neesie - LOL  we'll never tell.  Nicki and I have known each other for so long we talk in code.  Nah just joking.    Of course you can come play with us!

They just had on the news that there's a 25 car pile up in Topeka, KS!  This is one nasty storm.

Liz:  Ohhhhhhhhhh..........I hate hearing of accidents.  On real the storms your way....did I hear Nicki say you're getting 7 or 8 "?  Be careful out there....better yet...don't go out!  I hate that the Doc through a little wrench at ya just before the Holiday..............after the scan comes back nice and clear we will take that wrench and tighten a few of his nuts!

Nicki:  Closets cleaned out............I say.........hey, it'll be warm again in 6 months!  And you're baking also!

I'm thinking I'll leave Nicki and Liz's conversation between them!  Love ya both!

Okay.......This morning I decided I can not procrastinate any longer........I've been wrappin presents all day.   I am not a pretty wrapper....I'm a get the box in there and tape it up type of person.  Just a couple more to go and I will call it quits.

I haven't read much the last couple of days...........just enough today to see alot of pissy people...........me included.

I'm with you all..........let's pile our plates with food, glasses with wine, jump in our jammies and sit back and forget the world of craziness for the night.  I'll have the "party" at my house!

One obligation out of the way...............1st. wedding of the week is over as of last night.

Monday is 30 in laws at my house day.

Tuesday is 'THE DAY' and is not going to be like I planned.

    Friday is Wedding number 2..........................

So like I said........1 obligation down and 3 to go.

We all need to get away.............Think maybe if we contact Oprah...she'll find a way for all of us to go on the BCO cruise this April?  That would be way cool!

I was talking to Susan the other day............We actually got to laughing....(she always makes me laugh!).........anyhow, we decided we should rent an RV this summer and take a Road Trip...........just keep driving and see how many girls we could visit!!  Now, for those who know the both of us..................just how far do you think we'd make it?

Bren:  Hope your Butt gets some sleep tonight.........you are not self-absorbed...........you're having a rough time right now......physically, mentally and financially.............love ya.

Odalys:  I do pray for your family.......sending hugs and thoughts to you all and a special 'gentle' hug for your Mom.

    I'll be back tonight.................

    Hugs,

    Denise

Be careful--all of you in the storm's path. We have a dreary, yucky, damp day here in NJ. Tomorrow is supposed to be pouring rain and winds of 50mph. But I don't care 'cause I am gonna stay home and bake and finish the wrapping.

Bought myself a big bottle of wine to chug while I bake..lol.

Bren, I like your idea of everyone else going into the pissy tent...I'll bring some of the cookies I will bake tomorrow. Anyone like white zinfandel?

One more hour and work is done...have to go to Shoprite and then to 5:30 Mass. Will check in tonight.

Liz, great to see you too.

    Hugs and prayers,

    Hey Barb,

Did we welcome you yet?  Or did we just assume you were already welcomed with arms outstretched!!!  Glad to see you here!! There's plenty of room for another DH to throw in the pissy tent!!  Although I think we oughta keep an eye out for Denise and her nut/wrench tool. Laughing

neesie - ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!  I know you guys would at least get here - it's not far from Susan's.  LOL  The thought of you two in an RV just made me smile.  What fun that would be.   I'm a cheap date also - we could probably keep a bottle of wine between the two of us for hmmmm  a few months?  LOL    love ya

My silly cousin is driving 35 mph on the Interstate trying to get here from OKC.  She's almost here but it's so bad she can't see 100 feet in front of her and the ice is sticking on her wiper blades even with the defroster on high.  I swear, I am the only sane person in this family.  She and her mom will then return to OKC tomorrow for Christmas.

Hi Barb - sorry I didn't mean to ignore you.  Nice to meet you.

Bren I did put my sweats on because I had to go outside for a sec and I'm sure the neighbors are so tired of seeing me in my pj's and robe.  Plus it's cold!

Guess I'll go sit and watch a little basketball.  There's nothing else on.

    Hugs

Hi Barb.  Its a busy day so I dont have much time to talk.  Gotta go finish this darn closet.

Liz:  Snow snow go away, come again some other year.

OK - see ya later.  Break is over.  No wrapping presents for me today.  I have done enough!

Hey Barb...don't remember if I said hello before...but if so, hello again :)

So....Susan and Neesie in an RV on a road trip....LOL...I can see it now!  How many states do you think you could hit?  Here's a deal for you....if you guys do it I'll buy the GPS and program it with my address before you start!

We have been wrapping all day.  Every time I open a drawer or look on another shelf in my closet I find a gift I forgot I bought!  I think my mom is getting about 10 things!  LOL.  How many years can I blame this on chemo brain??

OK...My mom, dad, sister and her family are all coming over to make home made pizza tonight, so I had better go get the dough made.

Who wants what on their pizza....and whoever had the beer, pass me one!  About the only time I like a beer is with pizza....Mmmmmm

    Be back later

Hi all. Boy what a busy week. Seems like the kids parties and concerts and gift exchanges were never ending this week. It was a good never ending though. I finished shopping and wrapping last night. Today I feel a little under the weather so we just hung out in bed and watched a movie. Dh is now home for 3 days so that is so cool. He usually works Tuesday thru Saturday so he doesn't get many 3 day week-ends.

I hope everyone that is traveling is doing it effortlessly and safe. Enjoy this wonderful Christmas season with everyone you meet.

Barb:  I'm sorry I didn't welcome you earlier.................very nice to meet you..and you will soon feel very comfortable with this group of ladies!

I'm here Nicki..........just being a ditz as usual.  Making list after list and not putting my time to good use!  In other words...........I'm fine and dandy!

Deb:  Hey, MB...Deb is having homemade pizza tonight...............problem solved!  Deb.........have to check into what kind of a RV can 'drive' to Alaska!!

MB:  Hey, you can go with us on our road trip....................think we will record it and make a documentary!!  Only condition is NO EXERCISE on the road!!

Brenda:  All ready for Christmas, eh?  Good for you........hope you're feeling better tomorrow!

Candie:  Thanks for the wine..........but it didn't help my headache any!!!!

Was tonight regular Mass or a special Christmas Mass?

Bren:  You'd be surprised how much can be done with a simple little wrench......and a few loose nuts!  Hope both you and Mr. Tim are doing better!

Slonedeb:  Here's wishing you a special Christmas.......and glad you are feeling a bit better.  How nice of Jas to send you cookies!!  She's our Southern Sweetie!

Liz:  I do hope your Cousin arrived without trouble..............As you can see....we've (I've) got the wrench ready for the Doc after the holidays!

I'll be on a little bit tomorrow........but have alot left to do before noon on Monday.......................Hope all have a great Sunday!

Good Morning Everyone:  No sunshine this morning as its snowing.  Supposed to get 1-2 inches, but living right by Lake Michigan I will wait and see what the final forecast will be.  We always have to worry about that lake effect snow.

Its so weird cause it was warm enough yesterday that all of the 5 inches we got last week melted!  The the cold front came.  Winds with gusts of 50 mph!

Today my plan is to wrap my presents while sitting in front of the television watching football.  I dont care if the Bears are outta the playoffs - they are still my darlings and they are playing GreenBay which is our biggest rivalry.

Have to run out one time to get a Sunday paper and labels for my Christmas presents.  Why or why do I always forget the labels until the last minute?

Candie:  Sounds like a fun day planned.  I will be drinking Baileys and coffee while I wrap my presents.

Neese and Susan in an RV driving around the USA.  What a riot!  I can see them both bouncing around in their seats, hands on the steering wheel with a mission on their faces.  Haha - that was a good visual.  OMG now we just added PurpleMB.  What a trio you all would be.

DebC:  Homemade pizza sure sounds good.

Brenda/BMD:  Enjoy your time with you husband.  Im must say I am a little jealous that your presents are all wrapped.  I havent begun that task.

Slonedeb:  Good to see you pop in and say hello.  Cant believe it was 60 degrees!

Vicki:  Sunshine sister.  Where are you?  Hoping your ready for the holidays.

OK its early enough for me to take a little nap before I start the big wrapping session.

    Morning girls,

No it's not good - woke up with a horrible cold!  Ho ho ho.  LOL

My cousin arrived safely - she said she didn't ever want to drive in that mess again.  My other cousin (her sister) and her family got home safely from here late last night.  See I told you I am the only sane person in this family.  The one from yesterday will be leaving today with her mom to go back to OKC for the holiday's.  Hmmm wonder how her mom is getting home.  Me thinks I'm going to be involved in that plan somehow.

I'm taking my mom to do her final "shopping" tomorrow.  We have to pick up a few more things for the meal and then I just realized I need stocking stuffers.

Just thinking about Neesie and Susan in an RV going to Alaska has me smiling.  Yes Deb - they definetely will need a GPS.  I think MB and I will sit in the back and enjoy the trip.  Anyone else want to come?

I haven't read much but wanted to wish everyone a safe day.  Enjoy your family (even though some drive us wacko) and have a wonderful holiday!

    Hugs

Hey there cg's...Merry Christmas...hohoho..or should I say heeheehee...!

Been MIA for a couple days except for a quick post here and there...Christmas parties, Sunday school play practice (tonight at 7pm...oh say a prayer...this is gonna be a challenge LOL)...just everything!  Fall into bed totally exhausted.

We are under a high wind warning with rain today...the wind is fierce.  I see someone is getting 7 or 8 inches and Nicki's only getting 1 or 2...heck I can't even get a date!  (oops...sorry...need to visit the Mojo thread).

Liz my dear you are going to be just fine and dandy.  Sending lotsa prayers for arthritis or nothin!

Good morning sunshines sister Nicki...I'll get back on track next week after all this holiday rush.  I must say I considered joining you all in the pissy tent but forced myself not too.  I am determined to be happy.

    Hi to Barb and welcome!

Has anyone seen Madison...love ya giggle sister.

Neesie...heehee...you sound like me when it comes to directions...I seriously need a GPS...If you decide to drive to Alaska bring me along!

    Candie...cookies and wine!  Sounds grand.

Deb...bugs and fishes and Merry Christmas...love ya.

I have an idea...lets move out of the pissy tent...move over to the party thread and have a Christmas party...no fruitcake allowed.

I'll start it and we'll see if we can keep the our spirits up through Christmas...then of course we'll need a New Years Eve party!

love and hugs to every single one of you.

    Morning Ladies,

Just stopped in for a minute to say Hello ! Getting ready to go to a football party, to watch the Buffalo Bill lose their last home game !! I'm not a big football fan, but I do like to party!

My DH and I went to Key West in our RV in 2004-this year, his goal is to make it to Alaska-on his motorcycle. He went as far as Wyoming last year. I like to ride on the motorcycle, but not that far. Too bad he wasn't taking the RV--we could just pick everyone up along the way-and have one big party at the end.

Everyone, have a great day, talk to ya later

EmbarassedEmbarassedEmbarassedI'M SO EMBARASSED..............ME THOUGHT YOU COULDN'T DRIVE TO ALASKA!!!!!!  GEEZ, HOPE SUSAN IS KEEPING UP WITH ALL THE PLANS I'M MAKING FOR HER!!!

Yes friends.....I am geographically "challenged".............Thanks Deb for putting it nicely!!!!  Make sure the GPS talks and tells me exactly where to turn, stop for gas, pee and etc!!

Vickie:  You dirty little girl..............so glad you picked up on the 'inches' this time...........usually it's me!

Liz:  I hear you laughing at the thought of Susan and Me behind the wheel of an RV doing a Road Trip!  You and MB are more than welcome to sit in the back and "enjoy" the ride!

I'm glad your family arrived safely and left too!

Barb:  Alaska on a Motorcycle!!!!!!!!!  You need to meet BikerJan and WildJan!!  They might join you!  Enjoy your party today!

Nickie:  Hey, got those gifts wrapped yet?  I am LMAO at the visual you painted of Susan and I in the RV!!!!  I can just picture it!!

Susan:  You better get on here and show your face...............I've been making big plans for us!!

Candie:  My theory is this:  Why bother decorating the tree now.......just wait two more days and you can take it down!!  My family thinks I'm a scrooge cuz the day after Christmas I'm sooooooo ready to put my house back in order!

Speaking of which...............30 in-laws coming over tomorrow and I'm not near ready!  Have you ever had those days when you start to do a regular cleaning and you see something that needs attention and you dig a little deeper and get carried away?  Yup,,,,,,,that's me today.  It's clean under my bed......the dresser in the spare bedroom had dust bunnies behind it so I pulled out......and so on and so on............................but still haven't touched the main part of the house where all will be gathered!!

Okay, breaks over.............hope to see ya tonight!

    Hugs,

    Denise

Neesie--lol--I know what you mean about cleaning what doesn't need to be cleaned before having people over. Why do we do that?

Well, I am going to my sister's for Christmas Day, today I made a Christmas diner anyway for us to have after. Now why do I make more work for myself? I finished the cookies, too.

Oh,Neesie about decorating the tree...this morning I put the lights on upside down...meaning I thought I would plug INTO the star forgetting the star has to plug into the lights. So,yep, had to take them off and start over...lol.

I have a nice dinner heating up for myself...with a nice glass of wine..well, been hitting that for awhile now..lol

I so love Christmas this year. Last year I was doing chemo and couldn't even bake a cookie...so I am truly grateful this year.

Vickie, I will be over at the party later....just gotta finish a few more wrappings. I am basically done but there is always a few more.

    Ok, gotta go...see ya later.

    Hugs to all,

    Candie

Did someone say road trip???  I love road trips.  Can I tag along?  Where are we going?  Smile

Update on mom - she is doing better and will be discharged tomorrow.  We are making arrangements for home health and a private sitter.  It gives me great pleasure to be able to hire a sitter for mom.  A long time ago I promised her I would not place her in a home and I would do what ever I could to take care of her.  It's the least I can do.  Many years ago she made a huge sacrifice by leaving her entire family and flying the island to make sure I had a better life and a future.  Today, I do.

It gives me great peace to be able to take care of her needs.  It hasn't been easy to convince dad to let me help him but he finally agreed.  This is my true Christmas gift to them and to myself.

Thank you all for your prayers.  God has listened and is giving our family one last Christmas together.  We are really blessed.

Neesie called me a dirty little girl...oh my LOL!

Got the Christmas pagent behind us...yippee...the kids did a wonderful job and it was simply beautiful.  I kicked my toe beforehand on a chair in the hall and broke my toe...seriously...hurt like hell.  Said a couple of choice words right there in the church...figured I'd get struck by lightning but geez...I'm busting my butt getting these kids together...you'd have thought God would have moved that chair just this once!  Geez...I did apologize though.  I'm not pushing my luck!

    Good Christmas Eve Morning,

Merry Christmas,Peter...I saw that Santa starts in Australia this morning on the news.

    Well, I have been up since 5 am....wrapped a few more...done now.

But I can't find one of my niece's gifts. I decided this year to be a lil crafty and I wrapped her gifts and put them in a very pretty gold christmas stocking. As I separated all the gifts by family last night, I realized I can't find it now. The only thing I can think of is that I packed it in the christmas boxes back in the basement....I just checked a few and nope not there. What a bummer!!!

Well, I am going to take my parrot for a clipping this morning...stop at a few lil stores for a few last minute things and get back home. Gonna have breakfast first. And find my niece's gifts!!!!!

    Will check in later.

Ouch...Vickie...yes, you would think that God would have moved that chair!! Be careful with that toe as not to hit it again. Big ouch!!

Odalys, so glad your mom is improving. What a beautiful Christmas gift. Oh, go read on the secret pal thread

    Hugs and prayers
