goldie0827, bahaha! Lucy and Ethel! Even though I always liked Ethel best I suppose Lucy is the perkier of the two? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Interesting weekend. Abt called at 7 am Sat. to tell me the install window would be 11am-1pm. Okay, rolled over and went back to sleep, knowing my housekeeper would be leaving home at 9 and getting here by 10. At 8:30, the phone rang. It was the installers. "We're about 5 minutes away." Stumbled downstairs, called my housekeeper. They were right on time. Was able to salvage the ice storage bin from the old freezer, but the new icemaker is just different enough that the old ice-collector bin is too small, and the waterline filter is also different. My housekeeper walked in about 1/2 hr. after the installers left. She told me to go back to sleep--and when I awoke, the kitties were fed, the fridge was cold (and stuff had been moved back into it and the freezer as well). When Bob got home, we gave the kitties kibble and headed down to Beverly for our friends' BBQ, where we stayed till midnight. As soon as we hit Lake Shore Drive (abt. 12:30), traffic ground to a halt: thank you, Beyoncรฉ & Jay-Z. Took an hour for the parking lot to empty out, but then cars had to make way for the tour logistics trucks. Can you say "fustercluck?"

Got home at 1:15 to two very hungry kitties. (DOTD was Mumm Napa Blanc de Blanc Reserve & Sparkling Pinot Noir--both a hit at the BBQ). Fed Happy, who wolfed down his food and then promptly puked it all up in the dining room (on the wood, not the rug, thank goodness). Almost re-threw my back out again wiping it all up and discarding it. Five minutes later, in walked Happy--looked at the clean floor, then at me, then meowed plaintively as if to say "why, Mama? I was gonna eat it all back up..."

Stayed up to 4 am, as Bob insisted on watching what he'd stored on the bedroom satellite DVR--which, since it's older, can't be watched elsewhere in the house--and he doesn't want to learn how to watch it via our DirecTV web acct. on his computer (he doesn't want to learn usernames & passwords, and refuses to write them down lest someone break into the house and steal them). Apps are a particular bone of contention in this household, as they are increasingly the only way to get certain things done, and he is a resolute Luddite. En route to the BBQ, we stopped at Whole Foods to buy some fruit to bring. I stayed in the car. He came out grumbling, "You didn't put the home phone on the WF/Amazon account, so we didn't get the discount." I replied, "why should I? I just use the Amazon app." Once again, he exploded and said he will never download any apps the hospitals don't require, and he hates those as it is. Wait till I tell him he's going to have to download Alexa so he can listen to music on the Echo...

Got up at 10 to a raging sinus headache, clogged nostrils, and back pain. Hobbled to the bathroom for a Baclofen & a couple Tylenol & Aleve, crawled back to bed for an hour--and awoke at 1pm. realizing there was no way I could safely (much less comfortably) drive out to Algonquin (50 mi ea. way) to another BBQ and guitar gathering. Hadn't seen these friends in a few years, though we do talk & text often; but seeing as how all I could do at the gathering was sing...

The new icemaker is like the Energizer bunny--keeps going & going....I have a feeling half our freezer will consist of nothing but bags of ice. It doesn't automatically shut off when full like the old-fashioned top-freezer icemakers (no wire arm to raise). But if we empty & then turn it off, it'll melt whatever ice is still in the process of being made and we'll end up with a puddle all over the floor. Anyway, spent the afternoon tending the deck garden, trying to keep the kitties from eating each others' food, ordering replacement groceries, organizing stuff in the crispers and trimming off veggies to salvage them, etc. Had nothing to eat or drink till almost 3:30--washing dishes, chopping herbs & veg with the brace on is like life in slo-mo.

We decided to stay in tonight and order out (Indian). While waiting, I made a batch of tuna salad. With dinner, had cava. Tomorrow's a voice lesson, if my teacher's cable internet signal cooperates. (We do lessons on Skype or FaceTime now, as parking in his now-trendy neighborhood has become impossible).

Charging Bob's phone for him now--he insists it be done with my charger so I will hear it going off. (Several times a night, I have to wake up and tell him to answer it. He will also set five or six alarms, and snooze his way through them all--I have to tell him to hit snooze or else they'd ring nonstop. Now you know why I keep the hours I do).

Good Morning, Loungettes! Happy Monday Monkey Day! Getting up to another beautiful day today. Should be a good one, too. I have an interview this morning, should get Pearl back this afternoon, seeing some nice people in between. Sadie was extra cuddly last night, even changed sides of the bed to lay on and made me move over and rearrange all the pillows in the middle of the night!

Muddling--you could always name the droopy one Lucy and the perky one Ethel and just not tell people!

Chi--LOL at Bob and the apps!He will have to give in someday, or not be able to do much of anything. I would think giving out the phone number all the time would be more of a hassle, then you get lots of sales calls, and since you gave your number to a company it's fair game for them to use even if it's on the "Do Not Call" list. You do keep some odd hours, but you do have a good reason for that. Your life is fascinating!

    Countess Bunty Rothschild's DOTD:

    Shakin' Blue Monday

    Ingredients

Add the whisky, blueberry brandy, brandy, lemon juice and sugar to a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into an old-fashioned glass almost filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a slice of orange and a maraschino cherry.

Best served in a Old-Fashioned Glass.

ChiSandy, I can, indeed, say "fustercluck", and I've never said or thought it more than since this stage 4 dx. Bob and I are fellow Luddites. Tell him that my cell phone is still a flip phone. No apps, just like I like it. I never even turn it on unless I want to call someone. It's for my convenience, not the rest of the world to intrude. This tablet has very few apps, the bare minimum. DH has a smartphone which I rarely ever touch unless we're traveling (waze) or if I have to send a rare text. Hoping the new fridge lasts for a long time. Before I forget, on the subject of bras, I started wearing all cotton nursing bras which are easy to pull over and just shove the arms in. The elastic band could be adjusted with one hand, I think. My right hand is mostly useless but I admit I use it to help anchor it but I could do it with left hand only. It's good for comfort and for appointments when they need to get to my port. No clasps at all. It's not an 18 hour cage, but Granny isn't waist level.

NativeMainer, I never named them until one of them decided to murder me. How unfair is it that that one is the perky one? Although it's serious I still laugh at Ellie Mae and Granny. How can I not?? Good luck with interview and your car.

Hi ladies- behind in reaching out here, but but pooping in to say hi. Busy with talking to three people about new work opps (yay) and also my fridge crapped out today finally so off to Lowes we went. I got something similar to what I have and that I know will work. It comes Wed. Until then, we live out of a couple plastic containers, turned coolers. I am signing the refrigerator blues tonight. But will have this taken care of before I leave on my trip next week!

    Time for bed, more soon!

Jazzy, I feel for you--we dragged our picnic cooler upstairs, bought a couple of bags of ice and put them in there, resting anything we wanted to keep cold without schlepping down & up the basement stairs on them. Irony is that now we could probably use that cooler for overflow ice!

Bob got home early today (nurse is sick so he had to cancel office). We had RCI points expiring in Dec., so we took advantage of our both being in the same room with a phone & a calendar--we're going to the Berkshires in mid-Oct. to do...absolutely nothing. His idea of a dream vacation is having unlimted time to read and watch TV. I'm hoping I'll be allowed into the pool by then--they have water aerobics every other day. We will have a rudimentary kitchenette (microwave, small fridge, double-burner induction cooktop. coffeemaker) and there's no restaurant on-premises (closest ones are 10 mi. away at the ski area). It will also be prime "leaf-peeping" season, and we'll be only 1/2 hr. from Vermont too.

We have Indian food leftovers but tonight was six-buck-burger night at Cellars, so that's where we had dinner. I had a glass of LaGalope rosรฉ and Bob had a Begyle Freebird APA. Then we came home and...downloaded a couple of apps. (hehehehe).

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Twofer Tuesday! Yesterday was a bit of an interesting day. Got Pearl back, with a bill a hundred dollars more than estimated. They had to take apart the AC to get at the alternator, so they had to recharge the AC. Not a happy surprise. Found out the car rental company no longer uses my dealership as a drop off point, so had to drive 25 miles to drop off the rental and then make a bunch of calls until I found someone who could give me a ride. Thank GOD for generous friends. Had the interview for the Clinical Manager position in the second office, and found out the Director had already contacted HR and found out that the position could be filled as a part time, hourly pay position! Still leaving it all up to God, He will put me where He wants me, but I will be a little disappointed if it doesn't work out, but I'll be no worse off, so all is well. Should hear by the end of the week. Silly Sadie has been harassing, or is being harassed, by some critter in the yard. Whatever it is, I haven't seen it yet, hides under the deck and in a couple other places where she can't quite get at it, making her bark and dance and pounce around for sometimes an hour! I just hope it's not a baby skunk!

Muddling--It's not fair that the killer boob ends up perky, is it? And yes, it's a serious situation, but being able to laugh, even a little, at some part of it takes away some of its power over us. Thanks for the good wishes! And I like your attitude, the phone is for YOUR convenience, not the world's.

Cammy--Yup, getting Pearl back was a good thing. Sounds like you are keeping busy!

Jazzy--Oh, dear, another fridge has bitten the dust! So glad it will be all taken care of before your next trip.An 3 new work opps?WOW!Good for you!

Chi--Nice vacay you have planned! I hope you can be in the pool by then, I'd love to try water exercise.

    Countess Bunty Rothschild's DOTD:

    Beach Bum's Cooler

    Ingredients

Pour all ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth, and pour into a parfait glass. Garnish with a pineapple slice. Add a paper umbrella, and serve.

Sandy, you sure are a night owl!

Cami, you smell devine! Has Joey gone back to school yet?

Jazzy, your fridge too! We shall have a double ceremony for yours and Sandy's! Good luck on the new job apps.

NM, seems like cars always end up costing more than originally told. They should have called you and told you before they even did it. $100 is quite a bit.

Missed yesterday morning, internet was done. Had to call and get my FU pills filled and my Xgeva, was on the phone for an hour and 11 minutes! Did some more canning, got 6 pints of salsa done. See my onc on Thursday and tomorrow meeting up with my stepdaughter and her family, and getting labs done. Sunday, flying to Ohio to see my MIL.

    Mornin Ladies,

Wow OK Jazzy if u lived closer to Sandy I think there was something going on with appliance virus. Jeez another expense we don't think about til it happens. we all take them for granted, let's face it, til they turn on us.

Kim well it usually is a little more than expected, but u've got Pearl back Yahoo. I do know how u miss her. LOLSadie, maybe it's a critter she's making friends with eventually and if it is a skunk they'll be friendly Good luck with work, but u will be put in the right place, I'm sure. Of course if it were up to me u would be the head of everything going on there and they'd be damn lucky.

Sandy ur vacay sounds absolutely wonderful, of course I favor what Bob wants to do, And where ur staying except for the 2 burner stove thing <well the actual thought of cooking does not hit my brain well> sounds great, Coffee first too. The swimming does sound good tho and hope u'll be able to do this. And if I were ur neighbor I'd be borrowing ice all the time, just to help u out.

Been a little busy with work but since I don't talk to everyone like I used to I'm not familiar with their problems so I end up having to look things up and stil don't understand cuz all the guys talk so technical and I know I don't understand anything, except in plumbing and they use the word ballcock. Lori, u know I'd use that any chance I can. Its funny cuz Dan has made up the Lead info list and the first question is who took the call, Matt, or camille, yea right. Matt is so technical with what the customer is talking about and I say things like I think I heard the word water so it must be a plumbing problem, like u cant tell who took the call??? Well no one ever gets upset with me so I never upped my game or can I at this point.

    Happy Tuesday -

Seems like there is a fridge virus going around - yikes not the best weather to store perishables in! So many things going on in all your lives (mine too), this forum tends to be a sanity saver for me ;)

NM - I am sending positives and prayers that you hear the decision that is going to be the best one for you! Hopefully Sadie is not messing around with a skunk - that could 'stink'...

ChiS - Berkshires sound like a fabulous place to be, I am sure Bob will enjoy his reading, relaxing vacay - always nice to get away, and near Vermont is a bonus for sure as it makes for a nice drive.

Jazzy - ishing you luck in your opps!

Cami - great to hear from you - ballcocks awayy y y!

    Cheers!

Hi folks- hope everyone is having a good Tuesday. Going to try to write a longer note as it may be closer to my last communication with you before the reunion trip next week. Yes, the fridge bit the dust and living an interesting life until then. I noticed this morning that the cooler where I put the milk and some corn on the cob together now has a corn taste to it. My coffee had an interesting taste this morning, lol! I wanted one of those really pretty turq retro ones, but given the urgency and the timing not being great $$$ before a little vacation, something that is more reasonable cost wise and available to be delivered now will do. The fridge I got is very similar to the one I have now, french double doors with an ice maker. Although appliances and other home problems never happen at a good time, I will say I am glad this happened before my trip back east next week (coming home to a smelly fridge with rotting food would not be fun!) I will be tied to the house tomorrow waiting for them to come bring in the new one and take away the old one. Whew!

Yes, exploring three new opps today. One is not going to work (not the right fit), and waiting to hear on another but I heard about something last Friday that I really want to do and hope to get some more conversation going on that this week. My hope was to have a meeting/interview for the work before I leave town, fingers crossed.

My trip back east is a week from tomorrow. Not sure how many are coming from the high school reunion but a couple weeks ago as they approached the rsvp due date, the count was low. I had a class of around 500 and remember hundreds there at the last one I attend in 1993. The organizer said they had located 200 of the 500 high school class members (ha ha, some people don't want to be found, right?) so I think if we have 75 or so there, it would be perfect. There are only a handful of people I want to check in with. Facebook has been a place where i have reconnected with some and did see a few old friends from the hood last time I was up that way. My BFF who started this whole thing told told me this weekend she has to back out on the trip, but was not totally surprised as it always seemed iffy for her to begin with. I have lots of fun things planned and will also be seeing a BCO sister over that way too. Getting ready to go!

NM- sorry to hear that Pearl had some issues and hope you have her back? I think I read you got the kayak out recently? And Miss Sadie has been swimming too?

Chi- you and I have been in the throes of things this summer. It took me weeks to feel better from that whole biopsy ordeal and then that crazy SWAT thing that went on here at the same time. Our neighborhood is just now starting to feel a bit normal now, more people out walking with pets, children in strollers, etc. Appliance problems are no fun and the fridge thing is just a real hassle to deal with at the last minute. I hope you are feeling better from the surgery and the dental work. Fustercluck is just perfect for this summer....

But more importantly, where in the Berkshires? I used to go there often for cross country skiing when I lived back east. Check the Tanglewood site for concerts, they get some real legends there and think they have concerts well in to the fall. I saw the James Brubeck quartet and Winton Marsalis (for the first time) there back in the 1980s. James Taylor lives in that area and performs there regularly when he is not on tour. I hope you have a relaxing time.

Goldie- how did you do with all them tomatoes? You were canning and cooking and more and saw you were busy with that again this weekend. I was so impressed with your tomato bounty. I was able to get some nice heirlooms at the farmers market last weekend. How has the sale of the business been going? I hope to your trip to Ohio to see your MIL goes well, safe travels?

Cami- you always make me laugh girl. I was thinking Joey is heading back to school soon, all the kids are in the process of that here. A lot of charter and private schools began last week, the public schools begin tomorrow and think the colleges and universities start this week here too. Summer surely does go quickly.

And more importantly, how are all your boyfriends?

Muddling- welcome to our thread. I am not totally sure if I have seen you here before but not here as much anymore myself. I hope you are doing well and just so you know, both of mine tried to kill me (bilateral). I refer to them as "leftie and rightie". Leftie is the one that gave me a scare last month, but she is fine. May we all continue to be healthy and cancer free!

I have to get to some more worky things. Lots of food to yet throw out to be ready for the haul tomorrow. I need more ice too and will go do that too.

Will poop in again this weekend before I go. Be well ladies!

Jazzygirl, thanks for the welcome. You and lots of ladies here have been busy. My fridge is 37 years old and I'm afraid just reading about the appliance failures will do it in.

Leftie and rightie, ha! Ellie Mae is the one who made her first attempt to murder me, the perky b**** ๐Ÿ˜€ Barring a miracle, she will succeed one day, but not for a while yet. Granny is gravity challenged but she's been behaving so far. Have a good trip.

Muddling- the appliance people say the older they are the more likely they will last. The newer ones have a shorter life due to all the energy efficient features they include.

Ha ha, the fridge is actually working all day today but it won't last. I have it mostly cleaned out and they are coming in the am. I will be having to restock a lot after this but will do so after my trip. I still have some things I have been able to salvage. I threw out a lot of food today. Remind me next time I tell you I am making soups to not do that. I cannot believe how many containers of frozen food were in that freezer. My bad.

I have had to combat my predilection to reorder stuff when I'm down to a 1/3 supply of it--be it milk, acetaminophen, eggs, lettuce, etc. I must have lost over $200 worth of ruined food when my fridge & freezer croaked.

Good Morning, Loungettes! Happy Hump Day! I'm dragging a bit this ayem for some reason, going to need more than the usual 2 mugs of coffee I suspect. That's ok, I'll way up more when the fog clears and the sun shows more. Sadie was slow to get up when the alarm went off, too, so it's not just me!

Goldie--I wish they had called about the AC, but what is done is done. Prayers for good labs and a safe trip to Ohio. Enjoy your visit!

Cammy--thanks for the vote of confidence! I'll go where God wants me and be happy. And you must be doing just fine on the phone if Dan has to look at who took the calls! Love the word "ballcock" it sounds so naughty!

Janky--Yeah, Sadie trying to make friends with a skunk would 'stink' big time. She's tried before, it didn't end well!

Jazzy--good point about it better to have the fridge go now rather than while you are away, that would be horrible to come home to! Praying the interview/meeting gets set up before your vacay starts. Wow, your reunion trip should be a blast! It's always fun to catch up with people. I wonder if fewer people go to reunions in this age of social media. Haven't gotten the kayak out or taken Sadie swimming yet, aiming for this weekend, now that I have Pearl back.

Muddling--Here's to a miracle in the next fewyears. With so much research going on there is always a chance of something miraculous coming on the scene.

Chi--There seems to be a theme here, the boob that tries to kill us ends up looking better than the other one.Maybe attempting murder is good for the attemptor's health???? Or at least good looks?

Jazzy--so sad to lose that much homemade soup! But such is life.

    Countess Bunty Rothschild's DOTD:

    Island Murder

    Ingredients

Stir ingredients together in a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes. Strain into a cocktail glass, add an umbrella and sword shaped tooth pick and serve.

Cami, using the word BALLCOCK is just recockulous! How is Leslie doing?

Jazzy, sorry you couldn't get the turq. fridge that you wanted. Hope your reunion is fun and you can enjoy. I never had too many friends in school, just a handful. I wasn't one of the "popular" ones. Seems as tho most things these days don't last long, not like it used to be at all.

Muddling, I like Ellie Mae and Granny. Explanation is poyfect.

NM, talking about dragging butt, I'm noticing the mornings are not sunny anymore, and depending what time I get up, 4:30 this ayem, it's DARK. So, noticing the days getting shorter.

Heading to town this morning, meeting up with my step daughter, her husband and the 2 kids. They are staying with his mom, who visits them in CA every couple of months. We see them once a year. Well, we were suppose to meet them for lunch around noon. They had to change to breakfast cuz the MIL had made plans and was throwing a fit. She is very controlling, so now we only get to see them for an hour or so. Also doing labs, rather skeered and feeling anxious. Be leaving here tomorrow morning around 7:30 to make my 8 hour round trip to the good doctors.

Hi friends- well, I am ready for my fridge delivery this morning. They called late yesterday to say they are going to deliver between 8 am to noon and got things ready to have the old one leave and new one come in. Will be glad to have this taken care of today and to be able to put my kitchen back together again.

Goldie- I was not one of those popular girls in high school either. I was not a joiner, not in to cheer leading, athletics or part of the common clubs. I was a music geek (if you ever used to watch the show Glee, that would have been me in high school). I was in the school band, orchestra, sang in my church choir and also played in an area town symphony. I was really involved in my church and music in those days, which put me out of the "in crowd". I had a handful of friends too and my life long BFF is from high school days, and we have kept in touch all the way along. She is not doing the reunion as she still lives in our home town and said "every day is reunion day here, I have seen these people for decades." She also had bc last winter and still coming through feeling better from that too.

And to your point, people are a handful. Facebook brought more of those old high school people back in to my world and some of them reminded me why I never stayed in touch to start. The event goes for five hours and by a nice seaside location, and I expect to be there 2-3 hours to chat with a few folks I really want to see and that will be it for me. The friend who backed out on going thinks we should try again for our 50th but think this will likely be my last. I live far away and the timing was just right to do it this year and see some other people too.

    Mornin ladies,

Oh Lori, u get to see them for an hour??? What type of monster fest is this and the kids are fine with this. Wow I'm so sorry, that's so not right. MY BFF <Pat> called again last nite, I talked to her in the morning too LOL Anyway her DH was told by his Dgtr. in cahoots with the mother that if he wanted to ever see his grandchildren again Pat had to stay home for all visits He has no choice really, before that she could always go, this started about 3 yrs ago and they've been married for 20 yrs. She spends a lot of holidays alone cuz her DD doesn't live close. And he was already divorced when they met. Anyway u go so far for Drs. I give u so much credit cuz I know I wouldn't, u are a trooper, always have been. And I hope u have a great time going away. With all Dr. things being good. And u really know for some reason I find that word so funny.

Muddling I'm sorry u weren't properly welcomed I thought I knew u somehow so I didn't want to sound as stupid as I am. So welcome, come as often as u can and want and please share whatever ur comfortable with, I know I share everything, but this is a great group of women that I've grown to feel so close to, and care and pray so much for. And they don't complain about my blabbering.

Oh Leslie was supposed to be operated on next week, well the 3 drs. are gathering around the Dr.s lounge to give it more thought timewise, so she waits around like with most of these things. She has a tiny tiny hole under her arm, and I always think of DARA and her Zac vac, so I really don't say much, but she wants to go back to work and so far they won't release her. Effin cancer. She's again on an anti-b, who knows. Joey goes back to school next week and I'm so floopy about this---he starts HS, I know he's been skeered about this big change so we've been talking more, but he's the one who has to live it and I do member it, I hated it that first yr. All my friends went from one catholic school to another, but not me so I member being so shy and always felt like I didn't belong anywhere, but like all of us found my way by 2nd yr. Pat was in a catholic school but we still stayed together after school and when I did find my way she came right along with me to my new world, that's why we never separated.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't get to everyone my mind is wondering this morning, well like every other morning for sure---but more so today.

    G'aft noon mese DahhhLinKs,

Cami - I would have thot so also, bout the PS and BS contacting each other for a surgery date. But was not to be. I do, finally, have an appt with PS on the 21st, so am hoping he'll have Sept 7 open for me. I've been thinking about u a lot latelyโ€ฆhad the big D me dern self over the last 2 wks with no apparent reason for it. It is lots better today but still going to sch a colonoscopy and an EDG as my acid reflux has been unbearable the last month or so. Nexium, Zantac, Tums are NOT touching it so forced to sleep in a sitting up position. I take CBD oil(tincture) every night. I also say it works with pain and sleeplessness, so don't be afraid to take a full dose, it won't hurt you. A new Beau? Do tell. Keep on blabbingโ€ฆI love it MUAH.

Chi - hope u find relief soon for what ails you (wrist and mouth?)

NM - we too have had some high humidity. I find it hard enuf to deal with 110+ every day, add the stickiness and I'm hiding in mese a/c house. I get Sadie, my pooches too going from spot to spot when it's humid. Hope ur suit comes today so yoose and Sadie can get to the lake.

Illi - LOL on signing in ur headโ€ฆhope u found a chair, dwink, n muzak!

    Hello Janky!!! Mmmmm shepherds pie!!!

OK here is my before surg schedule:

    Mon 8-20 - Heart ultrasound

Tues 8-21 - see BS, then U/S of lower body, then pre-surg meet with PS. Each doc is in a diff place so we'll b trav'in a lot.

Weds 8-29 - consult on EDG and Colonoscopy.

Will be pretty busy up until surgery but will try to post again soon.

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Thirsty Thursday. Sadie and I had a lovely cuddle whilst watching the lightning and listening to the thunder after we went to bed last night. Nothing spectacular, but lightning always looks more impressive at night. Going to work today for the main office, they are begging for my time, saying they are in a pinch. Not sure how that happened, will be interesting to see what happens when I get to the office this ayem.

Goldie--I've noticed it's darker in the ayems, too, but have been trying to tell myself it's because of clouds, not losing sunlight time. But I've had to turn on lights all week, and have noticed it getting darker earlier, too. Summer is waning, winter is coming. Sigh.Good luck with the labs! So sorry about the controlling MIL.Such a pain.

    Cammy--LOL!

Jazzy--Good for you for going to the reunion to catch up with a certain few people. Facebook has helped me reconnect with a number of people I knew in High School (most were acquaintances rather than friends then, I wasn't part of the "in crowd" either). Most of us are leaving the reunion business to the classmates who are rolling in money and can afford trips and expensive dinners and the like.

Cammie--going to HS is a big change for Joey. I'll be praying for him, and am so glad he has you to talk to about things like that. I am so sorry that Leslie is being put through so much and so many delays.

    Jazzy--nice new fridge!

Mema--thenew bathing suit has come in and fits, the old bathing suit has been found and still fits, the only excuse for not swimming after work has been thunderstorms. Aiming for this weekend.Wow, you practically need a scheduler to keep up with all the appointments and keep them from interfering with each other.

    Morning, Muddling!

    Hey, Janky!

    Mornin' ladies,

Just had a call, so nw I have to think. OK

SusyQ so glad to hear from u. And yes I agree with Kim u need an assistant to keep track. I'm sending so many <<<HUGS AND PRAYERS>>> to you.

Lori tell us about the labs as soon as u know .

O Muddling Thru, I just figured out about ur name here, had no idea what it meant. Oh I know, pulling the cord from the ketchup train gets harder all the time LOL

Jazzy I do hope all goes well for u and don't forget Pics. Makes me feel like I've been out. Like the fridge, but in a way the turq. would have been a lot more fun.

Kim all of a sudden I realized it was darker sooner and the morning was different. I noticed it like wham, the dark nite rises and change of seasons enters. Way to fast. And last nite we had a thunderstorm too. Kind of Steven Kingy from ur part of the world.

    Hey Janky, what's going on???

Ugh the phone again, when I come back here my brain has to be recharged, hmm to bad they don't have one of those for bodies to be able to unplug when they wake up. Or is that called a sleeping pill, maybe.

Well we have lost a legend passed away today, Aretha Franklin. I saw she had been in failing health for awhile and in a decline the past week. May she sing with the angels.

This is a duet that is one of my favorites songs of hers (besides many of the well known ones like Respect, Pink Cadillac, etc. that I also love). With George Benson. Enjoy!

Another beautiful duet with Tony Bennett. I think the world will be a little less lovely without her in it
