Tomato juice?

I'm already mad at myself. I'm going to a wedding and I know I'm going to end up wearing the shoes that are cuter, but hurt my feet...rather than the plain ones that are comfortable. Someone talk me out of it quick. I have to be out the door in 15 minutes.
0 -
Can you wear the cute shoes and stick the comfortable ones in your bag to change when your feet start to hurt?
0 -
Hmmm....great idea! I'll put them in the car and I can go out and change if I need to at the reception! Excellent, Lorena...my feet and I thank you!
0 -
Well yep, we washed him with tomato juice. Oh yuck, Im gonna be smelling that smell for along time. House smells too. Im off to a Kentucky Derby party. Everyone will probably stay as far aways from me as they can.
GSG: I agree bring the comfy shoes with. I was wearing my pretty heels when I stumbled. Have fun at the wedding.
A big that sucks to everyone. See ya later, alligators.

Shit my gripe is I almost finished answering everyone and lost the bloody post.
dani5, I hope you can get that second opinion on the path report, didn' know they did that, so man when I finally see mine I'm going to re-read this and hope that they didn't do the same to me.
Otter, thanks for confirming the saying, I watched that movie and loved it, and the saying stuck, correctly at that. And thanks for the tip on Desitin, is it the same as Penatin lots of zinc in it and why didn't I think of it. I do buy the huggies, but I get the ones with shey butter, really nice on the scald.
Chemosabi, (love that name) sorry about your dog, did you use juice or buy the stuff from the pet store. Poor dog he/she must have been so surprised as well. Lets hope it doesn't happen again, oh yuck.
gsg your post about your dh made me chuckle my mom went through the same thing maybe when he's better he could help at a womens' shelter they could really use his knowledge and it would help your sanity. When my ex was between jobs he would drive me nuts the same way, hated it so much, and they do follow you around the house and correct everything done, I just stopped doing things and made him do it, told him if I was wrong, well then you do right. He stopped after a few days of being tired all the time, loved it.
Badboob damn companies that screw up payroll send them copies of all the bank charges and make them pay, gosh what did that do to your credit they are so fussy now a days about anything like that, I'd make them write equifax as well. And I'm sorry your broke for the weekend, lousy, lousy, lousy.
gsg, I'm probably to late but could you get some Dr. Scholl's insoles. But no matter have some fun it would be great to have a reason to dress up for a night.
Crazydaisy, I'm here in Ontario and hearing about all of the job losses in car manufacturing it's so scary, and there is so much of it. Get as many scripts as you can before you lose that as well and get your teeth done just in case. I've also been seeing that they are offering re-training programs for people and really trying to get people from the vehicle sector involved might be a good thing for dh to try. I lost the previous page so I've lost alot of your gripes sorry trying to remember or I will lose this post because I can't go back a page.
Here is my gripe. Went to the opt this morning no retinal tear (thank God) but my shit I forget the name. The gel in my eyes is starting to leak so I have to go back in 5 weeks to see how much it's changed. He also said I need an MRI for my head so that's another new worry, but maybe they will fiquire out what's causing the headaches and get rid of them once and for all. Still drinking my peg lite doesn't work every night though, tastes like sweet weak freshie with no real flavour and a bad after taste but I will keep drinking it. What else, Oh yeah I HATE BREAST CANCER, I HATE CANCER ANY KIND! Now I'm going to lay down and read a Ruth Rendall written as Barbara Vine book for as long as I can.
Everyone have a good weekend. Shit just heard on BBC news there is a killer virus in China has killed many children but they haven't said what the virus is yet, I hope it's not the bird flu. I'm sad for the parents and the children I hope they get it in check fast. Will pray.

Can a dog groomer get the skunk stink off?
I've had a 32 ounce can of tomato juice around for 7 years for a dog + skunk event.
All it's antidote properties have probably expired by now.

they are calling the virus Entera Virus and they are upset with China as they kept it quiet for a week, it's apparently only killing children under six, how sad. Oh and just saw this on my yahoo site.

Here is my bitch.....some days I just wake up sad. There is just his overwhelming "hangover" of sadness.....like I had a really bad dream and woke up and the dream still hangs on.
Nothing has changed since yesterday. My treatment is going fine.....but still, I can't shake the feeling.
Stupid....

DebC - I know this hangover of sadness when waking up. I know it well. Actual life in the morning isn't on par with where I go in my dreams. Waking up feels like an interruption.
The thing is, my dreams have been SO super excellent I'm thinking who'd want to wake up from them anyway? They are the best dreams I've ever had. Have you been having really wonderful dreams and just sleeping longer than you need to? When I do have to get up, I wake up in a fog really NEEDING a cup of coffee or my head just flops back down on the pillow. This is not the former me. Formerly, I barely remembered what I dreamt about and woke up clear headed and ready to roll. Now, my dreams are just these luscious, extravagant, joyous, happy places I go to at night. This is going to sound so weird, but when I turn out my light and lay my head on my pillow, it's like I'm getting ready to go to a great movie. There's ususally even food in my dreams!! And handsome romantic men, me feeling great, and going places I could only could in my imagination.
Sorry for going on so long about this but you got me thinking about this. I'm also not taking anything but benedryl which I have for allergy.
So this is not stupid. I just feel like pulling the comforter back over my head and going back to where I was before I was so rudely interrupted by waking up.

damn...i wish you could video your dreams for us, hanna. are you ever drinking martinis with the handsome, romantic men in them? i never remember mine.
foot update: i had comfortable shoes in the car and it turns out never needed them. my feet did just fine in the cute ones, and i'm baffled as to how that happened. probably if i didn't have a second pair with me, they would have blistered my feet and given me problems.
Pearl: I can't remember what I said about my husband, so not sure what your post is referring to, except that it's talking about one of my husband's many irritating habits. i'm fairly certain my case of chemobrain is record-setting and should be in a guiness book.

Hey g! Glad your feet did fine in the cute shoes!
I wish I could video my dreams too....I'd get a producer to make them into movies then get rich and share all my money with you girls.
I swear, I have the most deranged looking chest set-up of my life but the best romance dreams ever. Fongool!
Honestly....ladies...I highly recommend taking benedryl at bedtime. You won't be counting sheep.....
OK, the two glasses of Sauvignon Blanc I've been sipping for the past 2 hours are wearing off and I might have to go back and edit some of my more risque posts. Gonna be busy I think.
Later hanna

Gsg - glad the cute shoes worked out.
I dreamed about having hair the other night. It looked and felt real but I knew it was really a wig.
There is nothing that compares to Percoset dreams. 5 years ago I had gallbladder surgery and I still remember vivid Percoset dreams about hummingbirds in kilts flying into elevators.

Patrice, I'm too late to help you, but I see everything turned out just fine. You do remember the hooker heels I talked about wearing to my dd's wedding. I WILL NEVER, NEVER EVER do that again!
{{{Deb}}}, I hate that you are feeling sad. Ya know, it really sucks when one day you think you're feeling pretty normal, then WHAM, the next day it's that icky feeling again.
Pearl, your eyes, vetreous detachment. I have it too. Plus about 4 other girls on the board. Hope your MRI will solve the headache problem. AND I HATE CANCER TOO!
Hanna, you won't believe the dream I had two nights in a row. I dreamed my husband and I made love. LOLOLOL! I hope he doesn't read this. I hope NOBODY reads this. Patrice and I were just talking about the mojo thread (and how we really don't care)...suppose that could be why that particular dream? My dh should be on here bitching, moaning and groaning...well, leave off the moaning and groaning. I think I need to get something stronger than iced tea to drink. What'cha got?

Hey Shirley - I laughed so hard aobut your hooker heels! Whne we moved back to Alaska I swore I was never going to wear uncomfortable shoes again. I threw away everything that hurt my feet. I ended up with 2 pair of Birkenstock clogs, a pair of tennis shoues and a pair of black ballet flats. Since then I have added sandles, winter boots and hip waders....no hooker heels though
I am over my little weepy mood this morning. It was kind of weird....like something in my dream made me sad, but I couldn't remember what. Odd...
OK....Off to have some dinner so I can eat cake

My bitch this evening is not even bc related. Eight Belles the only female horse in the Kentucky Derby ran her heart out today. She beat all those studs except for one and then broke down right after she crossed the finish line. I have to figure out what that means to me.
Shirley: I just want to give you a big hug. Your words to me yesterday were so kind.
Lorena: Oh I have had those dreams. They are so real.
Hanna: Im enjoying a glass of wine myself tonight.
GSG: I bet you looked stunning today and no pain in the feet to boot.
DebC: I have a hang over sadness right now. Hate the feeling, want to just shake it off. That is indeed a good bitch for the day.
Snow: When I loose a big post I usually get so disguted I turn the computer off.
I havent watched the news, so this is the first Im hearing about a killer virus.
The skunk story. Yes we used tomato juice. Yes he still smells but not as bed. We put more baby power on him. The house smells like a combination of doggy poop, urine, and something else!! He is going to the groomer on Monday and besides getting cut, Im hoping as experts they know how to deal with this. I live in a residential neighborhood. Skunks? Geesh Louise.
OK - this song isnt about breast cancer. But I love to listen to it when Im really upset about something.

I just read on "that other thread" that your dd's made you homemade chocolate cake and choc pudding to put on it. Oh, my, that sounds delish! There's that one large piece of cake that my dh is supposed to eat tomorrow and if he doesn't eat it tomorrow it's going in the trash UNLESS I get stuff it in my mouth first.
About shoes..I definitely go for comfort now. I don't have any birkies, but I'm into Clark sandals. They're not pretty, but are very comfy. I will wear a stacked hill or shootie type show with jeans that are too long if I wear something too flat. But those shoes are comfy too OR I would not wear them.
Most of all I want to say I'm so glad you're over your weepy mood. It ain't fun. It's miserable. AND IT SUCKS! Oh, this is not the "suck" thread, but who cares.
Hugs,
Shirley

Thanks, Nicki, for the hug. We can always use them. And I'm glad your dh came to his senses. Sometimes it takes us getting angry (really hurt) and letting them know I DON'T NEED YOU! It works for my husband when I get really upset with him. I gripe about him, but he's not ALL bad. After all, he puts up with me. LOL
The skunk! Oh my gosh! I'm from Texas, and let me tell you, I've smelled many, many skunks. We would be traveling along and darn, that skunk smell would stink for miles (it seemed). None of my animals have been sprayed by one though. PPEEEwwwwww!
Hopefully, the pro can get the rest of the smell out.

Hey, re: feeling sad. I am pretty ok, but I keep having to stop myself from crying over all kinds of crap. TV shows, commercials, pets, mother's day cards, gifts. the damn NEWS! Music, history!
If I had any hormones I'd blame that, but I've never been a crier, really.
And this sucks, too, but not near as much as --- well, here I go again, I'm crying about all the shit you are going thru.

OH Shirley I loved the video!! You just find THE best stuff to show us! I watched it 4 times!! Thank you honey!!

Hi gals,
I didn't really have a gripe today until about 45 minutes ago when my gut decided it did NOT like something I ate earlier today. I have been to the porcelain god 3 times in the last 20 minutes with belly ache/cramping, dizziness and headache. And I haven't even started chemo yet!! I want desperately to go to sleep (HannaB - can I borrow a dream?!) but am afraid to lay down...so I'm up with you all. But at least I had a chance to catch up...sigh.
Shirley - the video is hysterical. LMAO!! But very carefully...
Nicki - Since I'm up I browsed the news and just read the story about Eight Belles. Heartbreaking.
Deb C - glad you're feeling better, but know what you mean. We went to see Godspell in the theatre today and it was all I could do to keep from breaking down in the theatre...and that was during the funny parts!
O.K., I think my Pepto has finally kicked in. I better get some sleep 'cause I let one of my dd's have a sleepover tonight and I know they won't be sleeping in...

can i have two gripes at once?
i keep waking up in middle of night -even though i can not stay awake during day no matter what.....
and i miss my very comfortable bed and snuggling my dp and two dogs at night.
it's so lonely in the recliner
0 -
Of course you can have 2. My first response was going to be "only 2?" My gripe is that I can't GET comfortable in my bed, and I keep rollling over in my sleep to my bad boob and armpit side. Wakes me every time.......When I sleep in the recliner I have to watch tv to fight the loneliness.
Sleep tight, flyrzfan!
Marsha

hmmmmm....thanks Marsha ~ I did sleep tight until about an hour ago. ugh. i am at least grateful i can get comfortable in my recliner

Dotti, what can we do to help you? If we could be find those guys that Traci went to see...dusty undies..something like that. She posted a pic of them....older fellas...but not bad for their age. Of course I'm 62! I'm sending you a big hug from N. C. Oh, and the news Nicki shared about the horse...when I saw it, oh my gosh! I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry again!

I know others said stuff to me on the previous page, but I can't remember what.
Dotti: I wish i could cheer you up somehow.
