    LOL @ Kathy!

Kathy -  I was taking Melatonin....in fact I haven't had any in a while, and need to order more supplements from my cancer center. The meletonin I was taking is 20 mg. and I take it with Arimidex. When I ran out, it was not a big deal...meaning I didn't feel like I was coming off an addiction. It helped me "get to sleep"...I still woke up every hour or so with hot flashes. I also have valium I take...but not every nite, as I know that drug can be addictive. It is just a part of life now, and I have learned to deal with it! Hopefully after 5 STUPID years of arimidex....I will lose the STUPID 20 lbs I have gained and not have STUPID hot flashes every hour or so.....and can have a full nite of BLISSFUL sleep, only waking once or twice.

10pm....I am up WAY past my bedtime...been on the phone with my brother. STUPID...I mean SWEET dreams to all!

Ha Ha Lori, We sure are having STUPID fun with this, aren't we!!! LOL. WOW....Didn't know you could take such high doses of melatonin. Hopefully your STUPID hot flashes will subside soon...mine have lessened quite a bit. They don't bother me at night as much, but we do keep it pretty cold, and also use the ceiling fan. How much longer for the STUPID armidex? I forgot.

Well, I should have listened to my advice...but didn't take the STUPID melatonin. Up at 4 am worrying about getting up early today, and all we have to get done today, since my mom leaves Thurs am. So STUPID of me!!!! DH made some really good fresh peach daiquiris last night for happy hr, so really enjoyed them.

Hope everyone has a STUPIDOUS (I mean stupendous) day today! Connie, hope you are feeling much better now. Dee, where are you, girlfriend???? We miss you here. Jaybird, CAZ, CasinoGal, are you all still okay? Still haven't found the Moscato Asti Spumante, but just checked the grocery stores...Can't wait to see what our DOTD will be for today. Guess I'll head into the STUPID casino and try my STUPID luck...LOL.

    Good morning!

As far as the stupid Arimidex, you have to take it for 5 years (that I think you know) October I will have been on it for 2 yrs. So, a little more than 3 yrs to go. The melatonin at 20 mg, the pharmacy didn't keep it on the shelf, you had to ask for it and might of even had it recommended by the Naturopathic doctor. I am getting more when I need some other things. Here is a link with some info on melatonin and its use for people with cancer, breast, liver, lung and brain mets. Also helps prevent strokes, migraines and alzheimers.

DOTD - How about a "Foggy Cocktail" for whale watching?

    cryogenic drink

Sorry, I don't have ingredients. But it shore is purdy!

Oh, goodie, I'm so glad we're having another stupid day!! My speed. I've been running around telling everyone I'm 2/3 through with chemo cuz I'm stupidly confused but after a long conversation with DH (who is confused for other reasons) we came to the conclusion I'm only 1/3 through.

AStorm - today is the day for a glorious glass of wine. Please join me at the swim up bar at happy hour!

Wahine - LOL! - sorry about all that stupid walking in the stupid heat, so did your mom's house deal close alright?? I sure hope so!! Sounds like you were a hot shot negotiator, way to go!! Did the seller get a scorpion? Glad you have a stupid sleeping solution for goldie!...8stupid30 - LOL!!! That's a good one!! Ooooo peach daiquiris sound so delicious. I have got to get a regular bar set up one of these days. All I have is stupid wine, stupid beer, stupid vodka, stupid bloody mary mix, and stupid rum on hand. I think kitty set one up a while back. She and I proly won't be sipping much for now, but it sounds so nice to have it all sitting there all pretty to look at. Good luck at the casino!!! Hope you win big time!!!

NM - Sounds like a wonderful whale watching trip, I've never done that, but always thought it sounded like fun, too bad there were no stupid whales, but heck, maybe next time for free?? Good deal. You get Sadie back tomorrow?? I hope I hope.

YramAL - hi there, I'm glad you dropped in. I dropped in a while back and found this to be the funniest (stupidest) bar in town. I'm going to the swim up bar for happy hour and hope you'll join me and the other gals. I'll ask one of the bar tenders to mix up your favorite margarita!! How's the weather there? I kinda live all over WA right now, Ocean Shores, Ocean City, then tx in Seattle, then to the mountains in Wauconda. That's my crazy train till I get through all this stupid treatment crud. I'll be getting stupid rads in Aberdeen. Then I get stupid Tamoxifen too - yippee!! So glad you could skip stupid chemo.

Connie - Please don't make stupid day end...you started something really worth talkin' about! I am so glad you're feeling better and hope it cools down over there. Can you come to the swim up for happy hour???

Goldie - stupid fog, stupid whales, LOL!! I'm so sorry you're getting up 6 x a night. I get up at least 2 cuz I have to drink so much stupid liquid every day. I worry about addictive stupid ativan, but I only take one a night while I'm taking the stupid cytoxan. So far it hasn't bothered me not to take it when I'm off the chemo, but this is only the second break for me (I think), so we'll see. In the absence of ativan I'll just drink a bunch of that FOGGY COCKTAIL, it looks totally dreamy and I bet that will give me stupidly sweet dreams. I haven't had hot flashes yet. My oncologist says I will go through chemopause, but no signs of it yet that my stupid head is aware of anyway.

Hi Stanzie - can you come to the swim up for happy hour?

Hi Grakenmom - Nice of you to stop in. Hope you don't think I'm too stupid, I have an excuse, as I'm somewhere in the midst of chemomania. Could be 1/3 way or maybe 2/3, no one can figure it out, I'm on this weird 2 week on 2 week off schedule with multiple stupid MF infusions and a buncha stupid cytoxan pills...it's becoming a total stupid blurrrrrr. I think it ends somewhere around Thanksgiving. I hope things are well with you!!!

One more STUPID problem to share...DH and I kept wondering why my left nip was still so dimply and rough feeling...so I got the magnifying glass and realized my stupid GD MF BS left the stiches in. So I still have that stupid fish line stuff in my nip...what I'm ‘posta doooooo??? No way am I going back to THAT BS. DH says he will take it out for me...it's been there since end of May...what to do? what to do? I told you it was a stupid problem.

Can everyone please join me at happy hour for a big ol' snarlin' glass of just any kind of BOOZE?? I'm wearing my pink polka dot bikini and a lot of stupid sun screen.

Hope all the pooches and kitties are doing well and I'm thinking good thoughts for all the AWOL loungies out there.

Love and hugs to you all, have a fantastic day. Cheers!!

Beans, I think we should start stupid happy hour NOW!!! It is 5stupido'clock SOMEWHERE. Yes, the house closed ok on the 29th, but my mistake was being the stupid nice gal and letting them stay in the house a few more days...thank god I made them keep some $$$ in escrow, so we got a bit of that for the stained carpet. All in all, it is a beautiful home, and we want to put hardwood floors in those 2 stained rooms anyway. Trying to price out replacing the thermal glass in the 4 french doors.....prev I was pricing replacing the entire doors, but thought of this today, so it actually may work out. I have spent almost every STUPID hour helping my mom move, or other things pertaining to her new house. Today I found errors that the attys office did, on the title insurance....grrrrrrrrr....so even another stupid phone call!!! Just a FYI...if anyone buys a home and the sellers have filled the spa tub (to save time..yeah right!)....try out BOTH faucets besides the jets....this cold water just trickles out, and the plumber says can't be fixed since they didn't leave any access when it was tiled....STUPID SHEESH SELLERS!!!!! ANd the inspector didn't try those faucets.....grrrrrrr again! Sorry you are only 1/3 thru with STUPID chemo, and not 2/3...but you are getting closer to being done with it,every day. Hang in there! Joining you at the swim up bar....I need something STUPID and STRONG!!!! OR that foggy drink that is so purdy!

    BARMEN!

    Hi Lori!   :::::waving:::::

Sorry I've been MIA, just busy with too much flying and too much Avery! The girl's 4th b-day is next Monday! And I STILL have most of her baby clothes. Need to find some time for a garage sale I guess. She starts 4 days/week, 2 1/2 hrs/day pre-school next week! I can't wait! :)

It's a beautiful night here in Barcelona, wish you all were here. Cheers!

LOVE the foggy drink!  Make me a pitcherfull, please.

My stupid FSH came back pre-menopausal, so I have to get a stupid Lupron shot on Monday.  Which means another stupid 90 mile trip to the onc's office.  Right now I'm actually hoping the stupid BRCA test comes back with a stupid mutation so I can get my stupid ovaries out and not have to deal with the stupid Lupron shots.

On the up side, I get Sadie back tomorrow!  Yeah!  Even if I do have to take her to the vet because Auntie thinks she has worms!

Hello Ladies! I'm sitting in the chemo suite right now, getting #2 of my 12 Taxol treatments. Sure wish I was sitting at a bar drinking a cool cocktail.

I missed the dog and cat day - darnit! I love my animals so much. I have 5 cats and 2 dogs. My dogs are so funny. They can hear my DH's truck and get all excited when he comes home. And I think they know time because every night at 6 pm they start running around until we feed them. They are Border Collies and I've been told they are one of the smartest breeds. I have to laugh because one of them is bad and he does the dumbest things (like pee on the tile by the garage door). He's also ate several carb related foods (like a loaf of bread in one sitting). He is good at herding though (esp kids running through my house - LOL!!! My cats are really funny. Scarlett is my little black kitty and she always greets me at the door. When I had my BMX, she slept on my lap every day. She was my first kitty I could call my own. My DH had a cat before I met him (Haley) who is still alive and kicking. Then we have Tigger, Shakira & Beyonce. Bear and Mocha are our dogs

Beans - don't worry about being a third done. Pretty soon you'll be 2/3 done and then all done! I figured that I'm now coming up to the halfway mark (which is where I thought I was a few weeks ago). 8 weeks of AC and 12 weeks of Taxol. Oh well, my quality of life is better during chemo now. :)

So, let's all belly up to the bar and drink away all the stupid things that frustrate us, so we can feel better!!!! Chairs!

Joining my peeps at the swim up bar for "STUPID" Happy Hour..........Woooo Hooooooo!

Oh Jaybird, so glad you stopped by ::::::::waving:::::::: bachatcha! And OMG....it's Avery's b-day again???? Tell her that all her Auntie's say "Happy Birthday". With that busy schedule of yours, I don't know how you would find time for a garage sale! Do you know anyone with a little girl that you could give the clothes to, or sell real cheap? If I were closer to you, I might take some off your hands for my grand daughter, but she is not a baby baby...she is 2. I hope Avery LOVES LOVES LOVES school!

E, glad to see you as well! Don't be such a stranger!

NM, what is FSH? Bloodwork to show whether or not you are menopausal? Wishing you and Sadie both good luck!

Beans, as much as you write, you can't be too stupidly confused! Before ya know it you will be 2/3 rds done with chemo. And you will know if you get chemopause! Stitches left in your nipple! Surprised OH MY! That happened to my dear hubby, not the nipple tho! From carpul tunnel surgery. If you do let hubby try, make sure you stop if its not working, and maybe just go to your regular doc?

    Barmen! .....and ChEARS~

Getting stupid B&B ready for STUPID company this weekend (not my favorite company....)...and getting tired of this stupid heat wave!  Only 95 today, so I shouldn't be so stupidly ungrateful!

Beanius-you sure have been all over Washington! Where the heck is Wauconda?? I'm assuming it's somewhere near Aberdeen since you say you are getting your rads there?? Anyway, the weather here in Shoreline turned out to be pretty nice today-about 75 once the clouds clear away. Warm enough to go to that swim up bar you're talking about-and I'll take that margarita you've ordered for me.I suppose I should introduce myself to everyone....I'm 50 years old and I work as a paraeducator in an elementary school. I supervise student breakfast before school, and during the school day I work with students in special education and ELL(English Language Learners). I also work on the playground every day, so on really crappy weather days, you'll probably see me here at the bar a lot! School starts in a couple of weeks, but I have to go back next week, and I'm both looking forward to it, and feeling sad about summer ending.I've been married to a big, soft, teddy bear of a guy for almost 30 years-I couldn't have picked anyone better to be with during this whole STUPID breast cancer thing! We have 2 adult children, one who lives with us and one who doesn't, and a very yappy little mutt of a dog.Good to meet you all!Mary

Nice to get to know a bit about you, Mary! Wow....can you believe that school started here on the 9th? Toooooooo early....glad you have a few more days till you have to go back. Awwww.....nice to have a sweet teddy bear DH to help you through all this stupid bc crapola!!!

Beans, I forgot about those stupid stitches that were left in...till I read Lori's post. I agree with her...if you can't get them out easily, go to your regular dr. That sure was a stupid dr that left those in!!!!!

Junie, HOPING and PRAYING you get the "come back in 1 year" letter!!!!! Be sure to let us know when you know something. We had champagne tonight, since my mom leaves in the morn. And DH cooked fillets on the grill, and brought baked potatoes, and grilled green beans. We have had every happy hr and dinner there at her lake house. She didn't even get to come to our house this trip....we packed and moved every single day, so my house needs LOTS of attention! Funny, cause its right betwn the townhouse and the lake house, but we were just toooo busy to stop here! (Thank God!). My dad is soooo happy she will be home soon!

Jaybird, Wow....Avery will be the big FOUR!!!! I bet you will have a fun birthday party for her! What is her favorite character? Get home safely, and come join us again here!!!

Kitty, your furbabies sound so cute! I like border collies too (Maverick is half that), but we just have Maverick and Molly. At one time we had several cockatiels (we used to hand raise them from the parents we had), an Amazon parrot, two horses, a cat, and four dogs! That was when my late DH was alive and we had a small farm. Also we didn't travel, so were able to care for them. Now it is so hard to travel and get our two dogs taken care of when we are gone! But we love them a lot....they are so sweet and Mav just lives for any attention we give him! Molly is sweet too, but more independant.

    ChEARS Big Ears!

    Hi all!!!

FSH is follical stimulating hormone. When it hits 30 you are in menopause. When you are in your 20's it is around 6 I believe. When it is about 12 then you will be in menopause anytime within about 8 years. For me when I hit 12 it was only 2 years and my FSH was then at a whopping 78! and I was 37 years old! If you are wondering why on earth I would know such odd facts.

Would have just loved to have been with everyone at the HTL today! It was not good. My one son is in school, Mary he is special ed. - down syndrome. They other two start on Tuesday. I know have truely experienced the full horror of teenagers - Oh my!

Anyway, the school finally sent gobs of lists on what to get, they have pre-sports practices, my ex is still away tending his Dad and the house repairs are going full on and I'm losing my mind! Then to top it off I got a call today from my insurance saying there was an assistant on the reconstruction part of my surgery and they don't allow for an assistant so I'm to pay this bill and it is huge!!! I was just stunned. The insurance lady said at some point did you ever sign anything where you are responsible if not covered by insurance? I said yes anytime you go into the hospital it is a standard form and she agreed with me a then says well now you are responsible. That just about sent me over the edge? Can they really do that? I thought it breast cancer surgery was all covered by insurance? I haven't stopped for barely a minute since 6:45 am.

Kitty - love the sound of all your furry ones

NM.- Yay for tomorrow!!!!! I know you can't wait! I think Liesl just snuck downstairs and peed somewhere..... I'm not sure I have the strenght to go look. We have been shutting the pet door when it gets dark and takeing them out on leash at night as there are coyotes and foxes in the neighborhood.....

     Beans - I can't believe they didn't use dissolving stitches - what a pain - literally. I'm so sorry.

Looking forward to reading about melatonin - I just took some tonight! Here is to a wonderful tomorrow for all!!!

Stanzie, what a totally horrid day...tomorrow HAS to be better! My DH had something similar, re the insurance prob. He called and had to speak to lots of people, but I think it was the drs office that he really let have the brunt of his exasperation. He firmly told them that they knew what ins he had, and what they would cover, and that basically it was THEIR error and he wasn't going to pay for someone that was not covered. In his case I think it was an anestheisiologist (sp?) that was not covered by Blue Cross. With all you have been facing lately, I know you don't have time to make lots of phone calls. But maybe check with the dr that did the surgery, and let them know that they shouldn't have had someone in there that wouldn't be covered. If worse comes to worse, and you can't get anywhere with that, then try to get them to reduce the charge drastically!!! I am sure someone will chime in with some other scenarios that may be of more help to you, but wanted to mention this. Glad you're starting on the melatonin....is it the 3mg? Remember it usually takes 5-7 nights to REALLY work best. Good luck tomorrow, and hope things will fall right into place!

NM.....YEAH, we will all be thinking of your reunion with Sadie tomorrow!!! So happy for you! I gotta get up at 4 am to get my mom to the airport....so then I will be real sad......... :(

    BARMEN to that drinking "prayer"!

Stanzie-I can't say that I miss that back to school craziness that comes with having school age kids! And insurance crap just drives me up the wall! I have been known to go round and round with my insurance company over a $66 charge that I felt that they should pay and they felt that I should pay. It's the principle of the thing! (I won, by the way...) How old is your son that has Down's? Most of the kids I work with have ADD and ADHD. I'm in what is called a Resource Room. Our kids stay in the gen ed classroom for most of their day and are pulled out for math, reading, or writing supplementation services.

Having a glass of red wine tonight-2 Buck Chuck as a matter of fact!

Goldie--stanzie's got the low down on FSH.  It's also called LH for leutinizing hormone.  Mine was 13 when I started arimidex 2 years ago, it was 7 this week.  And I'm 51 and from a family of women who finish with menopause by 45!  I'm seriously thinking of getting those things yanked out so I don't have to deal with lupron shots every few months. Oh, well. the genetic testing results should be back soon and that will give me more info to work with.

kittykat--that's quite a managerie you've got1  Never a dull moment in your house.  Sadie come home in 4 hours!!!!! I'm so excited to get her back, finally!

junie--so sorry you have to wait for the mammo results.  I always had it set up that I saw my BS tha same day, had to take the films to her office with me, so they got read and got the news the same day.  And they took me back for extra films EVERY time!  Praying for the "see you in a year" letter for you.  (and secretly gloating because I don't have to do that EVER AGAIN!)

Mary--WELCOME!  If no one's mentioned it yet there is a doggie park section of the lounge for our furbabies.  There's a pooper-scooper who takes care of all the little presents they leave so we can relax and enjoy our drinks as our pooches play.  My favorite hangout is the hammock or the hot tub.  The tenders will set up the raspberry martini fountain within arms reach of where ever I am, all you have to do is decide what your favorite drink is an they'll do the same for you!.  I teach in the university, we start on the 30th.  I'm actually looking forward to work, too!

Waheni--wow, school did start early where you are!  I hope the schools have air conditioning!

Stanzie--you might want to check on something--did the assistant bill separately?  The papers you signed at the hospital only apply to the hospital claim and bill.  The docs usually bill separately, and if you didn't sign a form saying you were responsible for the part of the bill not covered by insurance you can't be forced to pay.  A lot of people don't realize the papers sign at the hospital do not apply to the separately billed services (anesthesia, doc's fees, and the like).  And if you weren't told ahead of time about the assistant and what the fee would be you can't be held responsible.  Medical billing depends a lot on people not understanding their rights and what is billed how.  Also, if the doc's office got pre-aproval from the insurance company and did not include the assistant, it's their mistake and their problem.  It pays to read over the bills carefully and get itemized bills from the hospital and everyone else.

(Dancing and singing) SADIE COMES HOME TODAY!!!!!!!

Heather, glad to hear the taxol is being a bit easier on you. But it was that darned cocktail that took my eyelashes and eyebrows. Being bald was bad enough, but I always gloated that I at least got to hold on to those. Well, that ended with T. If you still have yours, I hope you can hold on to them, since you are doing lighter/weekly treatments.

Ya Junie, finally got the squeeze done! Now just to wait for that STUPID phone call! I'm sure all we be ok. Try not to think about it. Nothing we can do about it anyways. I get mine in Dec. And why is the B&B open for STUPID company? Hope you enjoyed your sghetti!

Mary, very nice introduction. Maybe we should all do that. Share as little or as much that you would like. What do you think? I would be willing to copy everyones responses and email to everyone. I know for me, I forget sometimes who is where and doing what! I would actually print mine, so I could reference to it!

Kathy, big hugs for you today. I know you are going to miss mom Cry Amazing that she can do all that traveling at her age. I hated just the 6 hr flight from CA to HI. Hopefully she can convince your dad to move, by tellling him how wonderful it is. When will they back?

Wooo Hoooooo NM...Sadie is coming home to Mommy! I know you are excited about that. But PUL- EEZE may I have my drink in something else? But I must say, I am LMAO as I am picturing everyone around the pool, on hands and knees, lapping up their "Homecoming" out of doggie dish!

Quick note - NM - Thank you! That helps. I haven't called yet but did call the Dr.'s office and they said it was not them I'd have to call her separately. She did call me before the surgery and I told her about my previous problem with uncovered assistants and she assured me tat because of the lenghth of the surgery it was necessay and they would pay if I had to pay anything she told me it would be less than 30.00 so I agreed. So will call next.

the contractors sent in a cleaning crew to clean up after the dry wall and such. Fist thing when I walk in as I had to pick up my son from soccer is seeing this woman take the big heavy grates off my stove and slam them into the sink ontop of breakfast dishes!!! So I called my contractor to find out if these people have a clue as to what they are doing.... shoot heard another crash more later....

So glad you kept $$ in escrow, smart going, and hardwood floors will be beautiful (my fav), sure hope all the remaining stupid house deal grrrrrrs get worked out quickly. Oh, and you had champagne, that's delightful! Your meal sounds like it was grand, hope your mom had a good trip home. I love pets and it sound like you had lots of nice ones, with all our travel it's just not possible. I have one house plant, named Gary who travels with us. He's real easy to take care of and he's beautiful.

Hi Jaybird - I love your avatar. Happy BD to Avery, glad you are having a nice time!

NM - Happy Home Coming for Sadie - hurray, and thanks for all the hormone info, it is very helpful for my situation too. I'm the youngest of 4 sibs, all of them are healthy, I'll be 53 and should have stopped stupid flo a long time ago compared to sis sib, too much estrogen in one life for this girl I suppose. Love The Homecoming drink - that's a cute idea to serve it in a doggy dish. I'm so glad you got your Sadie back!! Hurray, hurray!!

Kittycat - It's great to hear you're feeling better, that is such good news and I hope that taxol continues to be okay for you. It's fun reading about your adorable pets. Here's to getting to the halfway point for both of us...I think mid-Sept is my ½ way point. Chug-a-chug-a-choo-choo!

Goldie - Not glad to hear the stitches thing happened to your DH, but I'm sorta glad to hear I'm not the only one. I think I'll have my doc look when I go in Aug 31 to start stupid round #3. I'm glad to know that it'll be obvious when I hit chemopause. Sounds like more fun ahead, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I like your idea of the introductions and that's so nice of you to offer to email the info. I often wish I knew more of people's history and stuff, if they wanted to share. My greatest hope is that all my stupid sh!t I've been through in 52+ years could be of benefit to someone else - especially if it could help them from making some of the mistakes I've made!!!

Junie - I think all printers are permanently in stupid mode...I'm so wishing the best on your see ya next year letter...sorry you have "not fav" company coming, that sucks, but spaghetti n meatballs sounds great and hope you did down the whole bottle of merlot!

YramAL -  I loved reading your introduction, that was so nice. I found this thread but don't totally know what everyone does, I like goldie's idea. Wauconda is between Nowhere (Tonasket) and Nowhereelse (Republic) in central WA up near the border in the mountains. This time of year is just Heaven. The rural docs here don't do cancer tx, so since it's awfully snowy here in the winter and since we do biz and have a cabin on the coast we opted for Seattle for my stupid health care. Fortunately, Aberdeen has a new rad facility and it's only about 30 min from our beach cabin. It's a lot of stupid driving, but my DH (bless his heart) does the driving. I am eternally grateful to him for all he's done for me during this stupid ordeal. How do you ever repay someone??? DH and I have been SE (self employed not side effect - tee hee) for most our adult lives. Our 15 yr anniv is next month. I used to be in chemistry and have started and sold biz's. DH is a contractor. I started out in environmental chemistry and then I went into management and got a stupid master's degree in biz. I like to start things, but not run them, so I love planning and making lists and getting stuff going. I have done volunteer work with SED (severely emotionally disturbed) children but never had kids. Got lots of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews - I like being an aunt. We've had all kinds of cancer in my fam and other fun stuff too like M.S., senior dementia and some stuff we could never quite figure out what the problem was!!! I'm so glad you have a wonderful husband, and family to support you through all this.

Stanzie - Thanks to you too for the hormone info. I've never had the test. I so admire you parents and all you go through with children, sounds so stressful. Grrrrrr to the insurance and construction BS too I sure hope you get that sorted out quickly.

    Take care ya'll, Cheers!!!

Beans, Sounds like I am not the only one having a STUPID day! Cracked up laffin over your "pet" plant, named Gary!!!! In case she hasn't posted it here, ask Stanzie about her son's pet fish essay....soooooo cute! I really had a super stupid day today cause I never got any sleep...thought I could sleep after going to the airport, but NOOOOOOO such luck. So I am in Zombie Stupid mode right now.

NM, YAY that Sadie is back at home, finally!!! Did she even remember her home? Hope so, since you didn't have her all that long b4 you had your surgery. I know you are in seventh heaven today!!!

Lori, Mahalo for the Hugs!!! Needed them today. Sending you some (((Hugs))) too....for whatever reason, or no reason at all...lol. My mom got off just fine, looked so nice and fresh..don't know how she does it without sleep....I looked terrible. Didn't do too much today, trying to rest as I was so tired these past few wks with all the house stuff. We will see my parents in OZ in a couple wks, so long as my dad can still make the trip. Then we go to HI in Dec for  DH's b'day and my Dad's 94th b'day. Then they plan to come here before Christmas and stay (hopefully) a few wks.

    Stanzie, Hope nothing got broken!!!!

I think its time for Stupid Happy Hour.....aka Stupid Suck 'Em Up Time.......Aloha!

I think I'm just overly tired but I'm confused about about introductions.... I think it is a great idea but somehow I'm missing what we are supposed to do???

Plant named Gary! I love that! I have my friend's great grandmother's piano named Pricilla. I have a sweater named Mrs. Wells, a pool polaris(cleaner) named Dewey, a Sherry hider named George (french accent) and I'm sure there are more but can't think of them at the moment. But going back to plants I have this one fake plant which sits on a dark landing and a while back I had a housekeeper who watered that plant all the time. It is pretty good for a fake plant but not that good.

I called my Dr. who told me to call the assistant herself to talk about the bill and the office person said she would look into it and call me back. Well, she called back in like 5 min. and said no problem we will write it off so you owe nothing!!! Wow, that is great but until I have had to deal with all the insuance I wouldn't have asked and have paid the bill, wonder if that is what they are hoping for.  Don't know what to think about all that....

So glad the cleaners are gone, painting is done, electricians who are three brothers who are the nicest guys! They even called me after my surgery to see how I was doing! Tomorrow they put int he cabinet and install the bad sink ( culprit of the flood! ) then move furniture!!! Yay!!!

NM - happy snuggling with Sadie!

Hooray!!!   Sadie is home!   Pancho is dragging a big bag to the "Park" filled with yummies, new tennis balls, greenies, stuffed animals, and just a few bites of filet mignon to share with Sadie!!!  He promises to wait--patiently--until Sadie and NM are through with their reunion before he breaks open the bag.   Can you just picture him sitting there with tail wagging, bag in mouth, and being patient!!!   Ha!!!!!  Hurry up, NM--Pancho wants to give you a big slurpy kiss and sniff Sadie, and I want you to join me out at the pool!!!

Much to comment on but am totally frazzled just now.   If this friggin' heat doesn't break soon, I am going to be a real basket case!    Have been an anal nut case today trying to convert some usual comany oven recipes to a crock pot version so as not to have oven on for hours......we'll see how they turn out!!!

ChEars, chairs...we have so many toasts!!!...bottoms up...cheers....dog beers.....ohhhh No!  Pancho--don't open the steak just yet!    Big big huggggsssss to all y'all!!!!

Just got back from a very foggy drive down the coast. We crossed the Golden Gate bridge and could hardly see it. The girls were bored but the dogs loved Mendocino. They loved the hotel. They loved the car. And now they're lovin just being home. They're just happy campers! We stopped for a quick dinner and left them in the car. They were so excited to see us you would think we'd been gone for days. Now my cats are crawling all over me and purring too. Ahh, it's good to be home!

Welcome, Mary. Glad you didn't have to do chemo (I didn't either).

Wow, I missed a whole page of posts! Sorry I missed out on wine at the pool, Beanie. Just before I left home Tuesday morning, I checked my email and there was a message from a large client letting me know they were cutting the part of their overhead budget and I was on the list. I've been losing clients like crazy lately so I was pretty upset and decided not to go wine tasting on the trip. Now that I'm home I'm breaking out a bottle of Anderson Valley cab -- see you at the pool!

Hmm, if I named my plants would they last longer? The only houseplants I have are orchids and ivy. They ivy dies all the time and I replace it (free at OSH) but the darn orchids usually bloom once and then just sit there so I feel bad about getting rid of them.

Oh, I got some good news in my email too though -- I passed my July exam! Grab a glass and help me with this bottle... it's a magnum!
