New Want To Play A Word Game

There are some parks here that have the same problem. There may be gates with locks on the park, but that doesn't keep out the geese!

And if the city should slack off on cleaning up after them....what a mess that would be!

This is my first time playing this - I see it's now got a bit of a story added? I might have to take a class in this!

Just jump on in, Flannelette, we'd love to have you! Don't worry about taking a class, there is no grading scale!! And yes, it seems to have morphed into random conversations or fun made-up adventures.

Flannelette, welcome! Hoping we don't SCARE you off.
Curveball, yay, great progress now that you've set a moving date. Just don't overdo!
Wahine, ewwww, with all those geese! Hoping they decide to find another place to live, and soon!0 -
Hi Flannelette, So glad you joined this group! Yes, we just have fun with random sentences that we try to weave into a story. IF you can think of a word to continue the story, great...and if not, then feel free to change the subject! And like the others said, you don't have to take a class in it, we don't even keep score! It just seems more fun this way than just thinking of a random word.....

...and if you accidentally make a word with six letters, or play from the last word on an old page instead of the most recent one, don't worry. We've all done it at one time or another, and we tease each other about those little slip-ups, but nobody really minds. You'll soon learn the ropes.

The trick is to rearrange the letters without adding in a spare or two letters. Sometimes, I'm totally amazed at the new words because I've often felt stumped but someone on here is quick to find another word.

Yes, I've been known to stare at the word with a blank look trying to figure out a new word. The stories can get rather twisted. But, we always find a way to have fun!

So, flannelette, as all the girls have said, have no fears about just jumping right in! Hope everyone is having a good day....we are having a late start, but going to head down to the vip lounge for an awesome Bloody Mary, then lunch, then try to have enough room for a yummy buffet tonight, featuring Asian delicacies! Ciao for Niao!

May seem like there's a FLARE for this game, but it's easy (if nothing comes mind, think about it while someone else comes up with a great word).
Wahine, hope you're having fun on this trip, more fun than Las Vegas! Hoping both you and DH are enjoying this one!0 -
Or even a "flair" for this game! Yes, we are having a great time Maddy, thanks for asking! Just eating too darn much....lol. BTW, flannelette, are you coming back here? We love to have new players, so come on back!

I hope we didn't frighten her away!
Are you back from your trip yet wahine? You travel so much you must have a zillion frequent-flier miles. Or are you accumulating the miles with a credit card, and your trips use them up?
0 -
Wahine, with all your trips am I too nosy to ask if you're a member of the High-Miler club? (Like the Mile High Club, couldn't think of a better way to phrase it).
0 -
This trip was by car...but we haven't been using our FF miles....better use them up before we are old and frail though! Just got home tonight, and ended up with some winnings! Yay.....
0 -
LOL Maddy.....you posted right before I did~~~!!! Now I need to think of a different word to go with "miler".... But I think anyone that belongs to the MileHigh club would keep it a secret....along with a smile on their face!

Hi girls! Well, I will just do another word since its been lonely on this thread! lol. Guess everyone has piles of work to do (me included)! Hope everyone is having a good week...

Sorry, Wahine, didn't have bco on my iPad till today (only got info about scheduled maintenance). If I got your first post, it probably would have been "mikes", but now let me see.
I could write about how my cat pries the linen closet door and sleeps on the mounds of towels. Or how my temperature will spike when I go outside. Or how my spine hurts trying to get comfortable around my revision stitches. Have done a pile of work, btw, between my brother and me, we have everything arranged for my parents to be packed, shipped, moved and settled in next week and the house up for sale shortly after. So, as my brother flies out of Las Vegas this week, I'll be heading out next week to help supervise the activities and if it gets too much, will allow my Dad to take my Mom out for a bit.

LOL, Love all the words, 2ta! I will use the last one, "flies", if thats ok! I can only imagine how hard this move is, and am glad your brother helped out too. (Well, I CAN imagine it, as I went to HI for 3 wks last summer when it was HOT, to help pack up my parents house). SO I have an idea of all the work involved. Be sure to check EVERY closet and EVERY shelf after the movers leave. Its so easy to miss something, that may have gotten pushed way back into a corner. Good luck with all of it! You prolly need a hug about now, too....(((((Maddy))))).
0 -
Wahine, that hug sure helps! Hasn't been an easy week......
Will take your advice about checking everywhere. Will be difficult for me "supervising" without helping. I'm sure PS will give me lots of restrictions tomorrow. Am even thinking of requesting "disabled" for the plane seeing that I can't move easily now (especially without luggage) and I know I'll scream if anyone even lightly touches my back.

OOPS, I forgot about your recent surgery...how could I do that?? Well maybe you can practice your "spiel" before you get to the gate agent. Would really help if you had a bulkhead seat. You can't ask for the exit row, because you would have to be able to lift that heavy door if needed. Will you be flying in this time instead of doing that long drive?
0 -
Yes, Wahine, will be flying this time. Not sure if my back could take the long drive both times. Possibility sitting that long in one place will split the stitches (hopefully have stitches out tomorrow). Besides, the drive is tough on my dad so after the van leaves, I will be driving both mom and dad to my home, they'll spend the night, and supposedly the moving van will be at the new home Saturday morning (it's only about a 45 minutes from my house). I'll plan to spend a couple days (Saturday and Sunday) there with them to show them around town, where stores are, etc and help them get settled. Have to come home Sunday night as I have an appt with MO that following Monday morning.
Edited for the following:
Oops, thought I corrected the sentence to be 5 letters, but apparently it didn't take. Glad I caught the boo-boo before someone else with a sharp eye did! Hoping we didn't loose Flannelette, this is how we make corrections

@2TA, it sounds like your parents' move is progressing smoothly. My mom talked to the movers this week but it turns out the move coordinator isn't available until the second week in August, so I think my mom will be moving that Monday or Tuesday.
The remodeling is finally underway at my house but I really had no idea how long it takes for kitchen cabinets and such things to be made and delivered. I was hoping to be living in the house by the end of June and that sure didn't happen. Now it is looking like, by the time I get in it will be nearly time to plant tulip and daffodil bulbs.

You both are doing so much to insure your parents have as stress-free a move as possible. I am so glad you are only having to drive ONE WAY, 2ta! ! With all we do for our parents, none of us should feel any guilt about anything! (Only word I could think of!). And Curve, it does seem to take much longer than we expect, but I am hoping the extra wait will be worth it! Hope you all will have a good day today. I am heading back out in this heat to work on my deck some more. Can only do so much at a time, it is so hot.

Well, at least it appears the house was properly built, not just thrown together any old which way, or shoddy and corner-cutting as is sometimes done. There was some mold behind the drywall in the bathroom, but I guess on a house that age, you have to expect to find something wrong somewhere. Now I need to get going. My sister and BIL are here and are going to help me with a few items that are too large to go in my car.

Whoever built your house must have been a good pupil when they learned carpentry and home building. Unfortunately, although our house was built by a "good builder" about 17 yrs ago, it was a "Parade Home" and had to be ready by a certain time to be shown, so we think the workers just rushed too much as we keep finding more and more wrong with it! Unbelievable things too...when we get someone over to fix something, they are always surprised at how it was done initially.

wahine, how'd you get 2 p's in that word? LOL
Have you ever had a plump plumber and had to view "plumbers butt"?
0 -
LOL I didn't even notice that Jane....OOPSIE big time!!! Sawwwwy. Better give my brain a rest before trying another word. I think I was doodling some possible words then thought the previous word was one of my doodles! (But YES, to your 2nd question too!!!)
No new word in this post, don't want to confuse anyone that might be looking to see what my word it! lol
0 -
And if that plumber's not good, he PUMPS the water? No plumber butt, please!
0 -
Just hope he doesn't slump over something and show his butt! (Its almost 4 am and couldn't sleep, so am hoping my mind is working and I don't mess up the word again!) Night Night (I hope)!
