Let's see if this worked. If it did this is Cloe. She's the one that helped me through all the rough times this past year. She wasn't feeling to good, you know the darn teeth hurt when they come in. She is almost 10 months old, this was last weekend just before we went shopping for her costume.

I'll post one one Lailoni as soon as I get up to see her.

    Robin,

Did you by any chance get decadron with this chemo? I got the kind of flush you described from decadron. And I felt so wired that they cut it in half the second time around. still flushed, but tolerably. And oh, not only my face, but my new boob as well. Not the old one. Funny.

AlaskaDeb, you are tempting me with all those goodies. Some how a rice cripy treat doesn't compare with cake lathered with chocolate and ice cream. Deliciously sinful.

Now off to try and get some zzzs...Jeannette

Good morning everyone. Had one heck of a late night yesterday. Borrowed a generator and TV so I could watch the Bears game. First 3 quarters were disgusting. The Bears looked terrible. Grossman (our quaterback) was either throwing interseptions or fumbling! Anyways, we came back from 24 to 0! Da Bears one and I was in my teepee at 11:00 pm jumping up and down and screaming. Oh my, its the little things that can get us so excited.

Chilly again this morning in the circle. I have all but abandoned my wagon. This tee pee is great. Lots of room and warm. I just threw on more logs. Very chilly this morning and raining. Not big drops. The misty stuff - gets ya wet but slowly. Looks like another morning where daylight will just automatically appear - no sunrise - too cloudy.

So much is going on here once again in the circle. Has anyone heard from Lisa? Wondering about her onc visit and if she was able to get on the clinical trials she was so hoping for.

Holley: Hoping today is a better day. We are here for you. Day and night! Have lots of food, healing light, and herbs to calm your fears. Sounds like you and Robin are on the same Taxol schedule. 1st one down! Yippee. Hair loss twice, well that stinks. But if hair loss is the only side effect I will be so happy for you.

Robin: Oh sweet Robin, Im so glad you came back to the circle. First round of the new chemo yesterday? I remember hearing that the first dose of Taxol is the hardest. Be alert for allergic reaction. So if you still have that redness make sure and let the onc know. They changed me from taxol to taxotere, and that was one of the reasons. For some reason, I was allergic to taxol, not taxotere. Doesnt make much sense does it? They are both from the Yew tree. One is from the bark and one is from the needles. I remember I had to take Decadron the day before, the day of, and the day after. Worst part of the Decadron was it made my face puffy! My wagon is loaded with supplies. Come to the red cross teepee! Have wash clothes for your forehead, pills and herbs for anxiety, lots of pain meds, and lots of healing light to help you through this. Got a special beds for you ladies getting chemo. It slowly massages you, until you are able to fall asleep. Hey Robin - one down!! Hope it kicks that bc butt like the other chemo did.

Baldeagle: That portable potty is just too funny. Im picturing a biker dressed in leather with tatoos driving around in it. You made me laugh this morning.

Susan: What can I say. You are just a sweetheart. You always make me feel better when I see you post. Sounds like your chipper again. Whew - that moment passed - well, until the next one. But hey, we will be here for ya. But right now liz and I need help in the medic teepee. Lots of ladies getting chemo, being diagnosed with reoccurances again. We have lots of work to do.

Leigh: Ok - first of all Ft. Lauderdale is my favorite place to go in Florida. I just love it. My friend took me there 2 years ago. Had an ocean side view from my balcony and had my own little spa to go to. Oooh what a wonderful time I had.

Amy: Oh you cracked me up with your story about Dana. That Yankee Pitcher was a cutey. Laughter is good. Thats what I like about Irish funerals. You drink, celebrate a new life, and tell wonderful stories. Italian wakes - well, my mom was born in Italy, and I swear when she was living, she was a professional mourner. Throwing her arms up in the air and screaming. Yep that was my mom. And continued to do it until she lost her voice. So get Maxer the Tazer ready - we have lots to do today. Kristin is getting chemo #2. And we have lots of ladies in the medic teepee.

Peggy: OMG. What a beautiful outhouse. Yes it was well worth the wait. You gotta be so happy with it. The only problem I see is the ladies standing in line to use it. But it looks big enough to hold many of us. Sending you a sweet hug.

Liz: So no Im jealous. You have learned how to post pics. And what a great one you posted.

Cheryl: Cloe is a doll. I can see how she helped you through alot of hard times. Hope she is feeling better soon. So what is she gonna be for Halloween?

Shirley: That horse is just about the greatest thing I have seen in a while. Your grandson is gonna absolutely adore it. Good exercise too - for grandma.

Vickie: OMG! Sounds like you didnt run into a deer. Sounds like the deer ran into you. Im just glad you are ok. If you wake up and your muscles are sore, we have lots of healing oils for a special massage. Sounds like it was pretty upsetting. Looking for new cars is not fun, but coming home with one is. Hope you find a nice one.

Lini and Deb C: Now stop hogging the tub! And what a life, eating chocolate while sitting in the hot tub! Now thats the life. The only thing better would be to have a chocolate fountain and some nice white wine.

Shel: How are ya girlfriend? Tough times right now, but there is the smell of freedom in the air for you. I can taste it. Your one tough cookie, so I know your gonna get through this.

Lynn: I sure understand about your DH! Can we ever really move on? I dont think so. No one understands me besides the ladies here. Im not obsessed with it anymore, but it sure is good to come here and talk to my friends. Most people think my bc is in the past. Well its not. Its still staring me in the face, trying to show its ugly head. Right now, Im making an uglier face and keeping it at bay. What has changed is that I dont spend hours upon hours on the boards anymore. But early morning, its my time - I should be exercising, but I would rather talk to all of you.

Well its time for me to go. On my 3rd cup of coffee now, and I want to make sure I leave some for you all when you wake up. Forgot to tell ya, I had a confrontation with a crabby nurse yesterday. She was so mean. I told her she should quit her job and go work for a grocery store. Bagging items! Well, it made me feel better. Sometimes, some people in health care have such condosending attitudes! Distored Humor left her a big pile to step in! That makes me smile.

Have a wonderful day. Homemade strawberry breakfast pie is in the oven. Should be ready when you wake up.

Just one more note. Im looking for Carrie, Denise, LuAnn, Silvergirl and tgirl. Hope you are all ok.

    And where is No Surrender?

    Nicki

Amy, loved your story about your friend. Death doesn't have to be depressing, does it?

Robin, hang in there. I'm like Nicki, I had to switch to Taxotere from Taxol, also. It doesn't make sense, but the SE were much easier on my body.

Peggy, I love the outhouse. I am standing in line for a nice, hot bath with some sweet smelling bubbles.

One of the other teachers here hit a deer on the way to school yesterday, too. It blew her radiator. My son said that here in Ky you have to eat it if you hit it. I don't know if that's a law, but all the rednecks say it.

    Have a great one!

Morning girls, I didn't take notes again so hugs and prayers to you all.

Today is going to be one of those days. I turned on the TV and it went snap, crackle and pop! Reminded me of Rice Krispies. So I guess I'll be TV shopping now.

Hopefully, my MIL will be out of the hospital today. All her labs came back good except her sodium level. Told her to eat salt! She'll be having the Kyphoplasty on her back next week after my FIL has a Cystoscopy for urinary incontinence. The fun just keeps coming.

Thanks to everyone for planning on coming to the root canal appt. The closer it gets the more freaked I get.

Jeanette, I'll let you know how it goes. I'm sure out minds are making it much worse than it's going to be. Thank goodness for drugs.

I'm going to make a Sopapilla Cheesecake for us for dessert. It sounds yummy. Just what I don't need. LOL

Hugs and prayers to you all going through chemo, tests and anything else that causes us stress and problems.

I'll be with Nicki in the teepee. It is very warm in there and we'll do whatever we can to provide you with comfort and rest.

Ok Jeanette and Liz, you aren't the only ones who need a root canal.

    Good afternoon circle girls.
I managed to make it out of the tub (thanks Peggy!) and to work in my rental car. Stiff and sore but ok. It looks like the insurance company is going to pay for the repairs rather than total the car (5,000.00 in damages). I was really hoping they would total it so I could go out and get another vehicle in the next couple of days...the rental car is going to make quite a dent in my account if I have to drive it for 3 to 4 weeks while they put my car back together!
Baldeagle...I need the portapotty!!! I now (on top of everything else) have a UTI (urinary tract infection) which is making me miserable. How in the world do you stop the terrible burning and the constant feel of "needing to go"...help!
AlaskaDeb...I am so glad there isn't any wildlife bigger than deer here...they all seem to target me! I swear there are kamakaze rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, woodchucks and deer all hiding in the bushes just waiting for me to sail by so they can jump out in front of me. Or in the case of the deer...on top of me! I swear it was like that deer fell out of the sky!
Sheri...I live in redneck country...after hitting the deer I drove back to the store in town (very small, blink your eyes you've missed it town) and it was full of hunters who all jumped in their vehicles to go see what I'd hit...there was way to much damage to salvage him for food though.
NS...where are you??? Sending you a hug for good measure.
Shel...are you packing for your vacation yet? I think Lini has flip flops that might bring you some luck with the man hunting!
Lini...no fair teasing us about wearing flip flops when we're freezing our butts off...just kidding...your descriptions of sunny days will warm us all winter.
Leigh...my daughter lives in Eustis Florida and I was in Florida last month and we stayed at Cocoa Beach for a week...wish I were still there.
Robin...come to the teepee and cuddle up and we'll keep you safe from harm.
Cheryl...Cloe is a doll...isn't it wonderful to have children around to keep us going no matter what.
Susan...I just love seeing your posts, you always bring a smile to my face.
Silvergirl...where are you? Hope you are out having fun but know that we miss you.
Leaving a lot of girls out but it's back to work for me. Know that I'm thinking of you all.
    Hugs and love

Thank you Lini, you are the sweetiest thing.Along with everyone else that is.
Cloe is beautiful.I feel the same about my little Noelle.I dont think i would have made it without having to hang on for her.
The redness in my face is going away now.I did take decadron the day before and the day of plus a pre-med boost so that might be what is cause that.I know i just dont feel good today.I got up early and went back to bed and slept till 1 pm today I felt so rough.I am not going to try and fight it like I did last time.Because it ended up winning in the end.
Thank you for all your support.I am coming to the cuddle tent right after i go to the first aide first so see you all there.

oh sh*t ladies...i just wrecked car number two in two days. driving home with the rental car a lady pulled out in front of me, i hit the brakes to miss hitting her...ended up in the friggin ditch...airbags went off...what a mess. banged up my face, my hands the car. she pulled back in her driveway, the police came and i explained what happened, she lied and said she didn't pull out that she was just sitting at the bottom of her drive and i lost it!!!! i am so incredibly p*ssed...how can someone tell a bald face lie like that!!! the cop told me that it was her word against mine and since i didn't hit her he couldn't write her any tickets and let her go without even getting her name!!! I'm sorry but...WTF!!! when she left she pulled out and actually drove down the wrong side of the road before slowly going into her lane and then the cop says to me "Is that what she was doing when you came around the corner!!!!" I told him yes and thats what I had been telling him all along, he just wouldn't listen. No tickets but damn...I wrecked the rental car.
My hands are banged up from the steering wheel...should i get this checked out (worse on my "missing lymph node" side)? I just don't know what to friggin do at this point. Need a rock to crawl under for a few days.
If it weren't for bad luck i'd have no luck at all.
Sorry for dumping on all of you again...you are all i've got.

Hey ladies, chemo #2 was today and so far so good! I am tired and was lazy and did not take notes, but wanted to check in and let you know I am OK! Vickie, sorry to hear about your run-in with the deer, but I am glad you are OK! Carrie, thanks for the chemo-box idea! I am going to go out and get a bunch of rocks once this darned rain stops! Nicki, thanks as always for your words of encouragement! Between you ladies and the girls on the Oct ’06 chemo thread, the support is amazing. I am so thankful that I found this site. I have been talking to some other ladies with BC while getting my chemo, and most of them have not heard of breastcancer.org. I don’t know how they have been getting through without all the tips for coping as well as the practical tips as well as just knowing what to expect! I always tell them to check it out…it is never too late to seek out information and support!

Going back to bed now...will check in tomorrow!

Wow, Vickie, I just read your latest post. You have a right to vent, don't worry about apologizing! I can't believe that woman, it just isn't fair that she gets to walk away and not have to deal with any of it. If you had know that you might have decided to just plow right into her! I am sorry that you have to go through this. Sending prayers and hugs your way.

The cop actually told me that you never swerve to miss someone...you hit them!! If you don't then it's your word against there's...what a lousy "rule". The last thing I would want to do is hit someone and hurt them but let me tell you...some a$$ pulls out in front of me again...they are toast!
    thanks Kristin.

what a bummr.I dont know how people can look anyone in the eye and tell a lie like that.It seems to me like they could have done something to prove you are telling the truth and she lied,i dont know w hat but something should be able to be done.
I hope she dosent sleep a wink tonite that her conscious keeps her up all night.
I hope you have not done any damage either.if you have pain or swelling or brusing i would get it checked out just to be sure.

And ROBIN! It's so good to see you. Hope you get to feeling better.

Vickie, I won't let you fall off the horsey. He's very friendly and I'm sure he won't take you far. And sorry you can't just hop in a new car. That sucks!

Deb, I want some of those puffs and cake and chocolate syrup and.... If it's dark chocolate it's good for you, right?

Nicki, oh my goodness! That story about your mom and mourning made me "belly laugh." That's how my mom acted when my grandfather died. My poor grandmother had to watch. But, being in the little Polish town they lived in was something else. There was plenty of food, people and beer.
They know how to carry on with life. Your posts always make me laugh.

Liz, I promise the root canal won't hurt. I have a wonderful doc who gives the best shots. Can't even feel them. And he's always done a super job on the root canal. I don't believe I had to take any pain meds. The worse part is keeping your mouth open. I know I'll need at least two crowns. Good luck.

Oh my gosh, Vickie! I just read your post about your second wreck. That makes me so mad. How can that idiot live with herself! Darn, too bad you didn't hit her car. Or maybe not. The cop probably would have believed her anyway. I'm so sorry. And so sorry you are banged up. Bless your heart!

Kristin, hope you feel better. Get plenty of rest.

Vickie, I have posted this little guy before for someone else. I hope this woman will be miserable (God forgive me..LOL). For you.

Grrrrrr...I am SO angry I could spit! My friend Linda just got her preliminary path report from her lumpectomy and the tumor was 6cm instead of the 3cm they expected and she has 4 out of 10 nodes positive. I am so sick of BC I want to hurt something. I’m trying to be helpful from 3,000 miles away and I can do so little.

Ladies, we need a cure. No one else should have to get this damn disease. No one.

Thanks you all for the wonderful comments about Cloe. She was born just two months after my dx and has been my insperation to fight as hard as I can for all of us.
She came to me in a dream and told me I needed to get my mammogram done now rather than wait. 6 days later I did and it showed the cancer that would have devoured me had I waited til my normal time. I never felt a lump and neither did the doctors. She is my saving grace.
