Harley?  IF they have the results on Monday, why coudln't you just go there and ask for a copy of the result.  You can still keep your appt with him, but at least you'd know what's up?  I'd have to.  There is no way on God's green acres, I could wait that long!  Ut uh, no way!  Just me, ms, impatient! :D

Hope you have another wonderful day tomorrow too! :D  Surely wish my dh were home more than one day to get some time to enjoy with him.  Rather than doing his laundry, cooking and cleaning all day he's home.  Seems we never get time for us!  We're supposed to get away overnight or two for our anniversary if dd can stay here that weekend, but we're not even sure he can get 2 days off! :(  Last year for our anniversary we spent with him working and me doing MRI Bx and surgery :(  Not a good time!

Gee Nicki, you sure are working alot!!  You need to take a break once in awhile!!

    Wish,

No, I don't want to get the results, just being handed to me...  I think I really have to wait for my appt. to see my surgeon, cause he may need to do a biopsy and YIKES, seeing those words again, on paper.... really freaks me out!!   HECK, I was feeling kind of freaked out just reading those words again, on the paperwork from my surgeon after my last appt., when he ordered the u/s...  reading   "breast mass...."   even if his handwriting is not too easy to read...

You know, I am not so sure that the u/s report will KNOW for sure just WHAT the heck this thing is, so I don't think getting the report will ease my worries.  I'll just have to wait til I see my surgeon.

    Thanks, though.

Oh, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!   Crap, you sure had a lousy anniversary last year!  What day is your anniversary??  How many years has it been?  I love hearing about how other couples met, and how long they've been together.

I met my dh on 9/26, 27 yrs. ago, and it was a blind date, set up by my roommate.

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow, with few IOSs.

    Hey, whasux?

Following Nicki's strategy, I'm marking my spot.  I haven't been here lately, and even after reading 3 full pages of posts, I'm still way back on page 142 of this thread.

My dh is mumbling something about "time for bed," so this note is to remind me to go back to page 142 and keep reading until I catch up.  Then I can post my own IOS, which has to do with my ongoing adventures with lymphedema sleeves that don't fit and LE wrapping that isn't going so well because I'm so dumb that I forgot how to start the first few wraps of short-stretch around my hand and wrist...

Oh, and my other bitch is when something gets posted that drags the whole righthand side of the page off my computer screen, like on the previous page.  What was that???

It all sucks. My IOS for the day.

I stopped by the Breast Center yesterday & picked up a disk with my latest MRI/mammo on it as well as the results of the biopsy.  Heading to see a new onc on Tuesday & it's starting to sink in that it ain't over yet. My husband is (probably) going along to the appointment. Is it bad of me to think that I just want to go all by my lonesome?

We went out to a farmers' market this afternoon and came home to a call from MIL - she'd fallen/tripped and then FIL fell when he tried to get her up.  He hurt something in his back & the husband left to take him to the ER. 5 hours later they are finally in a room, awaiting orders for Xrays.

MIL is supposed to have surgery in the next week to take care of a long-running, very serious colon issue. She's got an excess of fluid in her gut and 2 sections of her colon which have to come out. If FIL is not able to take care of her when she gets out of hospital, it's going to be miserable.

My Huskies are down by 7 in the 3rd against Stanford. Not a pleasant evening....It was a beautiful day before the phone rang. Hoping for better tomorrows.

Vickie! Hey you! Sorry about your arm! Keep it elevated and take advil.

Everyone else, a bit that sucks and good night!

Hi everyone.  Another pop in or marking my spot!  A big that sucks to everyone who needs to hear it today.

My IOS is on the minor scale of things.  Working Sunday and missing football - that sucks!  I was so bored yesterday at work I just about went crazy.  Cant wait until today is over, I will be off Tuesday and then back on my regular working schedule which SHOULD be Monday thru Friday.

Hi there.  Badboob - If you can I would wrap the arm for support.  If not wear a sleeve.  It may prevent further injury to the arm.  This is from one klutz to another.

I get pimples on my LE arm.  Of course they are never there when I get to a LE clinic.

I am counting down the days to Vegas.  A shadow has crossed our activities.  The loss of Leftylu will forever be part of the trip.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend Leftylu.  I didn't know her, but did say a prayer for all her friends, family and those of you online who did.  Another angel. :(

Big that SUX to Pam with MIL injury and continue problems. Prayer for her recovery.

Hope everyone made it through the weekend with recoup to get through the next week!

My IOS!  DAnged cat, stood with her butt up to my keyboard and peed on it!  While I sitting here, reading a post earlier!  OMG!  I wanted to through her out the window!  I have NO idea why she did this! Of course, I'm running to get it unplugged, grab paper towels and screw drivers and what not. I look and here she is, sitting by her food bowl.  As much as to say, well! Bout time you got up to feed me!  Could it be, she was only hungry?  She's about 15 or so, we aren't sure, but what would make a cat do that, except she was upset or something!  Right in front of me!  Just made me ill.....UCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WhaSux??!!!

Vickie - Sorry about your arm.  Owie!!

Harley - Go take your vacation and enjoy it.  The day after I was diagnosed, I went on an overnight trip with my girlfriends and it was great!

Wish - Happy Anniversary! (whenever it is). And cat pee on your keyboard?!  ICK!!

Nicki - Working Sundays does suck.  And loved that "mini me" picture!!

My IOS today is a past one.  My dd and I went to her competition yesterday and because it was scheduled for 5 PM, decided to share a hotel room with one of her teammates and her mom.  The first part of this IOS is that the competition wasn't over until 9:30 last night and by the time we got the girls something to eat, it was 10:30.  They begged us to go swimming at the hotel (they are pretty wound up after competing) and the night manager let us, so they swam from 11 PM to 12 AM.  Then back to the room and shower.  So I'm dog ass tired and just when I'm looking forward to collapsing into bed, the other mom whips out her laptop and pops in a movie for the kids.  WTF?!  It's freakin' midnight and we need to watch a movie?!  You have got to be kidding me!  Plus, she puts in "Eight Below" (which is partly about sled dogs) so every 3 minutes someone's barking.  Crapola!  After 20 minutes, and everyone but me is asleep, I woke her up and said "I think we're done with the movie."  I actually like this other mom, but we have very different lifestyles.  My house is quiet and dark with children asleep by 8:30 most nights.  Whew - it's good to be home!

THAT SUCKS!!!!  Now I have some sleep ti catch up with...

Wish:  cat pee stinks!  So a big that sucks for you.

Cristine:  Dogs barking on the television while your trying to sleep also deserves a big that sucks.

Gotta run - hope you all have a day without any IOS's

    Morning!

My IOS this morning is that I have to work and had a horrible night's sleep....maybe 3 hours...I hate that.   I've pretty well gotten used to the nightsweats, but lately I'm having more trouble with chills after the nightsweats, where I cannot get warmed up.  WTF?

Diane--hairloss SUCKS, esp. when it hurts coming out!  I was lucky I guess--my head just itched like crazy.  Didn't really feel anything when the lower level came out.  I remember it took longer down there.

Harley--I would probably do the same thing...I waited 2 weeks for my app't with my onc to get my PET scan results.

Dream--sorry about your friend LeftyLU...death SUCKS most of all.

    Vicki--how's your arm?  Falls SUCK.

Pam--I'm sorry about your MIL and FIL....It's hell getting old and being sick on top of it really SUCKS...make sure you take care of yourself while you're caring for them!  Will be praying for them and you.

Nicki--working on Sunday SUCKS and being bored at work on Sunday adds injury to SUCKS...

    Wish--Cat Pee SUCKS

THAT SUCKS to anyone I've missed! Gotta run, now I'm late!!

    Hi there...

Thanks Cristine.  I think we need this trip really bad!!  Too much has been happening lately.

    Sherri,

Thanks!  I know we need this trip!

    Wish,

    Cat pee STINKS!!

Here's my IOS for today...  My cat Thor is constipated again.  He is 6 years old, and about 6 months after we first got him, he was constipated, and spent the week at the vets!  OMG!  He was SO MAD at us!!

So, today, he is staying at the vets, while they try to get him to go, giving him enemas and I know that cat is gonna be SO MAD at us when we get him tonight!  At least, I'm hoping he goes soon, so he can come home tonight!  Last time this happened, it took FIVE days to get him to go!  They kept giving him different things to get him to poop, but .... nothing.

Oh, I just realized... another poop story!  I wonder if he was so upset from being locked in the bathroom last week, that now he is all plugged up!!

Hmmm...does he eat a good food?  Maybe he's just not digesting it?  Poor kitty.  I don't know, if they can hold a grudge, or be that upset or not.  I do know, if this cats pees on anything again, she's doing the vet thing, and I don't care how long they keep her! UGH!  I hate cat pee on anything but the kitty litter!

OMG, I cannot keep up with this thread anymore!  The complaint I mentioned earlier about the page being too wide for my screen was from maybe 8 pages ago.

I can't stay long.  I just wanted to say to Pam that, when I read about your MIL and FIL, my heart sank.  I feel so frustrated and helpless when it comes to problems with elderly parents.  Last year (pre-BC year), I spent a good bit of the winter in and out of airports, rental cars, and hospital rooms after first my dad and then my mom had medical emergencies.  To top it all off, my sis (my only sibling) and I often disagreed about what needed to be done and when it should happen.  At the time, she got in my face (literally) and cursed me, and I truly thought she was going to hit me.  (I'm older and bigger, but she's always been a Jack Russell terrier.)  She still gives me the evil eye about a couple of decisions I had to make after she decided to bail out and go home.  I have to take some Rolaids every time I think about those horrid months and imagine the next time someone in my family declares a medical emergency...

The IOS I mentioned about my LE sleeve/glove issue is annoying but minor on the great scale of life.  I was fitted for an LE sleeve and gauntlet 2 weeks ago, but they don't fit after all.  I was given (sold) a "regular" sleeve, when I should have had a "long"; and the upper border (the cuff) is way too tight for my upper arm.  When I wear the sleeve, even with the gauntlet, the back of my hand puffs up.  I don't dare wear the sleeve anymore because I'm afraid it will make my "mild, transient" LE worse.  I'm thinking about the LE precautions we're supposed to take--like, no BP measurements in the affected arm--and then I'm gonna wear a compression sleeve with a cuff that's too tight???  Of course, the policy at the medical supply place where I was fitted is, if you wear it out the door, you keep it--no refunds or returns.  How the heck was I supposed to know it didn't fit correctly until my hand and upper arm had time to puff up?

I have my 2nd of 3 appts with my PT/LE therapist tomorrow, and I'm hoping she can give me some advice.  I also called the med supply place and insisted that they see me tomorrow afternoon, so they can see how poorly this sleeve fits (and give me back my prescription, so I can take it somewhere else).

Oh.  A hearty, "That SUX!" to all...

A big that Sux to all!  There are too many to even keep up with, and kitty pee on the keyboard  ICK!  I got an extra keyboard, give me your address and I'd be happy to put it in the mail to you.

I have a HUGE IOS today!  After all this worrying about my son he called the other day and had apologized for not calling more this week but their week of R&R got cancelled, as he says it shit happens in war and when you gotta go you gotta go.  Anyway during one of Bush's address's to the soldiers a week or two ago he publicly announced my sons unit will be returning to the US in Dec 08!  WOOHOO!!!!!  Now that had me very excited, he called again today and said dates are set, they will be coming back in groups over 2 months.  The first group ships back to the US on Nov 15th and the last of them will be returning Jan 15th 09!!!!!  It is so close and I can't contain my excitement!!!!!!  Of course now my DIL has to get off her butt and get busy trying to get their family moved to Texas before he gets home.  She drags her feet on everything especially this move.  He had expected her to at least have plane tickets to get to ft hood and start the process to get their furniture moved to texas.  She has not made one phone call.  Ahh well, that is their problems, I'm just thrilled the will be home.  I am going to cry when the grandbabies leave for good but I sure am looking forward to going back to not having to child proof my house!

Otter, good luck with you PT/LE and hopefully she can tell you where you would find a good fitter for arm sleeve :(  THAT SUX about the returns. Sounds about right, since they don't give the correct ones, they'd be getting returns all the time.  I wonder if a lawsuit for the ramifications of one that was ill-fitted would make them reconsider...the mention of one I mean.

LuAnn, you are too sweet.  It seems to be working after I cleaned it well (really well), except the 'D' sticks occasionally.  It's old, so probably time I replaced it.  I'm thinking I might even have one in the storage room by chance. Thanks for the thought.  It was a freebie, but can't remember if I gave it away or not?  Hmmm..good thought...

Thank HEAVENS your boy is coming home soon!  Hope he's one of the first, but....at least he's coming soon!  As for you dil, perhaps she felt more comfortable being there with you and helping out?  Maybe she was just wanting to be with family longer, b/c I'm sure it's no fun returning to base on her own without family. :(  Hopefully she'll get things situated before he returns. :D

My IOS...minor today...our mailboxes have been a 1/2 mile away b/c of the road construction for what?6-7months?  So we got a little card, saying we have a certified letter to come and sign for at the post office! UGH!  I hate going to the usps office! The lines are always like waiting for a potty at the sporting events!  SUX!

    Hey everybody,

I just read through all the posts and can't remember jack (as Patrice would say). I remember LuAnn said something that cracked me up..... and who is waiting on results? Harley and Pam???I sure wish you could go back a page! Undecided

My 'lil sis gets the results of her scan tomorrow......Please God let everybody's scans be clean!!!!! Please..............I'm begging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Otter, it's cool to see you...haven't seen you in awhile.

LuAnn, I'm glad your boy is coming home. That is so awesome. :)

Oh...I just remembered....carpet and drapes. That was FUNNY! Even though...it's talking about the worst CRAP I have ever put up with in my life! (((((((((((((((Diane))))))))))))))) I still have probs "down there" with....sorry this is gonna be gross.....ingrown hairs. IT SUCKS!!!!!!! My hair never fell out in clumps. I was sitting in a bathroom at a restaurant and I ran my finger through it and alot more than normal pulled out. That night, I sat on the bathroom floor and cried as I just kept pulling it out (without really trying). It took prolly 5-6 days before it was "all" gone. Girl, I would do ANYTHING if it would help you not have to go through that crap. It sounds like your gonna be better at it than I was. Most girls on here have been pretty brave wear that is concerned. I've only "met" a handful that it seemed to bother as much as it did me. ((((((((hugs))))))))

I can't remember anything else but as I've said before....I read all the message in my email box. Nikki....whenever I see your name, I always wonder what the pic is you posted cuz I can't see them!!

    Hugs everybody.

Hi to everyone.  What an absolutely crazy week.  My IOS is work!  Because I had to work this week-end I was out of the community marketing 5 out of six days!  Had a meeting today and they all wanted to know why I didnt know more about whats going on with patients - that havent been evaluated because I had to spend 2 boring days doing nothing!  Everyone was crabby and I just wanted to say Pffffffft! to all of them.

Rainy, rainy day here in Chicago.  And after I got out of yet another meeting I did start going to see the patients out in the hospitals.  The parking lots had puddles and I was wearing baby doll shoes!  Wish I would have thought to wear boots.

Sherri:  I sure do know those nights and it deserves a big that sucks. Especially cause you dont get over it, sorta hangs on!   Anyways, sometimes I have to change my PJ's and put a towel on my sheets and pillow (God forbid I should wake my husband up).

Wish:  Man your good.  I would have immediately thrown the keyboard out and got a new one. Would never have thought about taking it apart and actually CLEANING it.  Oopps I think thats from another thread.

Harley:  Im so happy your are getting to go away.  Its exactly what you need.

Otter:  Having LE is not small on the scale of things and sucks big time.  And what a terrible policy.  These medical supply places are supposed to be the experts.  We count on them measuing us correctly.  I think I might protest.

LuAnn:  I just had to get up and start dancing.  Such good news!

Bonnie:  So good to see a post from you.  4 more taxol sucks,  But you at the end of your countdown which is good.  Next there will be 3 and then 2 more - and then the final one more - and then the IM FINISHED!  Cant wait to do the happy dance with you.

Traci:  You cant see them?  If anyone cant see my pictures you must let me know.  I will fix it, cause I take time looking for "the right picture."

Just a quick hello, went to a funeral today for a friend/co-worker, she was only 52 years old! (She was a bc survivor, but was dx with lung cancer in Feb of this year - so sad!) Anyway, it was a long day, and I had a dinner out tonight with friends, and now I'm beat.

Traci - sending positive vibes your sister's way

Let's see, I'm testing my memory banks - cat pee, Vicki's arm hurts, Harley is waiting for results (and we're hoping they're good) and going on a trip, Diane how's your hair doing? Nicki is still able to find pictures to match the conversation and that's all I can remember right now.

Hey, I rememebered way more doing it "stream of consciousness" than when I try to think of one person at a time. Maybe I'm onto something!

Dreamwriter - I'm sorry about your friend.

    Otter,

Getting an LE sleeve that doesn't fit ...  well, it SUX!!   Mine didn't fit either, but they took it back.  It was TOO BIG, and it kept sliding down my arm.  My LE is also very mild.  I got it from an idiot chemo nurse who gave me a Neulasta shot in my arm...  then, a week or two later, I woke up with a puffy hand!  My LE PT told me to take that sleeve back because it didn't fit right.  They tried to give me one off the shelf, but I needed a custom sleeve.  I wore the gauntlet for a few weeks, until I realized that it wasn't helping me.  My hand and my fingers were puffier after I wore it all day!  So I decided to stop wearing it, but I have the sleeve and gauntlet, just in case.

    cmb35

Wow!  Your memory is way better than mine!

Thanks, Traci!   I hope your sister's scan comes out all CLEAR!!!

Hope everyone has a non sucky day tomorrow!!

cmb, sorry to hear about your friend, cancer is such a vicous beast!

Saint, don't be getting sick before Vegas otherwise you will get us all sick.

Ok I had a great SOI today but my DIL is becoming an IOS!  She is becoming very lazy and I am afraid when it comes down to it she won't move down to texas with my son when he gets back.  I get the impression she doesn't want to leave.  She is supposed to be packing all their stuff and making a trip to ft hood to sign a lease on an apt for them.  While she is there she is supposed to arrange the pickup of all their household goods at my house as well as their car.  He asked her to get busy on this about 3 weeks ago and today he was upset she hasn't done anything yet.  She actually blamed it on me today saying that I was going to Vegas so she can't get anything done if I am gone.  What does my trip have to do with her making phone calls and packing?  Plus my trip doesn't stop her from making her airline reservation to go take care of business.  I love my grandbabies but am so ready for her to move out with them.  I want my peaceful house back!

Wish- A cat that pees differently than normal is not hungry.  Probably has a urinary infection (and beinging older... not unlikely).  Cats peeing out of the norm is a "something's wrong" sign.  The cat we just had to put down started by peeing on my husbands bed... through everything.  Right in front of poor sputtering hubby.

Luann - I have a daughter like your DIL.  I was told do nothing.  It is up to her to do what she needs to do.  If she waits for your son to come home to do it, that's her choice.  She lives with his anger.  Anything you say will be NAGGING.  She is big girl.  She knows the score.  Let her live with the consequences.

Saint.... if you get antibiotics now, your throat will not be an issue.   Do I need to bring masks?
