Hey! I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

Cami, you're story about Joey and the bully girl pissed me off. If that were my child or grandchild, I would want to kick that kid's butt. How's Joey doing? He's lucky to have you as his grandma.

Jazzy, 29? That awesome! I would be happy if someone guessed my age at 48. Btw, I'm 48. As long as people don't think I'm older than my age, I'm good😀. The sangria and margarita look delish! If you ever want a good sangria recipe, I have a one that is excellent.

    Native, How is your knee?

Goldie, any update with respect to your DD?

Gennie, Awesome weather here, even with the rain. Love that story about Nora. She is so cute and sweet. You must love being her grandma.

Pammac, Welcome! I'm a newbie, too. Wishing you the best for an easy infusion on the 22nd. You'll be inmy thoughts, and prayers.

Rough week for me. Almost lost my health insurance, but worked it out. Jazzy, I have my insurance thru covered CA. Oy. Anyway, worked it out.

Hsant- I am very glad to hear you did not loose your insurance. Whew girlfriend.

Would love your Sangria recipe. I am thinking I may have a little party on my patio this summer for the first time in many years and looking for drink ideas beyond beer and wine. I used to make a white Sangria years ago but have long lost the recipe. Please share as you have the time! That Sangria was SO tasty!

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Monkey Day!I'm trying to be perky and bright after dragging my sleepy butt out of bed in the full pre-dawn dark.Even Sadie is dragging around and looking at me like I'm nuts. I know we'll adjust, but why, oh why, do we have to go through this every year?On the other hand I got my portable greenhouse put together yesterday, and got some seeds put in some dirt and pots and started planning out the gardens for this season.Starting to get spring fever!

Jazzy--So glad you and your friend had a good visit!Snow and hot springs, what a combo!I was already getting more light in the evening, really want the light in the morning back, guess I'll have to wait a bit for that to come back again.

Cammy--The time change really throws my whole system for a loop for a while.64 words per minute is my typing speed after the errors are taken out.Accuracy counts, you know!Anyway, it's not the speed that counts, it's the ability to communicate that's important. So glad you slept through the night!Hooray!

Goldie--I found the same typing speed site! What a coincidence.I get slowed down by the backspacing and corrections, too.I remember taking typing in high school, learning how to use carbon paper to make copies, that was back in the day when if you made a typo you had to start over cuz the carbon copies would be messy!Way different with computers these days, but the ability to touch type has been a real benefit for me over the years. You guys always seem to come out just a little bit ahead at the casinos, good job!And the concert sounds like it was a blast! So nice they turned the lights down for you!

    WOW!Look at those pics!Amazing!

Pam--Good for you out riding! It's really important to keep trying to live a life during bc treatment.Hard to do sometimes, though.I hear you about the accountability, or lack thereof, to and from a dog.Although Sadie has me trained well. The sleeping trailer sounds like a real hoot and a half!Coors Lite is your drink of choice?Pants and Jock will be sure to keep the bar stocked up for you!

Hsant--the knee is much, much better, thanks!Whatever it was seems to have taken care of itself. All that's left is a tender spot that hurts if I poke at it hard enough.Glad the insurance worked out.Stressful when things like that happen.

Good morning friends- the first day daylight savings work week upon us! After the busy weekend with company, I was tired yesterday from having a busy time with company, plus taking her to the airport super earl yesterday with the spring head time change. I managed to get my act together in the afternoon to get some housework and yard work done, so I will go into the week feeling a bit more organized. What I notice these days is not having a "full weekend" to catch up around home and with errands leaves me at a deficit as I enter the week. But I also need to have fun, right? I am in better shape here at home after yesterday, just need to get some groceries in the next few days! Let the work week fun begin!

NM- I was glad to read your knee is better and has resolved itself. I wish you a good week as you adjust to the time change.

Pam- Goldie is very right about finding ways to enjoy yourself, even during treatment. The whole cancer process takes over everything from your time, to your energy, and your finances too so often that you have to find some little "happiness breaks" as I call them. Just take good care of yourself and if something feels like too much, know it will be there for you when you are better. When you are in treatment, so often it feels like everything you enjoy is gone forever, but it is not, Things return after and with time. Wishing you continued strength and comfort during treatment.

Goldie- what gardens are those, the ones in Scottsdale? I love those sculptures.

Cami- did you have a good weekend and time with Joey?

Wishing everyone else here a beautiful week.

Hsant, I consider myself lucky as I don't think I look my age. And people are always amazed when I do tell them how old I am. My brothers are the same. I guess we have some good genes in that aspect. No new news on my DD's situation. I don't bug her about it, as she works so much and just doesn't have much time to take the ferry over to St. Thomas and most of the time she is told she needs to something else. So I tell her to CALL the courts and see what she can do at this point. Maybe I'll ask today. Glad you got the insurance thing figured out.

NM, sorry for the butt dragging. You know I'm thinking of how dogs do that. Drag their butts! I'm sure you will adjust in no time. Yeah for getting the greenhouse together and seeds planted. You'll have to post a pic or two when they sprout. What did you plant? Typing in HS, and then came along electric type writers. I couldn't type on those to save my life, as we were so used to really punching those type writer keys. And I believe we used white out. Don't remember carbon copies for typing. Kool Aid, that can't be good for us, right?

Pam, your drink of choice was one of a past Loungette, Hunky Dory. She has passed on, but boy do I miss her. And Junie too, another loungette. The one thing we can tell you about going through treatment, when fatigue hits, REST! Otherwise it gets worse. Chemo only bothered me for a few days, usually starting the 3rd day after infusion. The rest of the time wasn't too bad, with treatment every 3 weeks. Radiation fatigue was the worst at the end of the week, but I seemed to recoup over the weekend.

Jazzy, it's the Dessert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix. I didn't know there was anything in Scottsdale? They don't show many pictures on their website, I guess cuz they want you to come there and see them. So I went to images after I Googled them. Hope you got rested up after your weekend fun. I have to get up rather early when I leave MI for my trip home. Airport is about a 45 minute drive. Need to return rental car, then catch a shuttle over to the terminal I depart from. Flying out at 8:30.

Cami, I hope you had a good weekend, especially D free, at least yesterday. As I think you had it Sat. And I'm sure you missed your Joey. And I hope the phones were quiet.

Surely LDB is having a goot time and should be home soon.

Missing Mary, Nancy and my Wacko friend Dara. Thinking of you girl, since the loss of your daddy.

Most of you know my DD cleans these extravagant Villa's on St. John. Well, whatever guests leave behind, she can keep them. Here is what was left behind on her clean yesterday! Happy Monkey Day!

    Good evening!

Goldie, you and your DD could be sisters, so it's not surprising to hear that. I can totally see myself going for those 3 bottles of prosecco in that fridge. Fast and furious. Laughlin sounds like fun. The last time my DH husband and I were in Vegas about 13 years ago, I lost a buck playing the slots. I miss that dollar. Just kidding (kind of).

Pammac, My husband has a BMW sport bike. He's very much into the Moto GP, and goes to Laguana Seca every year for the race. Harley's are beautiful. They are works of art. It sounds like you may live on the west coast. Have you been to the Rock Store in CA?

    My DOTD:

    Sangria: serves around 6

1/4 cup of orange liquor (I like Cointreau)

    1/2 cup of brandy

1 bottle of red wine (I always use a Rioja)

    2 apples cut into wedges

    2 oranges, sliced

Strawberries cored and cut into halves

2 cups of cold sparkling water

In a pitcher or punch bowl add the the fruit.

Next, the orange liquor, brandy and wine

    Give it a good stir.

Refrigerate for 24 hours. This will bring out the natural sweetness of the fruit, and additional sweetener won't be necessary.

Add the sparkling water right before serving.

I have also made this with Sauvignon blanc. Instead of apples and oranges (although those fruit would work), I use cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon and lemon. If you have one of those melon ball apparatus thingies, it really makes the fruit look pretty in a pitcher.

I have never made a sangria with a dry rose, but I think that's another wine that would work really well.

Last night I made pan-seared mahi mahi (it was wild-caught, fresh and on sale) and sugar-snap peas. Bob wanted to open the bottle of Taittinger Brut his office gave us as a Bon Voyage present but didn't drink on the cruise because we were on a drink plan that allowed us champagne whenever we wanted. So I chilled it, and we enjoyed it last night. Yum!

And Cami, it is hard to keep my weight steady (never mind trying to lose any on letrozole), so I try to make my meals as low-carb and portion-controlled as I can. If I have quiche, I’ll take half home (in fact I usually pack half my entree as soon as it arrives) and not eat the crust. Gordy gets some pretty darn good leftovers, let me tell ya! But this letrozole has been giving me chocolate cravings and unfortunately I’ve been giving in (not on a large scale, though--for me, a carb binge is 2 cookies, a piece of bread, a bowl of Special K or 1/2 c. of ice cream a day. I don’t know how some women (especially the skinny ones) can drown their sorrows in a pint of ice cream or a bag of Oreos without puking (even without chemo). Today was “Pie Day” (3/14, or Pi--3.14) so dinner tonight was frozen cauliflower-crust pizza. The crust was soggy and stuck to the pan no matter what, and still tastes & smells like cauliflower, so I should just have ordered a regular pizza and eaten the toppings instead.

    HI GIRLS.

YIKES I'M STILL AWAKE, I HATE THIS--OH WELL I HAVE TV, BUT NO CALLS TO INTERRUPT MY SHOWS THO.

THE SANGRIA REALLY SOUNDS GOOD. U GALS MAKE EVERYTHING SOUND SO YUMMY. I CAN NEVER DESCRIBE WELL, I WAS NEVER ACCUSED OF BEING A WORDSMITH.

MY DD (LESLIE) HAS A RESPIRATORY INFECT.--SO NO ONE HAS BEEN NEAR HER AND HER DH FOLLOWS HER AROUND WITH THE LYSOL,HE MAKES ME LOL, BUT I PUT JOEY TO BED TONITE AND SANG HIM A SONG I WAS MAKING UP, IT WAS STUPIDBUT I WAS SINGING ABOUT WHISKEY AND WINE AND A GREAT TIME , AFTER I THOUGHT JEEZ THIS KID IS 11 AND THE SONGS I MAKE UP ARE HORRIBLE FOR HIM, WELL THEY'RE JUST PLAIN HORRIBLE. BUT WE WERE LOLING SO THAT'S FINE.

OK THAT'S ALL MY NEWS, OF COURSE I DID SOME STUPID THINGS WITH WORK TODAY, BUT THAT'S A GIVEN.

Good morning, Loungettes! Happy Twofer Tuesday! What all are we have two of today? We've got our every other week meeting today, which has become very long and very painful with the new system.I'll be very glad when this part gets worked out and flowing smoothly. It doesn't seem to be working very well for our Medical Director.Hopefully that will get better.

Jazzy--I've got the same problem with housework, except that I haven't had the energy to get it all done every weekend even when I don't leave the house!I'm hoping that will get better after I adjust to the time change and get some more sunlight in the mornings again.

Goldie--I call that thing the dogs do the butt scoot!White out wasn't allowed in my typing class, it was years afterbefore I discovered it!I learned on electric typewriters, so I never had that adjustment from manual to electric, guess I was lucky that way.NowadaysI have the opposite problem with keys responding when I just brush them and don't intend to use them!Kool Aid can't be good for us, it has color! But is sure can be fun!Wow, your DD really cleaned up (pun intended) with that villa!

Cammy--The time change is as good a reason for blank brain syndrome as any!You should take the typing test just for fun, you might surprise yourself! And you don't have to post your speed here if you don't want to.I did it mostly for curiosity's sake.

Hsant--great Sangria recipe and variations!I'm going to copy it for my recipe list!

Chi--I've wondered about some of those alternative pizza crust recipes, especially the ones using cauliflower and various squashes.I just don't see how they can come remotely close to a real crust!I celebrated Pi Day by eating dinner a local restaurant known for it's great pies, and had a slice of custard pie for dessert.Yummy!

Cammy--I can just picture Leslie coughing and sniffling, her DH spritzing Lysol everywhere, and you singing bawdy songs to Joey at bedtime! What a household!

    Beware the Ides of March!

    Princess Leia of Maine's DOTD:

    Ides of March

    1 1⁄2 oz Bourbon, Maker's Mark

    1 oz Aperol

3⁄4 oz Blood orange syrup (see notes)

    1⁄4 oz Lemon juice

1 twst Lemon peel (as garnish)

    Instructions

Shake, strain, straight up, cocktail glass, garnish

    Notes

To make blood orange syrup: Mix 2 cups blood orange juice, 6 tablespoons sugar, and 1 tablespoon grated blood orange peel. Stir all ingredients in heavy saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and boil until syrup is reduced to 1 cup, about 20 minutes. Refrigerate. Use within a few days of making.

    History

This drink was inspired by the Caesar (bourbon and Campari). An earlier version included blood orange juice and grenadine, but the substitution of blood orange syrup provides the necessary sweetness and eliminates the need for grenadine.

Good morning ladies! Sorry I have been MIA so long. I have had a lot going on. We had to put our house up for sale and 3 days later it sold. So I have been house hunting and we found one. Now I'm packing. We should be moving May 6. My dragon boat season starts next month. A and the Koman Race for the cure is next month yay!

Jackson turned four last week so we had a party for him last weekend. Samarah helped me make cookies and turned the mixer on a little too fast and got flour all over her and tells me sorry Nana I get carried away some times lol.

Lori I love the picture of you and Sue. You guys look so good.

Sue Lovebyou and hope your doing well.

NM what did you do to your knee?

Mary I hope you have a great time on your vacation. I love Arizona its so pretty.

Dorothy I'm so sorry about your dad.. I miss mine every day.

Cami I love your stories. You make my day

    Gotta go, love you girls

Cami, we don't always come out even or ahead, but if we have lost some money, it would probably only be about $50. Hubby is too tight with our money to just throw it away!

Hsant, SISTERS? My DD and I. Well, I don't think I look quite that young! But thank you. Guess I don't know what Prosecco is, as I don't see it. Vegas is just not for us, plus a little further away. Laughlin is just right. A little mini Vegas full of old people! Except in the summer, then you have all ages, as folks are there with their Jet Skis to play on the Colorado River.

Sandy, I gained about 20 lbs on Arimidex. Docs told me to not even try to lose the weight, it's not happening. I think I would have just made some Cauliflower, and forgot the pizza. I love my veggies.

Oh my Cami, whiskey, wine and great time! At least it rhymes! I'm surprised Joey was able to sleep, I would expect some laughter. Sorry about Les, I hope she feels better soon.

NM, sounds like the Medical Director needs to step it up. What's the problem? You seem to like the new system A LOT. Butt Scoot and Boogie! LOL. Well, I guess I AM older than you, which is why you didn't learn on manual typewriter. I was already out of school when they came along, and didn't need typing skills for anything I was doing. Worked in a nursing home. Didn't need to type until I got a computer in 1999.I did do the typing test, didn't do as good as I thought I would, but did get average.

Hey Nancy! Good to see you. Sorry about your house, but glad it sold quickly. How sweet of Samarah to say sorryI get carried away. How are all of the wedding plans going? Happy Birthday to Jackson.

    Morning DahhhLinKs!!

I am back home with a head cold and a little cold in my chest. So had to cancel the 'rear' test today, they don't want to put me under while I have this cold. Rescheduled for the 29th. Had a marvelous time in CA with mese aunties. Was the laziest and most restful 4 days I've had in years. Rain and wind only 1 day, but it was light so not a problem.

I skimmed the posts from yest til today and can't remember much.

Nancy - sorry about the house....jes kno that I lubs you and pray for you often...(((Nancy)))

Jazz- good luck wth the demo.

Lowee - I learned on a manual too, with carbon paper as well. Then came the electric ones, then computer. I had a co-worker on my arse til I relented and went to the computer. I must say it was easier. Glad to hear you had a good time in Laughlin, came out even. Can't believe BJ is 73, how sweet of him to have the lights turned down for you. He still looks good!

NM - forgot all about Ides of March. That DOTD sounds delish but some work involved. Hoping you get thru this phase of the new system. I for one am adverse to change. I get comfortable with one method and don't wanna try new ones.

Cami, Hsant, Sandy, Miss Dara (miss you, sending BIG HUGZ) Welcome Pam hope you enjoy the HTL like we do.

    Gotta run....lubslubslubs you all!!

Hi friends- the demo went well, turned out to be the easier part of the day! They are redoing the seating here and so the place is a noisey mess here. I am leaving early today, I cannot stand the racket here!

Goldie- I gained about 20 pounds too since I started the AIs. I talked to my MO at length about this last visit. I said "we get lectured about keeping our weight down, but get put on drugs that make us gain weight, what is the deal here?" No good answers to any of this.

Good morning, Loungettes!Let's see, where are we at?Oh yes, Happy Humpday!Raining here, gloomy but still better than snow!Hopefully the snow is gone for this season.Hopefully I'll adjust to getting up at Oh Dark Hundred again soon.

Collett--Wow, you have been busy!So sorry you had to put the house up for sale, so glad it sold quickly, and I hope you got your asking price for it.Then house hunting, packing and moving, and dragon boat season and a run coming right up, you are not going to have a spare second!I can just picture and you and Samarah in the kitchen and flour flying everywhere!I banged up my knee by stumbling and falling down on the curb on the first day of vacay--the evening before the cruise. It was a little stiff and sore on the cruise, but got worse after I got home with swelling and more pain. But now it's cleared up--no more swelling, gets a bit sore by the end of the day and has a tender spot or two, but no real pain.Happy Birthday to Jackson!

Goldie--The Medical Director is actually pretty computer savvy, the problem is that the new system requires him to go to 4 screens before he can sign off on a patient, and we can review the case verbally in the time it takes him to pull up the first 2 screens. He can only see certain notes we've put in, so we've had to learn where he can see the data and make sure we put it in that spot.So our formerly 1 1/2 to max 2 hour meeting runs 5 hours or more, with the first hour or so spent fixing problems so the Medical Director can even start. It's a disappointing aspect of the new system.Average on typing speed isn't bad!

    Jazzy--oh, you poor woman!

Mema--I hear you about getting comfortable with a way of doing something.Sometimes change is just change for the sake of change and is just too much. This new documentation system is a good change, though, even if it has some disappointments.

Juliet--I've heard of Dragon Speech, supposed to be pretty good.

Jazzy--glad the demo went well.Glad you asked your doc about the weight thing. Not surprised you didn't get an answer, though.

Collett--Pretty house!I really like the open floor plan, and really, really like the sun room! The kitchen looks really workable and well laid out.

Jazzy, hope your demo went well! Ahhhh, I see it did. As for weight gain, and pills that do it, but yet they want us to keep weight down. I know right? I've always been thin, when I was younger I would gorge to try and gain weight! Not anymore! It's hard for me to remain in the 150's.

LDB, welcome home. Glad you had a goot time, bummer on the cold, and delaying the heiny scope! BJ does still look good, especially for his age. I'd date him! But I married, and so his he, for over 40 years.

    Julie, what is Dragon speech?

WOW NANCY, new house is BeeeeeeUTIFUL.

NM, hopefully they will get those bugs worked out so your meetings aren't 5 hours long. Yikes! 3 Wisemen, looks like they can put a jump in our step!

Dental friend will be here any time, helping her again today with some computer stuff. She is just learning!

Good morning friends- having a hard time with the time change this morning. Over slept by an hour but still okay with respect to getting to work when I need to. Looking forward to getting through this week and then my body should be adjusted. Hope the same for all of you?

NM- I am so glad the knee problems resolved themselves. It sounds like your screens are bogging down your provider workflow. I think the E H R s are more burdensome to providers at this point. I notice my docs spend more time looking at the computer screen than at me during our office visit.

My BS who gives me the most crap about extra weight saying women who have had bc and are overweight don't do as well. That was super frustrating to me when she said it, and also because she does not manage my AIs. She tried to though, and I found an MO and would not let her do that. She is a good BS, but not an MO. He said to try Weight Watchers which I have, and we can also think about an endocrinologist referral next visit. I had a friend who had a hard time loosing weight because of thyroid issues and she was able to loose weight with the help of that specialist. He more or less said don't worry about it, I am doing fine?

Ncolette- that is your new house, correct? It is SO beautiful and you have done such a nice job with the decor. I love the hard woods floors and the little sun room too. I hope you are feeling more settled in. Moving is no small job for anyone. I wish you many happy years in your new home.

Wishing you all a good day!

    Morning DahhhhLinks!!

Lowee - booTful pics of the botanical garden. On my road trip with the other Lori we visited one. I took a lot of pics too very similar to those u posted. But mine are all on my old phone (no service) so I can't get them transferred to my computer. My fault for not doing that right away.

Pam - You are blessed to be so free. I'm sad u have to be on this site tho, but it sounds like mentally you have a handle on this ratbastard. I haven't read much of the posts since I've been back, but it seems u r still in treatment. I applaud you for continuing to live your life that way you want to. HugZ.

Hsant - I am 61, hope to celebrate my 62 in Nov. Are you still caring for your dad? Glad you worked out your health insurance, wudn't be good to be without it. I notice your dx date and a bilat-mastectomy in the same month. What is your status now, are you going thru reconstruction?

NM - a portable greenhouse, sounds cool. Ya gonna plant any weed? J/k. 64wpm is admirable, very much so. Out of high school I was a 80wpm and 100 in shorthand. Can't remember a damn thing about the s/h but can still type pretty fast. Glad your knee is pretty much healed. That dungeon Punch sounds yummy. I haven't made kool-aid in years. The 3 wisemen looks like something that would drop me in seconds…LOL

Nancy - the house is BooTful!!! How have ur seizures been? Miss you!

Cami - I'll take that typing test if you will…dare ya, LOL.

Jazz - good for you…glad the demo went well. I put on 20lbs during tx…a lot was the steroids. In the last 9 mos or so I have lost that 20 plus another 20. Don't know why but just lost my appetite. My constant dry mouth was the catalyst tho. I love to eat but now it's half of what my norm was, so idk.

Thanks everyone! Not moved in yet. Those are pictures from I took when we were there. We move May 6. I promise to take pictures after we get in.

Mema I have been admitted to the Stress Center in their partial hospitalization program because my seizures were non stop since the cruise. This was about Three weeks ago. I just couldn't take any more with everything going on financially and had thoughts of hurting my self. So my neuropsychologist walked me over to the Stress Center which is across the street from the hospital. I go Mon-Fri 8am-2pm for intensive group therapy. It has helped tremendously! They have me see a Psychiatrist every week and she has added a new med called Lamectil which is a antidepressant/seizure medication. Not only is my mood better but my seizures are gone! 😃 Next week I am being downgraded to IOP which is still 5 days a week but 9-12 instead of 8-2 so 4 hrs instead of 7. I miss you too and think of you often my Mema ❤️😘

NM so glad your knee is better. I do like to be active. I have the Race for the cure coming up April 16. I don't run though I walk 😜. This Monday I get to go to a Pacers game with the other Komen Ambassadors. Jordan Hill he plays for the Pacers invited us to be his guest at the game and we get to be in his suite and Indy Car driver Pippa Mann is going to be with us to so I'm very excited to be able to do that. I love watching the Pacers and I love Pippa. She has a Pink Komen car. Also Jordan's mom died from breast cancer so he tries to give back when he can.

Race season starts for me soon. We have a team meeting for veterans next week and a all team meeting next month. I'll let you know where we are racing then.

Hi girls, hope everyone is doing ok. I have a bit of time before getting ready for bed, I've gotten on here and started typing and then don't finish and think I'll come back later and next thing ya know it's a day later. Anywho, I'll tail ya all what I've been up to and then read back a ways. My foot is still bothering me, I go back to podiatrist next week, maybe I'll end up in a boot, we'll see. Also, I have this purple spot on my right lower eyelid, my optometrist thought I should have it looked at and told me I should go to a specialist type dermatologist and gave me his card. Well that was in early Feb and the spot has gotten a tiny bit darker and now I'm getting one on the other eyelid and I get on the internet and read about eyelid cancer and my mind goes places it shouldn't so I booked the appt. I went today and the dermatologist said he is not the right kind of doctor and he doesn't know my OD and doesn't know why he referred me to him. He thinks I should make an appt with an occuplastic surgeon. Says he doesn't think it's anything that is any big deal but it may take a few months to get in so I should book the appt and then if I have no changes in it I could always cancel it. I've tried to take pics of it but it's only the size of the head of a pin. Eye-yi-yi.... always sometin, eh? DH is outta town, pooches went to doggie daycare today cause we are having a new fireplace mantel put in. DH always has to have something being remodeled to be happy but we are running out of stuff to do. I'm getting super busy at work, think it's time to quit the Saturday job, doesn't pay jack anyways. Today is my/our anniversary but DH is in Indiana. We are going to a wine pairing dinner at a very she-she french restaurant on Friday, we have $300 in gift certs from the last 2 Xmases and it's $110/person so we should have no problem using it up. Jeni got her oncotype, it was 22 so chemo is an iffy thing. She is stage 1, and it would only increase her odds by 4%. She has decided not to do the chemo and I am glad, risks of chemo se's outweigh advantages if you ask me but I didn't want to tell her what to do. Anyway, that's my ketchin up, I'm going to post then go back and read so I don't not post at all if that makes sense..... love you all, c u soon!

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Thirsty Thursday!Another long day yesterday, work is picking up again. So I'm sitting here looking at the computer and wondering what to say and wishing I was still in bed.I haven't adjusted to the time change yet.I even got up before Sadie this ayem! The alarm went off and we both just looked at it for a few minutes before I turned it off and dragged the ol bod out of bed!

Goldie--I certainly hope we can get the bugs worked out of the system as far as that meeting goes, their talking about increasing the meeting frequency to every week and doing half the patients at a time to make it shorter.I do NOT want to deal with that meeting EVERY week!Time will tell, I suppose.

Jazzy--Nurses have been complaining about the added documentation burden of EHRs ever since they came out. We've been complaining about the computers being barriers between us and patients, and have gone unheard. Now docs are complaining about the same things and now, all of a sudden, it's "something to be addressed"!Some places are hiring scribes, people to put data in the computer for the docs.So at a future visit you may have the doc's attention and a second person in the room typing on the computer.

Mema--The green house is a lot of fun, and holds a lot more than I thought it would!I thought about planting some Willie, but decided not to, seeing's how that's still illegal in Maine.Growing it, that is.Unless you have a Medical Marijuana card, and I don't.Someday I am going to go somewhere where recreational use is legal and try it just to see what everyone is talking about.

Collett--Can't wait to see the after move in pics!Very pretty home.I am so sorry you have been through all that with the seizures and worry, so glad you got into a helpful program, and delighted the seizures are gone and your mood is better!I've down the depression rabbit hole, and it sucks out loud.So glad that you are making progress! The Stress Center sounds like a wonderful resource.I never thought about having anything to do with marathons other than watching until the cruise when I heard you talking about walking them, and realized a 5 K is only 3 miles.I used to walk 3 miles a day, 5 days a week, when I was working weekends. Now that it's light later in the evenings I really should start doing that again.Sadie liked the walks, too.The game sounds like fun, too. Can't wait to see race pics again!

Genmy--why would your doc send you to a doc he/she doesn't know? That sounds a bit weird to me, but what do I know.Never heard of an occuplastic surgeon till now.Medicine has gotten so specialized that a doc only operates on eyelids?Crazy! The French restaurant sounds like fun, but so pricey!Glad you've got the gift certificates.I think Jeni made a good choice to skip chemo, for the same reason you do.

    Princess Leia of Maine's DOTD:

    Maritime Martini

    3 oz Gin

    1 oz Dry Vermouth

    Directions

Pour the gin and dry vermouth into a cocktail shaker half-filled with cracked ice. Shake well, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an anchovy-stuffed olive, and serve.

Best served in a Cocktail Glass.

First going to help best buddy clean up his messy house, then look out!! I live in Florida, hopefully I'll make it back to CA one day would love to do some riding there. Sure is a long way riding, boy my rear was aching by the time we got back. I did not want to look at my bike for a solid week. Ugh. Lots of love to all, but I got living and fun to get in today, so I will sit down soon and catch up!!

Jazzy, glad the extra hour of sleep didn't interfere with your work. I'll be dealing with 3 hour time change next week!

Sue, I'm hoping we can get to the garden. How are you feeling?

Nancy, you poor thing. Glad you did not hurt yourself and that you got help. And the seizures are gone???Yippee Skippee for that.

Mary, sorry the spots on your lids took you to a dark place, but hoping the doctor saying it's prolly nuttin is a good thing. Happy Anniversary! Quite the expensive place you are going to for dinner. Glad to hear that Jeni's is low grade cancer.

NM, not fair that the docs get help and the nurses do not. I have always thought that the nurses do more than the doctors!

Pam, have a rockin green day! Julie lives in FL too.

    Happy St. Paddies Day goils.
