies together for my son as he is moving out on his own 11/1. I will miss having him here but I'm very excited for him to spread his wings. He found a condo rental 20 minutes away, close to his gf and work. So empty nesters for us soon but will still have Buster🙃

In the pockets for all appointment and struggles may you find the strength you need to get through today❤️

@goldensrbest-What a day! Hope that these ablations did the trick and that your husband will be feeling much better.

@intolight-Congrats on your good scans. I'm not ready for snow yet. We had weather in the 80's a few days ago and I was loving it.

@cookie54-Happy for your son on finding his own place. Hope he enjoys it and that you and your hubby enjoy your empty nest!

@goldensrbest I am glad you and your husband made it through a LONG day and that a kind friend made and left you dinner. I can believe how tired and hungry it is after a long day in hospital. I was a starving marvin after just a simple MRI. I am sure it will be a similar thing when I get home Friday after my routine echo. Having Herceptin makes me hungry. In pockets for you both on ablation results.

I slept two places, fell asleep on couch, probably 5 hours later last night. I had one of those moments, was unsure where my cane went, almost bought a new one but stopped myself because I thought there was no way got off Paratransit without it. At 230 am I went back to the mail box and lo and behold, there was the missing cane, had set it aside so could open my mailbox and it was hidden behind a fake plant in the building. So glad I saved my money. I still had a twin of the cane but was unhappy with just the one.

Since had all that fast food yesterday, sticking to rice and chopped up beans, dump in rice cooker and cooker on the long rice setting. For meal one, will eat beans, rice and when ready to spoon it out, add queso. May also add garlic whilst in rice cooker. Meals posted later. Later make up an egg in the mini griddle and chop it and some beans together and again decide what seasoning need or if I want to add a microwaved burrito to the mix, will see later as usual. I was also looking at the coolwhip and yogurt I need to eat up and even apple sauce, thought I could do a combo sort of thing this afternoon. Yogurt is a faint strawberry flavour and I still have mio which can add fruit punch or strawberry flavour to it, have some fruit punch I bought, drink of choice with my burger meals from McDonalds

Put together a larger Walmart grocery order, lots of deli type meat, more lentils, they don't sell the great value ones but they are all good, lots of burritos and 2 more tostitos queso. No other junk foods need or wanted. Can get extra in the weeks between Klarna payments. I like to pay the Walmart large order through Klarna and pick up bits and bobs through regular insta cart since there is a variety of stores to choose and less for delivery. I also got myself some shortbread cookies by Walkers. They are always good.

MEAL 1 HOLY CRAP it was super good. Since groceries did not arrive til 1245pm, went a different way. Opened up lentils, took 1/2 cup, put some of the deli meat in the chopper as well, salami I think. Pkg comes with ham, salami and bologna. Chopped up finely. Heated 3 mins in microwave brought plate out. Added bit of tostitos queso and a squeeze of the sour cream and lime as well, stirred up, ate it and it was heaven in my mouth, I really enjoyed it.

Meal 2 Very similar, put in 1/2 cup lentils, the deli meat, salami, shredded cheese as well. Ran it through my chopper, dumped onto a plate, put microwave for 4 mins this time, It was bound with queso and mayo, seasoned with powdered cheese seasoning. It was also delicious and quite enjoyable. After dinner, pulled out 2 of the Walkers short breads and drank some fruit t ype punch. I enjoyed this meal too.

Laundry, cat area and floors are chores as usual. Turned off the window fan, though apt his HOT, it is a little cool to be running the fan part, may just open the window above the fan a bit. Getting to be cooler at night so looking at having DB help me take out AC and put in screen, I would do it if I could get the screen properly but not confident in my own abilities as have bent previous screens. Oh well, he will help me. Keep the AC running longer and be useful for next year.

I hope all have a great day, and I am in pockets for all for good days, tired days or bad days, all of the above.

I slept well enough, was warmer in my bedroom, cooling things off currently though temps are dropping throughout afternoon and dropping to freezing tonight. That is alright. Was 85 thanks to the heat this morning in living room. Put on split AC to assist in cooling, turned on the window fan. Window AC on in bedroom as well.

Laundry, floors and meals await me. Not sure what to have, might take rice cooker and make up some rice in the rice cooker first, do up some beans, lentils and cheese, chop them up with some deli meat in the chopper on top of pre cooked rice. Might add a bit of the cheddar seasoning to the rice as well. That would be good, put rice on plate and top with the chopped beans, lentil and cheese, microwave 3 to 4 mins. Later may do up some hash browns, eggs and an english muffin or do those first, I will see.

MEAL 1 was delicious, had the rice, lentils, meat, beans and cheese chopped up together with some doritos. Dumped on top of the rice. Was super good.

MEAL 2 a Mcdouble meal from mcdonalds as I was starving and had to wait over an hour for the Paratransit.

Echocardiogram happens this afternoon, just routine so no concerns. No Holter was ordered either, not by MO or other doctor so that is good. When I called the echo place, woman said they would mail out the holter stuff anyway.

I hope all have a good day, in pockets for appointments, side effects or just to hear about the good stuff going on for you.

@cookie54 thinking of you today and glad it’s most likely not cellulitis. I guess our treatments cause our immune systems to weaken and anything can show up on our skin

I hope you do a rain check with your gf’s for the Cheescake Factory. I went there once yeas ago with both my daughters and loved it much, but I’ve never gone back, but now you’ve got me craving it 😋

@mara51506 @threetree @cookie54 @goldensrbest I will be thinking of you all throughout the day as you go through scans, tests, and recovery. It is good to get scans done before the weekend so you can relax. I have a PET scan scheduled for Monday morning but since my tumor markers are going down I am more interested rather than anxious. Of course things can turn quickly.

Morning ladies, it's a cool rainy one here so far. Thanks for the well wishes my arm looks pretty much normal today! Glad antibiotics seemed to have stopped it before it really started.

@seeq All so true!!! Enjoy your short trip, safe travels.

@threetree In your pocket for Monday's scan, glad the drop in TM helped with scanxiety!🤞

Hope everyone had a decent day with appointments yesterday..I'll check in later.💕

    Good morning Ladies

@mara51506 Happy Belated Thanksgiving. Very nice for your angel to gift that beautiful dinner. Kindness is wonderful.

@goldensrbest im glad your ablation is done and your DH has finished his heart procedure. Special awards and clapping 👏🏿 for your friends who had dinner ready after all day at appointment.

@threetree pocket duty for tomorrow .

@cookie54 im glad the cellulitis scare was handled so efficiently. We really do know how our bodies behave.

@seeq nice to see you. I did the pink walks for years. Helped do educational things for kids and adults. The last few times I participated things were looking like a Mardi Gras party with people with sequin pointy bras; even men. Then Covid happened . I guess I passed the pink torch now. Good to see you. My husband and I have treatment on mondays now so I don’t get to see anyone or join the call. Please tell everyone I send my regards and hugs. Thank you.

@intolight good luck with your upcoming scans. My DH scans tomorrow for first time after 3 treatments. Happy to hear your tm decreased.

@shanagirl it sounds like you’re really healed now. You must do cheesecake factory again.

    Take care

    Tanya

@mara51506 Great perspective on the worry issue! I loved a quote I saved..I try my best also to follow it..not always easy!

@candy-678 Hey there thanks for checking in, I think of you often. We'll all be squeezed in your pocket for Dec. scan, that's for sure! Fingers and toes crossed that your treatment is doing it's job and your uncomfortable side effects aren't in vain🤞❤️

Our DD and husband are coming over to watch the Eagles game today. We were supposed to go to a game watch party on the beach in their town but winds are crazy today apparently from a coastal storm heading up from Virginia area. So we pivot.. beef bourguignon in the crockpot and mashed potatoes made. Will go to the store soon for some munchies. Not expecting much from the game since we have a TON of injuries but it's a nice football Sunday regardless.

Continued prayers for all here for strength and healing this week ahead.

@shanagirl Hope you had a good visit from DS and GF and good food as well from your BBQ.

I slept decently surprisingly enough, was almost up at 6 to use the washroom but my body gave me a break and allowed an 830 am wake up instead which was better.

Got Paratransit booked forThursday, get results of MRI which I do not feel worried about at this point, will find out results soon enough.

Laundry on the go, floors, cat area needs doing and that is about it. Tigger is being a pickle about me typing, he wants to sit, I want to type. I move him beside me, he climbs up on my chest. I don't have a desk either so typing happens on my legs which are bent upward. Ava is sitting on the ottoman ahead of the couch so she is comfortable.

Meals are up in the air, thinking I want hashbrowns and an egg sandwich possibly, do not want to buy it. Got plenty of the deli meat left, may freeze some of it. If I do not go the egg sandwich route, beans and lentils can fill the bill, add some rice to the party. Anyhow, will post any interesting meal.

MEAL 1 Bit of a strange one for me, I took a can of roast beef and veg soup, took a bunch of the liquid and drained into a container to use later, took half of what was left, put in another container. I figure this stuff would do well with chopped beans or canned lentils. I put in some red lentils in the rice cooker with water and I have maybe a third of the can of soup. Not chopping up beans or adding lentils, there are potatoes and carrots and a green bean in there already. Will cut up english muffin and toast a slice with garlic spread to have on the side. It is set to cook up for an hour and 20 mins.

I hope everyone has a really good day, in pockets for good, bad and ugly stuff as well.

Just stopping in for a minute to say hi to all, but can't write much at this time. Unlike Shana's post above, mine isn't because I'll be entertaining. It's because I'm so wiped out. Had scans Friday and all results back so far show stable and nothing of note. Getting them wore me out more than ever this time (long story), and then yesterday I had some bad stomach trouble, and am feeling really weak and tired because of it. I don't think it's any big deal and it will pass, but I'm just too tired right now to get back to people individually and specifically. I continue to read along and care about everyone's ups and downs. I have an all day work Zoom training tomorrow, so have to rest today and regain some energy, expecially for tomorrow.

I really hope everyone had a good week-end. We had some nice sun and blue sky here and it was lovely.

@threetree Yay for stable. That’s always good to hear. And yes, those scan days do wipe me out also, take a good rest today and enjoy not rushing to get to an appointment and then dealing with the waits and needles and yucky drinks. It’s all too much. Stage IV sucks. Enjoy the day.

@mara51506 yes I had a wonderful suprise when my Son ad his partner visited yesterday. They brought my lovely youngest Grandaughter as a suprise for me and DH. I had not seen her since my visit to FT Myers in May. So it was a wonderful visit.

I always love McDonald’s has browns and an Egg & bacon McGriddle sandwich 😋yum

@cookie54 I’m glad your arm has been ok so far and you ar enjoying the Game with your dad & Husband and tha beef ans mashed potatoes.

Speaking of arm stuff, I was reminded of my ongoing arm situation since my August 4 Hospitalization for the Pneumonia relapse. it’s be like 2 months since I was hooked up to the IV for the iron infusion in my right arm, I kept warning them that I am always a hard stick because my veins in my arm are so sensitive and end up exploding after they keep trying to stick me. My only good place for IV’s and blood withdrawals is th top of my right hand whereI never have a problem and they use a small pediatric needle. Never any bruising. Yet I’m so frustrate now because I am still badly bruised and there is a big spot in the middle of the bruise that show where they taped a piece of cotton and gauze. I’m so self conscious of the mark. I’m glad it’s cooler weather so I can hide it with long sleeves but it really bothers me. Here’s a picture I took yesterday. 😟
