Gracie, love and prayers...feel them!
My sleep wake a mess today.....St Jerome: " Nothing is more to be feared than too long a peace. You are deceived if you think that a Christian can live without persecution. He suffers the greatest persecution of all who lives under none. A storm puts a man on his guard and obliges him to exert his utmost efforts to avoid shipwreck." From Daily Catholic Bible. sainta and art book is Saint Frumentius. He was the evangelizer for Ethiopia- lived in the 4th century. Frumentius is of Latin origin and means " who delights"
love and prayers to all! xoxo,

YEA!...I'm still NED. Still no explanation for all of the pain in my lower back, but one thing we know, it is not a reoccurance. I'm clean. I do have osteopenia, so they started me on Fosamax. But that's ok, I'll take that. I'll have to see my regular doc to see what he wants to do next about the back pain.
Thank you all for all of your wonderful prayers. They do work wonders. And it is always a comfort to know that people are praying for us, regardless if we know them or not.
Will continue to pray along with all of you for all of our sisters everywhere.
God Bless you all,
Gracie

Ladies
Totally off topic but is anyone else offended by this? Why isnt there an uproar, I just dont get it
Why would it be necessary for someone to urinate on a picture of Christ and feel it somehow is funny? The guy is the creator of Seinfeld.
What do you guys think?
Best wishes & prayers to all!0 -
That is so offensive and upsetting to hear! Coming from a Seinfeld creator may explain things but not justify that!
I am happy to find this thread. Please keep me in your prayers sisters as I am battling recurrence with IBC- going through TX 2nd time. I know Jesus will never fail me and I will have that "supernatural healing."
God Bless all,
Jeannine

First I am praising our Father for His mercy with our dear Karen.. I want to cry tears of happiness but my eyeballs hurt to bad.
Karen.. I am so happy for you sister. So happy.
Obviously I am home. Surgery was at 7:30am. We got home at 11:00am
Capsulectomy... OUCH... revision on bags under eyes...( insision on the inside so I am super blurry and eyesball HURT)..... moles and a skin cancer taken off ( no pain).. and bigger implants.
Dr. R could only get 500cc. in there. He said even that was hard. I m tight in there and he said I am just tiny... ( WHATEVER..lol).. We are hoping just going up 50cc will help with the rippling. We are not super positive about this. He said he was going to try to get 600 in if he could.. after opening me.. he said " NO WAY, this little gal might get 500..." So this is what I got.
Laides. this time.. I hurt... but I can handle it. I cannot really see to type... due to the blury eye...( WIERD).. so no spell check for me...lol....
Thank you all from the top of my head to the bottom of my piggy's for your prayers and thoughts for me. I love yu !
if I feel up to it.. I will check in later... If anyone knows how to copy and paste... could you post this post to the Ta Ta Vegas thread and ( Angel) my Catholic thread...

What a blessing to have discovered this thread! Thank you, Laura, for just mentioning it!
Not being a "cradle Catholic," I'm not as educated as I should be about the saints, and did not know about St. Peregrine. An Episcopal friend sent me a prayer card for St. Raphael, God's Holy Archangel, which I prayed for healing, especially around my surgeries. I will most certainly start a novena to St. Peregrine - especially because I had one friend in surgery yesterday for an exisional biopsy and learned just today that another aquaintance - actually also Catholic - was diagnosed recently and has positive nodes........
May God bless you all with comfort and healing!

Laura, thanks for mentioning this thread on EC.
Throughout this whole journey I have stepped away from my faith (and I used to be so active in the Church) and I am finding it difficult to get back. Praying this thread will lead me where I need to be.

g94u67 Val61, Denise: Welcome!!! We are all glad you joined us! We are moved to lift each other in prayer on this thread, and to share some of our walk with God.
Personally, I am determined to make BC an opportunity for further conversion for myself. If Christ could open the gates to Heaven for all mankind through His horrible death....then the least I can do is turn the table on this miserable disease and make it work for myself (and hopefully others) spiritually. So I look forward to praying for each of you and your intentions. That is something that I would not have been able to do had I not known you, and I would never have known you if it weren't for BC. Go figure..but there you have it, we turn straw into gold!
Concerned sis....totally disgusting. How so many people today feel they have a right to crucify Him all over again....I find astonishing. That being said, I am going to say a prayer for his conversion. That is the most powerful response we can have...and then turn off the TV!!
LAURA!!!!! So good of you to check in with us!! So sorry you are in pain!!! Where are those pain pills!!! I have had corneal abrasion in my day....eyeball pain is tough!!!! YUCK! Please get better soon...and I hope all you went through makes you as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside...if that is possible!
God Bless All of You!!!
PS Thanks 560sel for writing for Laura!!

Ditto on all above. I didn't have a minute to breathe yesterday much less check in but was thinking about Laura at7am. Gracie.....YIPPEEEEE!!!! Hallelujah! God is good. Thank you for letting us share your joy!
OK back to my daily saint business!
Yesterday was St Jude. You guys know about him so I'm skipping to today: Saint Narcissus of Jerusalem. He lived in the 3rd century and was the 20th bishop of Jerusalem. Nominated at age 100. led w/ decision and fortitude, presided over the council that established Easter must always fall on a sunday. Died at age 116. The name "Narcissus" is from Greek and means 'flavor'...
So there- go figure! I didn't know any of that!
quote from Daily Catholic Bible: "Yoke yourself under the law of god, so that you may be in truth a free man." St. Ephraem The Syrian
Have an awesome Thursday ladies! Lots of love and prayers for all of us!

Denise, I am so glad you are here with us. I have prayed ,so much, most of my life.. but there are times when I just cannot get myself to Mass. I am always struggling... but I know now, this is WHY Jesus had to come. For me...for you... for all of us.. we are sinners and it will always be this way until He comes again. Just keep praying Denise. When I cannot seem to pray.. or feel stuck... or just simply lazy..or even fallen away.. I just say.." Jesus, Jesus...etc...) He knows my intent is to get closer to Him... I have the want... just not always the will.
Just keep saying Jesus.
Love to you Denise!
Thank you St. Peregrine for your intercessory prayer, In Jesus name, Amen.

Please join me in prayer:
Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with thee. Blessed art though among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, JESUS. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, Amen..
Father, we pray for the soul of Stephanie ..TripleNeg...

Denise.. I had a thought for you.. it really worked for me..
You know how much treatment I had to have... I was driving down to St.L. weekly then daily for 8 months... I started listing to a basic Christian radio station here..that we have...Klove... 97.3
Listen to it everytime you can in your car... use it like prayer. It helped me immensely stay close to God when I needed Him the most.

This has been running through my head this morning, so thought I'd share....
"And He will raise you up on eagle's wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you in the palm of His hand...."
