Good morning, Loungettes! Waking up to the news of the doings in Cambridge and Watertown. Part of me is glad the bombers have been identified and are getting what 's coming to them, part of me is horrified that this is happening so close to home. Such a world we live in these days.

Cammy--Wow, what a weather roller coaster your weather is! I've got to admit that I like watching thunderstorms, but all night long is another thing, I needs my beauty sleep! Coffee is good, mine just finished perking, got my first cup going. Yum. A visit with your cousin sounds like fun!
Wahine--I wonder where the phrase "work like a dog" came from? The dogs I know have pretty cushy lives, play, nap, eat, play, nap, eat, I could live like that! Of course, if I worked as hard as Sadie plays I'd never have a messy house or be behind on paperwork at work!
DorKable--52 degrees and rising here, so getting to 60 isn't out of the question! Of course, it's drizzling. Eventually we'll get a warm day WITH SUNSHINE! And without wind, would be nice. I remember letting the yard and garden go during treatment and recon. Just not enough energy to go around at that time. I am enjoying getting things back on track and looking forward to more work in the yard this summer. If it ever gets here. . . .

Princess Glitter Sizzles DOTD is the Texas Teas
2 oz tequila
2 oz rum
2 oz vodka
2 oz gin
2 oz bourbon whiskey
2 oz triple sec
2 oz sweet and sour mix
Fill a 1 gallon pitcher with ice. Add all the ingredients except the coca-cola. Stir, then add the coca-cola and stir again. Pour into your favorite glass with ice and enjoy.

I've been watching this damn thing the whole ime and I fall asleep and bang everything happens--OMG this is insane--so many things are coming out about them and the youngest grew up like a very nice guy among the high school groups--No one at this point can figure if these guys out, cuz there was no afer thought about what to do--or (my theory) did the larger network disown them cuz they went to public--so they didn't wnt any part of them for their exposure??? So they hope to get the other one alive totalk maybe--but he for sure is the weak link between the brothers--he was so normal for to many years, or so it seems. They really closed a whole city down, it seems if it wasn't for all the videos and pictures of these guys they wouldn't have know who they were. I'm sure that wasn't part of the plan. It's strange how they panicked killing a P O and robbing a convenient store---for money??? Almost to easy if they were part of anything they were thrown under the bus and if not they must have thought they'd die soon.OOHH I watch to much TV. It's strange cuz the USA was so good to them and took them out of the war they were in and gave them solace.
And it seems TX was an accident--those poor people what a tragedy for that whole town--so destroyed.
Well planters hold off more cold is coming, Wacky spring. It's chilly here today--WTF--I'm all bundled up, last night my Katie-Kat got under the coveers with me, she doesn't do that often. LOL
Well I have o take a shower (about time) cuz company is coming so I have to smell good at least cuz lookin' good is a far stretch.

Heading to the casinos for a few days.....will try to pop in and let you know how BIG I am winning....yeah right.....only BIG winnings will be all the good food and drinks, then I will be BIG(ger). Yes, Orla..I would stay away from Boston for a while. My boys were glued to the tv this morning with all that stuff going on and all the phone calls about transportation in and out of Boston..they shut everything down but not the airport thank God..but the T was halted...Amtrak and Grayhound bus service..even taxi's and car services...from what I heard. What a mess.
I was on Skype with D when the TX thing happend...how tragic. WTF is going on that all this chaos is taking place???

Well, Well,Well--Good Morning gals. The lounge is quiet lately, I don't like that, but I'm to blame too.
My cousin and his wife cam and stayed late--I was a little suprised but he said he was so glad to see me--so we had some laughs and his wife used to be veryquiet NO she talks like the rest of us and we all had a good time. And Joey fell aslepp but he was so funny he walked around asking if he could get anything for anyone. We ordered pizza--they don't have Chicago pizza there so it was good. When they left I could hardly move my pain pills came quickly--I never talked cancer cuz that's not (to me) was having fun is all about LOL but I felt it hahaha
And of course we did watch the capture of that goofy kid.What a nitemare for Boston. And Lara what about the shooters in TX--This world has gone crazy. At least our crazy is fun.
I hope everyone has a great Sat u'r ass down day and there better be scary movies on today. I can't take the news anymore.

Cammy--I haven't been able to follow the details too closely, so many of my patients have dementia and only get upset by that kind of news coverage that the facilities and families try to keep the TVs and radios off. I'm not sure if I want to get caught up over the weekend or just ignore it all.

2 oz southern comfort

1 tbsp cherry kool-aid mix, pre=sweetened

NM-I work for myself. It's been a crazy week as I run around getting last minute post-op things. Then on thursday my dad fell and fractured his pelvis and has to have surgery Monday. He's 92 and I'm not thrilled about his having surgery at that age but the doctors are optimistic. How's the Maine weather? Here it's like summer. LARA-I always make DH run around to put in gas,now I'll start going myself

Indie I'm so sorry about u'r dad but he sounds like a trooper, so I'm sure he'll be fine as u actually age operations seem to go better--not the inbetween age of old but the higher age, for some reason. I know that happened to my dad--it amazed everyone--so I hope it's all true for u'r dad.

Cammy--Yup, can be and still am getting snow. Getting snow into April is not even really unusual. A friend of mine had a baby in mid April one year, had to spend an extra day in the hospital due to a blizzard. BUT--the grass is getting green, I've got crocuses and daffodils popping up! There is hope!

Thank you all for the good wishes for my dad. Today was a tough day,hopefully his fever will go down enough for surgery tomorrow. He is in a lot of pain,he wants the surgery over with and to get into rehab. He's in great shape apparently so it looks good,still keeping fingers crossed.
