    Morning girls,

Iris, I don't really watch Survivor - it's background noise for me - hubby watches it so I play on my laptop and keep him company.  Until he injured his legs, hubby would have been a great contender for Survivor - he's pretty resourceful and well liked.   Yup, I'm spending my mother's day morning watching my GS play baseball and then we'll take mom to dinner that evening.

Faith, rain for you today?  The weatherman said we should wear layers today - will start out cloudy and we'll be peeling layers until the afternoon, so I guess it's a gradual warming.

Time to shower so everyone have a good day.

    Good Friday morning all.

I got up with the birds this morning.  Tweet tweet.

    Why?

I have no clue other than I must have slept enough for once.

Margaret, I saw on the early bay area news that we will have temps in the 90's beginning Wed.

    Up this way anyway.

    Iris, I loved your post.

Faith,  Hands and arms filled with babies is such a blessing.

Was the Oboe insured?  They must be expensive.

Anyone watch "Survivor" last night besides me?

I could not believe Erik gave Natalie his immunity necklace.

    He was eaten alive.

This should be interesting to see the finale as the jury picks the winner from the final three.

I also watch "Lost" each week and am as confused as usual.

The cabin scene and who is in it.  Strange.

I don't try to figure it out.

I'll probably need a nap on the beach today around late afternoon after the ridiculous time I got up this morning.

I wish each of you a great day, a feel good day and sunshine where it is raining.

    XOXOXOXO

Back from my early morning jaunt into take Mom to the hairdressers!

Margo:  Thought about you and your insanely early hair appointments!

Iris:  Please have that engraved on my headstone.................Here 'goes' one great daughter........with UltraBrite in hand!

And then Mom decided that she wanted to go to the grocery store WITH ME....lord have mercy.........we were in the store for an hour and 10 minutes!

I was trying to hurry her up a bit at the end and she said that is why she doesn't like to come with me often, because she is soooooooooo slow.  That is so NOT reason............

Anyhow...........5 hours after I arrived I made it safely back to the sanctuary of my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Faith..........enjoy the relatives and REALLY enjoy your trip out to see youngest DD!!!!!!!  Ohhhhhhhhhh on the Oboe..........can she still play it?

Loved the pics of Wonderboy opening the gifts!

Sahalie.............thanks for all the entertainment you have lined up for us!

I'm saying...............Mr. Cabana Boys house just might be what the Doctor ordered for all of us!!!!!!!!!!

    Wings.................where are you???????????????????????????

    Susan...................don't stay away so long!

    Amy..................feeling any better yet?

I stopped at a boutique on my way home from Mom's...............DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING.................This was the cutest store, they had such unique things and gifts, and I thought things were reasonably priced!  I can't wear flip flops cuz that thingy between the toes drives me bonkers.....but they had the cutest flips and you could buy additional straps and interchange to match your outfit........another type of sandals that I don't remember much about.......but the guy said they had like a reflexaology(??) thing in them and you could also wash them.

Everything else from unique gifts, baby gifts, wedding, just because gifts, house pretties................small store, but think it will be on my list for future use!!

Hoping all have a great weekend!

Footprint Debbie - I received your donation for Faith's shower - THANK YOU.

Emelee - Congrats on your July 22 due date. Do you know if your having a boy or girl? Lots of nannies on the beach that love to spoil babies.

Margaret  - Thanks for DD compliment. She is a sweetie pie.

Amy - Is the new antibiotic taking effect yet?

    Deb C. - BEARS - oh my!

Susan - Thank you for the nice compliment on DD. It seems like just yesterday when she started kindergarten.

Neesie - Thanks for sharing recipe. Love your MOM stories.

Faith - Kweezletown was a hit w/ my Day Care children. The dancing potatoes, Pollywog, Calamity Sam and the pilot were favorites among the older children. They were impressed that I know someone "famous" teehee. Enjoy DD2 recital - sounds exciting!

Sahalie - Poor Eric was outplayed on Survivor. I hear he's headed to our beach to scoop ice cream LOL.

Iris - How is your headache today? Thank you for DD compliment. She has interview tomorrow at the summer camp. She will be coming home for Mothers day, she lives about 2 hrs from home. I developed some of her graduation pictures today for other family members and was checking out some of the scrap-booking items. Lots of neat stuff - I have not done much scrapbooking but plan on being more involved in organizing my pictures.

Jaz - Hope we see you soon - miss ya.

    Hi girls,

Neesie, my mother is guilty of the creep factor - you can tell her you will be there for one hou and then she has all kinds of errands to do when you get there.

Wings, how did DDs  interview go?  I have tons of scrapbooking stuff.

Hope you are all enjoying your Friday evening.

What a day!! One for the record books. Everyone was happy & flexible!! whoooooooooooohooooooooooooooohoooooooooooo

Seeing my nearly 80 year old father, BEGGING to hold both of the twins -- at the same time & be photographed!! all within a minute of walking into DDs house was pretty incredible. Made all of us giggle as he's typically such a puritanical fuddy-duddy (I say that with an endearing tone in my typing.) He was a VERY strict father and then a congenial grand-father. Guess he figures there's no time like the present.

He loved their antics. I should say they loved their antics: the yawns, the stretches, the cooing...... Wonder Boy was in high gear of fascination w/these big people who adored every syllable he uttered and every gesture he made. So he was completely entertaining and a complete treasure.

I just spoke with my sister and her BIL apparently has been told that it's a matter of days now. We will see if they are able to get here as per original plan?? Or maybe plan B or plan C. They've had so much loss in her DH's family recently. This is just so much to grapple with.

On a lighter note (pun intended) DD2 has appointment to get her new oboe repaired in Philly tomorrow...... hopefully making it 'right' in nick of time for her recital Sun. Her new boyfriend's family is coming to meet her for the first time.... so she's feeling a tad bit stressed. This is a madcap weekend, even by my standards!!

Love that the house is quiet.

Iris: I saw some deeply purple name-sake flowers (also MY favorite) while walking around the block recently and thought of you & your incredible generosity of spirit. Just love the image above. Hope that your time with your parents continues to be productive.

nEEsie: I got your phone message, about you dialing the wrong number & then needing to make up something to say to me! hahahaha. I think we were probably seperated at birth. Just the sort of thing I do all the time. LOL.

Wings: Thanks so much for the feedback from the regulars at BonBon's House of Happiness. I REALLY enjoy hearing what the big kids have to say! Loved seeing your daughter in all of her glory! Aren't you proud of us for learning how to post the pictures!!

Sahalie: I put in my reservation for the sleep in late and go to bed early hours at the mother's day beach party. So thoughtful of you to arrange a wet nurse to take the middle of the night feedings for the weekend. The cabana boys you sent over are getting quite efficient at their diapering skills. It's your attention to detail that makes for such a spectacular outing.

Susan: Thanks for your feedback on my pics of my grands. I am learning about my digital camera all the time. I LOVE that I take a gazillion pics and just delete the ones that are crummy. Of course I think these kids are pretty cute, but I am selecting from a scad of photos in all honesty. But can you see how long WonderBoy's eye lashes are? I swear they could swat flies as he blinks.

Amy: I've been thinking about you all day today. One of your recent posts sounded so very upbeat and energetic and I wanted to congratulate you for keeping your hope alive in the midst of one trial after the other. You are a shining example for each of us. I know Sahalie has a special recognition in store for you @ Sunday's party. I can't wait to see the look on your face.

Margo: Sounds like you have a great plan for Mother's Day..... full to the hilt. What a special treat to see yhe GS in action. Go team, go go go!! i've never seen even one episode of survivor -- can you believe it?

Footprints: so glad to hear about your washer & drier..... that's gotta help simplify your life and allow you to save some energy for your helping others

Jasmine: missing you like crazy..... i have to sing my own songs since i don't have your surprises -- not nearly the same, as I hear myself all the time. come back and play. spin us some tunes.

DebC: glad to see you pop in periodically here at beach-time central. Ya just gotta love all the lovelies here. It's a truly unique place. Can't wait to hear about all the fun your girls have planned for your weekend. Sending you wellness & energy.

Emelee: It's gonna be fun to watch your bump turn into a person!

I think my DH posed & took a picture that will make you all smile. Headed to PhotoBucket from here.

OK. So here's the great-grandfather with his adorables:

And here's a pic of my mom & I wearing our Queen-for-the-day-Headgear-Boppies, as conceived, posed & captured by my DH:

(how slap happy are we getting around here? can we really be having this much fun burping the babbeez? for some reason it reminds me of a Saturday Night Live skit: "Cone Head Cousins" -- and I just realized that it's still Friday night for a few more minutes)

A quick stop at the beach to look around and say Hi to all!

Faith, those pics of the Greats with the Grands are great!!  If one thing can make the 'elders' smile from their heart........it's holding one of their little off spring!

By the way........my DD wanted me to tell you, Thank You.............she said that your CD is one she doesn't mind listening to over and over and over.....it isn't nerve wracking like so many of them!!!!!!!!!!!!  As any parent of young ones will attest.......that is a very high compliment!!

Iris........did I miss a post from you???????  I worry when I don't see you and your wonderful posts!

I am off in a bit to 'baby sit'................DD and SIL are taking GD to see 'Go Diego Go' at the Fox Theatre this evening..........Gotta love the way they ask................she 'forgot' to ask me last night..........so I found out about an hour ago!  She said that they were perfectly fine with taking the baby with them and that is what they had planned to do................but they think (and I agree) that it would be nice to just take Little Miss.......some one on one time with her!!!!!!!!!!!

I long for the good 'ole' days when family lived close by....(not to close!).....remember????  A few blocks away at most..........Now, it's an hour here or there............or for my son......4 hours via the vast sky!

Mothers Day tomorrow at my nieces..........(another hour drive!).......whenever we are all together they request me to bring my baked beans.........my own fault for jazzing them up and making them yummy!  So........think I'll go cut, chop and prep before I leave so I can just put it all together in the morning and get them in the oven!!

    Hugs to all...

Faith, how nice that your dad wanted to hold the twins and everyone had a good time.  Your pics are great.  My grandkids are on their way over, so my mother's day will become even fuller.  They'll spend the night so their mom gets some "me" time.

Debbie/Footprints, I have some herbs growing outside.  I'd rather they grow in my garden window but for some reason I can't keep them alive.

Susan, it was a gray cloudy day there - did it rain?  It was a beautiful spring day here.

    Back later.

Margaret - DD has second interview....thanks for asking. When I get my scrapbooks made we will have to show them off at the beach.

Nessie - I remember a few yrs back I took my DD and her friend to Fox theater to see one of the BackStreet boys sing solo. The place was packed w/ screaming teenage girls. I couldn't wait to get out of there. My eardrums are still ringing!

Faith - Priceless pictures of parents. I can just see the Cone head cousins in your next DVD LOL

Beach Buds - I am bringing a special guest to the beach tomorrow. Hope you like singing cowboys - he's one of my favs - I actually saw him in concert. Nessie bring your beans... cowboys like beans.

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful moms, friends, beach and bear lovers! Have a great one...so slow moving that it is nearly 3PM...it is the thought, right?

Sorry to be MIA for sev days...am at my house for the wkend and catching-up here and wanted to say a big HI to all and have a great Sun! Woke up with a sinus headache...knew it was coming and took meds. Maybe the weather will wash-off the pollen and clear the yellow haze!

neesie...thank you for the beautiful card! The angel card was so neat and glad we collect them. Hope that your Sunday sun comes out as it is raining here and none...maybe tomorrow(hello,Annie?). Dummy here lost four of my great MI apples or so and finally, got a clue that I better take them from the bag before they all spoiled.I am so the cook--not! Have a great week! Funny abt DD/gdaughter and the little one and hope they had fun. They love coming to visit,I know! Thanks for missing me as it feels good to have friends ask where I am even when I am rattling on "bearywordy"! This thread has such neat friends here! Have a wonderful day with the family. I will certainly rememb that abt you with all the visits and the Ultra Brite-I laughed when reading that the other day! My father's words as I left(after thirteen days)when are you coming back? I had to really breathe before I lit into him...he is on b/p meds, and I would need them if I did not stop and have a little aa(attitude adjustment)LOL!!! This wkend...hello,you have a dr's appt next wk...response...oh! You just have to laugh and eat lots of good candy(except I had put-on three lbs while there!);go,figure!

Wings...thanks for the beautiful bear card! I wish we were closer and I would most definitely share a Starbucks coffee anytime! My friend and I had one yesterday. Hers was free as she had a small wait...I thought that was great PR...mine I always wait for as I love the Caramel Macchiato. Have a great day and is yours the same as neesie's weather? Your MI pics just show what great friends there are in MI...one of these days,I know we are, all, going to meet in "real time" as I was saying to neesie, this neat thread has such great friends...thanks for asking abt me. Have a great time and I am sure your family is visiting today...hello to them.BTW,I love Toby Keith, too, and saw this funny movie with him and I think it was Lisa Hartman-Black-anyway,good voice and good-looking man.Hope your Lacie has had her camp interview by now. I am sure she did great.

Margaret...thanks for the beautiful cards from you,Jacob and Jocelyn. It was awesome getting all the neat mail after being gone for two weeks. Hope that your Sun goes well and that your flowers are a great reminder of what special person, friend, mom and grandmom you are. I think that is neat that you had irises and tulips in your arrangement. I looked yesterday and could not find one with irises but did get pretty red and white carnations and fresh flowers at Target. Have an awesome day and thanks for all you do! Hope that everyone has a great visit and go,Jacob! Hope his team wins their game today as maybe it is sunny and bright there rather than rainy.

Sahalie...loved the irises and all the other beautiful pictures as I have been reading and hearing abt how everyone is and what was happening. As I keep repeating(that is what I almost named myself here...bearsrepeating)this thread of awesome friends has really picked me up so many days and I do appreciate all the kindnesses and friends. The coast is rainy here...we do need the rain,so I won't complain. How abt where you are and what is your day like? Hope it is filled with all types of fun and beaching activities whether (cyber like me)or real time. Your trees and yard sound so pretty and I recognize a green thumb! I liked those beach house rules and the enjoying fun plus the sailing and all the other "beaching activities" that have been planned. Have a great Sun and thanks, again, for caring! It means so very much...bearywordy,as always but bearysincere thanks!

Jaz...so great to see your songs for the day...yeah! I loved the Come Saturday Morning as that brought back memories of college and believe it or not,I could play the melody on my tiny recorder for Elem Music teachers'class! Funny,it brought back memories playing the song. I could still see Liza Minnelli in that movie as Pookie and her VW bug! Always did like Joe Cocker, too and his Mad dogs and Englishmen album. Hope that AK is recovering as the storms looked fierce. That was quite a large swath of storms-really sad. Have a great Sun! Do you have special plans for today and this week? Thanks for all the great songs and being a friend...I sound like the theme from The Golden Girls...meant sincerely, though!

Susan...hi to you and thanks for asking my friend! I am here, just bored everyone else abt my life but I have had a busy week-sinuses had to be a pain, too. How abt you and your day? Loved that pic and nothing like "keeping your head in the sand"? Too funny! Hope that things go well and the same I was saying to Jaz,hope the storms were not in your area or affected you. It certainly was sad to see so much damage and the deaths. We had one near where I went to college-Greensboro. It hit like Thurs evening and was near my friend's house. He said they all hid in the basement and could hear the sirens around 11PM...really scared him,his wife and their three boys-missed their house but did lots of damage near the airport. Have a great Sun and thanks for the wonderful pics and all your kindnesses! Thinking of you!

faith...what neat pics of your mom and dad and the twins! I loved those "coneheads" although, too beautiful to be called that. Were those the ones that you were making before the beautiful twins' births? You have such a photogenic family and you certainly see the love. Thanks for sharing the neat pics and thank you abt the irises,as well. I am hoping to find some at Kroger today. Hoping that younger DD found a replacement or repair(?)for her oboe. Do they have spares...tell I know little abt musical concerts and performers, can't you? I always carried a spare tennis racquet when playing the games and tournaments, amateur, and wondered if they(musicians) did as well? Hope it is a great weekend and too funny the way you phrased it abt all the fam visiting. I know Sarah and the kids are having a great and busy time! Thanks for sharing the wonderful happenings with us and your friendship! I really do love to come here and feel like a "cyberfamily". Have an awesome Mother's Day!

footprints/Debbie...hi to you and so sorry abt the losses. Thinking of you and glad to get to know you better. It is nice to have beach friends to share my day with today. Hope that you did something special for you today. Much love and hugs to you!

Well,a special hi to you, Amy and Deb! Hope that you and your families had a great day! Thinking of you, both, and all the many who share our days at the beach or in real time.

Sorry if I missed anyone...thinking of all the friends, today, and thank you for allowing a bearybabbling, middle-aged woman to say hello! This thread has so many special memories, for me,and hello to all cherished angels, bears and friends wherever you are...love to you all!

    Iris-angel/bearlysane/Spartan '72...bearyproud to be a Beach Buddy!

Wings, if you need scrapbook supplies, let me know.  I'll probably never pick it up again.  My girls were NSync fans - Kristen actually got on stage and her favorite, Joey, sang to her.  She has a lot of good memories.  I saw Toby Keith in concert too.  He reminds me of a bad boy, I always went for the bad boys.

DebC, good to see you.  How are you feeling?

Debbie/Footprints, hugs to you on this tough day.

Iris, isn't it nice to get mail besides bills?  I got more flowers today - Shannon gave me some beautiful roses, and my sister gave me a big bouquet, so my  house is full of flowers.  Check out tuberoses.  It's not that they look so pretty but they smell like Hawaii.  The weather for today seemed iffy until we got to Jacob's game, weather was perfect.

Ladies, I hope you all enjoyed your day today and you mothers had a great day.

    Good Morning beach loverlies.

Jasmine, Seeing you post is music to us as well as the amazing songs you bring here to share.

    Welcome Home!

Faith, Looking at you and grandpa holding the beach babies is great.

Wonderful family photos forever and ever.

Iris, Spring of flowers. Your post is poetic beauty and a joy to read.

Debbie, Loving Footprints.  You are deep in my heart of hearts.

I always think positive thoughts for you Debbie and hope each day brings good things to you.

Wings, Light of the houses.  Any update on mail?

If not . . . Pony Express to the rescue.

    Neesie,  Hello to you always.

How did the bbsitting go?  And Yumms to the baked beans.

Deb C., It is always great to see your posts.

You are one wonderful woman going through this new journey with such class.

I know you must hear it all the time but you are such inspiration to others as we read how you are dealing with your latest journey.

Margaret, Your house must smell so nice with all the flowers.

What's the latest on interviews for your boy?

And. How is your sister doing?

Get ready for the hot days a head we are due for.

The good thing is we get those cool ocean breezes after a few days of hot weather.

As for me, I had one of the most happy Mother's Day ever.

Just to be with my kidlets makes me so very happy.

I cherish each time we adventure together.

    Guess where I was?

Yeppers, the Beach, I kid you not.

The kidlets took me, the five ranch doggies and our picnic baskets, small weber barbecue, plenty of yummy food and we went over to the beach.

It was windy as all get out but beautiful just the same.

    People were flying kites.

It's a great beach for dogs to get to be free and run with the wind and try to catch the Frisbee's that are tossed into the sky.

It matters not where they land, sand or sea or come mid air close by, they jump with complete joy to grab them and do it all over again.

I brought three Frisbee's for our furry loved ones.

It was hot hot hot when we drove back into town.

By Wednesday it could reach the 90's up here in northern CA.

As I sit here typing, I am looking at vases of roses given to me.

Some from a store, some home grown.

Isn't it funny how the store bought have no fragrance but the home grown smell like candy from our childhood bringing the sweetest smells to our memories.

Well, it's a new week and we can make it anything we want it to be so let's do it up good.

How about a beach scavenger hunt?

    Items to find are:

    1.   One turquoise flip flop

    2.   One small hermit crab

    3.   One beach pillow with decoration around the edge

    4.   A person with Hibiscus flowers in their hair

    5.   A person listening to sea shell

    6.   Your favorite beach song

    7.   Picture of beach you would most like to be on right now.

    8.   Shell necklace

    9.   Black pearls

    10. Parea

    *********************************

One day soon, enjoy a day at the beach with a furry friend.

    It's the best!

So nice to hear from all!

Deb.......glad to see you and knowing your kicking butt right now!!  Thinking of you!

I was going to try and pull it off and post a good one tonight...........but I just don't have it in me.............

Pass the Cheese............I've got plenty of Wine!!!!!!!!!!

Started my day off with a trek to the Dentist....my home away from home.....impressions for my 'partial'..............can't wait for that foreign piece of crap to be taking up residence in my mouth!

Most of you know that I really dislike May, mainly on a personal level.......and on top of that I've lost a client the last 3 Mays.  Well, just got a call a couple hours ago that a long standing client of mine isn't expected to last through out the night.

I've had a pit in my stomach the past few days...........just waiting for the 'other shoe to drop'............maybe this is it and the rest of the month will be better.............Okay......enough said.

Sahalie..........Thanks for the Scavenger Hunt...........!!  You have unique ideas for us all the time!

Iris..............Parents.......shall we all write a book?  Just a chapter a piece and we're sure to have a best seller on our hands!  During my hour and ten minute 'trip' to the store with Mom guess what she saw on the shelf??  ULTRABRITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is the store around the corner from her apartment!!!!  I had to bite my cheek on that one!!

Mom did have a good time on Mothers Day.........but she tires soooooo fast.  It's kinda amazing to see how families grow...........My parents had 3 girls.................yesterday there were 28 of us there!! Yes some are in laws...but from one set of parents....3 girls.....8 grandkids.....12 great-grandkids with her bakers dozen due in June!!

Waiting to hear from DD..............she came down with a bad case of the flu last night.............fever, freezing..........and two kids..............I told her to have SIL pack up the kids and bring them here for the night so she can rest..she hasn't left the baby overnight yet...........so we'll see if she does it...............the worrying never ends!

Well aren't I just a barrel of laughs tonight?!?!?!

Hoping all you beaches have a great night and I'll see you in the Morning when we all wake up!!......Childhood memories...........parents always said, "Goodnight, sweet dreams, I love you....see you in the morning when we all wake up!"
