    Hi Essa,

Are you using the natural progesterone? Is there any contraindication to using it since you are +pr? I am also er and pr +, and it seems all the treatments are indicated for the estrogen but not the progesterone. I have used the natural progesterone in the past, but with the cancer being pr+, not sure I can ever use it again.

After several months of hot flashes from going off my BHRT they are slowly beginning to fade...that is if the tamoxifen I'm taking doesn't kick them up again.  Hopefully this drug and I can coexist and I can get some additional protection from recurring bc.

As long as I can maintain a good QOL I will avoid the BHRT in the future.

    Happy Valentine's Day!

I began bio identical progesterone AFTER my diagnosis.  I had almost no progesterone which I need to make natural killer cells and to balance the estrogen.  I do not use it vaginally.  I use it on arms, chest, neck and hairless parts of arms ... I was told to apply it up high to keep it from going to quickly to the liver and being processed out.  The Doc used to say use a different spot every application but now says doesn't matter.

    Glutathione?

    Hi anyone here use glutathione?
I am looking for a patch or cream that is supposed to be a better way to get it into the system, but especially one that is scent-free as I cannot stand fragrances and herb-smells on my body.

truebff:  I have been on glutathione for about two months.  I take a tsp full each morning (liquid form) and once weeklly I get it in my IV infusion at the very end.  It is a powerful antioxidant and our body needs it to process all other antioxidants and supplements.

You would think that with all the vitamins I'm taking I would be in top condition, but I still caught a little cold this week.  We'll see how quick it goes away.

ALTHEA - Congrats what a gret field to go into, and so needed, there are not many out here to do the work.

ENGLISHROSE - I am not using the progesterone cream now, but if I do again it would be with a lot more knowledge and the amount I described.  I am afraid to use it LOL very afraid at this point, so checking every possible resource and waiting for hormone tests.

ANYONE???? Question about dairy, I am stilluncertain about dairy products, after reading the info from Jane Plant, from UK, see Your Life In Your Hands and other books.  Who is one dairy, who uses organic hormone free. Just wondering about experiences and beliefs.  Thanks.

Kaara, where do you get it, what brand?

My Chinese medicine practioner wants me on a cream form of it as it is best absorbed that way, but I am searching for one that is unscented.

Hello ladies, I was recently handed (off record....) a pamphlet; I trust this member of my medical team implicitly. Came home, googled and I will definitely add this to my arsenal Wink

    Testimonies from doctors, cardiologist, etc.:

truebff:  I get it from my naturopath...it's called ReadiSorb.  It is in liquid form and must be refrigerated.  When I get my IV infusion each week, at the end more glutathione is injected into the IV at the end.

Thank you Essa for the link, you sound like me = studying Wink

I never had a root canal (thank God)  Back in my days, dentists pulled out teeth, must be the reason why I hate dentists...lol

Passing this on, interesting....yup, that's me: denial, anger

PSYCHOLOGICAL RESPONSE TO BREAST CANCER: EFFECT ON OUTCOME

A prospective, multidisciplinary, 5-year study of 69 consecutive female patients with early (T0,1 N0,1 M0) breast cancer was conducted. Patients' psychological responses to the diagnosis of cancer were assessed 3 months postoperatively. These responses were related to outcome 5 years after operation. Recurrence-free survival was significantly common among patients who had initially reacted to cancer by denial or who had a fighting spirit than among patients who had responded with stoic acceptance or feelings of helplessness and hopelessness.

Well then I will be doing wonderfully in twenty years LOL

eeeeee found this link too, sorry but it is on a site for an integrative clinic in Ecuador, but good info just the same.  I will want to read cautiously, I already feel overexposed when most vulnerable. The statistics are pretty gruesome to me.

Maud:  I think the key is the "feelings of helplessness and hopelessness".  When I was dx with bc last October, my first though was "It is what it is...I can't change that".  I didn't completely freak out, so I guess that could be called stoic acceptance.  My next thoughts were to make some decisions that would create a first line of defense, like diet and lifestyle changes.  Next I took to the internet to do my research on treatment options.  To be honest, I haven't had time to feel helpless or hopeless...I've been too busy trying to beat this thing, and I feel very confident that I'm on the right path.

It's normal to have feelings of denial and anger, but in short order, you'd better be ready to hit the ground running if you want to stay ahead of the challenge.  I treated bc the same way I treated a challenge when I was in business...step back, do an assessment, then make a plan and follow through.  In the final analysis, you have to be flexible enough to make changes in the plan as you see fit.

Essa-You are doing the right thing. You are reseaching and taking control of your own life. This is what I did. It is very empowering, even though you might feel like you are sometimes swimming in too much information. Eventually you will figure out what it right for you and it will bring you a very calming sense of peace. Doing so has taken away my fears of cancer. I now feel that I am tougher than it is. The mind is a powerful weapon.

As for the root canal issue-We have a thread here about it. Of course, the naysayers have tried to dismiss this. But I did a lot of reading on the topic, heard some very prominent doctors speak about the dangers or root canals and mercury and then I got 3 consults with biological dentists. They all said to get that tooth out ASAP. I did not have any pain in the root canal tooth, but I finally had it pulled for peace of mind. It was BLACK underneath! All that bacteria was causing a huge strain on my immune system.

Kaara, you're absolutely right, wish I could express myself as well as you ladies, kind blessings

Essa, I am sooo torn with HAVING TO DO mammograms according to my BS, if only because they hurt so damn much !!!   I managed to have him agree to do an US this time around.  Last follow-up was an MRI - NEVER AGAIN !  Will have to find out more about thermograms, but when I mentioned it to BS, he totally dismissed it

Maud:  Thermography is a good non invasive way to discover small developing tumors long before they would show up on a mammogram, but you would then have to have other diagnostics...probably an MRI to determine exactly what they were and whether they needed removing.  Personally, I am going to alternate between Thermograms and mammos every six months to make very sure I catch anything that might be developing early.

Hi Everyone,  Although I am not finished with Herceptin and have another 4 1/2 years of Anastazole left, I am really serious about trying to eat alot more "green"stuff. I do believe that eating healthy is so important.  I picked up a container of "Green Vibrance" today by Vibrant Health. I have heard great things about this product, but concerned about the flax and soy lecithin that it contains.  I am highly ER and PR positive.

    Any comments? or suggestions?Laughing

vivre, could you find that root canal thread and bump it for me?  My mom needs to visit a dentist soon.  All I can remember from it is mercury and root canals are very toxic, but I don't recall what good options for other choices exist.
