Morning ladies! It's going to be a hot week here in Denver, in the 90's. But for me with the hot flashes, more like 120's. But I do cut down on smoking because it's too hot!

FIfish, so phunny. If that is what it takes you to come to Denver than I will share my other cooking experience such as my frozen dinners. I know which neighbor it is or pretty sure. Will have a talk with him. Of course he will probably lie so have to crafty about this.

Butterfly, I want you as a friend in FB. Look me up. Janet Zingano. I looked at dogs for 2 hours yesterday. Still thinking about it as they do fill an empty void. Get your appointment soon and get it over with, nothing like waiting. Then you can move on to the next step and you will feel better. Having a lump should speed things up and I would push for the earliest date. You have us and we will be there with you! Will send you positive vibes!

The rest of you, got some dead pics on facebook. Confused one of my ex's friends, lol. Oh boy oh boy, July 5th is coming up quick! Great day to quit!!

Wishing all of you sunshine but not to HOT!

Janiz - Loved the dead pic's on FB and your friends question...made me laugh out loud :)

Butterfly - I'll PM you with how to look me up on FB...anyone else want to connect just PM me and I'll be happy send you the details...

Ok Girls - I am leaving for Phoenix in the next few hours - I hope that I will have Internet access while away so I can come to you ladies for support - this is real isn't??????  After tomorrow, I won't be able to pretend this is just a bad dream...Starting to get scared...hubby keeps asking how I am...too quite (not usual) - I wish this part was already done...wish I was in the Bahama's right now drinking cocktails from a coconut with a straw...thank GOD for my friends in Phoenix who are taking hubby & I out for dinner tonight so at least I will have a little break from obsessing :)

    Love you guys!

    Big Gentle Hugs

Hi o2bhealthy, that was pretty funny huh. Guess people may not know where my ex and I stand, we are distant friends as his girlfriend is jealous of me. I wish you luck tomorrow, I will be there in thought!!!! My dad lives in Parker Arizona, if I fly that way I will have to look you up!

o2bhealthy...I am putting you high on my prayer list...you will be just fine...I let my mind get crazy about it too. But don't worry, you will do well!!..I was kinda worried when they came in my room the next morning and said "time to go home" my surgery was late in the day..didn't get to my room til 7p and then...out the next am...What I had read online about the surgery was outdated I guess, b/c it stated that patients stay for a few days...I wanted to stay longer and keep getting the good IV pain killers...the only thing that really hurt  were the drains...OMG!!  I was so happy when #1 came out and ecstatic when #2 did.  Weird thing for me and my MX was that NO ONE told me that I would lose all feeling in my breast, arm pit and part of my arm..this was scary and I still don't like it all. I think maybe I am getting some felling back near my cleavage area. It feels wierd when I touch this area...real tingly and odd. Overall, my experience, surgically, was not a bad one..thought I would be in a lot of pain, but no.

Watch out for that arm though...no one told me about lymphedema either!!! And about infections!!! I really needed to know this b/c i am right arm dominate and suffered several small infections from tiny scratches and insect bites(left bad scars)...Everyone needs to be so careful and protect thier affected arms.....I will stop rambling now....hope everyone has a wonderful day....jules

Janzin....quick reminder...less than 2 weeks til our quit date!!! I have been planning my strategy...I love jolly ranchers..gotta find out if they make calorie free ones!!..Keep poking DH for him to quit too...he stays very stressed these days with his job and says he can't handle it just now...I am the type that when I am a non-smoker...I absolutely HATE the smell of it. Just cannot be around it all..I am worried about him continuing and me being sickend by his smoke odor...yuk yuk to have to kiss a smoker when I quit. I can do this..just had to make up my mind.....Janzin...we can do it together...catch ya ltr.....jules

    Athena congrats on 7 weeks.

Wel,, today is Day 66 for me..I have gained 8 lbs (that's not good!!) and I had just lost 19 before I quit. I ffel like a stuffed sausage. I am glad that I am not smoking.  My clothes smell better now, so clean..I never smelled that while I was smoking.

To everyone I did not mention..still trying to remember everyone's names...my hugs to all of you.

Have a great rest of today,

    hugs and prayers,

Michelle--best of luck on your surgery.  You will do great, you are much stronger than you can ever imagine.

Janzin......frozen dinners????  You are killing me!  I just made an old fashion southern dinner tonight.  BBQ chicken with fried ocra (sp?) with a ranch/lime/cilantro dipping sauce.  Let me tell you, this Yankee girls has really learned to LOVE southern food (Jules--you know what I am talking about)...now if I could only learn how to make grits...lol.

Jules--I am with you on the quit date.  I will push on my dh too, it is hard to do it alone!

    Hugs to all.

Thanks everyone for all your support...doing much better this afternoon. Met with a naturopath and have a game plan to promote healing and prepare for chemo...feels soooo much better having a plan Laughing

Janet - would love to see you if you are out this way...

Ellie - can I come to your house for dinner? YUM!!!!

Jules- thanks for the input about LE...didn't realize bug bites and small scratches could be an issue Frown My poor hubby has strict instructions to smack people (ie Nurses or dr's who don't read pt charts) silly if they even try to touch my right arm after surgery.  We are even thinking of writing "NO BP, IV, NEEDLES in this arm" on my arm with a big black pen just to be safe...

Candie - congrats on 66 days!!!!! I didn't really notice the smell on my clothes until I started cleaning out my closet last weekend and ran across some clothes I have not wore in a while...PU - I had to wash them Laughing

If my hubby had access to internet at the hospital, I'll have him post a quick update, otherwise I'll touch base after we get home.

BIG Gentle HUGS to all my BC Butt Fondler Friends!!

Nice dinner Jules, sounds great!  Every one of you is welcome at my home for dinner if you ever make it down the south Florida way.

I too am worried about gaining more weight.  I am already heavier than I want to be.  (I gained 30 pounds over the last 10 years...since I met my husband the cook!)  We have had many stop smoking tips, anyone know of any that help you at least keep your weight steady?  Tamox doesn't help either, it is a constant battle to maintain where I am at...ugh....

    Hi Ladies.

Wow- the activity and love on this site is great.  Hope all of you are having a good day.

It is day 2, for me, without smoking.  I felt like crying during the afternoon yesterday (all afternoon), but didn't give in.  I have my exchange/augmentation July 22, so decided to quit one month before.  Am tellling myself that I can start smoking again after that, if I want.  That kind of takes a little stress off.....

I think I am doing ok on the chantix.  The side effects are alittle worrisome, and I don't really feel like myself, and I have had laryngitis for 5 days (and that wasn't listed as a SE).  Anyway,

hhmm......don't know why  the rest of my note didn't come through.....

I really don't like when I type and type and get down what I want, then "POOF"  it just disappears.....  probably show up elsewhere.

Anywho..... I will sign off for now.  Hoping all of you have a good day.

Thank you for making me smile.

Calling all breast cancer sisters... can you do me a favor?  I know this is off the topic and I hope it's okay to post this but...I am trying to win a contest for my son (to meet his idol - Joe Perry, Aerosmith)... all you have to do is click on this link and click on the thumbs up icon to vote for our entry (legit site, legit contest, MOST deserving young man!)... can you please help me?  Just trying to bring a little joy into my son's life after all this depressing /chemo stuff... voting is only June 23-26... please vote?  It'll only take a second... help me bring joy to this boy! :)  Thank you so much!  P.S.  It says you can only vote once, but if you have more than one computer I think you can vote twice.. lol

    OB2HEALTHY UPDATE!

My wife just got checked in for her surgery.  Almost had to rip heads off since the registration lady said "We are doing a Mastectomy on the Left", well, lets see, the cancer was found on the Right and she is having a double MS, so our reply was "HELL NO, BOTH"! Anyhideho, just wanted everybody to know that the reality of the moment is really setting in and like my wife said to me yesterday, "I am like the Tazmanian Devil on a Tilt-a-whirl".  I promised her that I would keep her Butt Fondlers informed, so that is what I will do.  More to come.....

Hi Ladies, I am getting confused with what I post here or on face book, lol. I looked up all the different dogs trying to figure out what would be a good fit for me and my cat and I have decided on a Jack Russell. Their antics will definitely put a smile on my face.

O2bhealthy, wishing you well! I was pretty happy when I came out of the surgery, great drugs! Your hubby is awesome! You are lucky!!!

Jules, I laughed on your mac and cheese! Your dinner sounds great. I am with ya on a game plan. I will get my 99% fat free popcorn, I also spray it that I can't believe it's butter spray, hikes and TV and take a vacation from life just to focus on this one thing, QUITTING!

Candie, congrats on your 67 days! You rock!!

Fifish, you cracked me up! Your dipping sauce sounds so gourmet, have to come by your house for dinner! I am worried about weigh gain too. Last time I gained 20lbs. I will find activities this time such as dancing. And I REFUSE to buy larger clothes!!! I am starting this diet plan with Visalus, will let you know how that goes.

MB, you had me cracking up on your post! Thanks for the smile. Congrats on 2 days. The side effects will mellow out so hang in there. Go ahead and cry, sometimes that is the process of quitting. It will pass and you will feel better!

Rest of you ladies, wishing you well!

O2bhealthy Husband...you ROCK!  That is just so cool of you that you are giving us updates.  Please let Michelle know that we are all thinking of her and sending her our prayers.

Ok, Janzin, we have a deal.  We will both quit smoking on the 5th and REFUSE to buy larger clothing.  I don't care if I end up looking like a stuffed sausage, I will NOT go up another size.  Gosh, this would be easier if we all lived closer, then there would be fellow quitters to hang out with.  I am hooked on playing texas hold'em online (for free, I am not a big gambler), so maybe when I want a smoke, I will play a game of poker.

See you all in cyberspace.  Love ya!

Tick tock, the waiting game stinks.  She is now in surgery and her father and step-sister is here to help pass time by.  I appreciate the support and she is an amazing woman with a spirit that cannot be matched anywhere.  She inspires me daily to be a better man and husband.  She is God's gift to me and I cannot be more thankful.

Well, she is resting now and I have to tell you.  One hour out of surgery and she was a groggy yet histerically spirited wife that I love.  She looked amazing to me and the surgeons were very complimentary on how well it all went.  Hey, can I pick a wife or can't I?!

O2B husband.   This is great your posting.

Now one important thing.  They can not take her blood pressure on the side they checked the lymup node.

That is great that she has no lump involvement that was my situation.  Thank God.

Your doing great try to stay with her as long as they allow you.  My sister slept in the room,

but by they kept  taking my blood pressure on the cancer side/lumph node sde by mistake, everyone assumed either side was fine to take a blood pressure, which determines the pain medicine level she can have.  They had to stop my pain meds and I have to tell you I was in terrible pain.

    Please question that and ...

    Any quesiton ask away.
