Have to say, feel so for my Dad that his post op issues have sucked, but DH and I have so enjoyed time with my Mom as she has stayed with us while he's in the hospital because we live closer than they do. Cancer just plain sux, doesn't matter which kind it is, it just sux

Boy Omaha, that SUX! Well Cancer in general SUX!!!!!

I will be going for an ooph at the being of Aug.

Here's one that should at least make someone laugh. How about having an internal ultrasound, with your DH in the office w/you, asking does that hurt. Well when the dr is shoving the stupid wand as far a possible to get a "good" look at your ovaries and pressing on your tummy, it does. I asked him how he would feel if I stuck something up him and pushed hard. The doctor said what we do in our bedroom is fine, but he would never let his wife do that to him.LOL I guess you had to be there.

    Big hugs to all

    and one last THAT SUX!!!!!!!

Good one Mary.  I think we should always bring out the Scrotum Crusher during these delicate procedures or at least request a two-for-one prostate examination.  All's fair in love and private parts.

I did get my revnge last year when he had a cyst removed from his scrutom. That was as painful and as close to childbirth as a man can get, except for Kidney stones. I had Kidney stones, but did not name them like Nettie. Good Luck Nettie.

I do have a steel piston in my ear since about 1989, I did name that Isaiah Thomas( detroit Piston at the time).

    Have a great day.

Mary22's doctor is a contender for the office joke of the year award.  Please make a note of it.

A big hug and a THAT SUCKS to whenever you must apply it this weekend.

I reacquainted myself with RockyRoad icecream yesterday.  Haven't had it in over 10 years.  I hope they have that stuff in Heaven.

Very Gentle Hugs for everyone.  THAT SUCKS as needed.  Had my port out today.  Woke up at 4 am and could not get back to sleep.  Of course I could not eat or drink anything, so wandered back and forth and finally took a shower.  My ride pick up at 6 am and I got to the hospital in 20 minutes.   They told me to be there at 7 am.   I thought they had forgotten about me after I got the IV inserted in my arm.  Finally at 9:30 they wheeled me into the OR.  Apologies all over the place for the "delay" and I was out of there by 11:30.   My DS took me for lunch then home.

It did not hurt for a while, then bang, the pain hit hard.   Tylenol 3 and a long nap and I am ready for some food.   I hope there is something good on tv tonight.    Dear (((((( saint )))))) so sorry to hear of your ongoing problems.   kmmd sorry about the neuropathy.   Everyone else --   peace and blessings.     Nancy

Hi Ladies, thought I'd share that even though both breasts have been MRI guided biopsied and because they are all "difficult to read" have been sent to Cornell to be read by a breast pathologist. It is looking like both of my breasts are "very sick" with LCIS and one or both may have a ILC component. My BS and I discussed Bil MX, which even if there is no ILC I think I have to bite the big one and do it because I could not ever stand doing this again. I am worried about many things now but one of them is reconstruction, my Dr. likes DIEP any suggestions or opinions. BTW Cancer Sucks

I am better today, no pain pills, but maybe one to sleep tonight.  I took a shower and removed the tegaderm.   Just a gauze with tape over the stitches now.  It looks like he made an incision twice the size of the one to put it in.   I might go to bridge group tomorrow if I get some decent sleep tonight.   Nite Nite, sweet dreams, restful sleep,   HUGS,  Nancy

Saint...sorry to hear you're having problems.  I pray for you every day.

Sagit.....We'll welcome you home.  I added you to the list too.

Thank you both for checking in with us.

My good news....I don't have lung cancer.  Bad news....I don't know why I'm having problems breathing.  I'm hoping it's not from rads.

I have been to Colorado - Denver and then up into the mountains to the High Altitude Lightning laboratory at 14,000 feet.   My sister lives at 9000 feet and it is a peaceful naturally beautiful area. But going for a walk in the woods is not a good idea with bears, wolves and mountain lions.   Much safer in your car...    I pray you will get the care and whatever you need to get through this.

I think we can all get "through" this, but we will never get "over" it.   It threw our lives into such a turmoil and changes were forced on us that we would have never dreamed about before.   The worst part for me was there was no clear cut path or treatment to follow.   So many words, so many possible treatments, and no obvious way to proceed.

I use tylenol 3, with codeine, for pain and it usually knocks me out for a few hours.   I do not drive when taking it, so mostly only to get to sleep at night or when I feel so lousy I know I will not be driving.   Since I live alone, I need to plan my pain management carefully.   I am allergic to multiple drugs, including darvocett and percoset.   So far this works for me.

THAT SUCKS, as needed.  Hugs and Blessings,   Nancy

I go psychotic on Percocet! Tongue out Apparently a lot of people do. I wonder why it's still out there? I just had a pre-op yesterday and mentioned it yet again, and was told, yet again, that it is so prevalent. Doi!

barbe, I understand what you mean about percocet, it does nothing for my pain and wires me. My aunt really goes psycho on it, so much so we thought she was developing dementia.

A BIG "THAT SUX" for al lwho need it.

    blessings to all.
