A beautiful day on the Mountain.

SIERRA.  I love all your memories of fun times here in our sunshine state.

The RIVER.  Russian River.  Oh yes it's still going strong.

There is a new bridge built over the River in town.  Remember how narrow the old one was.

With the playland thing on the other side.

Bohemian Grove still going strong with the Pres. i dent and cabinet members coming to

camp among the Redwoods each year and the protesters always in full voice.

It changes like the tide each generation but it will always be the RIVER.

Times jumping off the Hacienda Bridge into the river. All the fun shops.

The 5 and Dime is still there. Still called the Five and Dime but with higher prices.

The bakery with the most yummy brownies ever.

Armstrong Woods a most beautiful place.

My grandparents had a great cabin up the hill above Johnsons Beach. Great memories.

Every year there is the Raggae Festival and The Jazz Festival that hundreds attend

which makes the shop owners very happy.

Korbel Winery on the way to Rio Nido.

    *

As for the ducks.  All our ducks are grown now but we did raise some from ducklings.

Chicks from hens and all that.

It's so scary how something can come in the night and take the babies away.

So with trial and error we have made sure our live stock is protected from predators

    that come in the night.

Wishing everyone a happy Sunday of rest and relaxation.

See you later on the Mountain.

    XOXO

    Hello ladies, hello sweet mountain.

Sierra, I really appreciate the duck site, very interesting.  You and Sahalie have been to alot of the same places, how cool is that.

Sahalie, I went to one reggae festival in bricktown and loved it, the music has such a get down got a move beat.  Love Bob Marley music.  Love Jazz also like Nora Jones, to me she is the young queen of jaz.

Sahalie do your adult ducks hatch out their eggs and give you babies?  Do you eat duck eggs?

Do you have any idea where to buy swans?

It has been such an extremely busy day that it is so nice to come to the mountain and just let it all be.  Peace.

Oh, Deb, that is an awesome picture.  Love it.  It is a glorious day on the mountain today.  Cool but with the sun shining.  May get out and putter in the yard today.  Or take a hike down to the pond and check out how full it is after a week of rain.  The river is finally up and we may take a row boat trip down it, like we did a couple of summers ago.  Everyone have a great day.

Spar, yes I live in the country, but not as far out as you do.  I am close to the necessities of life.  Supermarket, video store, liquor store, lol!  We do have a lot of wildlife in the area and we love to watch it.

Hi Sahalie!  Big gentle hugs right back at you!  I have been having problems with this knee replacement and with all the trips to physical therapy, I haven't had a lot of time to post.  I seem to spend my days exercising, lol.

I love the duck stories.  When we go to the Tractor Supply store, they have ducklings and chicks in the Spring.  They are so darned cute!!!!  I wish I could take them all home with me.

Hey, Biker, you are so right, they are all so cute, if possible I would bring all the ducks, rabbits, chicks home with me but they all grow up and eat alot.  I can't believe the amount baby ducks eat and drink and poop.  We have to get up during the night like every 2 to 3 hours to give them water and they are loud enough to wake you when its needed.  When they are bigger and transferred outside they have a automatic watering jug.  Was sure hoping your knee replacement would have gotten a lot better by now.  Can you not extend it all the way?  My son-in-laws brother had it done and had to go back in and break up scar tissue because he couldn't bend it anymore and he said it worked miracles for him, he is fine now but boy he has suffered with those knees.

Hopefully you'll be able to ride and enjoy the wind in your hair this summer.  We like pictures too.

Hi Arnie, a happy tuesday to you too. I love goofy and he is really relaxed above.

Sahalie, am missing you friend.  Hope all is well.  Guess what all my lab was normal today, the dr. said I can't find one thing to fuss at you about.  YEA!

Hi Deb, how are you today, got some more pictures to share.

Lisa, hopeing you share the pictures from you trip, am sure they will all be good ones.

Good morning everyone!  Whew, its just been raining and raining and raining here.  Its rained everyday for the past week.  And I'm not talking about nice little April/May showers, I mean big ole gullywashers.  Last night the news showed that we were getting 3 inches of rain an hour.

Sherry, how are the ducklings doing?  Can we have some more pictures.  They are so cute!  If I had a pond, I would definitely get some ducks.

I got your package yesterday and the necklace is gorgeous.  I have the perfect outfit to wear it with too!  Also, all your squares are wonderful.

Well coffee is brewing so I'm going to get some and be back later.

Oh, Jaz so glad you liked it and glad you have something to wear with it.  the ducks are so sweet and yep I can get some pictures.  They are growing and strong little guys/girls, can't tell what sex they are but am hoping for 1 male and 2 females.  I want some swans but have no clue where to buy some.

The weather has been pouring here all week also.  The sun came out this afternoon and it is so humid, I was sweating just after a short walk.  I may go take a walk and talk some pictures to post later.

Happy day on the mountain.  Love Maxine, have never seen a bad maxine joke.

Here is my little circular paradise one end and the other.  I use to have a wooden rocking bench out under the shade but have to put a new coat of sealer on it before I put it back out in the weather.

Hi everyone, I would like swans because they are so beautiful and our pond is so large.  I would love to have swans and ducks.  It is another one of my on earth paradises. yes, those are my new babies.  My son when he lived in Dover, Delaware had a pond and swans in his backyard pond and my mom would take pictures and write poems about them.  I will have to post her poem on them soon.  I just fell in love with them.  They are fasinating

Mary-Lou, so good to see you passing through, come on back when you can stay longer.  Miss ya.

Jazzy girl, we must have about the same weather, it was really foggy here too and the farther north I went the foggier it got.  It did rain in Norman but not here.  DH is digging up weeds and ordered 1500 pods of a special grass that is suppose to be really soft and grow in shade or sunlight.  We have a lot of shade here.  We are planting a cherry tree, am very excited about that one.

I really want another weeping willow tree as those are my favorite and he said yes, this fall.

Everyone have a wonderful evening.  I believe I will be going to bed early tonight.

Spar, there is a beautiful old farm near my house, that has a huge pond (well, amost a lake).  They have 2 lovely white swans.  I have heard that they will scare away the Canadian Geese, but they all live together on the pond, lol!  Sometimes, on my way to work, there is a light mist on the water and the geese are gliding along through it.  It is breathtakingly beautiful.  One of these days I'll get a pic.

Oh Biker, I would love to have a picture of that, I bet it is beautiful.  I can just see it in my mind.  When I worked at the prison as a nurse I had all country roads and no traffic,  I kept my camera in the car and took sunrise pictures, there was a swamp type land with mist rising off of it,  would stop and take pictures of that.  Everyone have a geat day on the mountain.  hugs and peace.
