Well DWTS is over for me after what I read today.  I watched The View since they always interviewed the dancers who were let go and they got one more dance.  Well!  Hope and MaK were not on and when I searched the internet for the reason, I pulled up info stating Hope and Mak were banned from "all" interviews, including the Jimmy Kimmel show and Good Morning America, and any others on ABC.  They claim they would have  had to "bleep" out too much.  However, Hope and Mak stated they really wanted to be on the programs to thank their viewers for their support and they had no intention of using the programs to "vent".  It also said the show was inundated with views posting how angry they were about this " banning".  IMO, if anyone needs to be banned it's Carrie and Len!   As much as I love to watch the dancing, I will no longer watch a show which can treat their dancers in such an unfair way.  I will miss Mak soooo much!

WTH?    They sensored (banned) Maks and Hope?  Oh that's not good.  I voiced my discontent on ABC's DWTS site.  I think this is the beginning of the end of this show.  This is just not right.  Thanks for letting us know Medigal.

I was wondering why Hope and Maks were not on GMA yesterday but the remaining 3 'stars'. Thanks for the update Medigal.

What I am wondering is whether they are going to allow Hope and Maks to still join in with everyone else on the finale like they have always done with others who have been eliminated.  I managed to find an article which said Mak's rep is stating "he and Hope" plan on being in the finale since he wants to do it for their fans to show appreciation for their support.   Whether DWTS will still allow them to take part in this is going to be very interesting.  I don't see how they can exclude them since it has been a regular part of the show's finale.  Even Chaz and the others are supposed to return for that and they all look forward to it.  This week will be very interesting.  What a sad situation for a show I "used" to enjoy!

I think the judges are very much to blame. They have set the stage for being rude, offensive, and insulting. That's not judging - that is just being nasty. When people get pushed like the judges have been doing to the dancers and contestants, people will fight back. That's normal. It's too bad though that no one is criticizing the judges - they are the ones who have been crossing the line more and more. If the producers are going to treat the dancers and celebrities so harshly and supporting the judges, then I will probably turn the program off permanently.

I am kind of cynical; but how much of the meaness, bickering etc. is for the sake of the publicity and creating a 'stir' thus keeping the show in the headlines and people tuned in?

I agree with all the comments above.  I find the judges have been very unprofessional.  However, the show has been on for 6 years so maybe all the recent controversy has been all about ratings?

I think the behaviour we are seeing from the judges this year is pretty much an exaggeration, sometimes taken to the extreme, of the way they have behaved all along.  If anything Len has toned down his nastiness a bit.  He does like to play with his reputation a bit though.  Sometimes when the couple has danced OK but not top notch he has pointed out their errors just as he used to do just before administering his zinger and then said something along the lines of "but overall, very good".  To me Bruno has always been somewhat obnoxious, extreme in both his raves and his rants.  This yea5r he has exaggerated his manner beyond any hint of good taste.

If this is all about ratings, would the producers be so stupid as to cause us to possibly lose the dancer we tune in to watch like Mak?  Monday and Tuesday of this coming week will tell me if I will continue to watch the show.  If Mak is not allowed to show up for that last show, I have no reason to watch any others.  Enough will be enough!

Oh, this is a tough finals.  All three are really dancing their heart out. Either one deserves to win.  Wow!

Oh, hey, I just now saw this post.  I love DWTS.  It's great entertainment:  the costumes, the hair, the music, dancing, comedy and drama.

I must say, I'm not a fan of Ricki Lake at all.  I never cared for her this whole show.  Love her partner Derek, but he's already won the mirror ball trophy three times.

JR has been great the whole season.  His partner, Karina, hasn't ever won the trophy, so if he won, I'd also be happy for her.

The big surprise is Rob Kardashian!  I can't stand anything to do with the girl Kardashians.  And yet Rob has really turned into a wonderful dancer.  His partner, Cheryl, has won twice, so she's good at what she does.  She's really trained him well.

So for me, it's between JR and Rob.  And I can't say right now who I like better!

MrsM - welcome to the DWTS group.  We love comparing notes.  I hear what you are saying.  I don't care for the Kardashian's and until now didn't even know Rob existed.  He is by far the most improved.  I like his transformation.  OMG, those lifts and turns...wow!  They are all winners in  my book!  Glad to see the season wasn't a total washout.

Nancy - I agree about the icky K family.  Specially KK.  OMG can she be any more self absorbed?  They are just everywhere so a part of me wants to yell go away!!!  Tongue out

I don't like the K Girls either, but Rob has been a very pleasant suprise. He surely is the most improved dancer this season. I thought everybody had fun dances and did really well tonight. I thought the judges scored people fairly too.

Rob did do well. I too don't care for the antics of his sisters. I don't watch any reality series involving the 'real life of the rich and famous' to me that isn't reality. Most of the 'stars' on these series are so self absorbed.

I do hope that JR wins since Karina hasn't won the trophy at all.

I like that it's anyone's mirror ball trophy!  All three finalists have talent and there's no clear front runner like on some other seasons.  The finalists are evenly matched.

Sheila - I thought she won with Mario many seasons ago but guess not.  I totally forgot about it.  She sure gave it her all last night.  Those lifts were wicked.

I was a bit disappointed, I though Ricki deserved a 10 for going all the way and doing the lifts.  OMG, it game me goose bumps watching her conquer her fears.  It reminded me of all of us on this BC journey.  We tackle the beast head on every day even though we fear it and most days just want to throw the covers over our heads.  Can you guys tell I'm a bit hormonal today?!  LOL   Laughing

I think Derek and Ricki deserved at least one 10 for that fantastic dance they did with the lifts.  However I think JR may still get the mirror ball even tho last night was not his best night.  I think Rob has done wonders with his dancing but I don't think he will get the mirror ball.  BTW, did you notice Maks and Hope were sitting in the audience in the first row looking all happy and clapping for their fellow fancers.  That gave me hope that just maybe he may return next season.  I think the producers wanted Mak on the first row to pacify those of us who were watching for him.  Tonight will tell a lot!

Medigal - I did notice Maks was all smiles sitting next to Kristie but missed Hope. I think you maybe right about the producers.   Can't wait to see tonight's show.

Maks and Hope are on tonight. I saw them in the opening sequence when all the ones voted off danced down the stage.

Would you guys believe I fell asleep and missed Ricki's elimination?!  Boohoo..she was way better than RK.  I was surprised at JR scores considering he messed up a couple times but, am happy for Karina.  Boy, you could tell she wanted that trophy badly!  I wonder if the pro's get a $ incentive for winning?   I can't remember?

Chabba - glad the power came back in time.  I know you were stressing.  Where you able to watch the entire show?

I'm glad JR won. Over the season, he not only improved a lot but he was good to start. Even though there were a few mistakes along the way, I  think he was very consistent. Rob improved a lot but I still don't think he's a great dancer. I thought Ricki would come in second but overall the results were fair. Was glad to see Maks and Hope as part of the final show.

Hooray!!  I can continue watching DWTS!!  Hope and Maks danced again and I was happy JR won.  I think Ricki deserved it most but my second pick was JR.  Looks like those producers had people reading the internet and played it cool with Hope and Maks.  Sure hope Maks returns next season!
