Just so everyone will know.  Nicki is cleverly exposing my personal information through her song.  My name is Tammy.  There... now everybody knows and its not longer a tool to be used against me.

I find these actions to be spiteful, sad and disappointing.

    Good Morning from "Snorkel"

He personally would like to answer Jasmine's question regarding the circles around his eye.

He says: "It's because I'm special"

With that said it's been said he rested peacefully last night with a full tummy of doggy biscotti biscuits and a slipped in slurped rum punch.

He was spotted on the beach early this morning running up and down the beach in search of anything that remotely looks like a frisbee.

He is relentless.  But oh so cute.

The reporter wants him for pictures with us be he can't be caught.

I think he is trying for a world's record.

Other than the wild and cuddly "Snorkel" running about, the beach is very quiet this morning.

    Just wait till tonight tho'

    After all it is Saturday!

Thanks for the outstanding turn out at last night's tournament.

Pineapple juice for everyone this morning.  My treat.

Thank you,Sahalie and everyone who keeps us entertained at the Beach. I am so annoyed at myself as I had this humongous post, again, and the site was doing maintenance and I LOST it all, again! Margaret,I never learn,do I abt putting it in the notepad first?

Anyway,I am going back in time---remember the "Back To The Future" movies that I just loved w/Michael J.Fox? Sahalie, gave the idea the other day with those awesome pics of Frankie and Annette and Jas's awesome songs each day! I do love Billy Joel and all the old ones where I can actually sing some of the words...some of them mumbled when wrong! So,here goes...

Wings, hope that you have a terrific day at your DD's graduation and this sort of triggered a memory, too. When I went back for my 30th college reunion,I took another pic at this same spot to prove to myself that I had made it! Don't know if any of you have had to do that...prove to yourself when sometimes others around you doubted or made light of your accomplishments? Excuse a middle-aged lady's ramblings, please! This is the weekend of my college reunion,too...would be 36 yrs if I were there...

So,thank you,Wings, for letting me enjoy the memories and share DD's spotlight, too. Is this the DD that went into teaching secondary educ?

Going to post and pray...this is like a dial-up after so long with higher speed internet...wow! Like the Little Engine going up the hill...I think I can,but will I still be able to remember why I was going up the hill? LOL

Iris/Spartan72...bearlysane/bearyglad to have made it through some tough places...thank you for helping me on some challenging days! I am "beary"lucky to have met all of you during this storm-tossed journey! Together, with cherished friends and angels(friends and relatives)we can sail on! Full speed ahead,mateys...

Sunset at the beach.  Its been a bitter sweet day.  Deciding to peak in and walk along the shores as the sunsets.  So much to think about and be thankful for.

So many of your posts inspired me tonight.  Memories - may those pleasant memories always stay with us.

Iris:  You post was particularly touching.  So many nice words and thoughts.  When I saw Spartan, I smiled.  Reminded me of another time, another place, another world.  It took me along time to figure out bearly sane was about bears!

Wings:  Your not at the beach tonight, but you are having a one in a life time event.  Seeing your daughter graduate.  Im so happy for both of you.

Margo:  Im so happy about your son.  Such good news.  The ballerina slipped will be perfect.

Neese:  This seems to be the years of 1st. communions.  There were 2 here today also.  Have any of your flowers bloomed yet?

Susan:  Actually snowballs at the beach would be funny.  You could bring them in all formed in coolers and have a grand time.  And get cooled off at the same time.  Although I would like my snowballs flavored like a snowcone.

I said it was a bitter sweet day because I went to a Kentucky Derby party. Had a great time.  Eight Belles - the only female in the race, ran her heart out.  She beat all those studs except for the winner.  And then she broke down after the race was over.  So  Im gonna walk along the shore while the sun is setting and think about what that means to me.

You are all so right.  The beach is a wonderful place.

Somehow this song seems appropriate for walking along the shores and saying good night to a wonderful beach day.

edited the sunglasses cuz they were way too big.Cool

    Margaret,

    Congratulation's on your boys accomplishments.

You must be out celebrating tonight.

Susan, hey hope you are having a really nice weekend.

Jasmine, thank you for all the wonderful songs you give us.

No one gives us songs like you do.

Faith, You must be cuddling those baby beach shells with their soft fuzzy heads.

Foots, I hope some sun shine comes your way and soon.

Wings,  Fantastic light on the beach.  Shining bright.

Iris, the dearest person and so huggable.

Thank you for your amazing posts to each of us.

    Beautiful works of care.

While at our farm today watering the six new redwoods we planted last weekend, one of our dogs walks through the already established redwood grove on our property and he's carry a small lumpy thing in his mouth.

I look closer and it's wiggly and it's a mole.

I am pretty brave but when it comes to rodents and when it's in my dogs mouth, I kind of get a little squeamish.

He put it down and I looked at it.

It had gone to the great mole hill in the sky but was actually very interesting to look at.

    At a distance of course.

Their feet or paws what ever they are .....are like pads with finger nails.

Our dogs love hunting varmints and critters on the farm.

I just don't want to witness it.

This is exactly what it looked like.

How abt we have a Beach Buddies meeting right here? Did someone say my name: Chunky Monkey, that is so up my alley or my beach path!

Hey to you,Sahalie! That is sure one unique creature! I once came so close to an opossum's teeth! She was hatching her little ones in my warm storage area where my Hvac is! I screamed so loudly as those little eyes squinted-up at me! Man,did I clean-out that storage bldg and never have let it get crowded, again. This spring, one of my neighbors said to guess who had recently visited in her storage bldg?

Sahalie, love all your posts and what great fun we have here! I apologize for not saving that long post last night as it was to every person and did I listen to Margaret's great advice? Nope...but,I will from now on...

Jas...how did your day go? Did you get lots of cleaning and sorting done today? I am proud of myself for getting some business papers sorted and filed and made a new notebk. That took hours and shredded tons of old junk. What abt your friends-did they go to the lake today or was the weathr not good? I love your songs of the day and thanks for them and all the thoughts that you place as it is surely appreciated! Now,with my new wireless card,I can hear them in smallville!!! Mighty Casey at the bat...I am one happy Beachgoer!

Wings..hope that your daughter's graduation was a great day! Thanks for sharing that with us and also, for allowing me to reminisce and go back in time! My univ was called the Spartans and I can appreciate that as life has added some battles that took monumental courage and stamina. This I learned at that univ along w/the curricular areas as I am sure the students of today are taught. Have a wonderful time on Mon! I am so pleased that you liked the Starbucks and thanks for all you did...make sure to take lots of pics to share with all of us!

Neesie...loved your emails and thanks for all you do! You are so like me(except less crazy)and I love the humor.Hope that your wkend is going well and that story abt the repairman cracked me up! At least, the neighbors are watching out for strangers! LOL I may have said this already,as I keep losing posts and losing brain cells,as well! LOL Have a wonderful time on Monday and enjoy the neat outing! Waiting for your road trip as we would have a beach blast...bring all the MI buddies and CA buddies and everyone else! Can you see us on CNN...that would make the Beach Parties of old days seem like ancient history, wouldn't it?

Faith...those certainly are some beautiful grandchildren!I think that their little outfits are so neat! Now,did you do the linings in those beautiful cribs? I know you mentioned abt making was it bumper pads(pls excuse someone with zero baby experience and lingo) awhile back? I rememb you sewing and decorating the beautiful room. Glad that Sarah is feeling much improved and glad abt the edema and her elevated bld pressure. Great news abt your other DD and her "engagement" at the neat place-can't rememb the name was similar to Abercrombie? I can't scroll-back as I will lose this,I am afraid. All the best on all your speaking engagements and the visit with the neat friends in MI Monday! Have a Beach Blast!

Margo...congrats to Ryan! That is so awesome and must hv made your Sat so spectacular! I know he was thrilled and rightly so. That is such an occupation always in demand everywhere. My neighborhood has a truck out nearly every day as it is over 30 yrs old and seems to hv many tree roots everywhere-they should not be! What did you do for fun on Sat? Hope that you had a good day and the weather sounds like it was cooperative and getting sunny, again. Enjoy your Sun! I am trying to do better w/saving the posts and not beating up the computer for eating the cyberbytes! LOL

footprintsangel/Debbie...always glad to see you and hope that your wkend is going well! Take care and come by often as this is an awesome group of caring and friendly;supportive Beach Buddies!

Nicki...yes,I have been a bear collector over 30 years and have my original bear that will be 58 this upcoming Christmas. His name is Tim as I named him for the bear in Dick,Jane and Sally series that many of us read in the '50s at school. Spartan is a favorite name, too, and one that signified strength and courage in dealing with bc and adversities that I had encountered.I have always been proud to have that name attached to mine and display the pictures proudly as it was/is a meaningful time.Thank you for kindly recognizing my hobby;also,I collect angels like some other special friends here.

I know that I have omitted some really special people and am sorry! It is time to take a Sunday morning stroll on the shore. I am going to post this lovely magnolia tree in my parents' backyard. It has grown for almost 40 yrs and is typical of Southern Steel Magnolias that only grow like this in certain parts of our region! I just adore the strength and magnificent blossoms on that tree. The magnolia blossoms are so fragile yet the fragrance is like non other and cannot be replicated;nor can the tree.

Best to all my Beach Buddy Beachcombers...need a light jacket is all as it is in the '80s now and no humidity. This is certainly my fave time-of-yr here.

    See you later on,Buds...

Im planning for a lovely day at the beach.  Have marked my spot and plan on sitting in the sun all day and just relaxing.  Need to recover from yesterdays party.

That mole is pretty ugly.  Glad your dog didnt get hurt.  We had a skunk in our yard day before yesterday.  Decided to spray my dog.  So today will be his second day of a bath in tomato juice.

Iris:  Thanks for sharing your bear story.  I dont think I have anything that is 58 years old except for myself!

Well this beach bum is tired.  Im gonna spread out my blanket and fall asleep to the sound of the morning waves hitting the shores.

Please send the beach patrol with the following: diapers, wipes, clean onsies, and a sleeping potient for weeee ones.

I think that all the medication that they had to be 'subjected' to for DD's surgery is now wearing out of their system. Of course it's a very good thing, but in their au natural state they are quite a bit more like babies and a whole lot less like dolls.

The MIL 'helped' for a grand total of 73 minutes the entirity of last week -- when she breezed thru after work once to hold precious cargo (never mind that there's a dishwasher here, laundry, floors that need a tad bit of attention, empty pantry, two dirty dogs etc. etc. etc.) We roll our eyes at each other and pretend she's escaped from the assylum so that we don't both go NUTS.

MI friends. I'm so excited!! Got my laundry done yesterday so I can wear clean clothes in your fair state. Strangest thing tho.... I still don't actually know where I'm going!! I've emailed the gal twice & left a message on her work office -- to please resend the itinery as it's locked in my PC at my house (where I haven't been in these last several months.) I have her cell phone, so I'll call her later today. The only thing I know for sure is that I'll be at Ann Arbor Noodles as close to noon as possible.

nEEsie: bring a beach pail, Winger: bring some beach towels -- we'll pose a picture for our beach buddies ....... the rest of you beach bums are welcome to surprise us. Wouldn't that be fun?

Margo: it's a thrill to get the kids "launched" into their own lives.... congrats on all the guidance it requires to see another milestone reached. Where was he last Fri when our toilet overflowed and ran all of that water into the basement? Sure could have used him. Does he make housecalls to Ohio?

Iris: It must be about time for me to have some big reunions too. I finished college in '78, but graduated with my class in '79. You made me realize that our 30th is just around the corner!! How is that possible? Seems like we were all there on the hill yesterday. Time does march on with or without our awareness.

Jasmine: After you get all of your particulars re-settled & organized I'd like to hire you to come straighten out my world. My little system has collapsed with my recent growth spurts & I'm clueless as to how to proceed..... and you can always 'spin' me a tune as we visit.

Wings: will you still be smiling ear-to-ear when I see you? Will you already have photos developed for us to oooooooh & ahhhhhhh? Knowing you, you'll already have them scrapbooked into a designer look -- making Martha Stewart proud. I'll be the one with the new baby pics thrown in with my clean underwear.

FootPrints: hope that your weekend has been filled with good humor.

Nikki: my ankle is still VERY tender, but by the grace of heaven I am still mobil and able to drive, too. Thanks for asking. Hope yours continues to make gentle progress.

Sahalie: the frisbee tournament was just plain glorious! How did you get all of those beach merchants to donate so many memorable prizes? All that running made me feel like a teen-ager again. Just what the doctor ordered. I'm signed up for your next mystery adventure, even before you start dropping the clues.

Angel: you are always in my heart..... I will never look at "thongs" in quite the same way. What a silly giggle to start my day! Take care of your wonder-girls and give them a squeeze from me.

Everyone say prayers for DD Sarah for my absence. I have a string of people lined up to keep her company (and hopefully HELP) and my DH will be returning tonight and will offer everything he can. His presence will be a blessing, but just not quite the same as me running the show.

My parents and sister's family are all coming in at the end of the week. This will be a bit like watching the three ring circus on too much caffiene. They are all so eager to nuzzle those sweet heads....

My parents are flying in from FL, sis driving from GA and sis-in-law from ancient days are coming from Denver. Everybody wants to be here for mother's day -- when we (DH & I) will dash over to Wash DC for the youngest DD's recital. Not sure that this making sense..... but this next week is gonna be a real 'corker.' Hopefully you won't meet any of us on CNN. This many relatives under two roofs will be a guarentee for mahem. What will we all eat? Ye gads.... add that to the list that the Beach Patrol needs to bring.

Very possibly will be m.i.a. for big chunks of time. I hear MI is just now getting computers and they are powered by rodents.... oops, that was Sahalie that has cute rodents. It's all a muddle now.

Will be praying for each of you the old-fashioned way, straight to heaven, without the cyber connections.

Faith -- paper clutter is one big issue that I've been trying to tackle as well.  I've just finished purging my house of useless things that no longer work.  They were just taking up storage space.

The amount of paper that comes into our homes each day and week is truly astounding and most of it is junk mail that you can't just toss away because now they come pre-filled.  Its aggravating for sure.

I'm doing the 'flylady' method (www.flylady.net).  She recommends just doing 15 minutes each day instead of trying to do it all at one time and getting overwhelmed.  It doesn't sound like much but it is surprising what you can accomplish in just 15 minutes each day.  I set the timer on my stove for 15 and when the bell goes off, I stop.  There is no guilt on I should have done more.  I'm slowly finding the top of my dining room table which is where all the mail usually gets tossed to be looked at later.

    Have fun on your trip.

Iris and Sahalie -- now you've gone and done it.  I  saw your B & J pics and instantly put  on 10 lbs.  Thanks alot!  ROFL!  Iris -- that wireless card sounds like a cool gadget that I would love to have.  Is this a blackberry that you use?  I thought I was upgrading just by getting a laptop  instead of one of those clunky towers.

Here's pictures of my team last night after the tournament bonfire.

Giving the little subs a good-night kiss.

The beginnings of Sarah looking like Sarah again. Notice that she was able to put on her new ring last night for the first time. Scott gave that to her right before they were born. Awwwwwwwww.

Jas: this is actually true. I can get poison ivy by someone talking about it -- in the same way that B & J's give you unwanted pounds at the mere cyber suggestion. I seriously have had cases of p.i. after thinking of previous erruptions. The body is a unique character.

Good morning beautiful inside and out beach members.

Arranged for today on the beach.

    Plenty of sunshine.

    Waves waving.

Occasional glimpses of our "beach patrol".Tongue out

    Niceness extraordinaries.

Did I mention gentle waves of ocean luster tickling our toes as we bask on the white sands under the breezes of the statuesque palm trees up the beach from Jasmine's surf shop and Neesie's beach bungalow.

    Yep.  All of the above.

Hey who ate the last spoonful of the Chunky Monkey ice cream?

    Iris? Was that you?

Wings, what a great weekend filled with celebration you must be having.  Congrats big time!

Marissa, So nice to see you post.

Mucho anticipation for the next bambino to be born.

Faith.  I can almost smell the sweetness of those baby beach babes.

Sarah looks so good.  Time is what she needs.

Emotional and physical stress from birth and twin birth especially plus a c-section is a big, huge, gigantic deal.

She is on the mend and looks so happy holding her baby beach babes.

    Wonder boy is equally precious.

Foots, Where are you beach girl? Carefree day is the word.

Margaret, Is our weather gorgeous today or what.

I heard there is a big whooptie celebration in San Mateo today maybe at the fairgrounds or some place but it's in SM.

You should check it out.  Fun, frolic and Food.

    All happy things we need.

Angel, We who have been robbed of your gentle ways.

The void is a gigantic.  Dear Angel.

Faith said it best about missing YOU.

Okay, about the supplies Faith has requested.

I put the idea to the beach patrol and you should have seen their faces.

They will command a dance on the beach this evening with tiki torches and gentle drum and guitar music to make said supplies magically appear.

    They will do their best.

Buckets and shovels of Ben and Jerry's to be served after the dance.

See you on the flip side!

    ~ Sahalie

Just a quick pop in.  Enjoying a glorious day soaking up the sun.  The beach is beautiful, quiet, and serene.

Faith:  Foot is getting better.  Its more a nuisance than anything else.  At least I have a reason to go shopping, I need new gym shoes.  Hoping your ankle is better soon.  Your grandchildren are beautiful.  You have capture some wonderful pictures of the twins with their brother.  It touches my heart.

Marissa:  I can just see your face smiling when you see those baby pictures.  Its good to see you.  I too am a beach lover.  Have always been.

Madison:  I made a special summer drink for you.  I know you will like it because I have been told you southern Maggies are just filled with sweetness.
