Dang it....how the heck do I hit the wrong key after writing such a long post? AARRGGHHHH....lost it, so frustrating, will try to rewrite (what I remember...lol).

Junie, I was ROFLMAO at your post....could just imagine you being in your own little world and wearing the bra outside your shirt...and then DH just standing there watching! Bet he wishes he had a video cam in his hand.If he did, then girl, you would be on Funniest Home Videos in a heartbeat....OR....committed somewhere. So funny though, and I love the way you write when you are relating these wild things that happen to you!

    Nice pics Chrissy!!!!

Stanzie, Sure hope the feeding will go well tomorrow, and that sweet Liesl can keep it down. Main thing is getting some nutrition into her. Best wishes to you both!

OK, I have no idea how that type got soooo big.Hit a wrong key AGAIN!!!! Glad that I didn't miss the party! When are we having it? Maybe a big Saturday Night Blowout??

    Nite nite girls!

chrissy - LOVE the cat masseur! My kitties give each other rubs all the time. Maybe I should get them a table.

RainCityGirl - thanks for your comments on Seattle area. I visited Seattle several years ago... stayed in a huge high-rise hotel and explored the parks, and Pike Place of course. We loved Seattle but I'm not a city person so I've been researching more rural areas around Seattle. Another favorite area is Portland. DD wants to go to college there (first choice). Haven't been there in years but I remember feeling really at home there. My parents lived in southern Oregon for many years. I'll be taking DD up there during semester break to check out the area cuz she was pretty small last time we went there. I guess it will all depend on where we can find work too...

I have this visual of Claire in supa-fit cycling pants struttin into early service with Ozzie -- LOL I bret he's as big as you are! And I have this little wiener dog that I call a cocktail veen-ahr cuz he's kinda like an appetizer of a dog. I took both dogs on a power-walk today and people laughed at them. I guess they are kind of funny together with their long bodies and stout little legs. They are both so friendly. Anyone who doesn't love my wiener has a character flaw. Frankly I think the neighbor is taking his agressions out on us cuz our dogs don't bark that much and they never bark at night.

Junie - I think it's Bad Communication Week. My DH got mad at me the other night and I told him he should try to be nicer to me. I didn't mean because I've had a bad year, I meant because I'm his WIFE but he told me to get off the "pity wagon" which totally pissed me off. Really glad I didn't have a bra on over my top when I stormed out! Called my girlfriend who was on her way to rads and she just had a tiff with her SO.

Stanzie - geeeeez! Somebody give that girl some shots!

I'm having a little Pinot d'Alsace myself. It's kind of sweet but yummy... tastes like guilty pleasure.

Hi Stanzie, I'm new to the place.  What an awful experience, I'm so sorry!  Good luck with the feeding tube today.

Well I didnt drink during chemo, only because I could not stand the taste of red wine, I tried other sweeter things with more sugar and taste but I just felt worse next day. My only vice is a glass or two of red wine at the weekends, and I will be damned if I am going to be a nun for whatever time I have left , anyway they keep banging on about how red wine is good for you, look at the french and there diet . Think I will move there and I will not be frowned upon especially when Im drinking with my bald head in a restaurant . Im not dead yet Im enjoying life in my own sweet way. Who can deny us that after what we go through .Tongue out

Stanzie--I do so hope Leisl's feeding tube will work.  And I'm sure you can find some cute sweaters/shirts for her to wear that are absolutely adorable--I've seen them in the local PetCo.  The colonoscopy prep sounds horrid, and not something I'm looking forward to.  My PCP sent a referral for me to have a colonoscopy to the local GI docs a couple months ago, I'm still waiting to hear from them about an appointment.  I am NOT going to call and them remind them, either!

Junie--all I can picture is the older bra commercials where the models wore the bras over black turtleneck, long-sleeve shirts!  And I can just imagine your DH thinking you are running around the house "advertising" having bc and thining you've finally gone over the edge.  I hope dinner was good!

Wahine--don't you hate how the keys on the computer develop a life of their own?  Drives me crazy to lose a posting, sometimes I lose them 2 or 3 times before it either goes thru or I give up.

AStorm--never heard of Pinot d'Alsace, but it sounds very, very yummy.  I hope I can find some when I stop to get groceries later today.

How about a Lost Posting for a DOTD?

    1 oz Cherry Vodka
    1/4 oz Creme de Menthe
1/2 oz White Creme de Cacao
    1 oz Orange Juice
    1 oz Heavy Cream

Good Morning everyone! And welcome to our new barflies!!! Jenilo, nice to have you here....you can drink ALL you want, and it is TOTALLY acceptable! Look back a few (well a lot of!) posts and find the link to what our HTL is all about....Lori put the video together and posted the link, and then Beans reposted it for the newbies within this past week. Where in England do you live? My paternal grandma came from there, although I never got to meet her. When she was on a round-the-world cruise with her parents, she met a guy, fell in love, he followed the ship to Hawaii, where she got offf and they eloped. Sadly her parents disowned her after that as he was an Aussie journalist, and waaaaay back then (early 1900's) they stupidly thought everyone from there was a criminal! My maternal great-great-grandpa invented the ukulele on his way to Hawaii from Madeira around 1865. One of my relatives from back then, from Madeira, arrived as a stowaway and later worked for dept of Immigration...I think thats funny!

NM...YUP....that DOTD is purrfect!!! Just don't know how these keys have a mind of their own. Glad its not only ME that does that!

Gail, Awwwwww  your weiner dogs, or should I say "cocktail veen-ahs" (love that!), just sound adorable! My neighbors g'kids just got one and I got to meet it the other day....so sweet! Stanzies baby, Liesl, is a long-haired weiner dog, and just beautiful. If some year I decide to not have a big dog (or 2), then I surely will consider a short-or-long haired weiner! I TOTALLY AGREE with you about the Bad Communication week (to put it mildly....lol). My DH acts like he "has his period" or something...totally unreasonable lately....aaarrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Sometimes I think I am better off not saying a word!

HD, are you feeling better today? Hope you had the day off yesterday, and well, how about today too for that matter! When will your PS try to fix that mesh problem?

GAWGEOUS day again here today, but storms moving in over the weekend, and temps will be MUCHO lower. Will have to move into the HTL till the nice weather returns....luckily it is always nice at our HTL.

    Here's to "Lost Postings",,,*raises glass*...*clink*....ahhhhhhh thats good!!!!

    BARMEN!

NM - thanks for the yummmmmy cocktail! Lots of fruit... very healthy for breakfast.

Kathy - I only have one mini vee-nah. The other is a small corgi (not much bigger in stature than the wiener).  I love long-haired dachshunds - they are so pretty. Wire-haired are comical with their whispers too. Glad i didn't have to choose. He's my DD's dog and she got to choose (we reserved right of refusal of course). Actually I think he chose us. When we went to see the litter she wanted a black & tan female but a red male loved us and the black and tan female didn't. I've never had a small dog before... the corgi was kind of a compromise (I had an Australian cattledog before that), but this little guy weighs about 10 pounds, We worry about Liesl losing weight.

I'm making cranberry muffins and then off to friend's house for puppy playdate and coffee... then work (ughh). TGIF!

    Sunshiny day to everyone!

OOPS, sorry for the faux pas Gail! Can't keep all our fur-babies straight!!! I know what you mean about thinking you are going to get a different dog. When we saw Maverick (was named Rabbit!) at the dog pound after falling in love with his online pic, and he was soooo sweet, we realized his sister who was so shy needed to stay with him. So instead of getting one dog, we got two, and it turned out to be the best decision ever! And Molly (who had been Sally!) is just as sweet as can be, and has a special place in our hearts too. My DH did not want me to look for another dog after we lost our beloved Max (short for Max-A-Million!), as he thought he could not love another like that. But within a month I found Maverick and Molly, and of course it didn't take long for him to fall totally in love with them! And the funny thing is, although I have always had pets, DH had not had one for years....now he knows what he was missing!!! Give your Corgi a hug, and let him know I did not mean to refer to him as a weiner....lol!

    Ciao for Niao,

Where is everyone? I have the bar (and Pants and Jocks) all to myself....hmmmmmmmm. What kind of mischief can I get into? Maybe I can have them BOTH give me a massage at the same time....one can do my back, and one can do my feet.....ahhhhhh heaven! But yes, I will share, if someone wants to join me here! Having a Seagrams/Diet Pepsi and some yummy brie. I know, it doesn't really go together, but tastes sooooo good! DH just came home with the brie so I didn't want to wait.....

Pau Hana Time!!!! Okole Maluna (Bottoms Up)!

Just joining the PAR-TAY now.  Notice I could use another glass of wine, but I also need to put dinner on the table.  Rottie who goes to church isn't mine, but belongs to a couple who come about half the time.  He is the most wonderful mellow dude.

Wahine....hope you managed just fine with all that male attention.

I need an early evening as have a 40 mile group ride on the agenda for tomorrow.  Hoping we don't get too wet.  However, I do have some lovely new Body Shop bath oil if we do.

Then finish up something I was procrastinating on, so in client's Inbox for Monday.

Wishing all the "lounge lizzies" a wonderful Friday evening.

gawgeous day here, too!   Got some much needed rain last night and today, the air has just a bit of a nip in it.  Our trees finally got some fall color--not vibrant colors but last few days have been lovely.

Always good to see Dee pop in--hope you can make it to our next Par-Tay and stay and visit out at the pool with us!   Lori--glad your visit is going well--we'll see you soon poolside!!!

This purge of the household is really an experience (we are on our 3rd dumpster load!!!)   We are both so disorganized and helter-skelter, but slowly but surely getting there.   Today, I was back in the kitchen and got to looking at my kazillion cookbooks that I've accumulated over the years.    Out of them all, there are only 3 that I go to over and over.   And, it dawned on me that I use those less and less because I usually just google if I'm looking for something different to make!   So--think I will hang onto my few favorite books and send the rest to landfill heaven!!    Scary, sometimes, to think how the internet/technology has revolutionized our world in so many ways!  By the time we are through and the dumpster is picked up, I will be the QUEEN of AR-ness!!!!!

Think I will have Skate ice me down some dog beers and go see who all is at the pool.   Need to round up Pants and Jocks to see how the Par-Tay plans are coming.....anyone have any suggestions for a theme yet?

Thinking I need a return trip to my doctor this week--feel a lot better but can tell this crap is hanging on--maybe another round of antibiotics?   Am feeling better enough to finally have the interest/energy to scope out a week trip to Mexico--IF I can feel just a bit better and IF I can figure out how to work it in between the up-coming new grandbabies!!!      Think DH and I both need a welcome break from all our hard work!!!

HunkyD--you feeling better yet?   Maybe we all need to buy stock in Kleenex and let HD make us rich!!!!

Have a great Saturday-----------here I come with my dog beers----where's my raft?   Who's giving massages today?   Where's the buffet?????   s--p--l--a--s---h!!!    ahhhhhh, the water is perfect and I didn't lose my beer!!!!

    hugggssssss to ALL!!!                  bottoms UP!!!!

This place has been busy.  I am still coughing and tire easily.  I think do have the Junie bug!  I am taking anti-B's but I don't think they can fix virus schtuff!  I hope I am on the uphill climb.  Got a busy week next week. Junie, can you come to my house next?  I will have to get rid of DH and rent the dumpster, but while you are on a roll, you would be a great surprise.  You can wear your bra AND panties on the outside if you want all day!  LOL!  Going to join you at the pool....don't worry, I think you can't catch what I have since you have had it.  By the way, I signed up for a new onc.  2 hour drive from here.  Hope I like him.  Bean...where are ya?  Happy Saturday to all.  cHairs!  Hunkydory

OMG I hope I did not catch the "junie bug" from cyberspace!!! Sounds rough, and like it stays around awhile like an unwanted guest. I rarely get headaches, but today have had a tummy ache all day (plus what goes with it), and now a headache. Usually when I get a headache, sickness follows. HunkyD....I TOLD you to wash off the keyboard after you use it!!! lol. Sounds like junie is making big headway with the purge! I am doing it on a teeny-weeny scale. Trying to organize all the drawers and cabinet stuff before putting it back in the kitchen....not getting rid of nearly enough stuff, but its a start! I am upset with one of the countertops, so *hoping* they will fix it, but it sounds more like they want to add backsplash to cover the side that is too short, and that is NOT gonna fly with me. Aarrgghhhh....howcum when you have ANYTHING done, it never is done right the first time! Except when our mamas gave birth to us....cause I know we are all perfect!!! LOL....not! I can just picture all of us wearing our bras and panties OUTSIDE of our clothes and starting a new trend, thanks to our own junie! So funny, HD! I don't wear bras anymore though, so maybe a lampshade on my head?

Yeah Beans, where are ya? I know you told us, but I forgot. Hope you are having a great time wherever you are!

Pants, please fix us some hot toddies and get us W-E-L-L.....thank you dear Pants!!!

Kathy, you know that post a bit back where you were wearing the bra on the outside.... Well not only is that hilarious but I so can relate to every bit of it. wish you were here and we were doing all that. Because of Liesl I haven't done anything - my whole house it a total disaster, haven't seen the grocery store in weeks, laundry other than all the towels she has thrown up in haven't gone there..... just to total disaster.... At least the whole bra thing would have made it all worth while. Having met you all does make it all the funnier, if you know what I mean! You are so wonderful!!!

So, Liesl was doing a bit better. She isnt' thilled with the tube needless to say but it is easy. My first day was scary as I had this computer guy here helping me as my computers all decided to give up on me and the first two checks on how she was doing about broke my heart. The food was just sitting in her tummy and not moving. Trying to work with this guy and not let him see how upset I was. Then she goes outside and I can't find her anywhere..... (I'm thinking she has gone off to die) But really can't find her even though she is wearing a bright red sweater! Finally find her and after 6 hours her tummy starts to work!!! So I'm thrilled and we are working on this.

Last night I had tickets to take my other two kids to a concert. So I took my son with Down Syndrome(hates loud music) and Liesl as I'm scared to leave her over to my ex. Well unbeknownst to him Sean decided to give Liesl a treat of chicken! So last night she threw up almost nonstop! It was just horrible. Then this morning her breathing finally returns to normal and I'm thinking OK got over this.... she goes outside and three times we can't find her so I decided to go and get some supplies to make a temporary fence. I had barely left when my son calls crying saying Sean has fed her large chicken nuggets!!! I race home and she is wheezing .... I email the vet and they say to keep her upright so I do for 2 1/2 hours while I'm crying. Just horrible. She finally calms down. then about 30 min. ago she has started throwing up the chicken.... sounds like another rough night.

So want to get back to laughing and partying with you all..... Thank you all so much for all the love, warmth, kindness and thoughtfulness - You all are the best!!!!
