Everyone grab a luau shower cupcake and enjoy.
Lunch was a fun time - wish you could of joined us. We enjoyed surprising Faith.
Nessie was interviewing potential cabana boys for the beach. None of the candidates would remove their shirts for the interview. LOL
I will be back on the beach tomorrow to give everyone a personal greeting.

Faith, awesome pictures. And look at all those gifts.
Neesie, Wings and Faith - you ladies look awesome.
Nicki, I am a proud mama. He was disappointed because he called everyone on the list and none of them are hiring. He was discouraged but said that he will have to find another way to get in. He said his test is good for two years so we shall see.
Amy, I wish I could make it all better for you. You have been through a lot and if anyone deserves a break, it's you.
Susan, I love the bubble girl.
Iris, we had a great time yesterday. How grateful I am that 3-1/2 years ago I didn't know if I would be here and I got to spend all afternoon doing nothing but relaxing with friends and family and just listening to good music. These are the things that matter to me.
Wings, I can imagine how emotional graduation day was. Beautiful daughter.

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
Wings: Your daughter is beautiful.
Faith: I dont look at individuals. I know that God guided me the day I found bco. It changed my life and gave me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. This site provides so much love and support and Im thankful.
Margo: Tell your son not to be too disappointed. Timing is everything and I know there is a wonderful job out there waiting for him.
Iris: Moonriver. Great song. Now Im gonna be singing it all day long. I too collect Angels - for my sister Angelica who passed away at the age of 46 from ovarian cancer. I have my little guardian angels all over the house to remind me how much I loved her and miss her.

Beach babes in Paradise:
Wings. Job well done and thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures of a time to remember.
It's so much fun to see each of you.
Margaret, Good luck to your boy.
It will happen.
Iris, Hi and many hugs.
When I logged on just now I forgot to go to the last page and began reading a post from our Angel.
I got so excited thinking she was back with us.
Then I remembered she was sabotaged by one who recently began to post here on our beach.
I wish my friends, our original friends here all the best in health and happiness.
Loving hugs to

Afternoon beach buddies.
Sahalie-grabbing my surf board and my bubble house and heading surfing with you. The salt water should do my body good you would think. Thanks for thinking of me and don't you go anywhere cause lots would miss you.
Wings-nice picture of you. You are exactly what I pictured and that doesnt happen often with me.
Iris-hope things are going well with the parentals and you are getting them everywhere they need to be.
nessie-glad you enjoy the emails. I miss not seeing you daily. Your post are always a joy to read.
Jazz-our beach dj friend. How are things with you? How close were you to the tornados that tore apart the little Arkansas town?
Faith-I cant say enough about those cute babies. It would be so hard being away from them. Glad to hear your career is taking off.
margo-glad your son isnt giving up. Maybe he has found out what he wants to do when he grows up.
footprints-nice to see a post from you.
Well I know I am leaving out many no doubt but hope everyone has a great day. The weather is nice here in Alabama.
The antibiotics seem to still be working but they warned me that they will work for a while but the MRSA is so resilient that they can stop and we will have to make a quick change. So far so good. Makes total sense as to why I have felt like crap for a while now cause this has been building in my body. They now think one of the bad places that I had on my first shingle outbreak in Feb. was MRSA. Greattttttttttttttttt!

Hi Ladies!
Guess it's time to roll up our towels and head in for the day! Hoping you all had a good day................Every hour that I worked got better as it brought me an hour closer to being done!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wings is so right........I was oogaling(?) prospects for Cabana Boy during lunch yesterday!! A quick scan around the restaurant and we knew there was no one there that met our qualifications........................except maybe the last one that came in......(remember the 2, wings?).
Amy: I'm glad to hear the anti's are helping and hope they can do their job before they quit working. Thinking of you...............How's Tucker? Haven't heard about him in awhile!
Iris: I believe you are still on the small screen........can't look back and see your wonderful post without loosing this one! Hope you managed all of the appts. your folks had set up and that you didn't lose any'more' of your mind getting them there!! You are very right...............I do think we are quite a bit alike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh Dang.............office is on the phone.........
Hugs,
Neesie
Faith........Hope your concert went well..........sure wish me and the little miss could have made it.............just wouldn't work time wise.

Amy, SO sorry you are having to deal with the MRSA infection on top of everything else. That just sucks beans! Big hugs to you girlfriend (((((((((((((((AMY))))))))))))))

Sahalie - I agree w/ Amy - don't you go anywhere. Who's going to treat the Beach Buddies to Chunky Monkey ice cream or plan all our fun adventures. We need you here.
Jaz - Where are you? Do we need to send out the Beach Patrol. I know people from the Coast Guard...LOL
Iris - Our Spartan Teddy Bear - How is your week going?
Margo - Congrats on your DS new job. Hoping my DD who just graduated can find a summer job. She has a job interview at a Day Camp....fingers crossed. I had trouble finding beach theme picture frames for Faith but I did find a cute children's frame and another one for Grandparents.
Amy - My FIL developed MRSA while he was in a nursing home. We had to don gowns, mask, gloves during visits. He was 74 at the time and overcame it. We were careful around him and it never carried over to us. Isn't it fun to visualize a person on the boards just from reading their posts? I am not a fan of posting my picture but since it was w/ the Beach Girls and MI gals I'm ok w/ it.
Footprints - Any progress w/ your insurance co?
Candie - How are you doing?
Nessie - Have you found us any new cabana boys?
Faith - Are you having baby withdrawal yet? Hope your presentation went well.
Beach Buddies - Have to share my baby poll prize. I have my very own picture of the twins - how sweet is that? PLUS an assortment of sweet pea scent lotions, gels, soaps. I will be the sweet smelling one at the beach tomorrow.
hugs

Hi girls, just popping in between commercials on American Idol. Tucking you all in and Nicki will wake you up.
Sahalie, I keep telling myself he will find something.
Amy glad the antibiotics are working but MRSA would suck. Hugs to you.
Neesie, the nearest Walmart is 35 miles from me but I'm glad to hear they are offering tamox for $4.
Winggirl, hope DD finds a job. The picture frames were cute.

Hi to everyone!
Tonight,I am wiped-out as I walked much farther along the shoreline yesterday and today. Great weather...love the spring and thought of all of you and just imagined us chatting and talking abt our day.
Wings...Wow,Baby Wings(Lacie) is gorgeous! I must admit that I got teary-eyed when I read abt her on the bus steps and at graduation ceremony. I cried when the children(esp the little ones)would wave and call good-bye and cried the last day of my retirement when the last school bus rolled-out of the parking lot! After thirty-one yrs,it was like part of me was saying good-bye. Now,they're good memories...enough! Thanks for asking and the days are good...three more and I can go see my "real"house! Yippee! Congrats on the gifts...that sounds awesome and the pics will always be treasures along with the other neat items.
nEEsie...I am still chomping on the apples and would love to see real MI orchards...some day??? That was too cool abt the "Cabana" boy and great that you and the other were on the lookout! Too funny! The pics of all of you are so nice and thanks, again, for sharing them. I know faith had a great time and what a surprised look she must have had!
faith...hope that your trip is going well and all the speaking engagements are fun. I bet that you are having a great time and all the grands are missing you...know the "Wonder Boy" is as well as his mom and your dh. I loved all those neat gifts, the Luau cupcakes, just so cool! When is it that you return home? I am thinking that it is Thursday or Friday?
Sahalie...like Amy and Wings said, pls stay! I do not know what I will do for "cyberspace playspace????" I love the pics and all the neat things that you share. If you feel a break is in order, please do return. Thanks for all the kind things that you have said and all the many pleasurable pics. You have brightened many days when I was down and came to this site...so big thanks! It will not be the same without you...hoping that you will.
Jas...missing you and hoping you and the wonderful songs return. As I said above,to Sahalie,it is not the same without you and I thank you for all the many, many neat songs and sharing the right video. It is like you knew exact what we needed...and there it was! Thinking abt you/missing you!
Amy...Wow,I hate more infection for you and more pain meds. However,I am so glad that you have seen improvements since the wknd. With you on staying away from the hospitals as I know that is when Mother got sicker. It is a germbed(for those of you in med field...JMO)and scary,at least in the local hospital here. I am glad that you have some meds to get the germs booted-out! Enough...more than time for them to go! Thanks for asking abt the parentals...two more appts this wk and two more next wk. Then,we are done for May...maybe. Going Ok this time as they are spread-out over three wks time span. Hi to Sandy and Tuck!
footprintsangel/Debbie...great to see you and thanks for the kind things that you said abt this thread! There are some super people here and supportive friends. That is what makes a great thread here at bco...real friends who are supportive and caring. Just as angel said abt this thread and she was so right! Thank you, angel, you chose a great theme here. Debbie, hope that your week goes well and that the med/insurance/tests have been sorted as well as the computer glitch-not sure what exactly it was-maybe abt the relay race?
Marsha...hi to you, friend! Always great to see you and I know Amy was happy to see you. That was so you to think of others;enjoy the trip! You are so awesome and I am proud to have "met"you,Marsha! Have fun!!!
Margaret...hi to you! Yes,I know what you mean abt making the imp things a priority and not worrying abt smaller things. That is what I try to rememb as life is so short and going by so quickly. I know I try to rememb abt this not being a dress rehearsal, but the real thing. Do you rememb wishing so many days would hurry until a wkend,a birthday or a holiday? Now,I just try to slow down and savor the moments a little better as it goes fast enough!
Have a great Wed! Hello to the beautiful grands as they were visiting last night,I think? Hope that you have a great Wed!
Nicki...collecting angels is a great way for me to remember special people and events, too. Some of mine are angelbears so that is doubly special.
Hope that I have not skipped anyone! Thank you for sharing the beach time here and the walks...catch you on Wednesday at the beach,buddies...take care!
Iris/bearlysane/Spartan'72/bearytired...heading for shore and bed! Good night to all cherished and loved angels, bears, friends and family...

Hi Everyone, I got a washer and dryer from a friend! Used but works. Now I dont have to go to the laundry mat where there are alot of people sick. I am so happy. Now if I only could have the same luck with insurances, That would be wonderful. Hugs to all, You are very specail. Hang in there. Oh yea I am now helping run a lymphedema line with a friend, I love helping other, Then I seem to not hurt as much. I had to tell somebody! Hugs, Debbie

Good morning beach loverlies.
Foots, that's flippin fantastic you now have your own washer and dryer.
I am so happy for you and know what an inconvenience it is to trudge to a laundromat.
I fought insurance also and just want to reassure you to keep on fighting them, document everything, when sending out letters also send the letter to the top brass, don't take "no" for an answer and be relentless.
I considered it a full time job when I was dealing with it all and that got me through it.
I also got my doctors on board, my employer and our local newspaper.
It sounds like a lot but my family doctor was the great help.
Insurance companies have to listen to our family doctors and for the most part cannot deny what they request for us.
I hope a little of this helps in your struggle with the insurance.
I call them the necessary evil.
You are so very special and now to hear about you and your friend helping others with lymphedema is outstanding.
Jasmine, I miss you, we all do. Hopefully it will blow away like dandelion dust and our beach will be weed free.
Margaret, Your son has accomplished half the battle and is now on to what I would look at as being out in the real world searching for that wonderful first amazing job he has worked hard to find.
He will not be disappointed and your smiles will light up the beach.
Speaking of "light" ...
Hi to Wings in your frantastic light house.
Beacon of lighting the way and security for all of us.
Iris, sweet Iris, the bears are always so adorable.
Love to all.
Now I must find my flip flops.
Oh there they are.

Amy, calling Amy!
Grab your sailboard, your bubble house and let's hit the surf.
The salt water will be most excellent for all of us.
Our Beach Patrol arranged iced tea and massages afterwards under the Papya tree by the surf hut.
Come on Ames, ready, set, go.

Hey Amy -I just read about the MSRA...that SUCKS!! I am glad the meds seem to be working. Keep a close eye on the symptoms because that bug has a nasty way of morphing and becoming resistant to drugs. You may have to switch antibiotics to stay ahead of it, so don't ignore even a tiny symptom getting worse....I worry ya know
There are so many threads that I don't do a good job keeping up with everyone these days. I DO want to see more baby photos though
Hugs to everyone

Well Sahalie, if I only looked like that I would be all set!
Deb-thanks for the worry. I'm doing enough of that by myself here lately so you just rest and think about yourself. Glad to see you stopping by. They did call yesterday and said from the culture they took it has stopped responding to the antibiotic so they wanted to change what I am on. Glad they are staying on top of it. The fun never stops, does it? Just so you know, we had a lady from Alaska call yesterday about shipping 2 baby goats to her. It was rather strange having to explain to her that the cutoff will be soon because of the heat and she was trying to make sure it was warm enough to ship them there. We shall see. I will have to get some cute pictures and post them.

Amy-
Glad your docs are on top of it...MSRA is spooky stuff. A lady who lives right down the road from us just spent bookoo bucks on a new billy goat last year. She had waited 3 years to get one from this blood line. It was a big goat, 250 pounds...and wouldn't you know it, thatis the one the d@mn bear decided to kill and eat! She was really REALLY mad. At least she has a batch of his babies being born, but it really bummed her out. Her lamas alarmed and told her the bear was ther, but by the time the fugured out where it was it was too late. What wsa the town y our goats are maybe going to? It would be funny if it is someone I know
OK....I need to get some work done
Hugs

Not sure of the town Deb but I just emailed her and asked so we shall see.
Thats so sad about the Billy goat. I read that on your blog also. At least she isnt getting babies from him but geesh she wanted the dad to build up her stock no doubt.

Hey Deb..........good to see you stopping by! That mean ole bear.......that would scare the bejeebies out of me the way you have bears walking around. Hope you're feeling okay.......think about you all the time!
Amy............That MRSA sounds like some nasty stuff...........I'm glad they discovered that the Anti was no longer doing it's thang and are putting you on something else.
That's pretty neat............you might be sending a couple of goats to Deb's land!!!!!!!!! Seems like that would be pretty pricey to buy goats in MI and have them shipped!
Iris.................Smiling just reading your post! You always make them sooo interesting! Come on over............I'll take you to all the Orchards you want! Of course, we have to wait for them to open for the season!
Yes, I'm searching for some Cabana Boys for us...................it's a tough lot out there.................with Wings and me both on the lookout we're bound to find someone who meets our Criteria!
I cooked tonight..................What's up with that??!! Actually it was pretty good................a low cal (or good for you) (or something like that) Chicken and broccoli Caserole made with egg noodles and a sauce!!
Good thing I didn't think to cut the recipe in half....................now DH can eat it the rest of the week................don't want the man to expect me to cook to often!
Drove my usual 35 miles one way to get my hair cut today...........gas was $3.69 on my way in and the same stations on the way back were $3.89!!!!
Not good!
Okay.........I'm not bubbling over with news today..............so wishing you all a good night!
Neesie

Getting a late start so this will be short since American Idol is on.
Debbie, glad you no longer have to go to the laundromat.
Sahalie, thanks for your words of encouragement for Ryan.
DebC, good to see you.
Amy, hugs to you.
Neesie, that recipe sounds good - I want it. I made a turkey chili tonight but didn't really care for it.

Beach Bunnies. I'm "home" safe-and-sound" to my futon and babbees.
One more look at the shower as it continues. WonderBoy opening his goodies, earlier this morning:
I'm working with him to be a product model. What do you think?
wonder boy will drive the cross country 'love mobil' and pick you all up....

Here's the "last" gift that Sarah opened upon my arrival back:
I think it's safe to say that she was OVERWHELMED by the generosity of your spirit here at our beach. Her tears mixed with mine as we hugged on your behalf. I think I'm more amazed today, seeing the entire "collection" all in one place.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I will have to figure out a moment to 'read back' but my parents are due to arrive (from FL) in the next couple hours. My sister & her family come tomorrow. Then DH & I will take off for DC and DD2's recital. omggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggoodness

Yes, Iris, I guess you were part of the shower also, even if you don't live in Michigan. Great idea to all of the beachies who participated. I never get tired of looking at your baby pictures Faith. Either you are a phenominal picture taker or you have exceptionally beautiful grandchildren.
Amy, I know that is just the meaness coming out of you and they told you it was a staph infection so they wouldn't make you feel bad. LOL I'm sure it's no fun and I hope it clears up very quickly. The next antibiotic will be THE one. How do you ship goats. I bet they don't like it very much.
Deb, it's good to see you around. I hope you are doing well.
I don't know who Mario is, but I really like his house.
Margo, Turkey chilli gets extra points for being nutricious....hmmm...spelled that incorrectly. Where's the spelling police???
Wings, your daughter is beautiful.
Footsprintsangel, good luck with your insurance battles. Oh I dearly hope that is something that gets fixed. Being sick is hard enough. It's already a full time job. And then dealing with the insurance. Too much!
Neesie, you can't cook!! Who ate this dish you created. Watch out. You may end up in jail again. LOL
hugs to the beach girls.

LOL Susan..........I actually ate it again tonight! I didn't eat much all day and know I'm trying to tell myself that is why I don't feel to well! Good ole paranoia sets in and I think it's my heart..............if I wake up tomorrow then I'll know it was my head and not my heart!!
Margo...........here comes the recipe.........bare with me..it's kinda long to type out.
Chicken Broccoli Bake
Prep 25 min. bake 35 min. yield 6 servings
4 Cups uncooked egg noodles
1 med. onion, chopped
4 teaspoons butter
5 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 can (14 1/2 oz) reduced sodium chicken broth
1 cup fat-free milk
3 cups cubed cooked chicken breast
3 cups (I used two boxes) chopped broccoli thawed and drained
1 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large nonstick saucepan over medium heat, cook onion in butter until tender. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until blended. Gradually stir in broth and milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened.
2. Remove from heat. Drain noodles; place in a 2 qt. (I used 3 quart and it filled it) baking dish coated with cooking spray. Stir in 1 cup sauce. Layer with chicken, broccoli and remaining sauce.
3. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 - 10 minutes longer or until heated through and cheese is melted.
1 cup = 354 calories
Sounds like alot of time........but if your chicken is cooked it really goes together pretty fast. I keep the frozen skinless chicken breasts on hand, so I just boiled them up and then chopped them up.
I have to leave here at the "butt crack" of dawn tomorrow. M.O.M........has her hair done at 9a..........and my step-sister who lives alot closer has been taking her, but is out of town...............................M.O.M.....got mad at me yesterday when I told her she couldn't drive anymore! Something like.....DON'T TELL ME THAT.................I thought she was joking at first and I came back with...........I just did.............oops..........guess the joke was on me!!!!!!!!!!!
Today I told her I'd be there (even though I'll have to leave here by 7:30a) and she said she 'thought' she could drive. I just kinda said..........Mom, you can hardly walk let alone drive..............the answer??????? I CAN WALK IT'S THE STAGGERING THAT BOTHERS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So..............off I go!!
So, Susan......I may not be in jail tomorrow..........but definitely feel like I'm on Parole!!
Hugs,
Neesie

Hi girls,
Susan, there are even more points coming my way - didn't eat much of the turkey chili - didn't like it - it was more like soup - I thought about draining it and making something like a tamale pie. I need the spelling police but not because I can't spell but rather this stupid keyboard on my laptop...
Neesie, I'll have to try that recipe. I always buy an extra chicken from Costco and shred it so I have it for recipes.
Survivor is on so I should go watch it. Night all.

Hi and a Happy Early Friday!
Big cheer...weekend is finally, here! I hope that everyone has a great one!
I was MIA in mind and body, not in beach spirit! Sorry, been helping here with appts and had a remnant of last night's sinus/allergy headache today. Feeling much improved as that surfing and sailboarding did the trick,Sahalie! Love those beautiful pics! Those flip-flops are "doggone"neat!
Thanks for the smiles and all the lovely things that you write! It is so appreciated! Between resting my headache,I would come and read this thread. Have a great Friday and wonderful weekend! What kind of activities being planned for tomorrow...I can't wait to see the itinerary! I thought that I looked pretty snazzy in my dance outfit...I had my feet off the ground that time, didn't I? Neat photos...
Margaret...hi to you and who is in the lead for Survivor survival? Hope all the relatives and in-laws have fun with the twins,Sarah and WonderBoy this wkend.
Neesie...Wow! That is one great daughter to get up so early and help your mom. I think you are awesome and not just saying that to win a free tube iof Ultra-Brite either! Ha! Kidding...that gritty stuff was something else;although, all the models had beautiful teeth(prob all was a mirage). I am teasing...how abt Ipana and Pepsodent? There were toothpastes besides Crest back then, too. Have a good visit...and a super weekend!Your recipe sounds delicious and I keep chix and cheese as staples, abt all I have as I am the world's worst cook--superb microwaver!!! I think I could manage your recipe and maybe not burn it or mutilate it! One can only hope...LOL
