Good morning, Loungettes! I've had a totally lazy weekend. Did absolutely nothing but sleep and read all day Sunday, and most of the day Saturday. Didn't even get on the computer yesterday. Talk about LAZY!
Wahine--senoir dogs, senior parents--they both seem to go through a lot of the same things, don't they?
Karen--I hope you had an easy fast, and it sure sounds like your breaking of the fast was yummy. I know about nervous eating, I do it too.

Cammy--lots of people use the alarms on their phones to manage pills, I think it's a great idea, and I can imagine how funny it was to have all those alarms going off with different rings at a family get together!!

Good Monday morning....couldn't get out of bed this morning, so no time for a walk before work, but maybe I'll walk at lunch...it is soooo easy to get out of the habit...didn't walk yesterday cuz of the rain and cooking!!!!

Cami, Yes that WAS so funny thinking of all those alarms for pill taking going off on so many cell phones all day! I would set an alarm for my mom but she prolly wouldn't hear it. Unless it was one of those alarm clocks with humongous bells, but those I think have to be wound every day. OR she would just turn it off and not get her pills! My dad goes to the dentist this ayem, a tooth broke, or part of the veneer broke off, or something. Anyway, its on the way to the store they always drive to (just 3 mi away), so am letting my mom take him.

Heard from her this ayem....still in pain, still swollen, but I think they were going to aspirate to get the fluid down, so she was looking forward to that.

DH found a great deal on a double oven on craigslist......almost new...in fact the bottom oven hasn't been used....DH and a friend went to get it this evening.....Already tried it out...roasted a chicken to freeze for Shabbat dinner...now going to go make a marble cake....sure hope there is room in the freezer.....
Saw a post on fb from DorK to Kat.....she might bet out of the hospital tomorrow....sure hope she is finally on the mend.....

My husband and i were dressed and ready to go out for a lovely evening of dinner and theatre. Having been burgled in the past, we turned on a 'night light' and the answering machine, then put the cat in the backyard. When our cab arrived, we walked out our front door and our rather tubby cat scooted between our legs inside and ran up the stairs. Because our cat likes to chase our budgie we really didn't want to leave them unchaperoned so my husband ran inside to retrieve her and put her in the back yard again.
Because i didn't want the taxi driver to know our house was going to be empty all evening, i explained to him that my husband would be out momentarily as he was just bidding goodnight to my mother. A few minutes later he got into the cab all hot and bothered, and said (to my growing horror and amusement) as the cab pulled away.
"Sorry it took so long but the stupid bitch was hiding under the bed and i had to poke her arse with a coat hanger to get her to come out! She tried to take off so i grabbed her by the neck and wrapped her in a blanket so she wouldn't scratch me like she did last time. But it worked! I hauled her fat arse down the stairs and threw her into the backyard....she had better not shit in the vegetable garden again."
The silence in the taxi was deafening.....

DH had to wake me up this morning to tell me that my alarm was going off!!! Its an old, old clock radio and the music was playing and I didn't hear it....of course it was not even a minute that it was going!!! Ddin't realize that I set it as I figured I would sleep in a bit....but nope, alarm off at 5:15, so got up at 5:20....wanted to sleep in a bit...maybe till 6.....didn't go to bed till 1 aye am and then couldn't fall asleep!!! the bedroom was nice and cool but I was hot.....so NOT enough sleep....looking forward to TH, F when I can sleep in till 7!!!! and of course the week-end too......DD and SIL arrive this morning......can't wait to see them....
Bernie....where do you find all the jokes!!! this one had me at 1st.....but I should know better if you posted it!!!!
Beckers.....so whats the verdict on the new job? do you like it so far?
Fall is upon NM.....not quite here yet.....so much to dig out from all the flooding in parts of Colorado...they are saying its going to take a year!! so much devastation, homes lost...people who lost everything!! I can't even begin to imagine.....my neighborhood was un touched than goodness!!! Feel so blessed this way...tomorrow they are having a telethon to raise money for flood victims...I've already given to 2 charities that are donating 100% to victims and will donate again tomorrow....lots of people are out there helping others clean up...I would if I wasn't working...I know poor excuse!!!
Speaking of working...haven't been able to fully relax in the mornings the past 2 days so you know what that means!!! but time to get dressed so atleast I can get a walk even if I can't "relax" for my morning constitution (okay sorry for tmi)......
Sure hope DorK gets to go home today BUt that also she continues to rest at home so she can fully heal!!! She needs to be a good girl and take care of herself!!!

It's staying cool here for a while it seems, I really like it I had to wear a light jacket during the daytime yesterday, Joey is home sick again today--he was burning up last nite, so I'm always cold so I cuddled with him and put my cold hands on his face and his warm body felt good. I was like his giant ice cube and he was my heating pad.
I hope Dork is going home today.

Pee test came back zero drugs in my system which is hilarious I'm the pill queen
Obvious mistake if he doesn't let me re test ill sue I'm actually go to get tested at a clinic tomm
Then the nurse said I threaten her
All I did was raise my voice why the MRI request was never sent!
And she hung up in me
Of course she doesn't tell the doc that
I take panic anxiety meds 12 years told the doc so he says he will call my crazy doc
Crazy doc says pain doc is nuts
Good news ! I had to call my teacher she was responding to everyone but me so I do this online I'm thinking great she's not seeing my posts on the discussion board
Well turns out its the opposite she thinks I'm the leader in class and she has nothing to say because it's excellent work

I'm sooooo tired tonight.....4 1/2 hours sleep is just NOT enough!!!! Went to bed last night at 1 am and got up at 5:30....not going to stay up so late tonight......Need to make some cookie dough so I can bake cookies later in the week to take for Shabbat lunch....just going to make the dough...no baking....Cooked breaded tilapia for dinner tonight and had mom come over since DD and SIL arrived today...its a lot of work.....all I'm doing tonigt is baking my lasagna and manicotti I made on the week-end so all I need to do is heat it up Thursday night....and cooking gefilte fish...just put it in a pan with carrots in water!!!! Dont have the energy to do anything else!!!! Tomorrow night starts a holiday again...Sukkot....so won't be on the internet tomorrow night through Saturday night....but when I get home from work, I have to cook dinner...was going to make chicken schnitzl, but I think its too much work, so going to make orange chicken with boneless chicken breasts and mashed potatoes and a salad...think everything else is done...but of course I'm so tired now, without the menu in front of me, I can't think....
Saw a long post from DorK on fb...she sounded good...waiting for labs to come back on the infection before she can be discharged...also they are calling a surgeo in to do a debriedment...

Glad to have my DD and SIL......SIL is such a great guy...he was so social and visited with my mom more than my girls did!!

I filled a cart on my on-line computer today--I never do that but I'm spending about 80.00 today on ME--I'm going to do it--I need a few things so what the hell--we're always broke anyway I might as well enjoy something--I need winter shoes so badly and some lotion for my wrinkly face and a chillow pillow for my SIL--haha It's my money but I feel like I'm taking something away here. hahaha Oh and some new reading glasses--3 for 10.00 and of course they are kookie looking. I need sttronger ones. So I put everything in a cart and I'll go back as soon as I check with the bank.
I hope everyone has a good day--I just checked the weather it's going to be 80 today and 87 tomorrow WTF--
