Good morning friends
I have found since I have been sick you friends are really the only ones I have communications with. i feel somewhat better this morning. I stayedup most of the night watching the election. That was after my DH fell asleep on the sofa with a glass in his hand. He got up once this morning but his head was so bad, he went back to bed.
Ihave thought about pouring out half the bottle and adding food color and water. I doubt if he would noticed after the first drink of he night. I come from a familoy of addicts and hope that he get its together before I am the one putting him in the ground. When I tell him that he looks kind of funny.
I have found that sleeping with the heating pad that instruction say don't sleep with keeps my back and sides from having the pain I was experiencing. No pain makes for a better mood.
A big sucks to all that need it, I probably will before the day is over.

A quiet day on the SUX thread is either good or bad?????
I did get an SOI from a friend, she had a calcified looking lump in her breast. On quick check at the biopsy time looks to be B9, YEAH for her!!!!
And the an IOS I FRIGGIN hurt so bad! I thought this pain pump would get me going but now I have new pains going crazy. I have a feeling I am going to be back to my rheumotologist because my small joints are in major pain, they were doing so good for awhile WTH happened???? Who put the pin in my vodoo doll to cause this????

RE your IOS -- THAT SUX, LUANN!!
0 -
Happy for your friend, but dang it all! Now your fingers hurting? SO sorry sweetie! Can you get in to see the Rheumy pretty quickly? Hope you don't have to wait to long And if there's someone with a voodoo of you, I'll tell you, and them too, they be messing with the wrong women! Get your tools ladies, we're going hunting tonight!

What thread is GSG and why after joining it are you not allowed to clean?
Luann I am sorry the pain pump is not making you 100 percent pain free. I hope you find the magic solution soon.
My OIS is that work has remembered me and my bosses are taking me out to lunch tomorrow.

dreamwriter, it's the one gsg started called "I Can't Get My Act Together and I Don't Know Why" which has become the place for all of us who have found our housekeeping skills & our attitudes deteriorating since our dx. And furthermore, we don't give a rodent's derriere, because BC SUX & SO DOES HOUSEWORK! So, if any of you find you'd need to shovel out your livingroom first before being able to run the vacuum cleaner, do come over & visit! It's okay if you do clean once in a while, it's just that we might sneer at you for a few days.

Sorry, dream, I meant the "I can't get my act together and I don't know why" thread.
Is that bad your bosses remembered you and are taking you to lunch? Shouldn't that be a good thing, or am I missing something?

Glad to see there aren't too many new IOS's. THAT SUCKS to all who need it.
My IOS is actually an SOI...I spend a good while this afternoon talking on the phone with a dear friend. She had me laughing so hard that I've found I now have a tummy ache from all the exercise! LOL....Thanks, LuAnn!

Gentle Hugs and smilies for everyone. THAT SUCKS as needed. I have been checking in, but not posting as I have no serious IOS. Minor junk that is more annoying than anything else. I refuse to pay $8 for a drive thru car wash - I used to hand wash it myself and use newspapers to polish the windows and it would then be all sparkly and shiny. Well, it does not run any better when it is clean or dirty, so WTF - right? Does this fall into the same category as house cleaning???
At the bridge group today the pita was my partner for one round. I cut her off each time she began grilling me, and I think she finally got the hint. I am sorry I cannot remember all the suckiness going on, so I shout another THAT SUCKS. My IOS is surgery consult tomorrow to see what I do now that chemo is done. Monday I had a MUGA scan to see if the 12 weekly herceptin did any damage.
My finger nails are lifting off the nail beds and they are sensitive and look horrible. hair on my head is visible - more like fuzz and ACK -- chin hairs are back but very few eye lashes and no eye brows!!!
Prayers go out for good things for all. HUGS, Nancy

SO MUCH SUCKAGE!!!
Diane, I like Bliss's idea....about texting that b&%ch in the night, and taping your dh's thang to his leg, and threatening superglue, anyway that whole situation SO sucks for you, it's the last thing you need and I am so sorry you are having to deal with it.
LuAnn, so sorry you are hurting..that really sucks.
Pinky, you just keep on communicating, lady, we are here for you.
My IOS--small. Just still dog. ass. tired. I feel a tiny bit better every day but I am impatient--I want to be well NOW.
My SOI--I took the day off today and my dh and I went shopping for Christmas decorations together, then went for Mexican food together. He's a sweetie. AND I am off work all next week, we are going to Tennessee to see relatives and then getting a cabin in the Smokies for two nights, just the two of us......(gotta remember to go to Victoria's Secret...) I CAN"T WAIT!!!
Hope everyone has a better evening.
Sue

I will check out the thread. Thank you.
I envy you Sue that you have any anticipation of pleasure south of the navel. If I went to VS they would laugh me out to the granny panty aisle. Hope you have a wonderful time in the cabin in the Smokies
It is not a bad thing about my bosses taking me to lunch. It is just a reminder that I have left that world to be a stay at home sick person. And have done not much to live up to that either. Trapsing off to Vegas etc. And they are stuck paying medical disability until I either retire or end my time in palliative care (feet first).

{{Dream}} it is nice then, that they are taking you to lunch. Enjoy it, and know that 'trapsing' off to vegas is probably what they would have told you to do, had they been asked. I'm sure anyone would have! I'm certainly glad you ladies did and have enjoyed the stories (albeit tiny bits) of your fun you all had!

Reading, not posting, a big that sux to all!

Hey everybody,
Sorry I haven't been posting that much. Just working and....not much else.
Diane, you are too funny.
Hugs everybody, more later.

Dream, trapsing off to Vegas, as I remember it you were in the thick of the fun. Although I still don't understand the snake in the bed thing even though I tried to help. So could you kindly explain that little tidbit of fun you were involved in? Also, I have the proof that you were having a blast, I have dream with the wine in the party bus! LOL Oops! Sorry I'm telling your secrets of trapsing off to vegas LOL

See, there again...we're attempting to live vicariously through your girls ventures and all we get is bits of snakes and wine on busses and man....I know...should have gone if we wanted to know what you all were doing right? So happy you all got together though, sounds like you really enjoy the time, that's funtastic!

I know that this has come up before, but I'm going to bitch about it again....
I went to an AA meeting last night and everyone was telling me how good I look and how nice my wig is. Do they think I don't have a mirror? Exactly what am I SUPPOSED to look like? Will I look even better after I go to my LGFB class on Tuesday?
I'm also tired of constantly being asked how I'm feeling. I know I will most likely be asked this question for the rest of my life, but I'm running out of answers. I know they are being kind and caring, but I'd like to come up with a standard response that doesn't give too much info, but shuts them up.
OK, that's my rant for now. Good thing I have an appointment with my therapist this afternoon.

I hear you Jane.
Here is what I say when told that I look good: "Whatever." (With a role of my eyes for full effect)
When asked how I'm feeling: "I'm doing o.k., but I can't prove it, so don't ask me to."
uh oh....I think I'm showing my bad attitude again.....
Hugs, Traci
ps I wanna go to Vegas next time!!!

A big THAT SUX to anyone who needs it!
Sue ~ so glad to see you! I have missed your posts my friend. It's good to be done chemo and able to check in here regularly again! Sounds like you and dh had a PERFECT day, I hope you enjoy the trip as well.
LuAnn...only what HAPPENS in Vegas, stays in Vegas ~ you can tell us anything about the trip to and 'fro!!
Traci ~ ((((HUG))) just because you sound like you need it...
Wish ~ c'mon...I know you have more beans to spill about Vegas
KAK ~ thanks for the alternative description, aka, Rodents Derriere!
Jane ~ we haven't met, I've been on very sporadically the past 3 months...but if I may offer a suggestion for your "standard response" ?
them: Hi Jane...how are you feeling?
you: Me? I puked my guts up last night but other than that I feel great. How about You?
them: um.....ok, I'll talk to you later.
you: off the hook, you get to move on.
Just a thought. I think all of us get sick of hearing that question, or some variation of it. I personally still don't know what to say when someone says I look great. I have no hair, circles under my eyes, and I gained 30 lbs in 3 months. HTF can I look great and by what standard are we measuring it by?
Anyway,
Hope you all have an IOS free day!

As for the how do you feel question, my typical answer is "I feel rotten, hurt like hell and am miserable, anything else you need to know?" Or you can always say "I was doing great til I ran into you" LOL, and then the you look great line "of course I do, when didn't I?" or "you mean you just noticed after all these years, wonder what I'm doing different?" I just think people can't come up with anything they can say or do and try to be nice instead just irritate the crap out of us.
As for the Vegas we came up with a new slogan WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS GETS TALKED ABOUT ON THE BOARDS so no more of this stays in Vegas crap! LOL
Heck I have some awesome photos of a very hot stripper pulling money out of some very trickly places on one of the ladies LOL

Oh Bonnie, I only WISHIWERE there in VEGAS with the girls! I didn't go, but sooooooooo wishihad!
So? Uhmmm...LuAnn dearest? We keep hearing about these pics....will you post them at some time in the future, or are you using them as 'blackmail'? J/K, but it would be nice to see you girls having fun, even if it's not pulling bills out of unmentionable areas!

I am actually trying to work on making a scrapbook with narratives so you know what is up and who people are but I am very slow going at it. This is a new digital program I am working with and it doesn't like agreeing with me. Plus I'm trying to learn how to manipulate my photos a little better with photoshop at the same time. I really need a teacher, one on one to sit and work with me on this LOL

Maybe calling a college and asking if there's anyone in the computer program that does side work? Might be some brainy college kid looking to make a few bucks in the evening?
0 -
I actually just called a company I used to work for as a trainer and am going to see if they will give me a private class to help me learn the few features I am having trouble with. Sometimes things just don't make sense and I need my lightbulb to turn on. Unfortunately I think someone shot a hole in my lightbulb and it may never turn on LOL Either that or the vodoo pin is poking a hole in it.

Hey WhaSux?
Hugs to all who need them & a cast iron shovel with magic powers for the rest!
My IOS would sound odd...so I'll just say it's pissing me off & it SUX!!!!
I want to tell you all: LuAnn is da bomb----you all need to know she is SO generous she gave a perfect stranger not the shirt off her back, but the prosthesis off her chest! LOL Ya shoulda seen him put it under his T shirt!!! Ask her about that one...someone has pix (wish my friend would remember to send mine!! I know I took one of that) Wish you ALL coulda come--it is totally awesome to meet in the flesh!
Not in the right frame of mind for this----so you all be well & stay strong!

Big SUX to you Saint, sorry you're not up to staying and being happy, but here's a little {{hug}} to help you through it
LuAnn, hope you get that bulb lit and find it was just a little dusty on top and not an actually hole in it!

I'm just posting-and-running but wanted to pass along a story from today's New York Times. I would bet good money that the jogger is a woman with breast cancer. You can recognize that spirit from a million miles away.
November 6, 2008
National Briefing | Southwest
Arizona: Jogger Attacked by Rabid Fox
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESSA jogger was attacked by a rabid fox, ran a mile with the animal's jaws clamped on her arm and then drove herself to a hospital, the authorities said. The Yavapai County sheriff's office said the woman told deputies that she was on a trail near Prescott on Monday when the fox attacked and bit her foot. The woman said that she grabbed the fox by the neck when it went for her leg but that it bit her arm. The woman wanted the animal tested for rabies so she ran a mile to her car with the fox still biting her arm, then pried the animal off and tossed it in her trunk and drove to the Prescott hospital. The sheriff's office said the fox later bit an animal-control officer. He and the woman are both receiving rabies vaccinations.

My goodness! What spirit is right! IF she's not, she surely should be an inspirational in some sense! WOWZER! More guts than I'd have! OW!!!!!!!!!!!0
-
Wow Rock, if a fox bit me I would drop the bloody thing, never mind throw it in my trunk. Foxes I like to look at, they regularly come into my garden on a night to see if there's any dog or cat grub left to swipe, pick up all the slugs that are slithering about, and vanish.....very useful!
I just would NOT like to have one bite me.
Isabella.

TGIF tomorrow & a big HOLY SUCKOLA to all. Rock, I told my dog Foxy that story, & he said he'd never bite me unless I forgot to feed him for about a week.
Sue, you sooo deserve such a great day!
Jane, that LGFB class -- is that the Looking Ghastly/Fake Boobs one?? LOL
Saint, awesome story about LuAnn!! LuAnn!! You rascal!! Details, girl! We can only imagine what was left out! And we do have great imaginations, but 'fess up!
That story reminds me of a couple things from last week -- a tad stale, but still applicable.
SOI - during the last week of Pink Month, I went to a fundraiser sponsored by the hospital where I had my partial boob amputation -- oh, 'scuse me, surgery -- which was a night of dinner, comedy & frivolity at a local country club. The comics were women & totally awesome. LMAO as well as my mascara, got a pink feather boa for being a survivor (& who hasn't secretly yearned for a pink feather boa, I ask you??) & won a goodie bag on a raffle ticket (which NEVER happens -- I NEVER win stuff) that was put together by another survivor. A grand time was had by all.
IOS - on the eve of Halloween, one of the local elementary schools decided to have a "Wear Pink for BC Awareness Day" before the month was over. So, I do not have kids in this school (I do not have kids at all, in truth, just the furry kind) & by then, I was a bit sick of Pink Month (aka "we're selling pink stuff so you'll think we're a socially conscious corporation" month) so perhaps I had a bad attitude. However, by the time the 4th or 5th colleague -- who, BTW, are all aware that I've just returned to work after being poisoned & mutilated -- with a kid at that school asked me, "how come you're not wearing pink?" I kinda snapped. So, I whipped out my fleshy pink prosthesis & said, "I AM wearing pink - FOREVER!" Shut HER up.....
