Wow and double wow...............I have survived another dash and dive Christmas!  I think there should be an award for anyone that can be with more than 50 relatives in a two day period!!  I had a nice Christmas, but the Hustle and Bustle is almost more than I can bare anymore............the nerves and patience just ain't what they used to be!!

Hoping the day was all it was supposed to be for all of you, my dear friends!

As for this lady.........I'm hitting the couch for a few and then the bed......

    Love and Hugs,

    Neesie

Hi ladies.  I hope everyone had a good Christmas in the company of family and friends.  I must admit, I never really felt much of the Christmas spirit this year.  However, we had a very nice and fun filled Christmas eve and Christmas day.  Mom is stable and she seemed so happy to have us with her.  I think the real miracle was in the fact that my smaller brother and middle sister didn't get into a fight.  They usually find something to fight about.   And, when they can't they start stories about how I (the first born) am the favorite of the family.  Ah, sibblings.   Smile

Now, the count down begins to next holiday.

Okay, I better get to bed.  I have to go to work tomorrow.  Good night.  Love and hugs,

    Hi to all,

Have my jammies on and here with a nice cup of sleepy time tea and a couple of Christmas cookies. I had a very nice day. Started with bringing breakfast to my MIL. I made a great recipe...Holiday French toast. Cut up 3 granny smith apples, raisins and cranberries and toss with 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Place on top of that (in a 9x13 pan) french bread slice 1" thick. Pour over all of that 1 cup milk,6eggs,2 teaspoons cinnamon and 1 tablespoon vanilla (mix that together first before you pour it). Cover with foil and refrigerate for about 10 hours but no more than 24. Bake in 375 degree oven for 45 minutes, remove foil and bake another 5 minutes. Take out of oven and let sit for 10 minutes before serving...it is delicious!!!

After that I went to DD's house to have breakfast (made one for there too) and open gifts. Then back home to open gifts with DH and other DD and her boyfriend. Then we all went to my sister's house for dinner. Lots of gifts, good food and a nice day. I was a lil anxious cause I get like that with my parents and sisters but today went well.

Gonna watch some tv and off to sleep I go.

Slonedeb, please don't stop coming here. I don't know what kind of messages you are getting but you surely are wanted and needed here.

Glad to see posting of a good day for you.

    Have a good night's sleep...yes, Odalys...here comes another holiday.

    Hugs and prayers,

    Candie

Good Morning Everyone:  Well its back to work already for me.  I think thats one of the reasons the Holidays have been so hectic this year.  I just plain worked too much around them.  I am at least hoping the traffic will be light today.

PurpleMB:  Glad you enjoyed the Holidays.  So are you off until the New Year?  I sure wish I was.  Next big thing for me is a New Years Eve party - which I have already told my DH I am not going to.

Holly:  So glad to hear from you.  I found many moments where my thoughts came back to everyone here throughout the day also.

Neese:  My nerves and patience are shot.  Im getting too old for all of this preparation.  Every muscle in my body hurts this morning.  Im walking around like an old lady for petes sake.  Im also on a real sugar high.  Cannot believe how much candie and cookies I consumed over 2 days. Enough for the entire year.

Odalys:  So your in the working crowd too.  I swear next year Im gonna take the day before and the day after Christmas off.  I realized I need recovery time.

Candie:  Sounds like you had a good Holiday also.

Vickie:  Good morning sunshine sister.  Hoping you had a nice Christmas.

Bren:  I guess since I did have to drive home, it was good I for my meds!  My story is a long one too - but somehow this morning things dont seem quite as bad as I thought.

Wel despite my coffee, Im still tired.  Hoping my shower does the trick.  You all have a great day.

    Hi CG's,

Merry Christmas! I am back to work today but off after that till 01/2 so I won't complain. I just hope I make it through the day without falling asleep! I had a great Christmas this year. All my boys were with us as well as my future DIL.So different from last year! After next week I have to work on the finishing plans for my son's wedding in April. Keeping busy helps me not to dwell on any negatives in my life. I truly feel blessed.I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the holidays.

Happy day after Christmas everyone!  I'm glad it's over.  Sounds like everyone had a great day.

MB  I did notice that Nicki called me old!  LOL    We won't tell Madison we're coming.  We'll just pop in.  I'm not sure what the weather is like there right now.  The other day it was in the 30's!  To cold for pool time.  As for here - it's nicer than the hill but still nasty.

Nicki  be careful driving today and come home early!

The best present I received yesterday was a call from CY.  We had a wonderful visit.  She sounded good.  She goes today for a CT scan and bone scan.  The oncologist will use those as baseline tests as they are starting her on a new chemo Friday.

Off for more coffee - everyone have a great day.

    Hugs

Hi all. Had a great Christmas at this end of the Circle. It was cold and windy so it almost felt like Christmas. The boys are out jumping on their new trampoline first thing this morning.

I am suppose to have final ps surgery tomorrow but I have some kind of sinus crud so I don't know what the plan is right now.

Peter-Peter, Peter, Peter--It seems like ages since I have seen posts from you. I have not been spending as much time here because it is hard for me to keep up with both boards. I am happy to see you though.

Slonedeb-You stay right here woman. Nobody should ever say anything bad about you. You are awesome and don't stop posting.

I should be resting so that is what I am about to do. I really want that surgery over with since my $2500 deductible is already done for this year.

    Have a great day.

Good day CG's.  I've decided to take the rest of the week off returning to work on Jan. 2nd.  Yes, I am going to enjoy no travel, no early meetings, and no deadlines.  Ahhhhhhhhhh....

Cy - thinking of you today and hoping all goes well.

Slonedeb - hope you are okay and will post again soon.

    Candie - happy belated birthday.

Wild/Jan - love your pics.  I hope you are having better weather.

Nickie- I know what you mean about going back to work today.  This morning when the alarm whent off, I changed my mind and decided to take the time off afterall.  I really need it after all the stress with mom's condition and x-mas.  Besides, work will be a gost town this week with most administrators and directors taking time off.

Barb - Wow, you are the youngest of 10?  I bet you've had your fair chair of sibbling rivalries.  Smile  It must be so cool to have such a large family.  How many neices and nephews do you have?  Any  grandkids?  Wow, your x-mas list must be huge!

Joyce -  I don't think we've met.  Welcome to the group.

MB - too funny about your GD hidding your phone.  What is it with kids and phones?  Steven tends to use our phones and then we run around like crazy trying to find it every time it rings.  It drives me nuts.

Okay, back to bed to take another nap before Steven and Jose get home.  Enjoy your day.

    hugs to all

Oh dear....I am so far behind with reading I'm just going to plop my butt down here and start over!  I'd never catch up.

I hope everyone had a splendid Christmas....we sure did!  It began snowing Christmas eve while we were in church and snowed until about midnight last night...BEAUTIFUL!!!  We have about 6 inches of the fluffy white stuff.  Since all my older daughter asked for this Christmas was SNOW (I kid you not, she wouldn't even make a list...said all she wanted was enough snow for a good ski season) I would say all our Christmas wishes were answered.

My mom and dad came here in the morning and we opened gifts, had homemade cinnamon rolls, we played with our new presents for a while and then went the 1/2 a mile thorugh the snow to my mom and dads.  My sister's family came too and we ate WAY too much prime rib with all the fixings, opened more gifts, did a puzzle and played a few games, ate more food.....all in all a great Christmas :)

OK...it is 9:15 and the sun will be up in a half an hour or so.  John and the girls are going skiing, I am going to try and find the kitchen counter under a HUGE pile of STUFF and make homes for new presents. I hope you all are having a great day.

I'm backkkkkkk- well, kind of, sort of.  We will be having Christmas this weekend with a son and granddaughter that live out of town and his sister and her family.  Can I just please say "I'm pooped" doesn't come close to describing how tired I am.

Hubby has been really down in his back for close to 2 weeks.  I called on Christmas Eve for more pain meds and also to see if I could get him scheduled for another epidural steroid injection.  Good thing I worked for ortho guys for years - connections sure come in handy on a holiday weekend.  Injection is scheduled for tomorrow morning - I pray it helps.  This is going to get interesting with more family coming in and I'll have at least 2 evening meals to prepare; maybe Sunday lunch.  Dear Lord, help!!   Cry

Looks as if everyone came through Christmas OK - sorry I haven't been here to say hi or even to wish everyone a Merry Christmas - my cards will just have to suffice this year.  I was in the midst of lots of baking and preparing for to have our employees in for Christmas, shopping, traveling to Va for Christmas with Tammy and family.  (Oh, the new granddaughter is doing wonderfully - if I can figure out how to post pictures here, I'll post one of the new baby and her big sister) and then my family get together yesterday.

Sloandeb, I don't know what has gone on but I can tell you this from experience, THIS is where I came when I had no where else to go.  Lots of innocent people got hurt; some relationships still are fragile.

You're as welcome here as anyone - you post!!   Ignore those messages; in fact, block those that send them to you.  They are done to hurt and we have all seen enough hurt and suffering.

Deb you got snow!!!   We finally got some rain.

Cy know you were to have some test today.  Waiting and watching for a report.  Big hugs.

OK, time to go fold some clothes and unload dishwasher.  With hubby down in his back I'm now the official "slicer" and have to get to work early tomorrow to get things "sliced" and ready; then get hubby to doctor for the injection, bring him home and go pick up grandsons for the afternoon(their Mom ended up having to work and they will have to go with her until I can get there to pick them up) and at some point - probably late evening will have to go back and do more slicing.   I think I only thought I was tired - at some point going to have to change sheets and do minimal house work before the next kid/grandkid arrives for the weekend and the others hang out with us too.   If anyone is willing to let me run away - just tell me where you live and give good directions. Laughing I think my brain and body is so tired not sure I could comprehend complicated one.

    Hugs - Missed ya.   Brenda

Good Morning Everyone! Had to post a little sunshine this morning, as I hear another snow storm is headed our way.  Yesterday here in Chicago was just beautiful. Can you believe it - sunny and 40's the day after Christmas.  Since I had to go to a hospital along the Lake Shore, I stopped by Gillison Park and it was just beautiful.  The Lake was sparkling blue.  No ice, no waves.  Always good for mental health.

Im back at work, but this morning I did wake up early enough to try and say hello to everyone.

Slonedeb:  I sure miss seeing a post from you and hoping everything is ok.  As you can see if your reading, many many of us are worried about you.  Not just here in the wagon circle but other places too.  I think we are all dumbfounded as to why someone would say you are not wanted here.  Cause thats just not true.  So I hope you keep reading and check in with us.  I agree with what Sheri said.  This THREAD is where you belong and NO ONE can take that away from you.

Brenda/Naniam:  Yep, I do believe some relationships are fragile.  I really hate negativity that goes through pm's.  They are just hurtful.  I dont communicate through pm's anymore.  Your Christmas sounded so busy.  Mine was too and Im glad its over.

Shokk:  I must agree.  I do believe we all are in sync with each other. Its a special relationship.

PurpleMB:  A couple of years ago my cat hid my phone.  I guess she was playing with it.  Anyways, from that moment on I never put it on vibrate.  Took days to find the darn phone - it was hidden in the corner of my closet.

Odalys:  Im so glad you were able to put up your feet and take the rest of the week off.  This have been so hectic for you, especially with your mom being sick.  Hope you enjoy your time off.  I will be thinking of you as I hit the showers and get dressed for work today.

Liz:  Oh boy, Nicki is in big trouble cause I did call you old.  Haha - didnt mean to do it one purpose.  When is your test scheduled for.  Want to make sure I am with you on this one.

I was talking with my older sister yesterday.  She was diagnosed with bc and had surgery 3 months after me.  Anyways, I told her I was so exhausted from Christmas and that Im getting old cause it was just so hard this year.  Go figure she said to me since her surgery she feels like 75 y/o.  Thats about how I feel too.  2 years out of chemo, I am beginning to wonder if I will ever feel "better" again.  Still have all those aches and pains.  Tooks my eye glasses off and DH commented about the dark circles under my eyes.  Well shoot I have had them since diagnosis - my eye glasses just hide them.  Since I work around older people, I have noticed lately that some of them are walking faster than me!

Bren:  Where are you?  Im looking all over.  In every tent and under every bush.  Hope everything is ok.

Well - the shower is calling my name.  I hope you all have a wonderful day.

    Good morning to all...

Nicki, wow, you and your sis with bc. I know how you feel about feeling old...me too...I feel like an old lady especially when I get up after sitting for a bit.

Well, I am thankful for this week off. Today I plan on getting a haircut as it is growing like a weed...last year this time I was thankful for the little bit on my head. Gonna do a lil shopping with some gift cards I got. I have to go to my aunt's surprise 75th on Fri. night, so I would like to get her a gift as a remembrance of this bday rather than give money. Have no clue what tho...anyone have a suggestion?

ok, gonna visit the chat room for a bit. Do have a great day...will check in later.

    Liz, when is your  test?

    Cy, how'd it go yesterday?

Slonedeb, I hope to see you post here.

    Hugs and prayers,

Now, time to take down all the decorations. I have never been so glad for a holiday to be over.  Geez...could it be beause merchants were displaying their Christmas decorations since before halloween?

Now is time to work on losing all those extra pounds!  Boy, have I eaten sweets since halloween.  And, today I am going to Target but, I promise to look the other way at their 75% off holiday candy isle. Smile

    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning ladies!  I haven't been on much the past two weeks as the holiday preparations and spoiling of my two grandsons took priority over everything else in my life.  It sounds like all of you had a nice, busy, hectic holiday.....just like holidays are supposed to be.

Nicki...you keep that snow up there in the northern part of the state tonight!  I'll take the left-over rain down here!

    Candie..sorry I missed your birthday!!!

Cy..hope the tests went well yesterday.  Rest, rest, rest and let us know the results.  I'm sending good vibes and prayers your way!

Deb...you got your snow!  And just in time for the big day!!!

Well, I need to get out of here.  I'm hosting the New Year's Eve party for the golfing crew at my house this year and I have lots of planning to do so I know what to buy when I make that trek to the stores.

    Catch you later.

    Hi Everybody,

I haven't had a chance to read back, but I will soon.

Just talked to Brenda(NC) and would you believe it ... Richard and Tim are at the same Medical Center right now!! Richard's getting an injection and Tim's getting an MRI.  I told Brenda we need to trade them both in on younger models!!

I'm thinking of Liz and Cy and their scans as well.

My mom's visiting so I don't have any time ... gotta run.

    Love you all,
    Bren

PS - I'll catch up as soon I can.  About those dark circles under the eyes ... a couple of suggestions ... never take off your sunglasses and/or never leave the house!
