Divine - I heard that..it makes me wanna go hmmmm???

onvacation - that is too funny!

Well, tonight's elimination was no big surprise.  I agree Gladys was spared for next weeks Motown celebration.  I think she will be the next one to go followed by Melissa.  JMO

Gavin, the singer with the hats, was the one eliminated tonight.

    I just love that show.

So that dance off - those couldn't have really have been the bottom 2 couples?  There was no comparision in the 2.  Are they going to be doing the dance of thing every time?

Yep, Gavin got eliminated.  What a shocker...not!  It seems he knew it was his turn.  He started the dance off kneeling instead of dancing...sure sign he wasn't even trying.  I joined the DWTS live discussion on  abc.com and some are saying Jaleel has an attitude and is full of himself.  All I see is that he is a far better dancer than Gladys and Melissa.

Gavin danced as though he wanted to go home.  H wasn't even trying.

Well, now that they explained the dance-off it clears up some of my confusion and I understand the why of it.  I well remember when Sabrina Bryan got voted off one season when she was a superb dancer and could have potentially taken home the mirror ball.  I just don't know if I care for the dance-off, it's rather distracting watching a split screen while two couples dance.

Between the two bottom vote getters, Gavin was definitely the poorer dancer. I like the dance off simply because the judges, who actually know something about dancing, can basically over-rule a stupid choice made by the fans. My prediction is that Melissa will be next to go, and then Gladys (she may actually be kind of good at a Motown style of dancing).

well, I continue to vote for Maks and Melissa to keep him there, tho I know he has to go sooner or later.

I did not like the dance off....I heard Tom say they will only do it next week..so what is the point...2 weeks only???

I think they also were afraid that Roshon might be voted off, and he's a really good dancer, so they may have concoccted the dance off to keep him in the game alittle longer.

I split my votes and gave some to Roshon. He is really good and I do appreciate how hard he is trying considering he is so young. His partner is adorable too.

Did you guys hear Maria did a nude spread for Allure magaxine? He is just so over the top and Dereck is so playing along with her. He is coming accross desperate for attention. I guess he is feeling nervous with so much "hunky" competition this season. I'm not a fan this season.

I've been wondering for several seasons whether Derek is Star struck, subject to crushes or whether his behavior is part of his style of being an "encouraging coach".

I think Melissa will be eliminated, then Gladys Knight. I'm sure she is being kept on for the Motown celebration.

I have to admit, I couldn't STAND Derek his first season on the show. I thought he got the job just because he was Julianne's little brother.

But I later realized what a brilliant choreographer he is....and a lot of those irritating adolescent mannerisms (goofy faces, mugging for the cameras) have gone away as he has matured.

But I guess some guys just never outgrow the "crush" stage on pretty girls! Wink

Chabba and Blessings - did you notice how he called Maria "baby" when she was on the floor crying over hitting her chin?  He was acting just like a teenager.  Now he has to take off his shirt like Maks and the other guys this season.  Oh he is getting on my nerves this season for sure!

Shorbr - I agree about Gladys.  I think she will probably dance to "midnight train" next week.  I wonder if they will have her sing too?  It seems she is on a national tour right now. As for Melissa, well her departure is taking way tooooo long for my nerves.  She is so irritating.  It seems Maks is trying very hard to keep his temper in check.  That must be a daunting task.

Motown night is turning out to be a big disappointment!  The music doesn't match ballroom dancing...same as Rock and Roll night.  I'm not liking it at all.  GRRRRRR

This was a show I really enjoyed.  It wasn't jam-packed with excitement, but I loved the Motown tribute.  Starting with Barry Gordy, Motown founder, in the audience and thrilled to be there.

I loved Martha Reeves singing Jimmy Mack.

Katherine & Mark were perfection.  Her beehive hairdo was excellent.

Loved the colors Jaleel and Kim were wearing and their dance was soo good!

This week is the best Melissa's looked so far all season.  The style of her dress, the color and her hair were all much more age appropriate for her.  Her dance was average, but it was nice to finally see her nicely dressed.

I don't care for those multi-couples dancing at the same time routines.  But this show afterwards, "Dance Show Confidential" is so interesting.
